Has anyone heard anything besides the 10 day ETA for them to receive a check for our money? I mean if they had their bank account closed, how do they expect to cash this "check"?

I think the idea is they will open a new account with the check.

Final withdrawal. I'll miss this pool.

Sad to see this site go.  I was also using it.

FWIW, I'm also a redditor and plan to set up a 0% fee BTC pool on my site (url below) within the next few days.  Will update this thread and my pool's thread once it's enabled.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] New pool www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: April 29, 2013, 04:51:30 AM
I've decided to decrease the pool fee to 0% for now.

I am also planning to add LTC, FTC, and BTC pools this week (probably monday or tuesday).  All PPLNS.

Are the stats on the site still a little off?  My miner has shown an average of 1gh/s and your site consistently shows I much lower.  I've been watching for days and my States on the site never come close to matching.  Such as I'm at 1.3gh/s and the site shows 400mh/s. Strange?

The stats are working properly right now, as far as I know.  Are you using multiple workers or only one?
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] New pool www.multipool.in 1% PPLNS on: April 29, 2013, 04:49:04 AM
I started pointing cgminer at your pool an hour ago. It says I have 85 accepted shares, and the stats on your site are still showing zero. Is the refresh/calculation rate on your site really slower than that, or am I somehow forked off or not actually connected?

Worker: Mastergerund.TRC

Edit: switched over to default Mastergerund.1 and pool seems to be accepting shares now. Maybe a bug in the worker designation scripts?

Did you actually create a worker called Mastergerund.TRC?

Everything works fine until now! Smiley

Solo mining, I'm only getting around 8kH/sec on a radeon HD 7970, is this normal?  I thought the hashrate would be similar to LTC.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: April 27, 2013, 06:45:59 AM
stratum you connect with stratum+tcp://   not http://

this has nothing to do with miner-pool connectivity, it has to do with pool-feathercoind connectivity.

Sorry for the quote stack. What do you mean? I'm live with this now, what kind of problems do you have with it?

I was under the impression that it wasn't working correctly based on the author's comments on that page. (under "Current issue details")

Are those issues closed?
Well, the pastebin is from 4-09 and I haven't had any issues in my testing/usage.

Well, not working for me..  I just get the following message nonstop in the logs and hashrates from 8-10 kH/sec with settings that normally get me around 700 on my miner (7970)

Has anyone gotten this working with stratum-mining or are all the stratum pools using litecoin-eloipool?

I think the inverse may be true. I didn't get litecoin-eloipool to work.

Is there a patch somewhere for stratum-mining?  I can't find anything.  The guy who runs coinotron sent me some patches he wrote and I was able to get a miner mining but the hashrate was really low and all the shares were being rejected.

https://github.com/viperaus/stratum-mining

Good luck :-)

Doesn't look like that's quite working yet...  Thanks though, I will keep an eye on it.

Let's see... 1500 Gigahashes divided by 350 megahashes... You need 4286 of my 5870 graphics cards, drawing 300 watts each? That's 1,285,800 watts, or... ahem... 1.21 Gigawatts if you round properly Wink
I think mega comes before giga.   you are talking about the output of a nuclear reactor when you "round" like that.   you are not correct.

for the second problem, add the following line at the top of interfaces.py with the other imports:

Code:
from stratum import settings

Did anyone tried this:

https://github.com/Tydus/eloipool-litecoin

?

Works ?

I tried it, can't get it to work.

I'm currently hung up on the following error:

BTE port is closing at end of this week.  It served as a nice testbed for the multi-coin code changes, but interest in it seems to have waned.  I'll keep it on the frontend for payments to those who have mined if the blocks ever get confirmed.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining BTC dead? Mining LTC Alive for how long? on: April 25, 2013, 08:30:49 PM
If all the GPU miners moved from BTC to LTC then LTC would have to be 1/4 of the price of BTC before the run in difficulty.
Mmm not quite. The network hashrate does not affect the price. User adoption and investment does.

This. The difficulty adjusts so that the average number of bitcoins mined remains the same no matter the hashrate.

and why this thread still open?

If we use the good sense to interpret the first post we can infer that some users that registered before the specified date still didn't post in here.

I am registered before Feb 19 and haven't yet received any XRP.

Can anyone help with 2 stratum server configuration problems?

Stratum server reports this error when running without extended db support:
Code:
1054, "Unknown column 'difficulty' in 'field list'"
Any ideea of how can I prevent this?

Also, when trying to disable variable difficulty (VARIABLE_DIFF = False) in config.py, the server reports this error:
Code:
ERROR protocol protocol.process_failure # [Failure instance: Traceback: <type 'exceptions.NameError'>: global name 'settings' is not defined
How can I fix this?

Run with extended DB support if you want to use vardiff.  Otherwise you won't be able to record the difficulty of the shares people are submitting and you won't be able to calculate payments correctly.
