Why did the cryptonit exchange make Feathercoin FTC instead od FC? I thought it was decided that FTC had already been used. I have been promoting it as FC and correcting everyone.
So which is it? We need to officially stand behind one abbreviation.
Oh he has too. I know ftc has been shunted due to problems there.. at least reading the comments before it opened. did he just reuse the code for ftc with fc?? oO

I think its better to use the three code abbrevation because ISO 4217 standard uses it for all the official currencies in the world. Forex uses it also for precious metals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217

It'd be great if feathercoin can just be FTC. Yeah, I thought there was a conflict with FTC. The only other logical choice in my opinion is FHC

ISO-4217 states that the first two letters should be country code Perhaps one day an ISO for crypto currency will come out and I bet that will have three letters too. I will update the clients to use FTC and publish in the week. No need to update but I will post back here when the change has been made.

If it ever wants to be taken seriously, it will have to be a 3-letter code to abide by ISO 4712. USD, EUR, CHF, etc. BTC & LTC aren't quite there yet; maybe someday...

I want to make sure I promote the correct abbreviation.

Great news, I must admit FTC seems the way to go, I'll update my app from FC to FTC too.

FTC FTW! I've started work on some feathercoin merchant vectors, will post them up when I get time to finish them Here's some rough ideas, need to update them to ftc: I like it. But FCCoin = Feather Coin Coin

Time for a new binary ? It's better to change the amount in the wallet from xxx FC to xxx FTC as soon as possible.

-MarkM- Okay. I've just grabbed from GitHub and everything compiles fine on Debain. If you let me know your exact distro I will try to recreate the problem? This has been tested on Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Win and Mac. Could you delete your Feathercoin folder and pull fresh from GitHub and try again?

Solo mining, I'm only getting around 8kH/sec on a radeon HD 7970, is this normal? I thought the hashrate would be similar to LTC.
