2281  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: May 04, 2022, 12:58:53 PM
I personally think freebitco.in has a good referral system not only because we earn from referrals but also from their earnings as well.
All the referrals that stay active and keep betting on the site earns some satoshis and we get a cut from their winnings.
Also, if we hold more than 30k satoshis in our account then we get interest paid on it daily in our account.

The further greater thing is that, by logic, if they keep doing this, they have to give all 21 million to their users eventually. That is exactly what this means, obviously, the users withdraw, but if nobody ever withdrew, then the amount they have ot pay keeps growing more and more and more eventually reaching 21 million, obviously, this is the technical approach. We all know that between all the people who are gambling, and the withdrawing, we are not going to have anything remotely close to that, this is just the math behind it to make sure that people realize how amazing what they are doing is.

I don't think that's how it works. Freebitco.in will only pay the users until their bankroll is not completely empty.
Obviously they would have thought this through already and will have a threshold limit after which they would announce that freebitco.in is going bankrupt.
May be after that announcement they will stop the operations for the time being and pay all the users their money.
May be once all of that is over they will raise funds and start their operations again but certainly they won't be so dumb to keep putting BTC in user's accounts until 21 million BTC lol. That sounds absurd

5.1% interest for your btc is better than “not bad”. It is outstanding. They are paying you interest on an asset that is limited by supply and they give you 5.1%. Think about that for a minute. The best part is they have been paying 4% for years and never failed their investors so I am very confident that they’ll be able to pay 5% also.

It is a lot of better than on a bank account for sure; the 4.08% (or up to 5.1%) is sustainable but it is also not the highest in the market. I have put around 0.1 BTC in freebitco.in a couple of years ago to profit from the interest and I will keep it in there until I really need it.

Whoa  Shocked Shocked That's a huge amount to put on a gambling site for "savings". I am sure you know "not your keys not your coins".
Although freebitco.in is a trusted gambling site and we have our emotions attached to it but we never know what happens.
What if it get hacked or something. Losing 0.1 BTC would be a pain.
2284  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: May 03, 2022, 02:39:15 PM
Hey Bitcointalkers,

What games do you like to play (mobile, board games, easy game with friends, etc.) that you would love to see put into an online casino for real betting?

There have been a lot of successful yet simple games in online casinos like Heads or Tails, Over/Under, and more. We are looking to see what games you guys love and wonder if we can turn them into an online betting game!

I would love board games that for example the Monopoly game to be offered which should not be that difficult to do.It should be fun to play against other people online while trying your luck and why not win some money if you are lucky.
The reason why these kind of games are not yet being implemented is because with the offerings that casinos have right now it is enough for people to be happy with those.

Yes even I like board games. I have also imagined playing my favorite board game Ludo online with other players while betting some amount on it.
It would be really fun where we could place a bet and the winner takes home all the money in it.
I even thought of creating a website for it but dropped the plan due to some reason.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO tracking site are you following? on: May 02, 2022, 04:58:08 PM
As others have already mentioned that ICOs are no more a thing in the crypto space you should try not to look at any of them.
Even if you find any, most likely you will end up losing money in them. If you want to invest in the initial stages of a project go for Binance launchpad.
It has better options to invest in projects at early stages and will most likely not end up in being a scam.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ever heard of this "buy at dip and be rich in the future" on: May 02, 2022, 04:46:39 PM
I did it all month of April. although do not know where the lowest point. I bought AXS, I bought Sol, ftm, luna, bitcoin, avax, all coins that I think have great potential and prices are falling. but today i started to doubt, what i did was right?
after I observed my assets were down quite a lot and it was enough for me to have trouble. I want to ask what did I do wrong? Or is this the right decision?

What you did wrong was going all in just a short span of time. You thought that the market wouldn't go further down and went all in.
But this is crypto and things go in opposite direction all the time. So the market fell further and prices of altcoins dipped further.
So what you had to do was buy some and wait to keep a track of prices. After some weeks buy some more if market falls further.
Keep monitoring and buy back more if it still falls. Never go all in at once.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOL The Chain Goes down Again ! ETH 2.0 and upgrade is the only solution ? on: May 02, 2022, 04:43:43 PM
I am a long term Solana holder but right now I am feeling kind of worried due to the frequent issues in the Solana blockchain.
I am holding SOL for more than a year now and may be I will hold it longer but if these downfalls keep occurring I might have to reconsider holding SOL.
ETH is definitely a good option no doubt in that but it's good to have a diversified portfolio which was the reason of me buying SOL.
I am not really sure which other options to consider for a long term other than BTC and ETH.
All seems hyped up in a short term.
2288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a Partway to Becoming Self-Reliance. on: May 02, 2022, 04:20:34 PM
Bitcoin is definitely one way to be free from the control of the government and be able to spend it however you want and whenever you want without worrying about anything.
But it still doesn't mean you are completely free because the government is watching you and many times having a control on you.
You just don't know how but the government can literally own you if they want to because we all have fallen into their trap.
Earning an income from the jobs created by the government and being controlled by third parties and then have to give a cut of your income to the government as tax.
Doesn't all of this sound like you are not living a free life at all.
2289  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: May 02, 2022, 03:50:25 PM
OP is right that the government hasn't taken the right approach to implement bitcoin as a payment method in El Salvador.
Directing users to Chivo wallet is the last thing that the government should have done.
Bitcoin is decentralized and so the government should have not promoted a single wallet.
The reason why many people were against bitcoin may be because most of them lost money in phishing and scams.
They should have made every citizen learn more about bitcoin by conducting events, lectures, workshops etc...
This way many citizens would be able to secure their money from these scams and may be this would have increased bitcoin adoption in El Salvador.
2290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: May 01, 2022, 04:56:34 PM
First of all, wanna say hi to everybody.
I searching on the internet in the last 2 week 24/4 about crypto currency and how to multiply your money. I read article’s about people how can get rich, people who can get brokes and a lot of things about that, and to be honest, if it was possible to become rich after night, all people in the world will do that, so basically in my opinion it is lucky, or tips from billionaires who own some crypto etc.

I came there to get some advice from people who really know what crypto it is and how it works.
In the last months, I open an Coinbase account, and I saw that, the application pay me like 20 euro ( free coins) for opening an account. It was so nice. After like 1 month, the app do not give any free cryptocurrency.
My question for you guys it is, beside Coinbase, it is any other application like that, like give you free stuff or something ?

Ps, I think about what you think, a poor guy came there and try to get stuff free, go to work buddy. Ok, it is true, I searching for something free because I have a bad financial status,I was working as an mechanic and I was fire because service closed, and I searching for everything can came. I have 1 baby and I need to put food on the table when I get home Smiley so please, all hate stuff it is not accepted.

Thank you for your time guys, and I’m waiting your reply.
Dan,

It's quite hard to live a life like that but I am so sorry to say that if you have such conditions then investing in crypto is not really the way for you my friend.
You have to serve the basic needs of your family first and then think about investing.
One can only invest when he has some spare money lying around and then use it to make more money.
If you don't have any money or have very little of it then investing shouldn't be your priority.
Serve the needs of your family and get a stable job first. Try to save some money from it and then may be reconsider investing in crypto.
2291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: May 01, 2022, 04:48:12 PM
Thank you all for you clear and insight on this subject matter I now know for the fact that investing is less risky compared to trading as the cryptocurrency market is always volatile but the fact that I lose in some cases does not make me a total failure in trading and haven't lose in some trades and also gain in some other make me realize that skills is the most essential and an integral aspect of cryptocurrency trading.

Of course you need the trading skills and without that you will probably lose all your money.
The fact that you are making money or not doesn't matter when you have just started to trade.
You need at least 1-2 years of trading knowledge to get started with trading with serious money.
The knowledge of trading in different trends is definitely required to get a good handson on trading before we go all in.
2292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: System for trading on: May 01, 2022, 04:32:51 PM
OP has written so much yet his post means so less. OP just says that he has identified a way to "semi automatically" trade with 70% accuracy.
Also, there are no mentions of how he does it exactly and no proofs of the same. We need at least something to keep an interest in this thread.
Otherwise OP is not gonna get a good response out of this thread.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is accused of providing users data to Russia on: May 01, 2022, 03:29:17 PM
Reuters has published an investigation where they claim that Binance worked tightly with Russian government, including helping them track donations to opposition politicians

Binance made a statement where they denied all allegations

When you are using a centralized exchange, you are trading your privacy for convenience. Assume that everything that you share with them - your ID, your address, your photo, all your transactions and trading data, will be shared with third parties. It can be your own government, foreign government, private companies and so on. And you never know what consequences it can have, maybe someone will decide to "cancel" or prosecute you over a transaction you did 10 years ago?

The moment when we turn on the internet our privacy is getting compromised here and there.
There are logs stored for everything on the internet and with just few clicks the expert minds can invade our privacy.
It's as simple as that. When we register ourselves on such centralized exchanges everything is getting stored on their servers.
This includes our IP address, browser information, OS information, cookies, cache etc... This is when the user hasn't even done the KYC yet.
So much of useful information already. It can be used to easily manipulate and gain control at some level in our devices.
We can't even imagine what they can do when they have all our info from KYC we do.
Nobody can be trusted on the internet and this includes centralized exchanges like Binance too.
So I wouldn't be shocked if they sell our data to Russia or some random 3rd party. We have to deal with it.
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Crypto to the wrong address on: May 01, 2022, 03:11:14 PM
Did it happen to you?

No, it has never happened to me that I sent my BTC to a wrong address. I check thrice before sending my precious coins to other addresses.

Quote
How comfortable are you every time you transfer to a remote address?

I am pretty much comfortable with the traditional way of transferring coins to an address.

Quote
Would you be more comfortable using a helper?

I wouldn't like to compromise my addresses just because I am lazy and careless to check the addresses before sending coins to it.

Quote
What do you use today to mitigate this risk?

I use a standard non-custodial wallet and paste the address into it and then send coins to that address.
I wonder why people make such silly mistakes of sending coins to wrong address.
Either people are lazy or dumb enough to check the addresses they send their coins to.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 01, 2022, 03:04:59 PM
I was spending some time with my friends parents and there was not only a huge party but all of them placed p2p bets on the horse racing. They asked me to come over as well, the ending was deeply sad and essential to cover : The horse died after winning of a heart attack.

The horse was presenting signs of heart attack on the camera but no one was actually even giving it a second thought and at the end when it was the last lap, all the horses got whipped excessively hard as well. That gets me to my point "why do you support horse racing?" This is honestly far to cruel to continue.

According the this site: https://www.horsedeathwatch.com/background.php they have seen more than 2000 deaths in around 5500 days. Most of the horses die during the match as well, they also have instances where they are exploited using drugs (doping).

Are you aware that most of the horses go through slaughter as well? Some of them have very bad injuries making them not even the least bit useful for the business therefore they are killed without second thought. I do hope people would get more aware and try and steer away from *horse racing*.

I know that's sad but at the same time it's happening from so many years already.
Even though so many animals die because of such cruelty on them they still conduct these events/bettings/fetivals etc...
It's hard to accept the fact that humans have this mindset right from the beginning to care less about animals.
But still there are people who are kind enough to help the poor animals and save them from such cruel actions on them.
To answer your question I think that horse racing should be regulated so that fewer animals die because of it.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: May 01, 2022, 02:45:58 PM
^

You have a good approach to gambling. I also mostly play slots but sometimes try my luck in games that require skills such as poker but no matter how hard I try I almost always leave the table without my money. I have learned not to get upset about it because I understand that against me can play as bots and professional players. I treat the money I deposit as a ticket for admission to the game.

And that is how it should be at first place because the moment when a gambler tries to recover the losses it's their end game.
He will keep chasing the losses and will eventually lose all his money. This happens with the most of us.
Ofcourse there are times when some gamblers do win and take some money home but at the end of the day we keep losing it.
2297  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: April 30, 2022, 02:37:16 PM

At least they know that there must be two possibilities behind the risk, namely success or failure. If they succeed, that is a good result for them, but if they fail, they need to think of other ways that might succeed. But most casino sites that promote on this forum have managed to get a lot of new members but they also use other promotional media such as social media. So the results they get can be greater.

That is true. Many gambling sites use this forum as a way of advertising their site and get many number of users registered on the site.
Most of the users look for special bonus and promotional offers as it attracts them a lot and hence gambling sites use it as a leverage.
Also, many gambling sites have their own threads where users keep discussing about the site and other users use these reviews to register on the site as well.
There are also campaigns and competitions being conducted on this forum which attracts many users.
There are basically many ways in which a gambling site can use this forum to advertise their casinos.
2298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: April 29, 2022, 06:41:25 AM
Trading look like a hard to understand game and for any new person in trading making profits is always hard that is why am here to ask how can a newbie make profit trading coins and what manual can be followed.

Common sense - Every professional trader was once a newbie in trading.
So it automatically answers your question that yes a newbie can make enough money in trading provided he is doing the right things.
It takes time and patience to make money and you must put in a lot of efforts to learn how to trade.
Utilise your time properly and learn a lot about trading and practice it a lot.
Only practice will groom your skills and eliminate your mistakes in the long run.
2299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 29, 2022, 06:27:53 AM
One might already understand that winning at Gambling is hard but at the end of the day we still see a lot of people increasingly interested in Gambling, this might provide an insight into the casino business and at the same time help explore the ideas 💡 in the mind of a Gambler.

One might be aware of the fact that even though the Gambler knows that he is loosing money they measure the gambling to be an effective usage of that money, a leisure activity to begin with therefore it's more concerned with the activity-than winning an idea that some problem gamblers ignore.

Source :here

In roulette type games more than 95% of the amount is usually back to the player but when we talk about lotteries it goes way below 50% which is explained by the lower levels of winners and winning as a whole despite that lottery is some of the biggest revenue collector for the government. The players usually focuses not on winning big, but most of the time the short increase of dopamine makes their money worth it ( ofc if used in moderation)

What do you think is the best game/ sports to gamble on ? Do you do it for winning? Are the ideas in the article according to you correct? How many times you usually win in a game of chance+skills?

I never bothered to play skill based games like poker etc... because I like the luck based games more.
I personally gamble just for fun while I know that the amount I am using to gamble with is eventually going to be lost in all the games I play.
But at the same time I make sure I am limiting my losses by assigning a fixed budget to gamble with and to play more games I keep the bet amount really small.
It doesn't make a difference for me because at the end it gives me same adrenaline rush for the small bets.

Speaking of all the fun things with FUN, seems like I just reached the 180day locking period as my WoF spins just increased by 1 (hooray!).

That's good news for me on 2 levels. Obviously, getting an additional free spin for the next 180 days is awesome (and the cashback and the interest). Secondly, I'm halfway through a one year lock, and can look forward to 25% more FUN back in there. Good times.

Congrats with the achievement, also reached the same milestone a bit ago! Especially the extra interest makes it interesting. Currently I am getting 93 satoshis/day extra because of my premium membership and it all adds up nicely!

Thats amazing. Even I am past half of the way with just 5 months left for the maturity of my 360 days lock in period.
Along with that, my WoF spin is going to increase by 1 in the next 4 days. I'll be getting 4 WoF spins every day after that.
So in a month I can accumulate around 120 WoF spins which is not much but still worth a shot to receive some nice rewards out of it.
