22921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the longest you have waited for one confirmation?? on: February 17, 2015, 10:25:49 AM
it was always less than an hour for me to get confirmation. but as far as records go, i have a record of an "80 minutes" confirmation on a 0 fee transaction Cheesy
22922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Friendly Reminder Bitcoin Is Not Anonymous on: February 17, 2015, 10:23:54 AM
I’m worried about some of you. Some of you who may be operating under the assumption that Bitcoin is anonymous. It is not. - See more at: http://bitcoinfaucetrelay.com/a-friendly-reminder-bitcoin-is-not-anonymous/#sthash.ZvEZHZ5D.dpuf
this only concerns shady people who are doing illegal stuff with bitcoin not the general users, and they know how to become anonymous! so no need for the article there either Cheesy
22923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now has a proven track record for creating jobs. on: February 17, 2015, 10:16:18 AM
according to the article:
"Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies created an estimated 250,000 jobs during 2014"
i agree but 249,000 of these jobs are in "other cryptocurrencies" i mean the creating and pumping of shitcoins Cheesy
22924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Fiat users are Mentally Ill ? on: February 17, 2015, 10:13:31 AM
most people who use Fiat don't see technological innovations moving at speed into their lives very much, id have a guess at about 99% possibly higher

it always takes time from a innovation till entering people's lives or in other words mass acceptance and usage. it is always been like this and always will be
22925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if most of the hacking of exchanges is the government? on: February 17, 2015, 10:08:45 AM

22926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin To Pay Your Park Fines on: February 16, 2015, 12:33:21 PM
New York is at it again. Now, a member of the government is suggesting to make bitcoin a 'penalty money'.

http://bitforum.info/t/use-your-bitcoin-in-new-york-to-pay-for-parking-fines/275?u=angelo

I think it would be wise if Bitcoin can be used that way.

Imagine using bitcoin for government fines and etc.

What do you think?

if this happens it means that government accepts it as a legit currency which leads to more adoption, but honestly it seems a little bit too good to be true!
22927  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Microwallet Api Help Needed on: February 15, 2015, 05:50:01 PM
Hello i opened up my own faucet and have big rewards to give away, but microfaucet is taking years to approve my api access.

Does anyone have a microwallet api account they dont use i can have Smiley

my site: bitcoinlake.com
switch to faucetbox.com
microwallet has long delays for payments to users which is extremely annoying!
22928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Time Travel Kill Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2015, 05:31:34 PM
first of all if i could go back in time i had more important stuff to do rather than buying bitcoin Cheesy

but to answer your question
it depends on if timetravel is something accessible to most people or just me! because if it is accessible to everyone then the first one who mines/ buys bitcoin at 0.01$ will get the profit because the price will skyrocket automatically!
22929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Core Total Size? on: February 15, 2015, 05:13:42 PM
What is the total size of BTC core, because its very slow to download
while it is 31 GB right now you have to keep in mind that the blockchain size will grow over time, soon we are looking at 40 GB and more.
if you have a problem with this size like me, you can choose a lightweight wallet like Electrum or multibit

This.

From https://btc.blockr.io/charts, the blockchain size is growing at roughly 56MB a day (~140 blocks a day * ~400KB average block size), so you should prepare to see the size go up 20 GB a year.
The space should be reduced once blockchain pruning is implemented. With data storage technologies being advanced at a fast rate, HDD are relatively cheap now, it is possible to get 1TB HDD at less than $100.
it doesn't matter the cost of Hard disk, i currently own a 1TB HDD, but i do not want to waste 30 GB (and growing) of my space on blockchain while i can use a smaller sized wallet, i mean light wallets, or even better a paper wallet

22931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTER offers $180,000 reward for returning stolen bitcoins! on: February 15, 2015, 03:50:31 PM
no one, no robber will give 1.7 million dollars back for a 180K dollar reward!! that is so stupid
and also i find it extremely suspicious that this muck BTC was "stolen" from "cold wallet"
22932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will An Altcoin Ever Surpass the Value of Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2015, 03:46:55 PM
in my opinion, there is no altcoin that is nearly close to bitcoin. neither in price nor in acceptance and there will be no altcoin that can catch bitcoin at least for a couple of years
22933  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: CoinLearn.org : Newbie Learning + Hourly Earning on: February 14, 2015, 03:32:22 PM
Seems like a good idea. But how come I cannot open the website... Is it down?
looks like it is up and running right now:
"Coinlearn.org is UP and reachable.
The website is probably down just for you..."
you can always check websites here for being down or not:

22934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Send Bitcoin With Private Key on: February 14, 2015, 03:29:57 PM
in every one of the wallets so far as i know you can import the private keys to be able to send the coins, if you want something for special needs i am afraid you have to change the open source app yourself.
22935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me understand - Who uses Faucets? , and why? on: February 14, 2015, 03:27:32 PM
Many people on my country have many alt accounts on a faucet, about 20-200 each person. They make a script/macro, then they earn from it massively.
i don't think it is possible, or at least not possible with those numbers (20-200 accounts) because faucets will not pay the same IP in one time period and also i doubt if someone can change IP 200 times!
22936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: February 14, 2015, 03:22:19 PM
looking for free alt coin

and sell on high rate price
Some of that alt coin don't have any exchanger, so bad Sad
most of the altcoins either are available on an exchanger or will be soon, don't forget the sole(?!) purpose of the altcoin which is pump and dump XD
22937  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: February 14, 2015, 03:18:06 PM
i think it can be worth it if you play for fun and do some gambling and have fun. besides the earnings from there can be spent for transaction fees!
22938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to invest on: February 14, 2015, 03:16:22 PM

If you want some free help about how to run your own bitcoin faucet websites and earn profit from the ad revenue streams just contact me on Skype: karl.moneyinpjs

I offer 100% free help to get you going in the right direction.

how much start-up capital to make bitcoin faucet?
I guess 0.3 should be enough for the funds ONLY. The hosting would be cheap depending on which hosting you want to use. Provided that your faucet will become very popular, you will be able to earn the amount invested. If it isn't, then you probably would lose your investment.

hmmm 0.3? does not matter if the result will be more than that in one month Smiley

I only profit from an ad?
well it is the matter of IF you profit, and yes the only income would be from ad(s)
but you can not expect getting advertisement from anywhere until you get good traffic

sadly bitcoin mining with CPU/GPU days are over. i think the most profitable option for you is going to be mining altcoins. you can calculate your hashrate and income then decide if it is worth it or not
