Mine will arrive in 2 days.
I will post in this review and do a you-tube video of it

Would a single EVGA Supernova 1600 G2 have enough connectors for six Vega 56's (with 8+6 PCIe connectors), as well as the 3 sata and 3 molex connectors on the Onda D1800? I'm struggling to understand the specs of the PSU. And buying additional splitters and cables gets quite annoying when those brands prevent you from using third party cables...
no you would be short 1 molex it has 2 molex cables you need 3 it has 4 sata cables you need 3 it has 4x 2 headed pcie 8+6 that is 4 1080ti's it has 5x 1 headed pcie 8 pin that is 2 1080 ti's so you have 1 extra pcie 8 pin it has 2 cpu you need 1 so you have 1 extraand the 1x 24 pin I may have a molex for you.

Btw I kept defending them but I'm actually quite fed up with suprnova now. I'm pretty certain they're skimming. ETN is just another example. Calculators estimate 30-40% more than what I effectively made over at Suprnova. Ofc I cannot prove it as long as I don't run rigs in parallel, but I'm just accumulating bad experiences.
You're not alone. I have wondered about that for some time now. I never seem to make as much on that pool as any of the others even though they usually have the highest amount of hashing power on a given coin. I only use them if there is not another pool that run the coins I am interested in. Is there another pool out there where one will be able to mine BTG without a wallet? This is one of the features I actually like about Suprnova. Yup same here I dont want to deal with the wallet madness for at least a week until things calm down I have already got my BTG address using Coinomi wallet - so I will use this to catch the early bird. Once I get the Binance BTG address - I can switch to that address. 3 hours before release and Nicehash equihash hasn't gone up a bit. Looks the demand for hash really isn't picking up. Might have to switch to the main coin after all... Why would it go up before mainnet is released? yeah I have everything on zec/nicehash I will wait till monday before I make any moves. I did very well the last 24 hours moving between btc bcc btg on 2 exchanges

My 3.4 bcc is now worth quite a lot
Earlier this year I had more than 18 BCC. I sold them for a reasonable amount at the time, but now? well... timing is everything. Like if I had held my over 7k LTC mined in 2012. The LTC I sold in 2016 and is funding my crypto forays today, including miners, and other alts. Yeah i sold my 4 BCC for $700 ish though I did well I sold .333 of 3.4 last night should of staged more sales it peaked at 0.385 btc a coin i now have sales in at .333 at .31 btc .333 at .35 btc .333 at .39 btc and I sold 1.00 bcc total for 0.24 btc I missed the biggest price. and 3 buys in at 1.00 for .1202btc 1.00 for .1020btc

Are you planning on running all 12x or just the 8x GPUs on the board? well to use the eight with the four short cards are needed. so I think I will just be using the eight for now.

The receptacle is a NEMA 10-30 3-prong. I know not the voltage, but the electrician should be able to test it. I am having him install a new outlet. My concern is, if the 30AMP circuit currently has high enough voltage, are all PDUs derated to 24AMPs? If so, how would 24 AMPs be enough? Do they make 30AMP rated PDUs? What if I had the electrician install a 40AMP breaker? Would I need a higher AMP PDU? Sorry, but I am new to all of this and don't want to fry my investment, or my house.
stop over thinking. the 30 amp circuit can do 24 amps that is why the pdu's derate to 24 amp to protect the 30 amp circuit breaker and the 30 amp circuit breaker is in there to protect the wire and the outlet. so: A) leave the 30 amp circuit breaker alone B) leave the wire alone C) put in this outlet https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEVITON-2620-LOCKING-RECEPTACLE-GROUNDING-L6-30R-30A-250V-BLACK/311984148433?d) buy this below right now great price buy this pdu https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-HP-228481-006-Modular-PDU-Control-Power-Distribution-Unit-EO4504-240V-16A/201403039766?once you do d let me know d is a great dealthe outlet is cheap 9 bucks I will tell you what psu's etc i need to know you got that pdu.

I recently got a new computer with GTX 1070. I have been tinkering with mining, but have been checking WhatToMine fairly frequently. This is starting to hurt my home life for only about 1.50 USD per day, profit. getting up at 5:30 am to check what I should be mining isn't helping either. Any suggestions on what a more balanced strategy would be? The nagging from my partner is starting to increase... PS: I've already limited my choices between Nicehash, ZCash, Zencash, Hush, and Bitcoinz. But even toggling between these 4 options is taking an inordinate amount of my time. nicehash ---- zcash---convert to btc --- use and exchange like bittrex only look 1 time a week If you can not do this don't mine as you could become a compulsive gambler at this very easily

Pretty simple, don't use it. I personally like the monitoring tools and all he makes so I choose to pay for that service. If you don't there's others have fun.
I stopped using him last feb far too much money in his pocket.

as bcc/bch is better then btc at this moment. Hopefully that is as a last gasp now that the fork got dropped on the floor. Guess we need to wait until after Nov 23 to see if it gets picked up and used again... or becomes relegated to just another sha256 altcoin. well we will have to see. I have 18th doing bcc/bch coin has moved over 1300 usd this is a 11th miner it would earn 11 x 0.00185 = 0.02035 bcc/bch a day or 26.50 usd a day in 70 days = 1855 usd But power is high say 1700 watts at the wall 41 k-watts per day at 15 cents = 6.15 a day x 70 = 430 usd in power so 1855-430 = 1415 to the plus in 70 days. gear cost was 1202 that is an roi under 70 days. I am glad I am all inclusive with every coin until a coin fucks me via developer action. PPC ETH ETC are all on my hit list as developers did moves that were wrong and cost me money. None of them offered to fix the issues so they are on the boycott list. Since there are more then 1200 coins and I do not try to mine all of them I feel pretty good in my method of not damming a coin until the developer does wrong. ( by wrong a change in the rules that cost me money that was not done with fair warning)

back home and on primary account miner is on the way.
I wonder how hot and loud this miner will be?
if you mine bcc/bch instead of btc this miner will roi pretty fast
as bcc/bch is better then btc at this moment.

Right now I am working with only 2 such connectors from my very old power supply.

Just checking, if you use the default pools (the ckminer ones), does the unit mine? I've noticed it's exceptionally sensitive to the pool settings in the URL....
C
You mean this default pool: stratum+tcp://stratum80.kano.is:80?? it didn't mine if that what you meant your miner is not connected . so lets try this. tell me your rasp pi 3 power brick let me have a link.

So far no tracking. So while Haggs got a unit. I do suggest don't buy yet. No tracking for me makes me nervous.
I went off my policy for new companies and it could be a screw up on my part.

I can appreciate the skepticism. Trust does have to be earned. All I can really say on their behalf is that the info they have been providing and level of communication is better than that of other "established" mining companies I have purchased from. For example, I inquire about the ship dates and AMP draw from the miners so I could make sure the breaker I wanted to put them on would handle it. Here is what I got back:
"You will expect to get your VEGA in the 2nd week of January, while the VEGA 2S will be between the 2nd and 3rd week of February.
As for your amp question:
Vega is running at 4.8A at 220 volts. Vega 2S is running at 4.0A at 220 volts.
Machines are intended to be used in domestic 220/240v wall sockets and are fused at 13A. If multiple machines are being used on the same mains circuit it is advised to get an electrician to check the fuse ratings on the power inlet board and make sure the supply can cope. Also, if the machine is to be used at 110v a transformer will be needed to be used inline with the unit(s). Alternatively, another approach (and more efficient) would be to have an electrician run a 220 line to power your miners.
If you have any doubts, its best to seek advice from an electrician. If you have any other questions, please let me know."
It's details like that that build trust for me. In response to this I asked them for some "real life" photos of units, so if I get any I'll post em.
But for now, reserve your trust.

if BTG takes off solid we could see a boost on nvidia card prices.
Simple logic dictates it.
I will be making a move to get the Zotac 1070ti MINI (110watts, 200core, 700mem, 500sols, DSTM miner) before prices go crazy. I ordered 4 evga 1070 ti hybrid I noticed that you have a lot of watercooled GPU's is there any reason for this other than noise? I am going to be getting to the point of not being able to have any more fan based GPU's due to the noise of them (garage is under the bedroom) They are quiet, Stable hash well. They are free heat for the next 4 months. So quiet helps

|
|
Yeah I got lots of them.
I have to find the one in the garage.
0 to 130 volts. Set it at 90 or 100 volts

put a variac on the fan power lead to limit the voltage to the unit; you can use the variac as a psuedo speed controller. Maybe you can find a setting that's the right amount of flow for 100% on-time to limit starts and stops.
More fans specifically just circulating air into or out of the hotspots of the room will help keep it all equal as well
Yeah I though about that , that i think is the best solution, I fan speed control unit laying , only problem with that is I have to cut and re-wire the box again and I dont want to do that again , its a pain messing with that tiny box. Do you have a link to a cheap Variac unit that I could use that allows for up to 10A , 120V continuous ? Alot of the ones are only meant to be run for 2 hrs Pm me I have at least two in the house, Used but very good quality

I would love two things the review from Haggs and DHL tracking number for my unit

without a photo of your gui it is hard to know if the gear has issues or if the why you filled in the pools has an issue.
