2301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 01:26:17 AM
As I am writing this, Bitcoin dropped 6.5k this past week. The reason why because of the tensions between Russia and Ukraine. If this didn't happen, the price of Bitcoin would've been at around 46k or a bit more. I'd didn't see this coming and we are still sitting between 45k-30k. So the Bull and the Bear is kind of in a duel right now and the Bull is losing control a bit.
I don't think the situation around Ukraine and Russia could have affected the bitcoin price. I don't see any correlation. If the national currencies of those countries or the stock prices of big companies were affected by the conflict, the cryptocurrency could not be affected.

Admit it or not, the price has been fluctuating because of this news, from lows of $35k to as high as $38k. Now we are somewhat in the middle again at $36k.

Remember though, every financial market is somewhat connected, inversely or contrary. But the good thing about crypto market though, this kind of news and its effect are not going to last long. Sooner we will see maybe another attempt to try and break $40k again.
2302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 23, 2022, 05:10:22 AM
Coinmarketcap reports that today the 10 largest market cap crypto assets have started moving back into the green in the last 24 hours.
And this morning the most shining altcoin was Terra (LUNA) which passed 8.2% at $55.3 dollars.
Then Solana (SOL) also rose to the level of 87.32 US dollars or rose 3.5%, and Binance Exchange (BNB) which rose 3.4% to $373.4.
Likewise, the price of bitcoin is now in the position of $38,184, up 2.4% compared to the previous day.
And there are several other altcoins such as Cardano (ADA), ETH, DOT, and Dogecoin which rose 1.06% to $0.13 dollars.

Hopefully there will be more progress for all crypto prices.

Well the prices has been dumping for the last couple of days and it's just about time that we are seeing some good greens in the last 24 hours.

But, I wouldn't be confident though, still we are in a precarious situation because there are a lot of things that is going around the world that affects the market. So we might see some drops again if the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 23, 2022, 04:27:22 AM
In the latest news that I read:

Casimero Accused of Acts Of Lasciviousness In Philippines; Team Dismisses Claims As "Fabricated"

Quote
An official complaint was filed on February 11 against the three-division and reigning WBO bantamweight titlist from Ormoc City, Philippines, who is accused of Acts of Lasciviousness and of being in violation of Republic Act 7610—Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The complaint and pending investigation alleged that Casimero made inappropriate contact with a minor last June in Taguig City.

Violation of RA 7610 is punishable by imprisonment of no less than three months but no more than three years. Similarly, a suspect found guilty of Act of Lasciviousness is punishable by imprisonment of six months to six years.

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-accused-acts-lasciviousness-philippines-team-dismisses-claims-fabricated--164303

So another distraction for Casimero, will give him the benefit of the doubt. Makes me wonder why it was just filed this month? Or maybe some entity is behind to destroy John Riel emotionally and financially? Your guess is as good as mine.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 23, 2022, 03:38:41 AM
I’m glad to see that DeMarcus Cousins is getting a contract with the Denver Nuggets for the rest of the season. Sacramento did him dirty and it’s been nothing but injuries and missed opportunities since then. It appears he’s finally gotten himself into a position where he can rebuild his game and show the league what he is capable of. He may never put up the monster numbers he did in Sacramento ever again, but he’s certainly got a couple years left where he could be a menace off the bench for a contender.

The dude was a monster back then and he can still be a good asset for the Denver Nuggets especially to preserve Jokic's health and to give him more rest. We will see how effective he is with the team after the All-star game where the teams double their effort to preserve their spot in the playoff or to catch up and snatch it from others. Denver Nuggets' last game is a crucial win and Cousins has just shown them how he can handle situations like that even you gonna play against a top contender team, you're not gonna play soft.

Last year, we've seen a lot of team turning around after the all star break, like New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards.

So we might want to watch out the Nuggets with the addition of Cousins to be the back up of Jokic. I'm seeing that there could be games that he can score 15-20 points and grab 10 rebounds. And he could be a perfect fit for the Denver team.
2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador positions itself as the first Bitcoin city at Expo2020 in Dubai on: February 23, 2022, 03:14:32 AM

Nayib Bukele, El Salvador’s Bitcoin-loving president has announced plans to offer citizenship to foreign investors. This move could invite more investment projects like this series of reforms is a step closer to strengthening and reinforcing the country’s economy. Bukele announced this news through Twitter on Sunday, his tweet stated:

I’m sending 52 legal reforms to congress, to remove red tape, reduce bureaucracy, create tax incentives, citizenship in exchange for investments, new securities laws, stability contracts, etc. The plan is simple: as the world falls into tyranny, we’ll create a haven for freedom.

El Salvador Proposes Offering Citizenship To Foreign Investors

The latest news from El Salvador have rolled out. In this announcement it was said about the plans of providing citizenship to foreign investors. In the news it isn't mentioned specific about the cryptocurrency investors. Finally said El Salvador as the "land of bitcoin freedom" which prioritise the cryptocurrency investors.

Other countries following El Salvador the are Turkey, Malta, and few countries from Caribbean.

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele also planned to launch $1 billion in Bitcoin Bonds by the falling month. Through these funds it is aimed to finance the creation of the “Bitcoin City"

They are indeed trying to attract investors, or potential crypto projects in their country and become the new hub. If I'm not mistaken, there are countries as well who are providing this kind of incentives to foreigners.

Nevertheless, since El Salvador is in the limelight as of late, then they will might be promoting their country with this kind of marketing. And it's interesting if they are going to have foreign investors in their doorsteps in the next couple of months.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 22, 2022, 01:17:49 AM
~ Who would've thought this is where Steph will break his drought from shooting threes. He had bad stats most of his previous games in 3 point shots but today we saw something different. Maybe, he just forgot to have fun playing his favorite game. He was too stressed out about the record that must be broken and it continues.
In case you missed the possible inspiration of his performance, he doesn't want to be embarassed and disappoint the people in the charity Grin He was raising money for a charity in Cleveland. Apparently he's going to give them money for the equivalent of points/shots he'll make in the all-star game.
  • $1,000 for every point scored
  • $3,000 for every 3-pointer
  • $10,000 if he won All-Star Game MVP.
All in all, that's equivalent to a $108,000.

I guess everyone needs that extra motivation.

Correct, and based on the comments, this motivation makes the game fun for Steph and us fans seeing an insane shooting night for him.

So it's not boring to me, and if I'm not mistaken, all players have their time in the game but obviously there are those that have been voted the most and the stars amongst the starts. So no complain about the distribution of time. What's important is that the fans come to see a good and entertaining game.
2307  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: February 20, 2022, 12:23:11 AM
We have heard all the news about countries deciding to make bitcoin as legal, the latest being Russia and Ukraine as they both are also in some political problem. Obviously with this new statement that has been made on bitcoin status in those countries, it could be regulated by the government.
What is your expectation of bitcoin ?

For me its better not to expect something if we hear this kind of news. For example, when El Salvador broke the news months ago it didn't put a dent on the market. And even if these two countries legalise bitcoin, they are going at war which each other which balances this positive news. Regulations has been at our shoulder ever since we have our bull run in 2017. So don't be surprised if we will hear future amendments on crypto regulations globally, not just Russia or in Ukraine.
2308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 19, 2022, 01:17:25 AM
the crypto market is indeed going down and since the beginning of the year it has experienced a fairly deep decline and it's not just crypto that has fallen the stock market has also experienced a decline as well.
so I think the decline in crypto is indeed a normal thing and I think this is the time to buy because I am sure there will be another increase either in the near future or in the long term.

It has fallen before the beginning of the year, and then we have a minor recovery at the start of February. But then again, the market is so volatile that in just a week the price started to decline again and that we gain in the recovery phase will be slash again. We have to understand though where the market is coming from, I mean with the war and other negative news, it is bound to decline at some point.
2309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 19, 2022, 12:14:50 AM
I hope what we predict can come true. But despite all that, we also need to prepare ourselves in case the price of bitcoin turns out to fall again and drops to the $40k level because no one knows if it will happen again or not.

But given the current situation, it looks like bitcoin can still hold on, and maybe after this or next week, there are signs that bitcoin will be preparing to go higher. If that happens, you need to have your bitcoins ready for you to sell at your desired price and never be too late to make a profit.
Unfortunately it seems that we are very close to fall below the 40k level again, the price is barely above it and I do not think it is going to resist much as even if the bulls are giving a fierce battle the bears seem to be in control of the situation, I hope this does not happen as this could create once again some FUD among traders and investors and we could see an even bigger decrease in the price than the one that we saw yesterday.

We already did, last time I checked the price is $39,990 so the $40k was not defended in the last 4 hours. But hopefully we can still push above it and bring it back to $40k this weekend. As others said, this is a critical level and we don't want to see the price going down because it will follow by a huge sell-off again. So it will be panic once again and we don't know what price it will settle. Lowest low is $32k-$33k last month so we might be looking at it again.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 18, 2022, 11:46:28 PM
^Cheers Dave. You got it both right.
In my case, not perfect but a satisfying one as I added a parlay for both Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo to achieve a double-double.
I wanted to add Embiid to the line but Stake.com doesn't allow the same game multi-bet just yet. Maybe in the future, they will also bring one like a betbuilder in sportsbet.
All-Star guys! Lines are already open so you might want to analyze it now.  Wink
Jalen Green - Slam Dunk fave.
Fred Vanvleet and Patty Mills - 3 point contest faves.
Giannis - All-Star MVP fave.

Thanks mate, you too, congrats on your winning. At least we end the first half of the regular season with a good win.

Lots of good entry for the slam dunk contest, but I agree with your picks, Jalen Green and Cole Anthony.

If I'm not mistaken, Mills is on the top of the 3 as far as percentage so definitely he will also be the favorite to win. Maybe my dark horse is Luke Kennard.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 03:22:16 AM
Double overtime win by the Heat against New Orleans. Pelicans took the majority of the lead, but Heat has the experience and did made a huge comeback. I only seen the OT, but there are controversies regarding PJ Tucket's 3 shoot? (somebody correct me if I'm wrong).

Lowry and Butler's experience really show in this game and Tucker also contributed as well.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Shiba Inu community is enraged by Microsoft's recent tweet on: February 18, 2022, 02:33:05 AM
Isn't just me who thinks that it has nothing to do with Shiba or anything related to crypto with the dog team token?

Perhaps the shiba community take the tweet out of context? Doesn't make sense for Microsoft to join the bandwagon, maybe they are into crypto, but I doubt that it will be on meme coins. So I would say it might created some hype  for shiba but it don't bring anything in the table for Microsoft.
2313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 18, 2022, 01:43:55 AM
Its just failing the weekly average, pushed back to monthly average and below the 50 day average which is probably most important measure of the three for momentum in BTC price action.

And as we loses this averages, we might see the price losing it's support as well.

But it's good to see that the bull are fighting it out above $40k line, as we all know this is very important line of support. Losing this will obviously means that the price will go sub $40k again and we don't want that to happen because it will cause another panic in the market.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 18, 2022, 01:10:27 AM
Dallas vs NOP - I have Dallas here -2.5.  I think they can easily cover the spread, but it will be very close game in my opinion. But Dallas will probably put some separation down the stretch.

I go with the Wizards +3.5 with the Nets, the first quarter has just ended so this is a live betting for me.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 18, 2022, 12:41:54 AM
I also have no doubt that Ryan Garcia will once again prevail over his opponent this time. I don't even understand that of all the possible opponents of Garcia, Tagoe was chosen. Tagoe seems not experienced or tested enough to finally face the rising star. He will probably be schooled in this fight before getting knocked out.

To those who hope for an upset, Tagoe at 6.60 is really attractive odds. To those who are sticking with the favorite, betting on specific KO round for Garcia will most probably be the choice.

With the new additional trainer Hall of Fame trainer Joe Goossen for Ryan Garcia camp plus the overwhelming advantage on skills, That 6.60 is a sure trap odds for gambler that expecting an upset fight. Ryan Garcia has a lot of time to train plus the fact that he pick the most unexpected contender for his too long delayed order match. I believe this match is just a preparation for his upcoming match with Gervonta Davis probably on the final quarter of this year. The odds is very one-sided so I will not risk money on this match and just watch it in my couch.

I can't believed that Garcia has choosen Joe Goosen as his trainer for this fight. I mean he has been with Eddy Reynoso, the trainer of Canelo Alvarez and it seems he is doing good for Ryan and Alvarez and Garcia is very close.

That's why I was surprised to see Canelo criticizing Garcia at one point. Maybe he already severed his tie with Reynoso or if this is just a one time trainer with Goosen.

He used to train with Goosen before, and then he switch to Reynoso, and now he seems to be going back to Goosen again for this fight. This could be just a one time fight for him to go under the wings of Goosen. Or if the result is positive then Ryan might stay with his trainer for good.

Quote
“I know everyone involved with Ryan and have great relationships with all of them, including his mom Lisa and dad Henry. We have a past, and it’s a friendly one. Ryan has spent time at my Ten Goose Boxing Gym as an amateur. We know each other on a boxing level as well as a personal level,” explained Goossen.

“Only they can tell you what led to the decision [to move on from Reynoso]. I would only speculate. How they were led to it, I could only imagine, and I don’t want to do that. They are in control of their own careers and lives. But however they came about the decision, I am quite happy with it.”

2316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 17, 2022, 04:19:56 AM
The growth is real, and if has happened without any form of manipulation. Price of bitcoin after reaching $43k took long time to cross $44k. Now it wasn't able to break $45k and as a result once again it has slipped down to $44k. There is more speculation on price reaching $50k, but as of now I don't think market is highly supportive. Maybe some positive news or a big adoption news from corporate will cause a upward move.

It's because the price is really that low in the past, remember the $33k lowest low? It's the price that mostly investors got, and then we have the support at $40k which is good to enter the picture as well.

That's why the price is on steady growth and yeah it's real for now. And even if there is such negative news around, the price is steady and we could really reach $50k before the end of February.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the secret sauce for a good memecoin? on: February 17, 2022, 03:45:05 AM
I'm currently involved in small memecoin project which fairlaunched on the FTM network and we are currently struggling to get good growth. We have around 350 holders and a few reliable meme makers doing their thing on twitter slowly pushing up our follower base. We've got a modest marketing budget but don't want to blow it all at once.

I'm interested in getting tips and advice on what worked best for some of the more experienced members here.  We have thought about Giveaways, Youtube videos, reddit crypto moonshots posts etc..but not sure which to focus on. Any advice appreciated!

4Chan will also be a good social media platform to show your projects. If I'm not mistaken that is the platform which usually started all the meme coin trend.

How about your website though? it could be also attracted so that many are going to invest because of your good UI. You don't need to focus on just one, as the saying good, the more the merrier. So get the word out there using as many social media platform as you can.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 17, 2022, 03:21:24 AM
What a huge comeback by the Brooklyn Nets, down 28 points against the Knicks, they outscored them in the last 2 quarters, specially in the 4th, 38-19 to win the game against their rivals.

The Lakers vs Utah Jazz had just started with the Lakers taking an early lead 8-0. Jazz has to call a timeout.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 17, 2022, 03:00:38 AM
^ If Casimero is being handled by the (in)famous Heredia then definitely he is handled by a well influenced promoter now.

And now that he is in the States, it will be hard core training moving forward, we might see a different version of Casimero. With more power, so I'm looking for him to score a knockout.
2320  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 17, 2022, 02:38:19 AM
The market that has been moving within $42000 and $44000 have crossed $44000 today. In recent days the war between Russia and Ukraine is said as a big reason for the entire World market to face a downward movement. However there are rumours that Russian soldiers are returning back to their base and the chance of war is declining. This has triggered the market upwards. Maybe this can take a momentum and could lead to $50k+
I also heard that now there will be no war and now people are thinking that stock market will recover and with the stock market all of the coins will also recover which is a very good opportunity for us because this time the price is going very well and in this time we all want that the world condition remain peaceful and we want that all of the countries from the whole world work together for their economic conditions to make them stronger.

If stock market are going to recover, bitcoin might make a run to $50k, simply because I believed that the two markets are correlated somewhat. So a green candle for stocks will result in a green candle as well for the crypto market. And with that, we can easily see $50k being reach next month if everything settles down (war is not going to happen).
