What's the actual process of applying a coupon to an order? I have four available to me, but I don't ever remember seeing anywhere to enter coupon details at check out.
When you get to checkout you are offered a coupon there - be aware to change the quantity of coupons to match the number of units you are buying - the default is only to apply one coupon. So if you buy three then change the number of applied coupons to three etc... Great! Thanks for the info. Of course my coupons arrived after I just bought another, so I have to debate when I want to get the next one.  I don't think I can get one before the next difficulty change though, so I'll wait until the price drops a little further. Maybe. You want to get really cheap? Stop buying. Well they have to be getting close to the lowest they can go. what do you think it cost to ship one to the usa? I just paid .554 btc after a coupon . in fiat that was 244 usd. It has to cost them at least 34 usd . Labor packing box handling so they net 200. One could argue that this is a very big push against big gear miners. Most any home owner can have 2 of these. Or 400 gh maxed. at 800 watts. if you down volt and down clock you can do 4 at 140Gh each maybe 700-800 watts. they are still decent gear if you can find ways to get past the power. no current item does 2x efficient. the spoon doodle s10 is .7 watts per 1 gh this is 1.25 watts per gh the best in the future is the spoon doodle sp30 maybe .4 or .5 watt per gh the long wait for it will mean the extra efficiency is not much. I wonder how this all plays out if btc slowly sinks to 350 usd and diff goes to 30bill Dont forget they still mining with that gear. So we not talking about loss of any kind. |

I just recieved one Ant S1, also a used unit... Multiple coolingfins broken of, wire for wireless antenna ripped of.
Going to test the unit after dinner.
It's the first time I receive a used unit, anybody else who recieved a used unit having any luck getting some kind of compensation?

I should have mentioned that the deal I posted is good for people going the normal PSU route. Of course server psu's can be cheaper. I have been researching them, but there seems to be too many variables to work out, or I'm overcomplicating things. Most every full guide I see shows using a 750w psu. I need my ants running at max gh/s no matter the extra cost of power because my power is cheap. And the 750 won't allow me to run 2 fully oc'd.
You can use IBM 2000w which is cheap again and very easy to use. Its server again psu but than u can run 4 s1 on one psu. |

I think it's perfectly okay for bitmain to mine before selling and shipping. It's not like you paid them money for a preorder and they use your money to build miners, mine on them, then ship it to you months late.
Bitmain is different than other ASIC's companies. They are trying to setup a win-win situation for themselves and customers. Sounds good to me.
No its not and you wrong. As if miner is build and announced for sale it should be new, not used and against their own tos. When i ordered my first s1 i was happy like kid. but when u getting used item which is overclocked where this will void warranty if anything will happen, its not that great anymore. We are in s2 thread, so acctually people paid shit loads of btc for preorder of units like other bfl or knc. Once units was delivered problems started to piled up. Sorry but you wrong. S1 didnt appear from nowhere. They had them long time before they start selling them. s2 as well and probably now they have kit which is more efficient than s1 and s2 Im not saying anything about delivery etc. bitmain is well above any other asics company. But i dont see why they should mine with my miner or miner wich is mining for weeks and then when i will made order they sending me that miner...Just saying. |

Whats the point buying piece of pcb which cost more than psu? I dont get it, check this:  Cables costs: 2gbp psu cost is :12gbp You can plug up to 2 units on one PSU by them cables. All my PSU have mods to slow the fan. As original one are sooo loud. No issues what so ever. |

You know cheapest option is dell 750 2850 poweredge. You can run 2 s1 not oc on this or overclocked and it will cost you no more than 12gbp |

Because it cost $600-700 to ship 2nd day air and there are custom charges too. They dont get charged for customs as far as I know, and shipping a S2 from china doesnt cost nearly that much via UPS. There are heavy customs charges for European customers. You guys dont appreciate the 2nd day shipping service Bitmain provides, it cost almost the same to ship s1 as the actual cost to manufacture, so profit margins are slim. For s2 I dont know the weight, say it is 14kg: An example: ship to US. $584 usd for 8am deliver, for end of day delivery is $494 usd. 2 day shipping. Shipping USPS is cheaper but they dont have 2 day service, only 3-5 day and thats about $210. Going to Europe and England is alot of customs duties. PS. I had a small problem with one of my s1 before but since it still worked 100% I declined to ship it back for service because shipping would have cost a ton (even the slowest way), and I would have lost valuable time mining. Thanks for your post. If all of it is true we have clear proof they using miners for more than just testing to cover costs. And that's why miners are coming dusted, overclocked etc. Sad only that bitmain posing as company who always deliver on time but actually doing same stuff as others. Mining with customers gear and than once they finish with it just passing to them. I do like bitmain and im really pleased with their service but my last order was dissapointing experience. |

I have plenty of recently purchased units from them and they all look new to me. No dust, no overclock but not sure if they are brand new since I doubt they manufacture them anymore. Anyways never had a single problem with any of them and probably the most reliable asic ever built. Bitmain has always shipped fast and kept the price profitable. Also, they still give coupons and just got a .15 one so I have absolutely no complaints. Im not complaining either. Just saying. |

Huge mining farms will be destroyed by the end of the year too. Manufacturers will be mining less and most new equipment will be made in pre order batches. People learned the lesson and preoders are died long time ago. Trust me, no one who have a bit brain will go for overpriced, non existent gear which maybe will be delivered at date given by factory and will give money towards this whole scam call preorders. |

Well most manufacturers made money during the boom.
Just business will slow down to the point if they cant make a profit they wont make and sell it.
And bitmain is selling off everything in s-1 = more money. The are not dumb they will sit back build nothing for a while and see if btc does a fiat jump. I know that any new company that has not made serious coin will be in trouble with a launch since no one is selling an asic that runs 1th at 200-300 watts. Man would they make money selling that if they had it. A 1th miner at 300 watts in stock at 2.5k would sell like a mofo. While they cant make a 1th miner to run at 200-300 watts yet. Im sure they can make a 1th miner at 1000 watts for under 800 usd. True is that hey have probably already miners more efficient than s1 or s2. They mining as much they can and once they become half way obsolete they will sell them for even bigger profit. |
