Neucoin is on my radar - and been going back and forth on it too. The pre-mine has clear purpose. Also - the 5 year HODL restriction should have a positive overall effect. I think it has a shot if new users enjoy experience of quickly and easily learning to pay for content they consume with crypto. My biggest question is - price fluctuation between purchases like for a recurring $1.00 equivalent monthly payment. Though maybe this isn't as big of a deal for micro-payments niche?

Wow, Uno is cheap.
And Bitcoin is cheap....
That gives me an idea.
Yes.

Interesting observing and comparing UNO and CRAVE technical specs, market, and community. Overall, I think the comparison benefits UNO. I don't have any CRAVE, but I did buy some more UNO today.

1 BTC stored for the last year = 1 BTC today. 1 BTC stored for the last year as Unobtanium = 2 BTC today. You can "earn interest" on BTC by storing it as UNO over time. What's not to love?

I have to wait a week at the earliest to buy 10 UNO for the month of April ... but buy, I shall.

What we need is a comunity sponsored bot which buys every minute or every two minutes 0.1 coins ... you'd see it have big impact on the market. Just an idea. Would also neutralize that other bot which keeps dumping dust.
Maybe Quatloo Trader could be used for $UNO market making and support operations? I was thinking about a community experiment along these lines, but haven't had time to try Quatloo yet. I'd like to see a review or some video/screenshots from someone who takes it for a test drive. That would probably be helpful in understanding how to set up an UNO community sponsored trader.

It's 5 months later... which is about 3 years in crypto (according to "dog years" criteria). I have a couple follow-up comments about this topic about long term crypto investments. I actually used some spare BTC to buy AppleByte (ABY) on Bittrex earlier today. Also this topic was started on 16 Oct 2014 - on that day Unobtanium (UNO) was trading around 0.0060 BTC. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next 5-6 months.

Hey does anyone know of a service for privately trading large amounts of cryptocurrencies? For example if the amount in some altcoin was well above the daily volume and you don't want to tank the market and you wanted to just do a wholesale sale of the coins to someone? I'm hoping a service like that exists with the proper escrow abilities in place. Or is there some exchange that allows bulk trades in blocks at a specific price? http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/2rljlh/bulk_wholesale_cryptocurrency_selling/I posted a comment to this query on reddit. I never spent much time on reddit before now - it's been eye opening and I do see opportunities. I think there needs to be an in-house trade walk-through guide created here with just the basic BTC <--> UNO buy/sell. Simple and clear will encourage use and enhance experience. Obviously there is demand for this. I'm sure as time goes on interest will build in more exotic transactions also.

Anyone have experience trading $UNO (or any coin) with Quatloo trader?

My response to this article is from Wikipedia - Leadership - has been described as "a process of social influence in which a person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task". If not me then who? If not now then when? - paraphrasing Hillel the Elder. I think I'm gonna take an extended break from UNO. We have a plenty active community and a currently shitty price. I feel like my recent efforts were largely nullified, now, as UNO has underperformed my expectations.
Everything up until now has been like an overture - people are still finding their seats and getting little snippets of the show that's to come, the curtain hasn't been raised yet.

Any update on Poloniex listing $UNO? Also, any idea when we should look for next $UNO wallet update? I wonder if requesting $UNO be listed on a new exchange should wait until after next update?

How did I miss this today? http://coinfire.io/2015/02/23/ryan-kennedy-of-moolah-arrested/"SYScoin, which suffered massive losses due to the theft of cryptocurrencies from MintPal, provided an update this afternoon about the state of the company. This update also contains relevant information about the entire Mintpal situation." UNO bought and held (against their will) needs to be returned to rightful investors!

Five Reasons Bitcoin Revolution is Over - 2015 will be the year Bitcoin "dies." The bubble is over and the cryptocurrency, while revolutionary, has serious issues which will prevent it from ever becoming widely accepted. Andre Alessandro — The five problems listed here are both structural and external and they will prevent the mass adoption of the cryptocurrency. "It is a third rate payment system, far behind cash, credit cards, and then other forms of money such as gold and silver." "Ultimately, Bitcoin will be relegated to the history books unless structural changes are made." http://sputniknews.com/analysis/20150222/1018609336.htmlI find it interesting that the conclusion of this opinion piece basically makes an argument for altcoins. After all, altcoins are based on Bitcoin (blockchain technology) with structural changes (addressing 1 or more of the 5 problems listed in the article).

With Altmarket coming soon, I don't feel like Uno really needs more markets, unless they can bring something really unique and special to the communit (China would be very special).
Uno still has a lot of unrealized potential at Bleutrade, with their USD and alternate trade pairs.
Quality over quantity. Anyone buy sell or trade $UNO on ebay or craigslist? If so, what was the experience like? Also, is there some sort of best practices for these kind of transactions? I remember trying to buy bitcoin around $5 and $45 - but was befuddled by the too few avenues of getting them back then. It's much easier today. I want folks to be able to get $UNO for under $5 if they desire to.

"Bitcoins most likely will see $120 but only if it passes the $166 resent bottom, but eventually will level off at $400 to $600 for a long while. This will take altcoins to greater highs around 10 to 50x fold." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPOoF5Cf7TYCurrent UNO price ~ 0.02 BTC x 50 = 1 UNO/BTC
