I got a brand new U3 straight from Bitmain over amazon. Have been fiddling with it all night and can't seem to get it recognized by CGminer. I have done all the steps and don't know what else to do? Any ideas would be helpful.
My zadig says the Driver loaded on "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller" is WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385)
I downloaded CGMiner 4.9.0 and made a notepad file with this in it... cgminer.exe -o us1.ghash.io:3333 -u DebitMe.U3 -p 123 and saved it as a .bat file in the cgminer folder.
My Devices and Printers folder shows the unit as "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller"
When I start CGMiner it says "No Devices Detected"
What am I missing? It seems to be recognized by my computer, but just not by CGMiner.

DebitMe has confirmed that he received the miners and that they are hashing away as advertised. Now we are just waiting on escrow to release funds to me.
Happy with my purchase. Miners are running great and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks again for a great transaction!

I see this as a potential problem. No disrespect to you DebitMe, but if the coins do not all come back with the same grade you are going to have some people who make accusations regardless of what precautions you take. I am not aware of any method to identify a particular one of these coins. They do not have a serial number or even a run number.
If anyone can lend claim to them coming back marked somehow that allows me to identify which coins are which line on the submitted sheet, then it should be fine. Of course someone will complain, someone always does, but they can bitch and whine all they want, they will get what they get (assuming a way to identify them is used and I go through with doing this), if someone cannot lend credit or ANACS does not respond and tell me that they are marked on return, then I will not go through with this for that reason. I know people will make accusations regardless, but I really don't care at that point. I am a very high outstanding member here and I doubt the baseless accusations of a single individual will carry much weight. Either way, doesn't matter if I don't get answers to my questions.

Ok, got my reply from ANACS, and they would be happy to grade these coins. There is a 5 coin minimum and I have 3 coins I want graded....so here is my announcement to get your coins graded!
Join my ANACS coin grading run. The costs are very simple and are broken out below... (U.S. Only)
Cost to ship to me - Whatever it costs you Cost to ship back to you - $4 Cost to grade coin - $14 per coin Cost to Ship to Grading Service - $5 per coin Cost to Ship from Grading Service to Me - $5 per coin My fee for time/plastic holder - $3 per coin
Total - $4 + $27 per coin
These seem to be the costs that it will take per coin to get graded, if you are interested please let me know and we can work on getting your coins to me so I can start the run. Please let me know if there are any questions.
Thanks,
DebitMe
I was wondering... how would you distinguish who owns each coin? If you collect a bunch of coins from different user, how would you distributed them fair, if they come back with different grades. The coins itself do not have any serial number. The ANACS service asks you to put the coins into plastic cases and mark each one with a number that corresponds to the line on the request that you submit. I assume they come back marked somehow, but I have no prior experience with this. Can anyone lend an hand if they come back distinguished from each other? If they do not, then this group grading will probably not happen, because I will have no way of knowing whose coin is whose. I assume its nothing to worry about. If you mark the coin cases only an incompetent grader would not put the coins back in the exact same cases they came from. ANACS is better than that I don't think that is the case, I understand what your saying, but I put the coins in something like this to send... http://www.pmcash.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2387?osCsid=239mh739vm9a2ku6iatdib5ee4which I mark and correspond to a line on the sheet I send with it. Then it is graded and put into their plastic case, which I am not sure if that is marked so that I can distinguish which coin is which once they arrive back to me?

How do you expect to buy out shares when you don't have the initial capital to trade with? You can't just have enough money to buy out everyone if you did not have it at the beginning.
Also, and this is a really good laugh, you write that you can't be held liable for stolen funds. Um, I am fairly certain I don't have to explain the hilarity in this point any further.
Finally, you claim you are a good trader and can manage your trades, but you don't even attempt to prove it, past result is no indication of future profit, but it does show you at least know what your doing.
Basically, I am calling this a scam at this point. He will probably run off with your funds and say he is making trades for the next month or whatever to try to lure more people in. New account asking for you to send money with no collateral, if I have seen it once I have seen it a million times.
AVOID!!!!

First off, love the software, very easy to monitor multiple ants, especially when they are on different pools and constantly switching.
Second, I am having some trouble changing pools on my ants. I use westhash and want to set the password to something different, but when I type in what I want and click "change' nothing seems to happen and nothing changes in the S3. Is there something else that needs to happen to let me change pool info? I also tried just changing the username to see what would happen, but it didn't seem to update on the Ant.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, S3s default to having API update access blocked. When I had S3s on hand, I tried numerous times, and asking in different places, how to enable API update access. And I didn't get anywhere at all. I still don't know how to do it, or if it's possible. Plus, keep in mind the update (if it would work) is temporary only. If you want a permanent update, I think there's another program out there that will do that (Spice's miner?) M I see, that's unfortunate, but thanks for the response

I have placed an order through this service, and the OP has agreed to ship first. The product was ordered last night, and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I will reply when it arrives and document my experience (so far very happy), and if things continue this way, will be purchasing some S5's at a nice discount.

I would take 2 of the TP Link 24 port hubs at $25 each.
Do you have any server power supplies?

Can you load balance on these again? My brother wants to buy half a miner with me, and we want to make sure we can split the hashrate 50/50 to both of our pools, also any other variation split 40/60 and/or 30/70?
Thanks,
DebitMe

How about this...you hear my idea for a website I want, if you can finish it within the time you believe you owe me, we call it good. Otherwise we can forget this conversation happened for now.

DebitMe: Inasmuch as you think I have your 10.68 BTC, I do not. I consider my owed obligations to you 0 BTC, while you consider it 10.68 BTC. I'm offering you a compromise at the halfway point. Hey TF, you owe me ~3.384 BTC. Any suggestions?
Same offer, 1.692 BTC of development work. Well done on GCI! Hopefully none of your changes get hacked Thanks How about this...you hear my idea for a website I want, if you can finish it within the time you believe you owe me, we call it good. Well for some reason my unit will start off and run fine, then within 15 mins to 2 hours, it stops working. There is no error or reason and the temps are perfectly cool. This has been under wifi, I plan to try it on ethernet this weekend, but man if I can't get this to work I am going to have to RMA this thing.
BA, what are the steps to start an RMA process if it comes to that?
Hahahahaha, I'm not laughing at you but asking ba about rma's after everything they put you through already and other peoples RMA experiences well documented is just...... Hahahahahahaha I know, I was being facetious with that comment, if I can't get it to work I will probably just video myself hitting it with a baseball bat (my fiancee said I couldn't drive over it with my car because I could damage my car and its not worth risking more money lost to these assholes.) Your fiancee is right on that one. :-) Have you tried a different pool? Long shot but you never know ;-) Yes she is, lol No I haven't yet I am an accountant and this time of year is especially busy for me, so I haven't had time at all this week to mess with this thing. My plan this weekend is to plug in the Ethernet and try a different pool. If only these were as easy as antminers to run...sigh
