1482  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 06, 2016, 02:18:19 PM
Been having problems all day withdrawing from Hashnest.  The website is fast enough, able to navigate around with little trouble, but when I attempt a withdraw I get to the google auth page and it just sits there and finally times out and says invalid 2FA.

Any ideas or anyone else experiencing this?

Yeh ive got a tip regarding the 2FA withdraw thing.

It seems that the server takes so long to read the 2FA code that if you enter your code in normally then by the time the info is passed on, your code on your phone etc has already changed and then the website says code is invalid.

But I managed to get around it by putting the code in as soon as it changes to the new one...so you get the maximum time possible for the server to actually respond and send that code out.. Normally a code takes 30 seconds on your device to change to the next code so if you can do it as early as possible then you have a better chance of it actually accepting your code on the withdrawal page.

Hope that makes sense, it did seem to help for me and hopefully for you too

I figured that was what was going on and tried that a few times, but to no avail.  Perhaps the server was just running slow(er) yesterday or something.  Ill try again today in a bit and maybe they have it fixed.

1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to recover btc on: January 05, 2016, 03:53:22 PM
there are hundreds of websites offering btc investment

new users got scammed everyday , HOW to prevent this ?

The only way to prevent this is to only invest or give your bitcoins to people you trust.  Once a bitcoin is sent, there is no feasible way to get it back unless the other person sends it back.  Aka, if they are trying to scam you, the bitcoins are gone and you cannot get them back.  Do not transact with paypal or any other reversible payment gateway and bitcoin, you are likely to get scammed.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: from 10 EUR to 1280 EUR on 7 bets on: January 05, 2016, 02:40:40 AM
interested in following this thread.  Good luck on your bets, you will need a lot of luck to get to your goal of 7 straight wins.
1487  Other / Archival / Re: Do all casinos hold large wins for a few weeks for "fraud inspection"? (84 BTC) on: January 05, 2016, 02:10:18 AM
I believe I read somewhere early in 2015 where something like this happened with Fortune Jack again.  They ended up not being able to find any evidence of cheating and ultimately paid the winner out in full.  Just be patient, we are talking a good sum of money here and everybody wants to make sure everything is legit.  I would say 10 days is pretty reasonable of a request (and it has been a holiday weekend so there is that as well), but I would start raising hell if its a day past that.  10 days is more than enough for them to check every single little thing they possibly could (in reality, should take under 24 to 48 hours, but I am a reasonable person).  Plus like you said, you did nothing wrong, so you have nothing to fear.  These guys have been around for a while and probably wouldn't risk their reputation for that amount.

EDIT: congrats on your win also and welcome to bitcoin.  Not a bad way to start getting involved.  Enjoy your winnings and don't take the entire win business like, buy yourself something nice Smiley

Thanks for all the replies! A WiFi AP is on the list.

I ordered a Ledger Wallet Nano. I plan on joining a pool so how does the Bitcoin get from the pool to the usb wallet?

Your Nano will have a bitcoin address that you will copy and paste as your payout address on the pool.  Then you can set a minimum threshold to get paid out and everyday or every other day you can get payouts to your Nano.
1489  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: NEWB Alert with a Lot of Questions on: January 04, 2016, 04:58:08 AM
I have to agree that the laptop may not be the best idea to use as a gateway to the internet.  It just puts in place one more thing that can fail and leave your operation not mining for hours.  Get a wireless access point that will connect to your wireless router and you can plug an Ethernet cord into.

Also, your internet speed doesn't really have an effect on your mining speed.  Bitcoin mining takes very very little bandwidth, so although having a great download speed doesn't hurt, it doesn't really help either.

Good luck teaching your son and having some fun.
1490  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin.ag The Real Deal? on: January 04, 2016, 04:54:09 AM
They have a poker room in the World Poker Network. Betcoin.ag also uses the URL Betcoinsports.com.

They are the second rated bitcoin sportsbook using a conglomerate of analytic metrics behind only Nitrogensports.

There is no such thing as the "World Poker Network".  You clearly haven't done any research on them if you don't even know what network they are on.

I don't deal with poker rooms or casinos, just sportsbooks. Sorry if I misspoke about their poker room and shouldn't have mentioned it.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you were close.  Its the Winning Poker Network (WPN), here's the website
http://www.winningpokernetwork.com/
Betcoin is a part of this network.

Your research is on par with a 5 year old.  Anyone with half a brain could figure out everything you presented.  Not only that, but some of your accusations are wrong.

They are not new and did not just launch as you have insinuated.  They have been around for years and have done nothing short of showing the highest quality customer service in the industry.  If you compare their customer service to other sites, you will find they put most others to shame.  Their signature campaign that you docked them for has only been around for 2 months.  They have built a huge customer base without using a signature campaign, but started getting into that recently.

So, you are challenging others to "prove" why they aren't a scam, but haven't presented much showing that they are.  Every single accusation against them for payouts or anything is resolved smoothly and quickly.  Their "template"(That they heavily modified) is also used by the exchange launched by, crap I forget his name, some big celebrity that just launched their own sports betting website.

So in conclusion, you did maybe 5 minutes of research and made a quick post about it.  If you have any evidence or proof of a scam, please present it, otherwise you have nothing and this is coming across as someone as a chip on their shoulder.  Did you lose some money there or something?

Well in fact i never said it took hours did i?

At this moment i am very very interested whether they have a license and why they chose to wanted to stay dark.
You know having no contact information is illegal in most countries.

So enlighten me.
1) Do they have a license if yes give me their number
2) A solid reason why ther is no contact information on their website?

and i would be happy to delete this thread/ apologize

P.S. Your signature says it all dumbass, 2 solid questions.
P.P.S. IF you are a fanboy selling your ass for less then 50 USD a week, don't

There are ways to figure out if they have a license without throwing threads around.  I personally don't know if they do, if I remember correctly, they didn't need one where they operated out of, but that's something you can easily send in a support request for.  Then you can have something to go on, but you may want to extend your sleuthing abilities to the other bitcoin gambling sites as well, because I guarantee that not a single one will have the type of license your looking for.

My signature says nothing.  They offered to pay me to put an advertisement in my signature.  I have played there for years and have never had an issue and decided to let them.  If you looked back, you would see that I have been in over 10 different signature campaigns for all manner of sites.  So I am no fanboy, I am simply a satisfied customer who will defend a site who has done nothing to open up accusations.  Had you opened this thread against Primedice or any other site, I would still be posting in opposition because you haven't really done any work in your investigation.  It seems like you have some reason why you are attacking Betcoin since I find it weird that you just happened to choose them first when there are literally TONS of other sites that show much clearer red flags that you could be going after.

yea I think your math was off somewhere.  Here is a good tool to do the math for you...
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

I plugged in the numbers at your electricity price of 32 cents per kWh and it looks like you are unprofitable from the moment you plug it in.  It looks like anything over 17 cents is currently unprofitable for the S5.
1495  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you hate hackers,Scammers,carders ? on: January 03, 2016, 10:48:58 PM
I hate people who steal from others regardless of if it is online or in person.  Anyone who takes something from someone else that they did not earn or were freely given is just a scummy individual in my opinion.  They are taking the easy way out and instead of working hard and advancing society, they are only out there for the betterment of themselves.  There are just some terrible terrible people in this world that don't care who they harm or the consequences of their actions and it hurts everyone.

More people involved - more profit.

That didn't answer any questions.  You said you need an investor, what will the money be used for?
1497  Economy / Services / Re: Need partner for bitcoin business on: January 03, 2016, 10:27:24 PM
If you already have a bunch of scripts and bots that can earn money, why do you need a partner who has money?  Shouldn't you be able to set those up and let them run to earn you money?  I fail to see how you would need someone with money to earn more money.

why cant i join? im a valued member of Betcoin you can ask the management. I just want a fair shake.

Because your a troll with negative rep.  Read the original post, it clearly says no neg rep users, you have neg rep, it doesn't take a genius to understand that you do not qualify.  This has nothing to do with how valued you are at Betcoin, this is about advertising on this forum, which you have shown to not be a good member of.  You were given a fair shake, you couldn't play by the rules and now your not qualified.

I would highly recommend this member not be given an further evaluation towards entering this or any other campaign.
1499  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 03, 2016, 06:50:14 PM
Theres been a price drop since the new period of readjustment.  I expect a price drop with high difficulty but the price has continued to declined following days after which I am left wondering why when difficulty is looking to be neutral for the next period.  Very hard market to buy hash on the market, any clues as to why there is so much decline?

The market has never been, is not now, and will not be rational.  You have kids with no knowledge of trading strategies buying and selling hash on top of tons of people who don't fully understand what the underlying asset is.  Just look back a few pages, there are posts upon posts of people with no knowledge of what they are buying asking questions.  Those same individuals will soon realize they bought at the wrong time and try to sell to recoup their losses.

Its really not hard to value these assets.  Look at what each of the hash types will make at different difficulty adjustments, then decide which average difficulty jump you think is right.  If the total amount made is over the price of the hash, DO NOT BUY.  Its a really simply concept, and yet, there are tons of people who continue to buy.  And don't tell me the units have underlying value also.  If your plan is to try and sell these at a profit, then your still not understanding the underlying asset and if you think these will have a residual value, take a look at when the S3 and S2 went away.  It was costing so much money to get these shipped out, that it wasn't even worth it.  These are only worth what they will mine minus maintenance costs until they are no longer profitable.

Thanks for the reply.  The fact that the market is not rational really helps to make a lot more sense out of the trading action.  It's too bad there are so many people lacking basic economics to understand how this market works.  It seems simple to me, it's just a deprecating asset that pays dividends and to make profit you just have to simply earn more dividends than the asset depreciates over a certain length of time.  So with irrational declines someone would only have the choice of holding the hash in hopes the market goes back up to re-enter the profit territory at which there is a risk of high readjustment which will cause a rational decline and possibly irrational panic sells by people.

Pretty dangerous market to dabble in and I can see how bitmain makes profit at this being they sell their miners at a high cost in the first place, the maintenance fee, trade fee, handling fee if they ship it out at redemption and then they keep what ever coin is left over when that miner goes off the market.  Meanwhile while the miner is online noob traders short themselves to death.

Pretty much, but what is nice is if you really understand the market and watch it for a bit, you can make easy money by trading the dips in price against those who don't understand it. I have probably made over 5 btc by trading S5, S4, S3, and Umisoo hash. It really is ripe for the profit.
