2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we see 5k Eth price by end of the month on: September 15, 2021, 11:22:46 PM
Let see how Bitcoin changes its trend as these altcoins including ETH are still dependent on Bitcoin. We Will probably expecting for massive growth provided that Bitcoin will show a huge pump as well but per to see that it has never been looking like that. We can't be hopeless however, we can't be always positive, we also have to consider the current market situation. And besides, if not going to happen this month, might it happens next month or before this year ended.
2302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Investor call for crypto regulation on: September 15, 2021, 10:45:08 PM
IIRC, this was the time that the DeFi he has invested started to rug pull. Well, if that's the only reason, such investments that really are intriguing should be regulated to avoid scamming people.

But it had took a Mark Cuban for this call but what's happening right now? did the government started to take action as he suggested?
Well, I hope the government will listen to him...but probably they don't have the interest in doing as the government itself have no control over these decentralized exchanges. Mark Cuban is not new to this, he already knows the risk of investing money in here, then he couldn't think about blaming the market as he knows it.

if he can afford to lose that huge amount, then he will go away. We understand that the market needs more investors but if this only influence the market to get controlled by the government regulations, I don't think so. And the possibility that they will take advantage of this.
2303  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 15, 2021, 12:59:36 PM
~

We can focus on the corruption in sports or what we called sports rigging.

This is not new, though not many have been convicted on this crime, based on the speculation, it's happening in the small or big leagues in any sports.
One of the most popular scandals in the past is the NBA refs rigging the game because he was betting on the game.

Tim Donaghy, is it familiar?
Tim Donaghy rings a bell, I would lie to you if I said that I am familiar with him but yeah, I've seen a fair share of sports rigging in my country because it's a third world country so corruption is a norm. I am familiar though with referees doing bad calls and players doing bad plays.

It's normal for us to see bad calls from the refs, but we cannot prove that the call was really to favor the other team because it's part of the rig, they are just humans, they make mistakes. However, in the case of Tim Donaghy, I believe he made a confession and that become a big controversy, after that, no more refs that are called rigging games in the NBA, good job by the league.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 15, 2021, 12:33:55 PM
Back to the ballgame.

We have two games for tomorrow and both games are interesting from a gambler's point of view  Grin.

TNT 1.51 vs NorthPort 2.65
Phoenix 2.50 vs Ginebra 1.51

There's no word yet on whether Greg Slaughter will play or not, if he doesn't play i think TNT will take this one easily.

The second game is also a very interesting one. Ginebra is on a losing skid and they are in a must-win situation but Phoenix won't buckle easily so i will go for them.

My picks for tomorrow:

TNT -6.5 @1.91
Phoenix ML @2.5

Good luck.

Good to see that the game already resume back, hopefully there's no bad news that may cause any interruptions and all the game will paly smoothly.

You've got another interesting pick, the odds right now is more smaller after checking it inside Stake TNT now is only @ 1.35 while Ginebra is only @ 1.49. seems that the adjustments for TNT indicates the possibilities that Greg might not play, is there any updated news about it?

Good luck! And thanks for sharing, I may ride tomorrow during live games.

Good parlay if you bet on the Ginebra and TNT to win, that would be "2.0115"... Great odds. However, bisdak40 has a point for not picking Ginebra because his team is still currently struggling, so the logic here is, we ride on their success while we can also ride on their struggle. Good luck!

Bad idea if he did a parlay because Phoenix loss the game, they have a good start with 33-16 score, but they allow the Ginebra to rally in the 2nd half and they made a good 4th quarter as well. In the other game, TNT won by 10 points, and Mikey Williams again with 29 points lead the team, TNT also lucky Greg Slaughter did not play.
2305  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go? on: September 14, 2021, 10:40:11 PM
I worry about this situation because bitcoin can go to any lower price without knowing, although we can predict how the lower bitcoin price will go. We need to anticipate the losses and be ready for the worst scenario in the market so we do not have to get a big loss. And if necessary, we can leave the market temporarily until the situation can be back normal. If you still want to try your luck, you need to analyze deeper to find when to enter the market.
You'll/We'll never know exactly, that is the reality in here. We just live into speculations and we usually based on their previous performance but none of them give us the hint of the close possible to happen next, it certainly be going nowhere.
We have that low at $44k but looking on the chart now, we are getting back to $46k. People are mostly expecting continuous drops but apparently, they are wrong ( including me).
2306  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 14, 2021, 12:15:22 PM
With due respect, political manifestos usually have many promises, lots of wishful thinking and plenty of stuff that politicians hope that people forget when it comes to putting it in practice. Still, it is interesting that there is an specific point on corruption in sports and I would not be inclined to think that they are pointing to betting, but rather to a more general objective of reducing money laundering and bad practice in general. Governments rarely care about honesty in betting other than basic regulations.
Corruption can happen anywhere, it's just that it's prevalent in politics but that doesn't mean that it can't happen in another aspect of life, and corruption is a blanket term so it's covering a lot of stuff like stealing, killing for power and power tripping and abuse. Sports isn't an exception, people in the higher ups when they get too much power for them to handle, they get too corrupted by it.

We can focus on the corruption in sports or what we called sports rigging.

This is not new, though not many have been convicted on this crime, based on the speculation, it's happening in the small or big leagues in any sports.

2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling risks during coronavirus pandemic on: September 14, 2021, 11:30:01 AM
This thread are more helpful and it is really good for everyone who really like to play in Gambling the tips that they mentioned above it can help for everyone to control and minimize specially in our Liesure time we can think a good activity instead of playing all the time. Specially this time full of online or any social media site because of this we temp to tried and open that's why it's better we had a initiative ability to minimize Gambling in time of pandemic that we need to budget our money to our needs and wants to avoid any circumstances.
This is the time where we should be careful, I understand that we are facing a pandemic, most of us have financial struggles but we should not lose our hope, we can also enjoy ourselves like gambling, but always be responsible, know the risk so you can manage it. Whatever situation we are, if we value our money and our future, we should always be responsible, especially in gambling where in a blink of an eye, things could change badly.
2308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Ukraine has legalized Bitcoin on: September 13, 2021, 11:29:12 PM
Ukraine started the process of cryptocurrency legalization in the end of the last year, but it's still not final yet. Afaik the taxation has not been fully implemented.

Overall this law is about recognizing Bitcoin and crypto as property rather than as currency. I don't think anything will noticeably change for crypto users until taxation will be implemented.
Taxation will probably have come next when the law will state about it and when it is finally recognized as an alternative currency. This will be accompanied by strong support from the government and as well as from the community itself like in El Salvador.
Well, I believe this is another success story of Bitcoin legalization (soon) and this will also give a huge impact on the market and the trust of the community. It will just take time before the wide acceptance of Bitcoin will start.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not all altcoins will recover on: September 13, 2021, 10:53:36 PM
It is not a surprise anyway. Remember that not all altcoins have that market use-case, this means that sooner or later these projects will be abandoned by their developers and so investors. This has come to reality and with the continuous market growth and creation of new projects, I'll expect more of these projects will also becoming dead and never made any recoveries.
That is why we should not to rush the market when investing and it is a must to do research before anything else.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 13, 2021, 01:26:45 PM
Unfortunately I couldn't watch this event live.

But I watched some highlights and found it interesting, even Anderson Silva winning in the first round.
I hope that in the future there will be more "exhibition fights", even though it's not exciting as it used to be, I believe that there may be other interesting fights with some fighters from the past!!

Anderson Silva ended the fight in round 1, he was focus with his game plan while Tito Ortiz tries a bully way to beat the favorite to win in this fight. I also was not able to watch the game live as there's no PPV in our country, but I'm already contented with the highlight as the actual fight is short.

Rising Filipino boxer Jonas Sultan takes on Carlos Caraballo, the Puerto Rican sensation who has beaten all his opponents by knockout

On paper, Carlos Caraballo appears to be a monster. A perfect 14-0 slate and all by knockout.

For Jonas Sultan, however, ring record hardly matters.
source:
https://www.rappler.com/sports/boxing/jonas-sultan-tangles-with-fight-carlos-caraballo-october-2021

Sultan is under the MP promotion now and he will fight an undefeated fighter who has a 100% KO rate.
What do you think his chances against the Puerto Rican in this fight?

This Caraballo looks good and promising he has a good chance to win a title and that is if he beats Sultan who is a very tough fighter campaigning in the US, MP promotion will not give him a fight that he cannot win, I'm sure Caraballo is on a big surprise because he is fighting a tough fighter very different from all the previous fighters he fought.

If that's what promoters would only do, then boxing would be boring. I believe MP promotion is always up for a challenge and they know this fight will gain the attention ot the fans, so they are making it happen, for Sultan to beat an undefeated fighter with an impressive KO record, he needs to train harder as this could be his toughest fight.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Solana still bullish now? on: September 12, 2021, 11:10:15 PM
Some people want to invest Solana now because of the huge rise few days ago. However, some people think that today is the end of the bull market of Solana. What do you think?

The momentum that Solana creates based on the tokens offering that happens recently, i think the end of the bull market is after Solana run out of the offering momentum or Bitcoin says no no and going down.
The hypes of any tokens offering is reasonable since most tokens that do Offering on Solana give a huge return to the investors.
It creates hypes and I'm worried about what will happen after this. But analyzing its market trend, this project shows some market potentials, it wasn't just bold enough to catch the attention of the investors but to see something that this project could stay in that position.

For me, this project is worth investment but of course, we don't just focus on this project alone, to spread our money to different coins is advisable.
2313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Heading to $70,000 on: September 12, 2021, 10:44:39 PM
Always keep optimistic.
Bitcoin has its continuous market uptrend, is that what we see now but can't just set aside some factors that could affect it. The downtrend is also possible, we're not yet reaching $60k, I think we should have to stabilize at this price before it headed to $70k. But seems we are still far from that scenario and it founds unrealistic for now, maybe in the next Bullrun, after the next halving.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 12, 2021, 11:59:14 AM
As shared by OP. https://www.rappler.com/sports/boxing/jonas-sultan-tangles-with-fight-carlos-caraballo-october-2021

Quote
Now, he'll be pitted against Caraballo, a technically sound and powerful southpaw who hasn't gone beyond five rounds thus far, in a bantamweight 10-rounder.

I'm just curious since this is a bantamweight match-up, how does these fighters rank compared to Inoue and Casimero?
I believe both are bantamweight champions. sorry, not so knowledgeable on the rules.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 12, 2021, 11:18:42 AM
How about TNT vs Ginebra, which team do you think would win?

If I'm not mistaken, if Ginebra will lose in this game, they will be on a 3 losing streak.

1st they lose to DYIP, 2nd SMB, and then to TNT tonight.
We are at halftime now and TNT is leading by 7 points.
2316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins on: September 11, 2021, 10:41:00 PM
Do you hold any dead coins?

'Dead Coins refer to cryptocurrencies that have been abandoned, used as scam, their website is down, has no nodes, has wallet issues, doesn't have social updates, has low volume or developers have walked away from the project.'

How should we manage dead coins?

There is no method to activate dead coins, because their blockchain system is no longer running, so every transaction is not found. If we buy from an exchange, it's just that the coin is on that exchange and cannot be moved. But if it is token-based using another blockchain like the Ethereum blockchain, we can still move it from one wallet to another. However, this only wastes transaction fees.
We don't mind them either as it was just a waste of time knowing that there is no chance to recover from the dead. I believe that we all had hold dead coins now, I mean it was stuck on our wallet. I have some coming from bounties before and I don't bother myself to check it if there is value now as it was dead for many years, have nothing to expect them but rather to let it stay on my wallet.
2317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me some coin for mid-term Trading. on: September 11, 2021, 10:11:57 PM
There a lot of coins existed this time, almost every day another project will be listed, that is really hard to find which one of them will be good for mid-term trading. Well, I don't use that kind of word, short-term and long-term trading is only what know. It doesn't matter anyway.

I couldn't say any coins that may consider as for mid-term trading but mind if you take a look at the new projects. Most of them are considered for short-term trading, maybe you could find some of them that could attract your interest.

https://coinmarketcap.com/

May you consider the trending coins like Solana, MOVR, and LUNA.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Setting up a gambling business on: September 09, 2021, 08:55:56 PM

but I agree with your opinion that programmers are very important and needed in this sector.

Programmers alone aren't enough, if it turns out the OP doesn't really want to destroy his business. The work as a whole made us not feel that here the OP is building a business which he just couldn't give us further explanation and how he is growing while looking for a professional team. It would indeed cost a fortune and that definitely stopped him from pursuing that desire.

not only, but also

definitely a person for marketing or a team is really important if they want to grow a gambling website, signature campaigns here can help but are only a minor part of what you need for a website to grow and be trusted on the web, specially when it comes to money and the gambling sector

Getting exposure in one fo the most popular crypto forum would help, a wise gambler would see a forum's information more valuable that a personal review of a person in youtube because it could be bias, here, if one gambling site has a thread (not moderated), members would see the real reputation of a gambling site, so signature campaign would really help a lot.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 09, 2021, 08:11:15 PM
I think if he already has a lot of attention why doesn't seek some more right? And a promo is almost all about trash-talking,  obviously, we've seen some exceptions were to hype up a fight, almost no trash talking was needed. The fight will take place on 6th November 2021 & I wish all the very best to both fighters. Now for Canelo the key is how to make Plant tired.

IMO, Canelo may not be bothering too much about Plant. And perhaps that is the reason why he ignored the trash talk from Plant. Canelo is someone who has faced the world's best, including Gennady Golovkin, Floyd Mayweather and Amir Khan. Canelo himself is being regarded as one of the legends in the field of boxing. For him, Plant is just a sitting duck. If the intention from Plant was to provoke Canelo, then I am afraid that it is not going to work. It could have worked 5 years ago.. but definitely not now with all that experience.
You already said that Canelo is a legend and being a legend takes time and matches and performance.
He has many matches already and most of the fighters that he fought for sure trashtalked him. We saw it against Saunders. Saunders trashtalks, Canelo just shut his mouth or maybe he is saying some words but he isn't spitting words as much as his opponent.

I can't wait for this match to happen. We know already that trashtalks makes hype and that is what Plant is doing Smiley. Part of the marketing strategy. As for Canelo, he may not trashtalk Plant but he will let his fist do the talking on November 6th Smiley

Much better to see things in actions instead of listening or reading those trash talks between these two fighters. Trash talks are part of advertisement and social media's giving promoters free services.

What Plant are doing is more on encouraging Alvarez to go toe to toe. Maybe he's trying to heat things up and try to find lapses with Alvarez and take his chance.

He would not love the result if Canelo would fight him toe to toe, we know who is the stronger fighter and we know that Canelo would never back down as he loves to fight toe to toe. This is boxing and it's entertaining if both fighters will give their 100% to fight each other, and a toe-to-toe fight will never make the fight boring.

Quote
Whatever it is, the more actions they'll going to bring inside the ring, the better value for the money of all the fans and gamblers that
will going to buy tickets, watch PPV and bet with them.

Canelo always makes a good fight especially if his opponent are willing to give him a good fight.
2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 09, 2021, 07:44:26 PM
DYIP needs to win to continue their chance to move to the next round.
They need to adjust now that Tiongson will only be limited since the defense was focused on him, as you guys said, he is already a marked man and he will not surely achieve what he scored during the first 2 wins of DYIP this season. Good to the DYIP, looks like they are now challenge after winning 3 straight wins, I hope they'll recover and start winning again.
