2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Projects to Watch Out for in 2021 on: February 17, 2021, 04:04:36 AM
DIVI? I didn't know about DIVI beforehand. I think I am interested in reading more about DIVI so that it can become the top cryptocurrency project that can be seen in 2021. I am curious about DIVI, what is this project? or this project there is something that makes it unique or something
Quote
DIVI's strategy is so effective because it gamifies the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism in a way that appeals to many demographics and technical levels. Users who are new to cryptocurrencies can join DIVI and easily manage a MasterNode. Unlike DASH or Bitcoin, there is no issuance limit on DIVI. Instead, the governance mechanism allows MasterNodes to vote on new token issuances.

That may be the easiest way to explain it.
I don't really know much of it too and this is my first time hearing about it.
I'm glad I did. Don't want to be left in the dark with altcoins with a large number of supporters.

I have Monero though and had been in my vault for a long time.
I think stacking different popular alts is a good idea. I mean, just look at Ethereum soaring in just a year.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 17, 2021, 02:43:04 AM
I'm happy the injury is not that serious but they have to be careful now, if they rush Anthony to the floor this time it will cost them big, the best is to rest Anthony since the backup Center is doing a great job, and will give AD more time to rest, still a lot of games through the regular season, it will be wise for the lakers to prepare him for the playoffs, not regular-season games.
Yeah, I think he will be in controlled minutes per game to give him more rest.
That's better than putting players in load management.  Grin

Watching Pelicans vs Grizzlies.
Both are hungry for a win. But I think the Pelicans are starving to end the losing streak. 4th if they lose again in this game.
2303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hello 50000$... on: February 16, 2021, 01:07:54 PM
I am waiting for the people who buried their flash drives saving bitcoin in them.  Grin
I found one thread before. Like way back 2018-19. Somehow, I don't see him yet making a thread or maybe he did and I just didn't notice it.
If I remember correctly it was 2 Bitcoin which he kept.
Now he got $100k in just 2-3 years.
Hoping he still remembers where he buried it.  Grin
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 16, 2021, 09:51:30 AM
I'll be taking both Nets -4.5 vs Kings and the GSW -8.5 vs Cavaliers... Both picks look pretty spot on, but you never these until the end of the match..
We won man.  Wink
The Cavs don't have an answer for every 3 points that Curry throws to them.
Plus, they are like ropes entangled whenever Curry runs without the ball. All the defenders are being pulled to him leaving an open man.
The reason why Green had 16 assists.

I didn't watch the Nets game though. Looking at stats Kyrie got back his touch with 40 points.
2305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk tweet causes Dogecoin holders to dump on: February 16, 2021, 03:24:40 AM
This is really bad mentally.
Real supporters of Dogecoin will start thinking about manipulation in a different way. Worse way.
Just a tweet could move the market?
It could be a strategy of Musk to buy at a cheaper price but it doesn't mean every bag holder should follow it.
It's just too absurd.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do we lose at gambling? on: February 16, 2021, 02:05:26 AM
Parlays.
I really love them. It increases a huge amount of the winning prize for even a low budget bet.  Grin
Yeah, it takes a lot of risks but with knowledge of what you are doing it can be profitable.
It also makes the game more exciting just thinking about your parlay slowly winning while watching live.

When it comes to parlaying I always remember Adam Sandler from the movie Uncut Gems.
Damn, that was really risky for a huge bet.
2307  Economy / Economics / Re: Will New York become a Bitcoin hub on: February 15, 2021, 05:07:52 PM
Looks to me like his real target are the rich people.
Is he trying to gain more power?
This doesn't look like a movement for an average Joe.
Or is it sympathy/support from the mass while gaining access to the circle of big institutional investors.

Something smells fishy in this claim.
Why suddenly, out of the blue?
2308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long do you think this bull market will run and why? on: February 15, 2021, 01:39:15 PM
Consider how many popular beings are getting in.
I think that contributes to how the bull market will still run.
Also, it is to prevent it from being dumped by other big investors. Yes, FOMO.
As long as that kind of emotion is in the air, there is no stopping Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from moving up.
They are just too afraid they might miss the big boat.
2309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 15, 2021, 11:20:15 AM
My trust with Nuggets is fruitful today.
They broke the winning streak by the Lakers.
Bonus for winning the Spurs bet.  Wink

Early pick.
Nets -4.5 vs Kings

GSW -8.5 against the Cavs? Isn't it just too much coming from a loss against the Nets.
I will wait if this will go down.
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Intrinsic value of Bitcoin and Gold on: February 15, 2021, 07:40:02 AM
That had always been the debate with me and my wife who really loves gold.  Grin
When you are exposed to the internet it's easy to say everything should have value now even without a physical attribute.
"Internet" "data" you could not see it or touch it but now it's difficult to live without it.

Will the world still revolve without gold? Yeah.
The same goes with Bitcoin. The usage and demand are what will keep it going.
But we don't know what the future brings. Maybe someday it will just become history and a better one will float.

2311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation of price will decrease soon? on: February 15, 2021, 05:41:43 AM
I doubt they will stop.
When something as huge as Tesla invested, others will follow.
It may not happen for a year but it will soon.
More institutional investors will come in after deep research on what they will step in.
I mean, you cannot just follow blindly for it's a huge risk you will take.
Afterward, it will be more difficult to read the market than now or last year or two years ago.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 15, 2021, 03:21:33 AM

Image was taken live on ESPN. Credits.

Luka devastated missing the 3 point shot to tie the game against the Trail Blazers.
But what is more devastating was the referee missing the offensive foul from Anthony while Luka was defending him.
He was in front of that play and yet no whistle was blown.
Could've been a 1 point lead only and he will not be forced to shoot that missed 3.

Nuggets vs Lakers next. Let's go Nuggets!
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 14, 2021, 07:22:39 PM
Harden with 16 assists, what the h.....

I believe he is now the leader in assists, and it seems good to see the offense of Nets if Harden holds the ball more and do the facilitating.
I thought it would be somehow a close game but Nets was too much  in this game, they are slowly correcting their weakness and I love what I saw.
True. We are now witnesses of a new James Harden being created by Steve Nash.
He didn't know he got the talent for passing the ball and playmaking but now it is being maximized.

I actually love how he plays now.
He can attack, he can shoot and he can pass.
Defender will be having a lot more of a hard time guarding him. Grin
Finally, he is not wasting time dribbling the ball anymore.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: February 14, 2021, 02:46:17 PM
Ethereum. No doubt.
I regret that I didn't use every penny that I got but it's an okay number.
It's because of high hopes for Ethereum 2.0 that I got myself hoarding it.

I don't literally expect this could go this high again.
Made bad decisions with Bitcoin and XRP but not with Ethereum. Bought it at $260 and I am still keeping it until now.
2315  Economy / Speculation / Re: My calculation and prediction this month btc on: February 14, 2021, 01:42:41 PM
Fun fact: I tried to read it all but you just can't.  Grin
Bottom line: I read the final sentence only.

63k. Not a problem. It may, or may not happen. Who knows.
Maybe a graph could help other readers. It's just not that amusing when you fill it with a lot of numbers.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 14, 2021, 10:34:52 AM
GSW just lacks the firepower.
It's a battle of the small line-up but the Nets have Durant, Kyrie, and Harden which dominate in the offensive battle.

Early pick.
Nuggets ML vs Lakers.
Oh, this is going to be a fun game. Davis is back so there's a possibility this will be a tight game.

Spurs -1.5 vs Hornets.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I sell my xrp or wait until $1? on: February 14, 2021, 06:04:24 AM
When did you buy/what price?

If it goes to 0, will you be happy? If you get a loss, will you be happy? Is the unhappiness worth the mere 2x you could make?

Personally, given the ripple turmoil, I'd sell. You could make another 2x some other time in a much safer trade imo - even in the stock market that's possible (over a few months) .
I agree.
Sadly, I sold early because of that ruckus that had happened.
Let's say, my emotions got the best out of me.
I was actually late to sell it while others are already dumping it.
It will be your decision at the end of the day. Mine was already made and I will never buy back at this current price.
I think the same thought goes for those who also panicked just like me.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 14, 2021, 03:24:33 AM
So, as the Nets have a huge lead right now against GSW I have a big question in my mind.
James Harden. He has 14 assists now at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Do you guys think this changes with how Harden plays is because of their coach Steve Nash?

Nash was known as a 2-time season MVP because of his large amount of assists which mostly averaged at 15+.
Is he trying to make Harden the MVP now using the same strategy?
Points are not a question because Harden can shoot.
2319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling to lock in profit question... on: February 13, 2021, 02:50:21 PM
That's one example of FOMO.
It's not trading anymore. Or should I say you are in the middle of being a holder or a trader.
Shit happens. It happens.  Grin
I have been to that point of my life before when you need to decide if you want to sell then just buy back at a lower price but greater than your initial investment.
It sucks to be in that position actually. Still, if you know the movement of the coin you are buying then there is a chance for profit in trading.
If not, better sit back and just hold it if you see a bright future ahead.
2320  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutions hedging? on: February 13, 2021, 10:21:24 AM
The same reaction I received from one of my friends who knows little about economics.
When I told him about the news that Elon Musk or company bought that huge amount in Bitcoin.
He reacted without thinking deeply that it would lead to manipulation.

It's difficult to tell what their goal really is.
But it's also scary when huge companies are using their purchase power to gain it.
Economic crisis or a different reason, we should all be prepared for whatever the outcome will be.
Best to hoard more Bitcoin too.
