Every now and again Aminorex, you post some words of inspirational wisdom that make my day.

I am happy to see 50c

I this was the Wall Observer, I'd put a meme up...  Wink

This will be the sixth time Monero is finally worth 50 cents - and we've become exceedingly efficient at it.

It was looking a little grim for a while, though, AP...

Feels a little like... 'back where it should be'.

Back to the 0.003 - 0.004 BTC range might be better still, but keeping value against USD will do for now.

Long time, no see Tera. Lady, you've been missed.

Nice volume and price up from what now looks like a definitive bottom test in spite of BTC rise...

Much more positive.

Why has no one posted a dino-chart lately?

Whatever happened to the MagicMexican guy....  I miss dinosaurs with great hats.

*sigh*

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be....

Yeah, things are looking extremely good for XMR right now, in mark-to-fiat terms.  In mark-to-btc terms, it is looking even better, as my monkey expects two weeks of continuing XBTUSD weakness.

WRT longer term than two weeks.... does Monkey think the high 10s was the absolute bottom...?

And can Monkey see the 0.002Xs (or better) returning as a trading range soon...

I hate to presume and ask the oracle too many questions, but can't resist as he is seemingly feeling positive.

Volume back and price off what (I hope) we can now look back on as the floor.

Nice to see XMR finally taking off !!!

Yup - nice and steady at 50 cents and holding up better than many other alts.

3d and 1w are severely oversold.

Agreed - buying again.  Too cheap.  Had a bid filled in the 11s I wasn't expecting have moved more BTC in.

It would be nice if we could bottom ~0.0013, that's exactly on the following support line. In addition, we also have some support at 0.00131.

--snip--

It would indeed be nice.

I can't be the only one here who has an average buy price for a fair chunk of XMR at a level above 0.0013.

Been buying at many stops under the 20's but getting too low on ammo to average down any more just now..

It's looking oversold on a dollar value basis, so I am hopeful 13 is bottom. Pitching my last couple of available BTC in now

And back above 0.0014, what a rollercoaster. Anyway, if we can "paint" a bottom here it would signal some strength, because basically we bounced of that line now.

I think 95%, if not even more, have a average buy in price above the current level. Bear in mind, that we've only been briefly below this level and have been way higher for a longer amount of time. Thus, there is basically no way many people would've profited from it to the extent that they have a buy-in price below this level.

Furthermore, the daily and the 3D RSI shows that we're heavily oversold. I've never seen the daily RSI this low (~20) and even the 3D RSI is droping below 30.

I have been hitting anything under 14 for a few hours on and off now.  Fun to pick off even little amounts. Plus have a couple of BTC placed at varying points down to 0.001315 - and have always had a couple under 13 just in case.  More volume at this level now - so I can't be the only one - I am no megawhale!

I am too far in to go heavier (I wish) but all I can say is:

THESE PRICES ARE JUST TOO CHEAP TO MISS.

Still going sideways I see. 2015 is definitely reminding me of 2012.

Actually, that could signify fairly decent possibilities of two bubbles in the 2016 - 2017 time-frame, no?

Maybe bubble 1 would go 10 to 12x from the mid $200s price arena (that's $2,500 to $3,000), and maybe bubble 2  (after BTC crashes down to $1,500-ish would go 9 to 11x from that mid $1,500s price arena (that's $13,500 to $16,500)?

Call me a bear, or a pessimist, because the above projections do NOT quite make it to Adam's $32k prediction.

What are the odds of something like the above happening?  5% or greater?  It's certainly NOT in the realm of the impossible.

i don't think we'll see an exact repeat of the past.

What i see happening is bitcoin becoming increasingly useful and the price rising based on that fact rather than speculation, and then exploding to 32,000 after leaching some of gold's speculative/safe haven value.

so this time next year we'll see a solid rise to ~2,000$ and sustain that value, will take millions bought or sold to move price up or down, we'll see counrty A making a deal with country B using BTC, OIL for BTC or something, then Billions of grams of gold will start buying bitcoin KABOOM 32,000$ maybe 320,000$  Cool

I think the next rise or "bubble" will be like nothing we've seen before because this time it will be different, this time it we wont be speculating bitcoin is the future of money, we'll be pricing that fact in.

we may see a bit of a dip on the second run up as bitcoin mining / full nodes become more institutionalized people will be crying out "bitcoin is being centralized by big corporation! this is the end bla bla bla " but infact this is the natural evolution of the tech, early adopters will not like the idea that bitcoin has grown so big that individual nodes / miners are ran by countries and large institutions, and so they will leave to join dogecoin or some shit that will never grow past the "home users form consensus" model. this will all happen so fast, in 2-3years time, there will be much confusion, its important to remember that bigger is better! and bitcoin isn't "centralized" simply because it requires a large amount of capital ( 3000$ computer + high end internet connection ) to participate in its consensus layer.

the big question is how will have more power, China or US.

Have you seen gold?  It is shiny and beautiful!

Have you seen btc?  ________________

I agree with this one.
However, I have been pondering how Monero looks after 150 years? And guess what? Chances are it still survives thanks to tail emission which makes sure there is always someone(s) mining it and processing transactions.

You think the chances are that XMR survives in 150 years?!

There are multiple possible endgames but most of my predictions say that XMR doesn't succeed in the scope that we're talking about at all let alone to succeed and still be around in 150 years.

150 years? Cough. Splutter.

I am pretty sure I am not going to make it that far, so it is academical to me.   And a year, Jeez even one year is a long time in Crypto.

I hope we won't have to wait for anything LIKE that long to see a little pleasing action.

If it isn't making waves in the next year or two far bigger than now, something else could easily arrive which will surpass it.

Advance, or fade away.  We are looking good right now, there is palpable and reassuring momentum.  But ultimately developments, events and the market will decide.

Whole thread sleeping? Massive buying going on, >0.0026!

Hope that's not all - around 0.0026 seems resistance level, and not massive on the bid side just now.  That said an attack on 0.003 would be refreshing, let's see if it's got legs.  Might attract some of that bored money from the new No.1 in Polo volume to take a punt.

Monero currently adjusting in effective dollar price terms to BTC's fall?

It's still way what it was recently if this is indeed an indicator.

Whatever the reason, green candles are good to see...
