2321  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 20, 2019, 05:58:49 PM
I doubt there is anything left. Mainstream media tried everything in their power to make it go away but bitcoin is not going away. Why did media wanted it go away? Because, there are a lot of rich people who own the media and they didn't wanted bitcoin to succeed because if bitcoin did they would lose a lot of money so they spent all their effort and power to belittle bitcoin but they failed because nobody cared about mainstream media when they could simply just make money and profit. That is what matters to people, their own personal money.

You think there is a political thing that is wrong in your country? Tell people to spend their own money to keep it going and they will say no and that thing will soon be gone because nobody believes in anything as much as their own money.
2322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: November 20, 2019, 04:53:55 PM
Hey, this recently published article on how to avoid risky investments and spot frauds mentions our forum  Cool

Link: https://medium.com/@Peter_UXer/how-to-identify-cryptocurrency-scams-813c32816ddf?source=friends_link&sk=da150ce8128c348da4b0dfdbf57e8e12
I'm always surprised when I see people that engage themselves in investment that they don't know much about. It's really funny, how do you invest in something when you don't know the people that are running the project and where they are from. I can never invest in any project if the team are not being transparent with who they are and their plans. Investing in projects like that is like taking a huge risk, because you can wake up tomorrow and they may decide to call off the project without refunding their investors (scammers) and there will be no way for you to trace them.

Knowing the team is not the only thing that is important , you also need to know what their plans are, and the possibility of them achieving success with the project. These and more are the things you have to check before you for any investment so that you don't waste your hard earned money on nothing.
2323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one makes sense on: November 20, 2019, 05:59:27 AM
Either of the two could lead you to nothing if it ends up to be a scam so why not just get through it before the project runs. You have the option to maximize the stakes given anyway so why not that?
Just make sure you made your research in search of possible fraud or scam, it'll be worth the work and efforts in the end.
Everything here for now is full of risk, which I think that there is no way that we can avoid it if we want to continue to be a part of this bounty hunting, so it is either we give up completely or we just keep pressing till we get the right project that will not maltreat us bounty hunters.

Most of the projects that we have now can really not be predicted, and like you said, there is still possibility of them scamming even if we join the campaign along the line, so better we join at the early stage, though we still have to look at it In the aspect of our time, it would have saved our time also if the period we took part in the project is when they have started raising fund, and if they eventually scam, it will still not be like the period that we have used on them from the beginning.
2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run is coming! on: November 20, 2019, 05:24:51 AM
Grin Grin Grin hopefully mate. It has been a while science there was a big market improvement and I believe holders deserved to have some party. The dream would be the same scenario as it was back in 2017.
Holder would definitely celebrate again one day and those that are thinking holders are wasting their time will be amazed at the profit that these people will get at the end of the season. The next bull run that is coming might be the biggest that we have seen so far because I am sure that it will supersede the last all-time high of $19800 that many people have their investment in right now.

There are lots of reason that made me believe that next year is the year that we are going to see these improvements in the market when the bull run start as there is halving that is coming up, same as the Ethereum 2.0 that is also going to come up too which I am quite optimistic also that Facebook will succeed in releasing their coin too for next year.
2325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is wasting electricity and are harmful to the environment.. Yea right!!! on: November 19, 2019, 06:30:23 PM
The process of harming the environment began a few decades ago, long before the advent of bitcoin.  Today, global warming will bring a lot more problems than we could expect and all because of the greenhouse effect.  It would be better if we thought about harmful emissions into the environment from industrial plants and cars, rather than looking for reasons to defame cryptocurrency.

It's true, we began ti destroy this planet long time ago. That stil doesn't mean that only older generations and old technologies are to blame. New technologies and cryptocurrencies also harm the environment, we have to face that, although not in.such big extend as some other human activities. But that doesn't mean we don't have to try to find better solutions when it comes to electricity and emissions that are connected to cryptocurrencies.
It is only countries that does not know how to control the emission of carbon in their country that are very much concerned about bitcoin being a disaster, for countries like china and the United states, they already have the things that they do to curtail this and in curtailing this does not mean that they will stop every technology that has such emission of carbon, but they have the gadgets that will be out in place to reduce the manner and way that they are being exposed to the atmosphere.

When it comes to electricity, countries like china has a very strong electricity and a very cheap one that no matter how heavy the machine in mining bitcoin is, they might never feel the effect of it on their power system, so we should stop complaining of bitcoin consuming power but countries should be the one to expand more in what they generate.
2326  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of banking industry in blockchain on: November 18, 2019, 08:17:47 PM
It would not be easy to realise in all countries I mean it would be difficult for a country that even still prohibits the circulation of bitcoins in its territory, of course it would be difficult because changing the habit of using digital money Alan is difficult, I mean they are right Should properly adjust it, it will be very troublesome to pay your daily needs repeatedly.
At the early stage, it may be very difficult, but overtime, those countries that may have become adamant about the project will eventually loosen up because when it comes to transaction, there will always be the need to actually partner with other countries in this, and if one of the country to partner with has adopted bitcoin, they might tend to ignore, but once they start seeing 2 or 3 countries with the same, they will surely want to join the train also so that they can continue their relationship with the country, but unfortunately, the country that would have set sample for this is not helping as they are all about themselves alone which even after they have accepted cryptocurrency, what they are thinking of is how they can create their which I am talking of china.
2327  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 18, 2019, 07:29:41 PM
We have seen some of the assets backed crypto coins in the market on the way and do you guys think this will be the future as this is directly based on national assets like gold and other products like charcoal and energy based products.  This will help in growth of country's economy if not taken over by greedy corporatesand and and will it have government's support or soft corner in the regulator's eye as it will bring in some money from outside.
We have stable coins already and they are the first attempt by developers and Coins like Libra is also one of those, as it is backed by a reserve to keep the price stable. But as we all know it, Libra might no longer be a success due to the government being against the idea of having a global cryptocurrency that will be controlled by Facebook and whatever it is that made them disagree.

But, there are still others like USDT, TUSD, etc. though investors are not showing much interest in it. Bitcoin is volatile, but it is still the cryptocurrency that is getting more attention from most investors.
2328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: November 18, 2019, 06:53:08 PM
I have been able to overcome the fear of missing out. Unlike when I was a newbie, I will always be rushing in when the price starts to go up and sometimes I will get in and at the end the price will still fall back to the lower price. Price speculation by people was part of what makes to jump without taking the time to read the chart and all that.

But, this time around I don't let anything control, I will buy whenever I want, even when the price is falling I still buy. I learnt to buy during the bear trends because times like that are the best time for buying bitcoin or any other coin you want at a cheaper rate. And If there happens to be a bull run later you will be happy with yourself that you did. FOMO is a serious case and it's something that people need to learn how to control their emotions.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitTorrent Price Prediction 2020 on: November 18, 2019, 06:02:33 AM
As BitTorrent is expected to get good support from various categories of institutions, the bittorrent price may spike in 2020. BTT will have an amazing future, this is why Netflix and Amazon Prime may collaborate with BitTorrent. The currency already has quite a big user base in the world, which is why it might create a brand new ecosystem in the world of media and may also collaborate with Spotify. Owing to all the above factors, the currency may reach $0.0080 by the end of 2020.

What's your take on bittorrent price prediction 2020?
It is not a bad prediction anyway because Bittorent is a project that I give lots of respect to for the kind of content that they have and before they joined the cryptocurrency too, they have developed their working project that has been working, so I would not use this bear market to judge the project which I also know that they year 2020 which I to mark a very significant year in the history of some of these cryptocurrency will make the value of Bittorent to rise above the predicted price of yours.

Next year is the halving of bitcoin, which will lead to the increase of bitcoin and as bitcoin increases, the value of some of these altcoins will also surge, next year is also expected of Facebook to launch their Libra project and also the Ethereum update, so all these coming together will really make the value of Bittorent to surge.
2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Criminals got balls because no COP or law to tackle them on: November 17, 2019, 04:23:53 PM
You're right OP. Cryptocurrency scammers are hardly being caught. I think some people are getting this wrong; since cryptocurrency is anonymous it is hard to get someone when they scam another person, and that's because there is no means to trace them. If a hacker should hack an exchange and steal the money they can move it to a coin mixer and that way you won't be able to trace them for good.

But, if there were regulation and everyone that wants to make use of cryptocurrency is required to verify their identity, people will be afraid to try such, even hackers because they know that with the information they have given to their wallet provider they will be traced easily.

I saw someone post about someone that was involved in a project that scammed people over $16 million dollars and was caught. Well, that's a different case, those people were caught because they exposed their identity, which is different from the case I have explained above. You cannot start a project and get investors without proving your identity, that's why, sometimes, scammers will try to impersonate someone else.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM is only potentially $ 250 in November. on: November 17, 2019, 01:14:01 PM
all that is good is everyone's hope. but remember we have to look based on the current market analysis. ethereum renewal is next year. and market sentiment is not yet running which makes ethereum look more stable now with just a little movement. soon it will be difficult to see the ethereum pump.
I would not doubt a pump in Ethereum and every other top coins because their pump no longer depends on their real use case as it used to be, but on the increase of bitcoin. Most of the pump they have been having this year has been as a result of pump from bitcoin, so every time that I wish that these altcoins rise in value, what I wish for is that bitcoin goes on bull run.

I cannot now say if Ethereum plan to introduce their 2.0 next year will have any effect on the value, but it is our believe that at list the release of the project will create hype for the coin even if it will still not have real working product. The market is really going bad now with scam project and I don’t see the release of their 2.0 solving that, so whatever plan that they have for their 2.0, I hope that it is really worth it anyway.
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So many altcoins on: November 17, 2019, 12:29:29 PM
with lots of alts in the market it only means that we have a healthy environment unfortunately most of alts in the market has not gained a good attention from the investors. I guess it is better to conduct IEO or ICO when the market raises to get the attention of the investors.
Yes there's a lot of altcoins and have many choices when you are going to invest on it.  But for now maybe choose what to buy because some are not really good to hold and some are good to hold so it means the popularity of altcoins are become wide to those investor but i inkow they can choose well before they are going to invest or buu it.
It is because we don’t have regulation that we are having so many ridiculous altcoins in the market and if there was regulation, I am sure that not more than 200 coin would have made the list and seeing all these over 3000 coin with many of them having no real use case is really confusing lots of people.

Imagine that a novice comes to the market now, and then decided to invest or make use of a cryptocurrency for the first time, and then with the little knowledge that he has, he picks any of those coins to use and ended up getting disappointed, how would he be encouraged to continue using cryptocurrency, and that is how we keep losing many interest. It is not about researching on projects for now, but I think it is about looking for how to get rid of those confused and confusing projects that we have in the market.
2333  Economy / Economics / Re: The Risks and Rewards of Cryptocurrencies on: November 17, 2019, 06:43:07 AM
The risk of cryptocurrency is mainly about losing money due to the volatile nature of it. Apart from this risk of instability of values, other risks can be avoided when you're careful.

There are some who say that cryptocurrency lacks acceptance and that's why they don't want to make use of it, well that used to be true, but right now there are lots of businesses that are starting to accept the crypto payment such as bitcoin. Though another problem is that you have to be careful with them or just don't use your bitcoin for buying things online.

The next thing is theft: cryptocurrency wallets can be hacked, but you can still avoid this by being careful and securing your wallet with the proper security. These are the only risks I'm sure about and they can be avoided except the price instability.
Everyone already knows that the risks involved is that you can lose your money. If you're lucky you will be able to make lots of money. Anyone who is investing in cryptocurrency should always be aware of the risks that are involved.

When I started cryptocurrency I was never aware that Bitcoin can be really volatile and I was using a Xapo wallet then and the price if Bitcoin was $250 or so. So, I received some bitcoins from someone and left it in my Xapo wallet with plans to sell it the next day. The next day I opened the wallet and logged in and realized that the price dropped down to $240+.

I contacted support and questioned them about what happened to the money and they told me that that's how cryptocurrency is, that your money can go down at any time. Don't blame me for it, I never knew that cryptocurrency is something volatile. I was looking for a payment method to use and I searched on Google and Bitcoin came and I checked and it was available in my country, I didn't take out time to research more about it since people said it was legit. It was after this incident that I decided to do further research on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
2334  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Bullish for Bitcoin’ — China Scraps Plans to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 17, 2019, 06:10:53 AM
Cointelegraph

No doubt that this could be the one of the most bullish news this year, this could quiet bring back confidence to Chinese Crypto miners that fled from their country due to past regulation pressure. Whats your thought, is this the bullrun catalyst that weve been waiting for?
Bullish for Bitcoin? Well, from what I see the price of Bitcoin is going down and not being bullish. The price has dropped From the rate of $9000+ and down to $8000+ now, so I don't see how that's being bullish. Well, China is going to benefit from bitcoin for sure: they have cheap electricity and they will be able to make income from miners and that's for sure.

This morning I read a news article that Bitcoin might drop once institutions starts to adopt it. The expert claimed that the price might even drop to zero once they start adopting it but I don't know if this is really true.

this seems to be a nightmare for traders because at this time it is seen that the price of bitcoin at the place of exchange is starting to fall, from here it has been seen that many mining and traders are panicking and prefer to secure their assets by selling bitcoin at cheap prices.
Well, at such situation you have no choice than to sell your coins at a cheap rate. There are some who will still not sell their coins because they strongly believe that the price will go up. I have seen someone that still held his Bitcoin after the price fell from $20,000 and down to $8000.
2335  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Plans To Onboard 180 Fiat Currencies on: November 16, 2019, 05:05:44 PM
Of course, it would create a very big impact as many countries would fund it easy now to be able to trade through their coin using the platform. I think binance really needs to be given an award for trying everything in their best to make sure that the cryptocurrency market is working according to plan and not because of their selfish interest alone.

I like the fact that binance never runs out of idea to help improve the cryptocurrency space, when they saw the challenges that people were having during ico, they came up with IEO which was all their idea until some of these useless exchange who has nothing in their head other than to spoil another man’s work decide to join in the raise and I wonder if they cannot just think of ideas from their head, and don’t be shocked when you see some exchange coming up with this nee idea again through.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 16, 2019, 03:27:50 PM
Start buying altcoins before its too late, the red market you are all complaining about is a big opportunity for those who knows that altcoin time will arrive, all you need to do is ....

1. Buy altcoins that have real use cases or backed with real wprking product, they tend to always have value better than copied projects.

2. Take it or leave it, new good projects will bring better ROI than many old altcoins, feels like we've seem how far old altcoins can go already, now its new altcoins time.

With the condition of the many falling altcoin prices, there is indeed an opportunity to accumulate at a low price. But in my opinion, not all altcoins are worth investing in for the long term because many altcoins are starting to be abandoned by the developer team
For this reason known to us already is why we need to be very selective about projects now, we have to just ensure that the project that we want to buy is such a project that will have a future that can be sustained for a long time and not the ones that developers will abandon.

Most project that usually gets abandoned by developers are project that usually do have developers that are inexperienced and because they are inexperienced, they lack the ability and understanding to be able to withstand any pressure, but a developer who has been in a business for a very long time, already understand the challenges that usually accompany most projects, so they are able to deal with them professionally when they come across any, so we have to watch out for project with team that have past experiences.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is worth to invest in dogecoin? on: November 16, 2019, 02:04:21 PM
The dogecoin opportunity is quite good, its function which is often used in trading strategies makes it functional.  So that for the long term it is quite promising, but for those who want spontaneous benefits will be quite difficult.  Technically, Doge is supported by a team of professionals and continues to develop its products, forming unique niches with a strong support community.  It's just that the unspecified max supply is one of the weaknesses of the doge to develop prices.
For me this coin does not have much value in investing because DOGE is no longer a promising investment and you will face a lot of great risks if you invest in this coin. As I know, the development team of this project has stopped working and there are not many big changes when investing so please think many times before making a decision. You can speculation on this coin but only hold it for a short time and always set price sell after buying to minimize the risk of trading.

Future of DOGE will be very dark so instead of choosing DOGE, you should look for the better new coins available in this market.
What makes you think that the developers have stopped working, because they are not giving promo out? It is not only doge coin team that is not promoting, also every other project too is not because we are in the bear market and no one seems to be interested in investing in altcoins for now until the bear market is over.

The doge team has already provided a solid project to a level where all they need now is people that is meant to use it to accept their token, in which they are trying their best to make sure that they do awareness in the little way they know it will have effect until the bear market is over. If you are judging doge coin like this, how come all other coins too even the top ones are acting similarly?
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM is only potentially $ 250 in November. on: November 08, 2019, 07:34:08 PM
don't be so pessimistic about my prediction, I say the highest potential until the end of November.  I did not set a fixed price, in the sense that the price of $250 can be achieved or not.  but it is too soon to conclude that this prediction will not be reached in November, because I think there are still 23 days left so we wait and see.
yes, but we also have to think realistically. for the past few days ethereum has struggled to survive at $190. and in November there doesn't seem to be enough interesting news about ethereum. so it's hard to convince people to buy eth in the market. if there is a big news that can trigger the pump.
It should not be hard to convince people to actually buy Ethereum now if they really do understand that at every increase of bitcoin, Ethereum is always growing in price and for any smart investor, I think since bitcoin is hard not to accumulate one, I mean in term of prices, Ethereum can still be accumulate, but that should be when we know that bitcoin had dip and the recovery stage is what we were looking for.

The last time that Ethereum rose in value, it was still bitcoin that made the value if Ethereum to surge, and most of the altcoins in the market, everything still depend on the momentum of bitcoin and we should wish more that the bull run of bitcoin will start, if the bull run of bitcoin can start, then coins like Ethereum can also have value more than what it is now.
2339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy these altcoins!!! on: November 08, 2019, 07:04:09 PM
Ripple is only used at major banks and often uses the technology of this coin to develop so XRP is often not paid much attention in the crypto market. I think the only reason why this coin has not been able to rise well in the last half year is that the supply of this coin is currently very high and can cause inflation at any time so XRP is not encourage investment during this period.

I sold all XRP last year and certainly will not invest again because for me this coin is no longer worth making a profit and I will look for better coins to hold in the long term.
Ripple to me is still the wrongest choice of investment for anyone to really have amidst all the other coins that are more appreciated, I would even prefer to invest in an exchange token than to invest in ripple that I dint really know where they stand, if they are stable coin or high yield investment coin, because they have been stagnant on a particular value for a very long time now which I don’t even know how this does not bother them for the team to be more active.

They seat on the third level in coinmarket cap, but the team of Tron is more active as I hear of Tron project more than I hear of ripple project. People should just get into their mindset that ripple is centralized coin and what is the essence of using it when we can easily use bitcoin.
2340  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | Sportsbook Launches November! 👽 on: November 08, 2019, 06:34:04 PM
The difference between other bubbles and sportsbook being super popular right now is that stake is stake already, they are not turning into a sportsbook website, they will keep their casino part open for everyone and I am 99% sure their casino part will get more customers even after the sportsbook.

So, if sportsbook is still popular after years then it is great for stake, if sportsbook becomes boring and the bubble bursts and not many people play there, stake will still have the casino part of the deal so they will still make money from there. When a bubble happens it is something brand new with no fall back guarantee so it goes up but then crumbles down, here it is not like that, even if the bubble bursts there is a casino to fall back on so it is not that important.
