Hi Riku,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We will begin investigating this immediately as it could have very serious consequences.

Thank You,
BitFunder Support

Let's see what BitFunder thinks about using IPO shares to pump and dump the market.
Hope that the stock would not be delisted, we will all lose big if it happens.

Did try to make him view things differently. You are coming across as educated idiot rikur, and i hope you have thought about the repercussions of your actions.
2322  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: May 24, 2013, 11:09:58 PM
I contacted BitFunder and they are now investigating this IPO.

You seem to have a bit between your teeth rikur (pun intended). You have made what are probably valid comments and questions. You obviously dont feel fulfilled, and/or your questions have not been answered to your satisfaction.
Given the context of the unregulated bitcoin space we are operating in, dont you think you may be acting as if its the FTSE or NYSE? Like i said, youve made your point, but please, have a reality check.

Check my earlier post. I said something was suspect before anyone else, and i still bought in.....because i took a wider view.

The title of this thread has the word cooperative in it. Are you cooperating?

So what do I need to do to make sure the coin I received gets funded?

Basically you only have to enter the firstbits on blockchain.info to know if the coin is funded.

I know how to check it, the balance is zero.  The problem is that I notified hardbtc.org that I received the coin over a day ago, and they have not responded to my messages and the balance is still zero.

Mr HardBTC is a genuine guy. Your coin will be funded.
If he hasn't replied in 24 hours, send me a message and i will text his phone for you.

An interesting share, that im watching like a hawk. The (re)distribution of the order book looked a bit suspect to me, but at least we have some growing participation and interest now.

These askwalls and bidwalls seem far too high considering there's such low volume.

I wonder if this is a kind of DOS against Bitcoin itself.

Someone with enough USD and BTC on the exchanges could create an artificial situation like this and pull the plug either way whenever they feel like it.

This. These walls are way too coordinated.

Who would be selling right now, when Bitcoin is so obviously getting geared up to go?

So what are you guys suggesting the purpose and thus end result would be?  Speculating of course.

My reason was the conference. And it still kind of is related to it. My guess now is that Big Money works in groups, Big Money has friends. And their friends now see Bitcoin in the same light the rest of us do(at least profit-wise) - but they're not quite ready. They need to get some internal infrastructure ready for the conversion to Bitcoin. Also they might be waiting on Bitcoin exchange infrastructure to accommodate their level of planned buying; can current exchanges handle multiple buys of millions of dollars?(I am asking, I don't know) So they get back to their Big Money friends like "Yes, we get it now. We just need a few days to get everything in order. Please just hold the price for a short time, to stop a panic buy among current holders(and other companies), so we can start the real buying at these prices when we're ready." This would more than pay for the money their friends spent holding the price, at these volumes its just too easy for them.

My guess would be is that they know a gold rush is inevitable, and that it will be a race. Not everyone knows they are going to end up having to run in this race, but the ones who do want to have a stable starting line as they're walking up, so they can make sure to get their affairs in order without any kind of panic.

As in, this stability is the "take your marks" portion of the race.

I think theres some logic there. Stability was needed for more than one reason. I see it as perfectly reasoned for vested interest players to collude like this, and i dont see that as a negative thing right now.

So who snapped up those last 18x call options @1.9796 about 2 hours ago? I only managed to grab 2x, and was waiting for more funds to arrive. Come on, who was it?  Lips sealed
2334  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling ebay account on: May 22, 2013, 10:51:00 AM
I'm not looking to buy an ebay account, just want to make sure people understand the dangers.

Oh, i understand now. Thanks for clearing that up.
2335  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling ebay account on: May 22, 2013, 10:31:16 AM
Just because something is listed and sold on ebay it doesn't mean it's allowed to be. Items can slip under the radar for a short/long amount of time before they catch up with you.

Which is why i suggested another option. What did they say?
2336  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling ebay account on: May 22, 2013, 10:08:41 AM
I would love to see the ebay page that says it's ok to sell your ebay account.

'Completed Listing'. Or just open a chat box with Ebay and ask them, and report back.
2337  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction of 400 shares of ASICMINER on: May 21, 2013, 12:35:16 PM
I gave you 10 hours for a payment. Actually I was waiting for you for a few additional hours. You did not do it in time.
If we talk about scamming here, that I scammed 15 ppl who won the auction (but definitely not scamm you): I PMed to friedcat after almost 40 hours after this auction ends, although I should to do it in 36 hours. This additional hours I was waiting for you.

have a nice working day

I'll have his shares!?  Wink

I have to say that after being at the conference, talking with the Ripple guys (who did a really valient job of trying to explain to everyone how it works) I still don't understand how it works. To my credit, most people at the conference said they don't understand it. Including some of the core bitcoin dev's and a number of other talented programmers in the bitcoin world. Indeed, no one I spoke to said they really understood how it works.

So, to quote one guy at the conference: "It should make you nervous that you don't understand it".

That's my position on it for now. Speculatively it looks interesting, but the fact that I don't understand it, and guys much smarter and more experienced then myself don't understand it, makes me skeptical of it's future.

Ditto. Was at a Bitcoin meetup last week talking about Ripple, and ive listened to that LetsTalkBitcoin edition of explaining Ripple. Still dont get it, and now dont want to.

Why would you be comfortable leaving 3035BTC @ $333, right now? And same question for the next 10KBTC up to $1000000? Discuss
2340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp volumes, what do they imply? on: May 20, 2013, 02:23:31 PM
Verification was very fast, SEPA takes 1-3 workdays.

On Gox? I haven't tried a SEPA withdrawal myself, but i've read about 3 week/ month delays... They even give a warning that it will take about 3 weeks...
Bitstamp is much better in that aspect.

Oh, sorry to be unclear. I was talking about Bitstamp to confirm Bitstamp is quite fast.

The walls on Bitstamp look so damn scarry, but weren't moving for days.

Time to use volume on Bitfunder, me thinks. Smart money there, people.

Could you elaborate on that? Are you saying: if you're bullish, you should invest BTC in shares, to gain even more? Wink

Im saying spread the volume around abit, while exchanges are so low on volume. Its not advice, but peeps should realy start to diversify and desiminate their BTC more and more, for more reason than one.
I dont do the bull/bear thing, but i get the sense you feel you need to be bullish on the exchange price, to be buying or selling shares. That would be a wrong assumption. Moreover, owning shares can be a nice hedge against spot price falls.
For a start its not just shares, but funds, and options also. Most of them pay dividends. Check out the rate of % return in dividends a few of these are paying.
Fact is, you own a share that can be traded in or out on the order books. You get high dividend returns. Shares like ASICMINER averaging 5% daily gains at the moment. Whats not to like?
As an example, yesterday i bought 5x Call option on ASICMINER, with 18 June expiry...... i hit breakeven 2 hours ago!

So all im saying is, there are other ways to keep the interest going while exchanges decide what to do next.
