2341  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin for cash ? on: September 30, 2017, 02:44:14 PM
I was thinking of selling my bitcoins for cash. Is it perfectly legal to do so ? Amount is close to 3-4K.

Thanks for reading.

It depends on your local laws, Mostly it is safe to sell the bitcoins for cash; no authority is able to noticed that you have en-cashed the coins as the transactions takes place anonymously and the identity of the user is hidden.
2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can ruin a Country? on: September 30, 2017, 02:34:21 PM
Well, i just thought, if bitcoin become a currency of one Country, maybe it can destroy that country? Think of it, Bitcoins do not have a tax, and tax are used by the government to make that country a good one, without tax, what will be used to spend and make that country a good one?

What do you think?

I don't think that. If the country has regulated and legalize the bitcoins, then they will make sure to pull out some solution to collect the tax on transactions related to cryptos. Decentralization is the main reason, why many countries and the leading banks are opposing the concept of cryptos.
2343  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: September 30, 2017, 02:28:43 PM
Where to report a cybercrime?

Cybercrime can be reported at local police station as all the police stations have their special department to investigate the cyber crime. Recently there has been significant growth in such crimes; therefore corrective steps should be taken to stop such crimes.
2344  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: September 30, 2017, 02:08:31 PM
bitcoin is five years time in my opinion there will be a lot of hard forks from the original bitcoin blockchain and the value of bitcoin would increase by 300 percent today's price. if transaction's speed and price remains the same, bitcoin's not improving and maybe the price wont grow that much

Bitcoin has the potential to reach the 5000 milestone within the time frame of 5 years, it can be confirmed if we look at the current steady growth of the bitcoins.
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I stll don't know what to do with my Bitcoins... on: September 30, 2017, 01:46:30 PM
Besides keeping it to raise in value later. There is not much I can do...

With fiat money, I can pay rent, go to restaurants, buy clothes. But with BTC, there is basically no stores that accept them in my country. Sure it's easier online, but then again the stores might not have the best products or is the cheapest/best value.

Am I the only one facing this issue?

It will take longer time for bitcoins to replace the fiat currency, mass adoption is required for the bitcoins. Till then you can hold the bitcoins for longer time for booking descent profit in future. People are already considering the bitcoins as digital gold; so keep calm and have faith on bitcoins.
2346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help ! I'm New to CryptoCurrency on: September 25, 2017, 06:13:38 PM
ICO is one of the initial mode of generating funds by offering the coins to the investors. We have seen in the past that, many ICO's concluded as scams so it is advisable to stay away from such projects.

Joined sig campaign. Hoping to get some BRKOKSKSOS

Your signature has extra material in it. It won't be detected as a correct sig by the bot and you won't get credit.

The signature needs to be a verbatim copy of those on the OP.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi please check if I copy and paste is correct , didn't do it on PC , I little worried
yes it's correct your names on the list the bot picked it up https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l4x7YSbo7f3TjRcXDulr6O6trT9HTlXNJHaHYZAbXoI/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=922535862

In my opinion 500k would be to many coins for a masternode that would mean you can only have a maximum of 200 masternodes , dashcoin/darkcoin picked a low number like 1k so they can have a extremely large number of masternodes, cause each masternode helps protect and secure the network, And that's the entire goal
of running a masternode isn't it? I think 50k would be a good number for a masternode that gives you at least 2000 masternodes and gives more people the option to run a masternode instead of 100-200 people..

Yes, the idea is to have enough nodes running to secure the network and so nodes that run 24/7 should be rewarded more than nodes that only stake for a few hours every week. I do think that you should have to make an investment in a mastenode and that the price of getting a masternode should be high so that once you have the masternode you will want to run it for a long time. If anyone can just get a masternode for no investment then there is no real incentive to stake for a long time. If it't too easy to get one, then the staker will just jump onto the next coin when this appears to offer a higher reward.

agreed, current ico price is what 49 sats per coin? At 50k you'd only need about 0.025 btc which is too little imo, even if the ico price triples.
ah I had no idea of the ico price, ya that would be pretty low Scrap that thought then  Wink

I have a few questions about the staking of this coin, my first question is how long should it take on average for 100k coins to stake a block of  200? and my second question is, is the stake broken? the stake weight of total network doesn't seem to be lowering when a new block is found am i the only one seeing this and it doesn't seem to be adding the correct weight for the amount of coins i have/time spent been trying to stake them... with a decent chunk of coins 30k weight over a period of 120 hours? i'll be lucky to stake 0.001% in a year at this rate

2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Mojocoin [MOJO] - Nxt MS coin w/ free distribution on: November 15, 2015, 11:30:10 PM
I'm using the Windows installer from nxt.org. The NRS version says 1.5.15 Outdated!
Do I need to run the update to 1.6.2?

Yes, update to 1.6.2. After update, there will be rescan of database, which is not short. To speed up the update, go to www.peerexplorer.com and download latest snapshot of database (right bottom of the page). Copy database to database folder nxt_db and then run 1.6.2.

OK. Thanks
not really sure what you mean by copy the database to database folder? am i supposed to be copying the entire nxt_db folder and putting it somewhere? or am i supposed to be copying something and putting it in the nxt_db folder?  Undecided first time using this type of wallet, ya i know it's surprising haha but i'm pretty lost on what i'm supposed to be doing to fix it properly.../update it

What OS do you use?
windows 10  Wink
