2341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: checking Ledger Nano S BTC balance on blockchain on: December 28, 2020, 09:30:03 AM
Clicking "receive" button from your Ledger Live creates a new bitcoin address that is perhaps empty because Ledger Live has a function to automatically change the "used" address from your previous transaction to achieve an optimum privacy.

More info here: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034336713-Receiving-address-changed

What you can do is to double click one of your bitcoin account and look for your previous transaction history labelled as "Latest Operations" Click of one them for you to see your receiving address found at the bottom and then copy and paste to your favorite explorer. Or you can just click the "View in explorer" to instantly redirect you the a blockchain explorer.

2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is a fair transaction fee for the Bitcoin transaction? on: December 28, 2020, 09:00:14 AM
A fair transaction fee should be free, otherwise it is a tax.

You are being taxed by miners to move your coins.

When I trade peaches for pizza, there is no fee.
When I trade milk for eggs, there is no fee.
When I give fiat cash as a gift to another person, there is no fee.
When I move btc, there is a tax.
Surprisingly, zero fee transaction was made possible during the early years of bitcoin as well as some blocks that has been created this year 2020 and 2019 as well.

2019 Block

As far as I know, if we were moving bitcoin from one place to another without considering the transaction fees then there is a high probability that there will be a massive spam of bitcoin transaction every second.

@Upgrade00 is correct. It has to be "uncheck" in order for you to avoid confusion about the replies and the topic you have created. This is my "Look and Layout Preferences" settings which is also the default configuration after you have created your account.

2346  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Duelbits.com | Signature Campaign ~ Full Members+ | Up to $60/Week on: December 28, 2020, 01:57:40 AM
When will there be more places for your campaign?
There is no definite date when the campaign will start to accept signature campaign participants again. You need to wait until @Hhampuz announces an open position.

You can click "Notify" on the top right corner of the thread for you to have an alert if there is someone who posted a reply. However, you have a negative coming from a DT member, I don't think you are allowed to join.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is pointless if the BTC fees increases along with rise in BTC price! on: December 27, 2020, 08:56:53 AM
Question..

Are we able to use Electrum Testnet client for setting up and running a lightning node since electrum released a version that supports it some time ago. I've seen this The Lightning Network FAQ thread for a while now, I wonder if it has an Electrum tutorial.

2349  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin Confirmations Question on: December 27, 2020, 07:26:31 AM
Also saw the fee as almost 7 dollars or so.  That is the fee that the site paid right?  Just want to make sure but im pretty sure.  Thats pretty high.  Is that the avg now?
Some websites charge their user's withdrawal for that certain amount of fee since most of them are doing batch payments for their clients or maybe to have at least some profit on their side. Most of the cryptocurrency exchange and gambling website are doing that similar process. More importantly, you can visit Johoe's Bitcoin Mempool Statistics to see how much sats you can spend to make a transaction.

At the time of writing this, you can spend a minimum of 2 sats/vbyte for your transaction to be included in the next block.

My assumption here is because it doesn't have enough confirmations... that is why the USD amount keeps changing in the history of transactions of ledger live?
The USD rate has nothing to do with the confirmation showing on the transaction details. The reason why the fiat value is constantly changing is primarily because of the supply and demand of the certain asset which in this case is BTC. On the other hand, "confirmation" tells you that your transaction has been verified and is included in a block. In layman's term, confirmation is a representation to tell whether your transaction is complete or not.
2350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long-Term HODL With No Strategy Needs Some Guidance on: December 27, 2020, 04:52:12 AM
I think what you need right now isn't about finding actual experts in terms cryptocurrency trading but to reflect on your own why do you trade with no definite trading plan. Give yourself a break and abandon trading charts for a week or months and start reading trading resources that is scattered all over the internet. Much of the trading video courses and articles you can find are for free and you don't even need to pay a thousand bucks in order to be profitable though..

Stop searching for the "Holy Grail" type of trading group as none of which exists in the first place. Learn the technical and fundamentals first and try to find a group of trader within your community to help you fasten your learning curve as well as for you to be comfortable asking various trading questions. I understand the pressure of wanting to have a decent profit but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Anyhow, good luck with your trading career.
2351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [BINANCE] Transfer failed Insufficient Frozen Amount on: December 27, 2020, 02:10:17 AM
Can you please read this article, perhaps you would get your answer from there, A guide to preventing Bank Accounts from being frozen in P2P
Nope. It's not about my bank account being frozen but the funds being frozen in the spot wallet where deposits of cryptocurrency is being held. Anyways the problem has been fixed.

I'm curious to know too the solution to this kind of problem as a fellow BinanceP2P user. There live support is quick to fix any issue just be patient on waiting on the queue.

Just a tip for everyone though. The reason why Binance is freezing the wallet making you unable to make such transfer from one wallet to another wallet is because that the deposited amount of BTC from your spot wallet is still not completed its required number of confirmation, maybe for security purposes. Though the balance is reflecting on my wallet after completing the 1 block confirmation, you still need to wait for at least 10 or 15 minutes for you to be able to transfer your funds to another wallet..

Thank you everyone for replies  Cheesy. Locking the thread now.
2352  Economy / Exchanges / [BINANCE] Transfer failed Insufficient Frozen Amount on: December 26, 2020, 03:08:20 PM
Hey Everyone!

I've tried transferring my BTC balance to my P2P wallet however Binance kept showing this warning sign saying "Insufficient Frozen Amount"  Roll Eyes. I wonder if people has the same experience when making such transfer. With that said, I don't remember having any transaction issues from my previous peer to peer deals in this exchange and my account isn't frozen either.

2353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1inch exchange token claim on: December 26, 2020, 08:11:08 AM
Waiting to see if there's any popular exchange that will list them on futures markets. These are the kind of tokens that are wonderful to short once the price starts correcting after the initial spike  Grin
Interestingly, both Binance and OKex have listed 1INCH tokens on their platforms especially in futures contract. I am sure that for those people who are eligible from their airdrop had a very prosperous holidays. The price is currently having sideways though around 1.7 - 1.9 USD.

Binance Futures will launch 1INCHUSDT perpetual contracts, with trading open at 2020/12/25 10:00 AM (UTC). Users will be able to select between 1-20x leverage. The 1INCHUSDT perpetual contract is a USDT-margined futures contract that uses USDT as collateral.

We are pleased to announce that 1INCH margin trading and savings feature will be enabled at 03:00 UTC December 25. USDT-margined Perpetual Swap for 1INCH will list at 02:30 UTC December 25..
2354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Extension] Newbies - Read before posting on: December 26, 2020, 06:50:17 AM
If one can notify @Lauda to merge / extend his/her post it'll be great
Too bad that Lauda has given his/her (LOL) statement to permanently leave the forum. I am not just sure if there is someone who can personally contact her just to edit the created pinned post.

Hereby I want to emphasize that it will never again be possible to contact "Lauda", just as it is impossible to contact the dead. I do not want any chance of an impersonation scam in a name that many people trust.
I wonder if there will be a function for moderators to edit or update someone's post in the upcoming bitcointalk forum software. That function is similar from what I have experience when I tried asking for help in stackoverflow.

As far as I am concerned, I think it would be better to just leave the forum as it is since there are lot of members here who are willing to answer those question comprehensively regarding any topic. Anyhow, I still like the idea  Wink
2355  Other / Meta / Re: Why do most Full Member accounts are inactive? on: December 26, 2020, 06:15:04 AM
What you are seeing are just members who are luckily reached a certain rank before the implementation of the merit system requirement during the first quarter of the year 2018. They are given an initial amount of merit based on their current rank when merit system was initialized.

I see that a lot of accounts on the forum have exactly 100 merit and the minimum requirements to be a Full Member.
They have an exact number of merit because they are not actively participating on some discussion or perhaps a mere farming account who doesn't have anything useful to say in the community.

For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year. A Legendary member who hasn't posted in the last year would still be Legendary, but would not have any spendable merit.
2356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone know when fairlay is going to be fixed on: December 26, 2020, 05:10:00 AM
It seems that the website is currently having DDos attack making their players unable to withdraw their funds. I tried visiting their website and it looks like that the administrators is trying to fend off the ongoing attack..

Also, you might want to move your thread to the Gambling Discussion board to let them know about fairlay's current issue.
2357  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia Christmas gift on: December 26, 2020, 04:16:15 AM
There are also digital artist that prints in lenticulars such as Wizyakuza (popular for his 3D feel art). And if you are free, you can try using Fiverr, as you already have established many past artworks which can be used as your portfolio.
I am very much familiar with Wizyakuza and that's where I got the idea of lenticular printing of bitcoin inspired digital artworks. Luckily though, I was also able to have a short conversation with him through facebook messenger to ask where did he print his digital artworks. Maybe this coming year I will be making a custom bitcoin digital artwork and create an auction similar to what OP did in his mini bitcoin comics.

As for those websites you have mentioned, I still don't feel like creating an account with those freelancing sites and I am not certain to build an image as there is some pretty stiff competition out there. Moreover, I don't think that bitcoin inspired artworks will be easily recognized on their platforms.
2358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1inch exchange token claim on: December 25, 2020, 02:23:08 PM
This kind of airdrop isn't the same with Google forms style. The criteria is for contributions through trading and liquidity. You need to spend a lot of gas if you wanna earn provided that it's not guaranteed.

I've just do a trade to have record for the tx simple as that. Knowing it could have an airdrop a bit later so indeed it is. Boom money printing. But those who were earlier have more tokens probably.
To be precise, instead of an old process of filling up various cryptocurrency airdrop form, you need to have an existing cryptocurrency swap that takes place on the decentralized exchange aggregator? So in this case, I only need to have a total of 20 USD worth of trades in order to be eligible for 1inch tokens isn't it? I've also noticed that this is something similar to the UNISWAP exchange where I traded some of the ICO token I've received last month.

It's pretty rewarding especially for those people who created and connected a bunch of trust wallet in their exchange.LOL
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1inch exchange token claim on: December 25, 2020, 01:21:16 PM
More like incomplete. But I think OP is just glad to inform us about the 1inch airdrop. Technically if someone knew of the condition before, Im sure many have traded before 24th using a lot of wallets. Thumbs up to the team disclosing it a bit later.
Just curious though! Where did you get those airdrop information beforehand? Most of the telegram airdrop I am currently in seems to be missing that particular 1inch token and does not offer a lot of information for publicity. There must be some kind of hidden channels who are pretty much disclosing those valuable airdrops.

I am not a fond of these airdrop due to unprofitable experiences before. However, I am now having a bit of interest to examine and do some of their activities to be eligible with this kind of giveaways. I feel a bit of regret for not participating  Huh
