There’s a lot of good players as well on MPBL and so underrated so this can still be hard ball for Marc but I also believe that there’s a good offer at a lesser pressure that’s why he choose to accept it. He’s still healthy and love to play basketball, its good that he accept it because MPBL has been the place for the players from PBA.
Marc Pingris still can play competitive basketball, the only thing that taken him aback in coming back to the PBA is the practice where he has to allot a lot of his precious time. Maybe in the MPBL, he has an agreement with the management that he would practice only on a minimal basis which I think is unfair to those young players who work hard but are not given ample playing minutes some game time. |

I think it was allowed by the Philippine government to raise money during the pandemic.
However, it turns out to be very lucrative for the people behind as there are many Filipinos who are hooked into it and become addicted. So still just like any gambling platform, it has good and bad effects.
I'm not sure though if the bill will passed in the legislative Congress of the Philippines. There are two many powerful personalities in any gambling because of the huge money involved, just saying.

Meron akong spare na cash na gusto ko sana pagalawin. Most of my friends nag Axie na din (ROI na sila) kaya medyo nafefeel ko na left-out ako. Given the fact din na long-term din ang axie, parang inevitable mag-ROI ako kahit around 3-4 months. Do you guys recommend na pumasok ngayon? Natatakot lang kasi ako na baka onti lang ang burning mechanism ng SLPs which might affect its price sa future.
Sa aking palagay, magtatagl pa tong Axie so pwede pa talagang pumasok dito pero sana mag-aral ka muna kung anong build/composition ng team mo para ma-maximize mo yong SLP na mapa-farm mo kasi kung normal teams lang din yong kukunin mo ay matatagalan kang mag-ROI. Speculation ko lang to na magtatagal pa ang Axie, maari ding mali ako so better to DYOR pa rin kabayan. |

For me, I would rather see Christian playing in B-League rather than staying on his team that he is only criticized by the fans. In B-League, it's more competitive and the most important thing is the salary is way bigger than what he is making with the PBA.
Yes, there are offers for C-Stan to play in Japan but due to FIBA rules on Asian import, he may not play on the B1 League but rather on the B3 league which pays at least $36K per month, very much lower than B1 League players/imports received. But his playstyle fits on that kind of league though so this might be the last conference Christian will play in the PBA. Stanhardinger, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound hybrid affectionately called C-Stan, only qualifies as a "world import" in Japan, relegating him to the B3.
Per a FIBA edict, Asian imports hooping in the B1 and B2 League must hold a passport and are qualified to play for the national team of their Asian country of origin. Standhardinger has played for Gilas Pilipinas is the past, but only as a naturalized player.

After that second knockdown, Porter doesn't have the legs anymore to continue competitively so that's a good decision by the father to stop the fight. Damn, lost my bet but that's okay as the fight was very exciting and personally I have Porter leading the scores going into the 10th round. I did bet on Crawford winning by KO at the last minute:  I just thought that if someone is going to knockout Porter, it could be Crawford. Bud's power is underrated, but I see the fight like the Jeff Horn in which he always tag Horn coming in. And this is what happen in this fight, yes, Porter has some moments, but Crawford is just waiting for the right time to counter and score a knock down. Wow, congrats mate, that's a good win. I didn't see it coming as i think that Porter could take Crawford's power shot. I would say Crawford by decision, we've discussed this many times already, Porter is not an easy boxer to be knock out and if Crawford is the favorite in this fight, he should win by decision.

Maybe a better idea would be to have some of the fights that are not really that popular on this thread and have the rest of the fights that attract a lot of fans have their own thread, as people are going to want to discuss every single detail of those fights.
This is a great idea because there are a lot of boxing matches that we missed and not create threads about them because of the thought people might not want to engage in giving speculations as the fighters involved are not so popular. To me this seems like the best compromise, as it is inevitable that people are going to create threads for those fights and that the discussion is going to be concentrated there as it would be more readable for the average member a thread like that than a thread that is full of discussions about different fights.
For me, fights involving Canelo, Teofimo Lopez, Loma, and other big names deserve to have a thread of its own as there are a lot of discussions and speculation as they are well known and many are following them. |

Romeo is good but his attitude in court might be a big problem if ever he plays on Japan. Look what happened to Thirdy where he get sanctioned from his own team because of his bad behavior, well Romeo didn’t accept that for a reason most probably his management didn’t approve that. If Romeo will play on Japan, I hope to see a younger Romeo where he plays with a lot of motivation and with a good respect to other players as well.
That incident involving Thirdy Ravena was just an isolated case as the guy is not known for that, it's just a burst of emotion that he's the reason why they lose that game, surely he would learn from that experience. Have read an article saying that Romeo and Bolick are the players that scouts from Japan really wanted because of their skills but I think that would not happen because both players have existing contracts with their mother teams. For sure Romeo's attitude will change if ever he played in Japan as he has nowhere else to go if ever no more teams pick him up because of that reason. |

I can see nothing special with Ilunga Makabu. The man may be bigger and heavier but I guess Canelo is very much in his peak right now. I think Canelo can dismantle this boxer easily. Compared to Caleb, I think Makabu is the easier opponent. This man might only end up being a punching against Canelo. Since he has a bigger body, he will just become a bigger and easier target. Canelo's power is a destroyer. Makabu will likely end up knocked out.
That remains to be seen because Makabu will be fighting in his comfort zone and obviously he is the bigger and heavier fighter. As I said, Canelo seems to be having problems fighting with heavier fighters, in fact, on one occasion it's stipulated in the contract the fight weight (forgot the opponent) so the opponent can't go bigger during the fight. Nevertheless, it's a good move for Canelo to push himself because there is not many fighters to fight in the Super Middleweight division. |

Great decision by Canelo Alvarez, moving up gives him a better opportunity to prove that he can become a champion in a high division. There's nothing for him to prove since he is already an undisputed champion in his current division.
There is nothing for him in his current division as GGG will likely lose in his fight with Murata this December . Makabu poses a legit threat to Canelo's career as the former is much bigger than him and as we all know Canelo seems to have a problem with heavier guys. This fight will happen in May as the highlight of Cinco de Mayo festivities. |
