2341  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 09, 2016, 06:47:49 PM
All the vanity addresses are like : 1NAMExxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is there a way that we can generate addresses which end in the desired way ?

For example : 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxNAME

If it is possible then whats the command line for windows?

If you dont use a GPU you can search for regex, the $ symbol means "at the end". Dont use the keys (obviously).

Code:
>vanitygen64.exe -r NAME$
Pattern: NAME$
Address: 1Lo79wpQy3QVZePzEaL818F1uhXLC2NAME
Privkey: 5JdvX473jNfr2LaYxsETj91E8aC1eiy17xAWkSTZ9g5om1dNLby

anywhere also works (and is obviously easier):

Code:
>vanitygen64.exe -r NAME
Pattern: NAME
Address: 1EpHNAMEFohF8UF9pmuGSLdNtSyc41CkEn
Privkey: 5J5fDUtVSiAwofjxpRcSKikhZzLjSSWbiE9kcPVyM4Lhhx7HrW6

You can also use more complex patterns.

Code:
>vanitygen64.exe -r [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Pattern: [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Address: 19VJ8Pmd5MB4EFJ2ovYX8nurgWiDeAA11
Privkey: 5KWwwpWcKhKcJPgePWCzeM6XKr3cZsTDTuRXiPQCM9HR1b6AaY2

Pattern: [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Address: 1QAkUcikHoeAGgzeg21BMFx627mfntAa11
Privkey: 5KiP18jvZotGWnPWRwXda9TJgKyzhQi48evVv7wMgX4144rcnrq

The vote was called stupid and I agree with CIYAM. There will be nothing learned from the results because we cant know whether a single person voted 10 times.
2343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: will this transaction ever get confirmed? on: March 09, 2016, 05:34:10 PM
The node I currently have online doesn't know about it either. If it's yours, push the raw transaction here or here

I can't I keep getting error : Unable To find all tx inputs [1eb7da618e2adc0393ef6163ef40d431cdf90834fbb9a20c9fa72390b3ed04b5]  in blockchain.info
and
There was an error pushing your transaction to network! in blockr.io

Can anyone push it for me.It has to go either side.

Here is the raw transaction :

Code:
0100000001b504edb39023a79f0ca2b9fb3408f9cd31d440ef6361ef9303dc2a8e61dab71e010000006a47304402206c815362bcf0e03e043d74ccfde307e6b886f8999ee22804af7b8fd180cd5ac70220312babf11e153340eec4e14ad5e49d3092489133eaaa6c2010b0fca34e4519d201210235c875d53b08e8e07fa5e749d406b9cf33ec8f9b5ae598f4273a9e72ecaf47e9ffffffff0200366e01000000001976a914124e3370a2d92248ccb2af00f370dde8de03ce9688aca2d4df48000000001976a914d54e4bd96435dd80bb5964be406c83c07184c3ad88ac00000000

Looks like the input (essentially the coins) your transaction wants to spend is unconfirmed and mostly forgotten as well.

I want to sell a cracker software (non-malicious).
-snip-

Can you be more specific?

-snip-
i think cracked software would be called illegal
-snip-

Not everything that breaks encryption is illegal everywhere and under all circumstances.
I have a ZIP Cracker which uses brute force and dictionary attack to get back the lost passwords of zip, rar, etc compressed files.

Oh, i misunderstood... I tought you were talking about cracked software, but it was software used to crack Wink

I think this one will probably be OK, especially if you wrote the software yourself.
Offcourse, you'll have a hard time convincing people it's completely clean, but if it is, you have nothing to worry about.
Just to clarify, I didn't write the software but i am willing to sell it for Bitcoins. It is a paid software.

Well, violation of ToS is considered untrustworthy by some (e.g. Vod marks those selling Microsoft keys). Not sure if this would apply here or if you have rights the resell the software. It is not against forum rules though as theymos explicitly stated that the staff will not enforce ToS. I cant tell if someone would mark you for it.

sent to CoinPayments.NET for bill payment. Bill is paid tho now, I have not resend it.

Hmm, it might be someone trolling you. The TX can be rebroadcasted by anyone that has it in its a raw format. How long did it take until the TX appeared again? Do you can have coin control enabled in core? Im thinking a double spend on one of the inputs[1] with a high fee might help.

True, few people use anything less than DT1 because it's default or something.

Default is level 2, and well there are more than 10 levels of DT(in a way) but you can't set your level higher than 4

Can we keep this thread on the topic of MZ please. I get excited there are news every time you bump the thread.

and i forgot to change the address thats why i give possitive feedback in his account because he gave back my bitcoin given by microguy..
Now bitcoinboy12 account sold by my friend last month and i want to remove the negative trust from the account of bitcoin boy..

if you are not satisfied with this answer please give a way how to prove that i am not nickaizoku...

You cant, you used the same wallet. It makes no difference whether you are two differen people so close that you share a wallet or one and the same person. If you two share a wallet, how can you "loan" eachother money?

Also, why the new account?
i made new account because i am fear to give negative trust and remove from signature campaign.

will it ever be confirmed by the network?

At 44 satoshi per byte fee it should confirm quickly if it would get broadcasted again. Let me see if one of my nodes knows about it. Nope, neither has it. Is it yours?

@eternalgloom

But that means that the nodes could actually tie a transaction to the IP address that sent the transaction, right?
Not necessarily. Maybe another node relayed it to the node that relayed it to Blockchain.info. You can't know this. Even if you found the node which first received the transaction, it is not like the node operator would freely give you the information for any reason.
Yeah indeed, that sounds pretty logical. I guess one could, in theory, run a huge amount of nodes to de-anonymize part of the transactions, but this would probably not be feasible.
If I'm not mistaken it's somewhat comparable to running exit nodes for the Tor network and use them to de-anonymize the traffic.

Its even easier, you can just use a Tor browser to connect to one of the services[1] that broadcast transactions for you. I havent tried it over, but at the very least blockchain.info (via their hidden service) will allow it. If you want you can create a new account, post the raw TX in tech support or send me a PM and I (and probably others) will broadcast it for you ASAP. IPs are very easy to detach from transactions.

@SebastianJu

When it would become a deterministic one, maybe at least as an option, then it would be even more attractive in my eyes. I would not like having to use an old backup only to find that some addresses can't be recovered because the backup doesn't include freshly created bitcoin addresses that might already hold coins.
Backups should be frequent in these cases or you need to properly use coin control and control the input && change address each time.

I already control it all the time and do regular backups though the standard wallet is different with its creation of new bitcoin addresses. It might happen that an error slowly comes into a wallet, you make backups and backups and only then realize the error. You try to go back but the last backup that does not contain it is pretty old. Happened with electrum at least once so a deterministic wallet is another form of backup that would protect the basic things in a wallet on top of backups.

AFAIK core plans to make the wallet HD in the long run.

Hei,

I recently tried to prune my blockchain - it worked great! - but after it, when I switched back to full blockchain, I run into some problems.

One of several possible explanations could be that pruning alters the wallet.dat.

Does anybody know more?

Which problems? AFAIK the only "problem" that is expected is that you have to redownload the blockchain.

Awesome shorena,

I have done that and it has taken off the transaction in my wallet, I will leave the wallet alone for a few days now.

I am guessing the transaction will fail and disappear from the network? (just worried about it disappearing in the future?)

Since it pays no fee this is the most likely outcome, yes.

Thanks for your help, I know it sounds weird coming from someone who was such an early adopter of the coin, but it has never come up before and I wanted to make sure of what was going on lol.

Well the requirements changed over time and it has become very difficult to get a transaction without fee confirmed.

Well this should be easy to implement, the forum already does this with certain domains such as ones that end in .tk

But as whywefight said, you should request this for the new forum, I think it will be live in two or three months so i dont think we should waste any time implementing anything new here

Really? Interesting... didn't hear of this. I wonder what all the accounts will be worth then that account traders collected on the old forum. Cheesy

Yeah certain links are replaced by [suspicious link removed] or something similar. Its mainly used for those link shorteners that are against the rules AFAIK. I dont see a problem to add *bitcointaIk* to that list.

That's good to hear too though my previous answer was more directed at your second paragraph. I'm sure there are a lot of account traders holding a stash of many bitcointalk accounts. I wonder if they will be worth something anymore in the new forum.

Oh, yeah I missed that. I dont think it will change much as all posts and ranks will be migrated to the new forum AFAIK.

Besides that, it would be pretty fast to add this link then. Actually I'm surprised that that domain was not snatched before. It is a very old blackhat trick to replace these 2 letters.

It should be, but maybe theymos didnt see this thread yet.
