Breaking News!

Having only been Lyon coach for about a month, it is reported that Fabio Grosso has been fired as of today. This is very surprising news and I think this is a difficult decision because Lyon is still stuck in the relegation zone until week 12. Management seems less than happy with the results given by Fabio Grosso and they feel they have to end this partnership sooner than targeted in beginning.

I don't know whether this is the right decision or not for Lyon, but as one of the big teams in Ligue 1 they should prioritize more important things because there is no way they want to be relegated this season. On the other hand, for Fabio Grosso it seems that this is quite a regret to hit him and if he were still at Frosinone he would definitely still be the coach of a team.

Galatasaray vs Manchester United

What comes to mind is that this is an important determinant of victory for both teams to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the round of 16 and what happened in this match was a momentary moment in time. Still can't believe that Manchester United, who were already ahead with 3 goals, managed to be chased by Galatasaray and at the same time closed the match with a 3-3 draw. This proves that even winning by 3 goals does not allow Manchester United to win safely and that is a mistake that they should have corrected long ago.

Manchester United's chance of winning suddenly disappeared and I felt that their performance in that match was quite good, but it's just that Andre Onana didn't perform optimally to guard his goal. Andre Onana looked annoyed after the match ended and threw his gloves. Galatasaray's match proved that they are still worthy of fighting for second place in the group stage. Well, it's hard for me to digest what happened but it was a good match with all the drama that happened on the pitch.
I saw Onana wasn't concentrating very well, with two free kicks from Hakim Ziyech going into the net and that's one of the things Onana didn't do well and he should have anticipated better, but he made a mistake the second time, that's unlucky.

How could Man United not have won if Onana had done a good job but what happened the blunders still happened and this in an important match where Man United almost qualified for the next phase but had to disappear even though there was still a chance but it was still thin and we never thought there was more magic in the last match.

Quite sorry to bet on Man United as well, having to draw a game that could have been won. Ahhh Embarrassed
There are too many things that Andre Onana cannot do well and while other players are on fire, he still fails to carry out his duties as the final doorstop for Manchester United. The fans are certainly very upset with this result and maybe they have stopped hoping for their favorite team. Manchester United's last match is impossible to win because the opponent is Bayern Munich. On the other hand, they also have to hope that the Copenhagen vs Galatasaray match will end in a draw if Manchester United wants to advance from the group stage.

Just being able to win against Bayern Munich is a miracle, plus the uncertain results of the Copenhagen vs Galatasaray match will also make their chances of being eliminated higher. Well, this is a very complicated situation for Manchester United and they seem to have fallen at the bottom of a cliff and will not be able to come back safely.

Lens were demolished by Arsenal in the Champions League by a score like 6-0 last night. They are still most likely to move on in the Europa League from now on though. But I'm curious about whether this big loss will affect their morale too much in their next Ligue 1 game. They actually have a good opportunity to make up for it.  Grin

Because their opponent this time is Lyon in a home game. We all know how bad Lyon have been so far. Lens have been in a good form in the league recently as well. Therefore I feel like Lens will make a good effort and increase their winning streak to three games.
I think this defeat will not have any effect on Lens' performance in Ligue 1 and they will still focus on maintaining their existing winning trend. Maybe they lost to Arsenal in the Champions League but they also did the same thing in the first round by beating Arsenal. Even though there is only a slot left in the European league, at least it is still better than not continuing the competition at all in Europe.

Lyon is not an obstacle that will stop Lens and I don't think Lyon is still able to make it difficult for Lens to keep getting 3 points. Lens must win if they want to overtake Reims and then they will be closer to the top 4. The current Lens is different from the Lens we previously knew at the start of the season and I'm happy to see them back on the right track.

Arsenal bottled the chances they had last season and it was one of them best seasons since they last won the Premier League with Arsene Wenger who made history with the club during his time their with them. Arsenal though at the top was fun and interesting, we saw too many of them fans boasting when they've not won the Premier League already. They're more better last season then they're this season. They make some good significant signatures who've all been helping the club. They'll have to invest more and bring in two to three more if they're eager to win the Premier League. Arsenal aside, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have done well so far that doesn't count because it's consistency that matters.

It was an unforgettable season and how Arsenal competed with Manchester City was very interesting to watch. But all that momentum was lost after Arsenal experienced a storm of injuries and they lost one of the important players in the back line at that time, namely William Lintasa, who was injured until the end of the season. Arsenal's defense became weaker and easier for their opponents to penetrate, then Manchester City exploited this inconsistency to top the standings last season.

Well, celebrating early is sometimes not good because anything can still happen, especially for players who suffer injuries that are also unpredictable. I see that Liverpool is better prepared this time than last season for the title competition and for Spurs they must first fix the existing problems, especially since they are also going through a difficult time after several of their players were injured, so their strength is also slightly reduced.

How Ajax moved from becoming a strong team even in international competitions to a a very week side that have not won any match in the group, still baffles me. Today they will face the French side Olympique Marseille who are even at the top of the group. I don't see them getting a draw tonight as Marseille will not show any sign of mercy for the Dutch side.

The strong match I see in that group is that between Brighton and Athens of Greece. Brighton have to dare the impossible to be able to win the match as they already lost their first leg at home.
Ajax seems like a weak team in this competition and they haven't even proven their capacity as one of the big teams in Europe. But this cannot be separated from their poor performance this season in the domestic league because they were shackled in the relegation zone. However, slowly they have risen in the domestic league, but their chance to qualify from the European league group stage is too late. They must appreciate the opportunities that exist this season and come back again next season. Marseille will close this match with a win and lock the title as group winners.

For Brighton and AEK Athens, maybe Brighton will get their revenge in this second round because they need 3 points if they want to lock up 2nd place in group B and at the same time dash AEK Athens' hopes of qualifying for the next round.

Union Berlin this season seem to be suffering a fate that I personally can't tell the exact root cause but then the obvious looks like an effect from the change of coach, they seem to be yet aquinted well enough with this coach and his style so most players are still finding it difficult to cope but then they have still got good quality.

Leverkusen on the other hand continually keeps the maintaining their spot at the top of the league table with their points difference been a bit more that it was from Bayern Munich who happens to be the most fierce contender this season, it's quite interesting that at this point Bayern Munich is yet to be at the top of the table, which indicates that there's possiblity there could be a change in the leagues dominance this season.
I don't understand what you mean, hasn't Union Berlin experienced a complicated season since the start of the season with coach Urs Ficsher? and even though their coach changed just a while ago, I think it's natural that the results are still the same as before because coach Nenad Bjelica also needs progress with the other players so they can adapt to the strategy he gave. It's not easy for Nenad Bjelica because he will be responsible for the results obtained by Union Berlin in the remainder of the season and at least being able to save Union Berlin from the relegation zone is already a good achievement.

The difference in points between Leverkusen and Bayern Munich is only 2 points and in my opinion that is not much because if Leverkusen suffers one defeat then their position will immediately be shifted by Bayern Munich. Leverkusen have been impressive this season and almost no team can stop them.

~snip~

Ittihad FC will be played against Al Khaleej in the 15th match and not only because Al Khaleej is a fairly weak team this season but in every meeting between the two teams, Al Khaleej teams have never once managed to beat Ittihad FC so this match will be a certainty for Ittihad FC to get three moreover this is a home match for them.
The difference in player quality will be clearly visible in this match and Al-Ittihad should secure full points in the home match. They also just won the Asian Champions League competition and that will also increase their confidence. So far Al-Ittihad is still shackled in the Saudi league because from 5 matches they have only been able to get 1 win so they have wasted a lot of points.

Al-Ittihad should have been able to get close to Al-Nassr's points if they succeeded in wiping out the points in the previous few matches, but they failed to do so. Against Al-Khaleej, they have to convince the public that they are still the defending champions of the Saudi league and their job will be more difficult every week because the gap with Al-Taawoun, Al-Fateh and Al-Ettifaq is not too much different.
2348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 30, 2023, 02:05:23 PM
Sevilla are nearly officially out of the Champions League and Europa League both. Because their last game is an away one against Lens which won't be easy for them at all. They have to win that game to continue in the Europa League at least. I think Sevilla won't be able to achieve this either because they couldn't even beat Lens home before.

After the Champions League games are completed Sevilla can at least concentrate on their La Liga games not to relegate from the league. Because from this point they seem to be in big trouble. Like I said before they shouldn't have sacked Mendilibar that easy after winning the Europa League title with him.  Sad
It's hard to believe that the European league kings have ended so quickly and indeed the defeat at home to PSV should not have happened. Sevilla should have won that match but they conceded easily and even lost dramatically in the added time. Sevilla are still experiencing difficult times even though they have changed coaches and they are also unable to produce better results in any competition. I also regret the dismissal of Mendilibar, even though he is the coach who led Sevilla to win the title last season and it seems that the management's decision was not the right one after being proven by this minor result. It looks like they have to get back to the main job in La Liga and that's all that's left at the moment.
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 30, 2023, 01:52:56 PM

Yes, Juventus really benefits from only having a schedule for domestic competitions. The player's fitness level is greater when compared to other teams competing in Europe. Massimo Allegri certainly has to maximize his squad to continue to maintain its position at the top so that the target of winning the Scudetto is also more open. I believe the Old Lady's chances are greater if you look at their schedule, other competitors like Inter might find a busy period where they will lose control in Serie A.

yes but they are also losing a lot of money in rights and this will sooner or later be reflected in next season
therefore they must try to capitalize on this unfortunate condition as much as possible and take maximum advantage
the minimum is to go to the champions league
Juventus could seize all the opportunities available, including winning the Scudetto again and I think the main achievement they have to do is be able to maintain their consistency. It is not easy to be at the top with such tight competition and therefore they cannot be careless in the slightest when other teams are still busy with other European competitions.

Being able to get a place in the Champions League next season is one of Juventus' priorities and they have to do it right. Now it's just a matter of how they can survive with all the current problems because we know they are not okay with the other problems of their players like Pogba or Fagioli. Their finances will always be eroded if they encounter more problems and that is not good enough if they want to gain strength in the transfer market.

Salah is a no-go area for the Saudi Pro League now not when he still gets his relevance from the English league. One thing I have noticed with the english leagues is competitiveness and popularity. Because the huge investments that the europe is putting into the soccer games, it has made it very popular amomgst other leagues in the world. It is always a dream come through for most players to get featured at the UEFA Champions League. It is because of this that I heavily think that it is impossible for Salah to live for the SPL now.
I still remember Mohammed Salah's disappointment when Liverpool did not participate in the Champions League this season and he will definitely try hard to bring Liverpool back to Europe's highest competition. That's why I think Mohamed Salah has an important role at Liverpool and Jurgen Kloop definitely wants the Egyptian player to stay. Going to the Saudi league is a good goal but Mohammed Salah is still at the highest level performance-wise and he is still not finished like other players who have gone to Saudi league teams. I feel that Mohammed will stay at Liverpool at least until he is satisfied with his achievements so far.

Several big European teams are interested in getting Leverkusen's young talent to sign a contract. Some of these teams are Real Madrid, Liverpool, Duo Manchester, and Bayern Munich. It looks like it will be fierce competition to be able to secure the services of this talented player and considering that he is still only 20 years old, the costs will certainly be very expensive. On the other hand, it is possible that Bayern Munich has the best chance of getting Florian Wirtz's signature.

As a player with two different positions, AMF and winger definitely makes the team he strengthens more dangerous. Statistics so far Florian Wirtz has scored 6 goals and 10 assists in all competitions. Whoever manages to get him will definitely be very lucky, but Leverkusen also hopes that Florian Wirtz will stay until 2025, especially since he is still a key player for Xabi Alonso.

If you compare these two teams, of course Nice is still quite consistent for now because they have never been defeated in Ligue 1 and so far Nice is still at the forefront to disrupt PSG in the race for the title. However, I see that Monaco has a little problem in their team, namely their defense is not very strong this season. But the season is still long and these two teams still have a chance to occupy the top of the standings, but that is very unlikely because PSG will not provide space for them.

Nice is only 1 point behind PSG and they have been quite consistent so far. It's possible that Nice will swap places in the standings table with PSG if PSG loses points in the upcoming match. Monaco will most likely be targeting a top 4 ranking this season and they must be able to improve their performance because the teams below them are starting to pose a threat to them such as Losc, Reims and Lens.
For now it looks like this is the case in Ligue One, but we also have to look at the quality of the two teams as a whole, between Nice and PSG.
The Nice team just needs to maintain consistency while hoping that PSG will make many mistakes this season so that they can win the title, but this is difficult to happen because the PSG team has made quite positive progress since now and when compared to the start of the season the PSG team has experienced quite significant improvements.
Ligue 1 will forever only be a farmers' league because even though PSG experienced bad results, they managed to recover and started to displace other teams in the top flight. The instability of other teams is also worth asking why they are like that and in fact it is the same as allowing PSG to move freely without obstacles towards the top of the standings.

Nice is PSG's closest competitor so far and although they are the team that has conceded the fewest goals, there are times when they cannot maintain this. Moreover, the average win achieved by Nice is always with 1 goal in each match and there is a very high risk of a draw or comeback defeat.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 29, 2023, 02:08:05 PM
Even though they just won against Fiorentina last week, this result was still not enough to motivate Milan to win again at the San Siro and they lost in the Champions League group stage match against Dortmund. I feel that this team is not ready and is not fully back after the bad week they have had and Pioli is definitely having a headache thinking about the performance of his players.

On the other hand, they must continue their good results in Serie A and also maintain their place in 3rd place so that they are not displaced by Napoli. The next match is still a home game for Milan and their opponent is this season's promoted team Frosinone. They should be able to win this match and if they draw or lose then they have to be prepared to be thrown out of the top 4 zone temporarily because other teams like Roma or Bologna will also be getting closer.
Not as usual, Milan lost when competing in front of their own supporters. Even though in the previous match at UCL, Milan was able to beat PSG at the San Siro. So yesterday I thought that Milan would also succeed in beating Dortmund at the San Siro. But the position as host also does not guarantee that Milan will win again. And I think Dortmund have really improved their performance at the moment so that they are surprisingly leaders in UCL Group F.

But I hope Milan will be able to play against Frosinone. Because if we look at the Head To Head between Milan and Frosinone, we can see that Frosinone has never won even in the last 5 meetings with Milan. So in this match I think betting on Milan will be much better. But Frosinone's strength this season is different from when Milan last met in the 2019 season. Because in that year Frosinone was in their worst condition. I think Milan should not underestimate this match. Because Milan also has to get full points in this match to be able to maintain its position in 3rd place in the standings.
I also thought that, but unfortunately this time they couldn't do anything when facing Dortmund. The first round meeting ended in a draw and actually that was good capital to be able to win at home, but what happened was the opposite and they had to suffer defeat.

Talking about H2H, this will certainly convince bettors to place bets on Milan winning and despite Frosinone's worst season that year, there is still no way Milan will lose this match. But Milan's level of vigilance must be increased even when facing a weak team like Frosinone.

Reportedly Al-Ettifaq is planning David De Gea's move to the Saudi league and of course they will have a great goalkeeper to start in the middle of the season. Previously there were rumors that David De Gea would not go to the Saudi league because his wife did not agree to the move and it was possible that David De Gea would be closer to joining Inter Miami in MLS. But things can still change and the player's decision will be the determining factor in this transfer. Even though it is still in the trying stage for Al-Ettfaq to bring in David De Gea, it is certain that the popularity of the Saudi league will increase even more with the arrival of European players.

Source: https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1729644087064801655

LOL.. football players are losing out because of their wives and girlfriends. Even in case of Lionel Messi, the reason why he chose Major League Soccer over Saudi Professional League was due to the insistence of his wife (Antonela Roccuzzo) who was reluctant to move to Saudi Arabia. Now David De Gea becomes the second player who is choosing MLS over SPL due to the same reason. I just hope that these players don't regret about it later in their life. Their careers are almost over and SPL represented the final opportunity to get a big fa retirement package.
Indeed, something like this is not the latest because last summer Messi almost joined Al-Hilal if only his wife would allow him to continue his career in the Saudi league. The role of family or wife is certainly very important for a player's career and sometimes these players cannot do anything when everyone has to obey their respective wives. David De Gea could make a lot of money like other European players who have already joined the Saudi league but it looks like it won't be the same as the final decision his loved ones want. Now we can only wait for clarity on this rumor in the future because David Dea Gea is a free agent and at any time he can go to the Saudi League if he has made his choice.

I'm still curious about how Xabi Alonso works in giving roles to their two fullbacks, because Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong have so far contributed fully to goals and assists for Leverkusen. Who would have thought that these two fullbacks have contributed a total of 27 goals in all competitions and most recently they also scored 1 goal each in Leverkusen's win against Werder Bremen last week.

I feel these two players are very rare for their position and as long as they are there Leverkusen will still be productive in the future. But maybe the problem will be that when a team comes to start making offers, it will definitely be very difficult for Leverkusen to refuse them. But as much as possible Leverkusen should reject the offer because they are still on their way to winning the Bundesliga title and perhaps we will see the possibility of both leaving in the summer.

Not just those two but if you look at the start of the players on Leverkusen you can see that  Victor Boniface and  Jonas Hofmann are not really that behind and can also have great fundamentals for this team and the way I see it I think Xavi Alonso is a really great trainer and the teacher even though he is a former player of Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, and doesn't have that kind of record as a player for sure he is a great mentor and teacher as we can see in what he has done with the Bayer Leverkusen, for sure along with Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong, Victor Boniface, and  Jonas Hofmann will also become a great player for this team,
I don't ignore Victor Boniface and Jonas Hofmann because basically they play as attackers and that is clearly different from the positions held by Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong who play as fullbacks. That is their job if they are attackers, but for fullbacks the role of scoring goals is a condition that we rarely encounter.

However, the performance of all these players cannot be separated from the direction of Xabi Alonso who succeeded in uniting this team with more chemistry and it feels like Xabi Alonso's genius is indeed above average and it's just a matter of how he will prove with Leverkusen to win various existing titles.

Manchester United recorded its name in history as the first team in the EPL to successfully keep 500 clean sheets. That is a huge amount for one of the giants of English football and it is all thanks to great performances from legends such as Peter Schmeichel, Van Der Sar and David De Gea. However, the newest goalkeeper, Andre Onana, often receives criticism because he often underperforms and also makes mistakes which makes the Old Trafford public very angry. But thanks to his performance in the last match against Everton, the 500 clean sheet mark was finally achieved and perhaps we should be able to put confidence in this Cameroonian goalkeeper so that every day he gets better, despite all the mistakes he made at the start of the season.
Manchester United undoubtedly has been one of the most successful British clubs in the history of football and I'm not surprised that the most successful club in the English Premier League competition became the first to reach 500th clean sheets in the English top flight. It further tells how good of side they've been in the league since it they began to compete in it over a century ago. The club has also been fortunate to have great shot stoppers in the club which I think is the reason why they were able to achieve this great feat ahead of other English teams.

The list of great goalkeepers that's played for the club is just too numerous but since I started watching football, the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar, David De Gea and the club's current goalkeeper Andre Onana has all been world class goalkeepers. Onana has received a lot of criticisms since he joined the club after making series of avoidable mistakes but in recent games, he's proven that he didn't help Inter Milan to reach the UEFA Champions League final last season by chance but by been good shot stopper.
Since the era of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United has become very respected and the depth of the squad at that time made it almost impossible for any strong team to beat them. They have the greatest goalkeepers in history and that's why they can get the most clean sheets in the EPL. Apart from that, now the era has changed and indeed since Sir Alex Ferguson left, everything has started to change and nothing remains from that glorious era. Now Manchester United has to start from scratch again and as Manchester United's new goalkeeper, Andre Onana must continue this great achievement from his predecessors. Andre Onana has a big task in guarding Manchester United's goal and he must continue this tradition to be at the highest level as a great goalkeeper.

Man, I was almost killed by Luis Enrique's squad because I needed them to score a goal to close my multibet. Sad
It seems like you were almost killed too because you saw that Manchester City was two goals behind in the first half, in the end Manchester City managed to comeback in the second half with three goals while winning the match getting the full three points, solidifying Manchester City at the top of Group G, I don't think that Manchester City managed to make a comeback and it turns out that Guardiola succeeded in pressuring his players to play optimally.

I know it would probably be embarrassing if Manchester City lost at home, that's why in the second half Manchester City gave many surprises to reduce the disappointment of their spectators and fans, especially since you also bet on goals from both clubs, lol I never bet multibet but maybe in the future In the future, I will try multibet betting like you, Btw, congratulations on the win  Grin
Thank you friend, actually I was very happy when Manchester City was two goals behind because then Manchester City would be more aggressive in attacking. Pep Guardiola's squad made an interesting comeback so that the unbeaten record at the Etihad Stadium is still held by Manchester City. Now Manchester City doesn't need to struggle anymore because they will no longer be overtaken by Leipzig and they have become group winners. I was happy to see Haaland score another goal in that match and he currently tops the temporary top scorer list with 5 goals along with Alvaro Morata and Rasmus Hojlund.

It looks like you should try multibet betting because apart from getting very big odds, on the other hand your tension level will also increase. Cheesy

It looks like Lyon's losing trend will continue this week, because their next opponent is Lens. In fact, both teams were down at the start of the season, but Lens got up first and continued to get positive results in every match. In contrast to Lens, Lyon continues to be destroyed and loses opportunities to win and now they are the team that earns points for other teams. I feel that Lyon has no chance of beating Lens with their current form but if they are able to hold Lens to a draw away from home at least that is still good enough than going home with no points at all.
