2341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: October 26, 2017, 08:26:48 PM
It is very possible, one of the ways that often a hacker is there by sending a phishing link to us.

So we should be more be careful of unclear links.
And it's now popular in the forum especially those people that doesn't really know that they are being targeted by those phishers, it's either they are exposing on how much bitcoin they've got or the hackers saw the amount of their bitcoin address has. It's easy to protect our wallets as it can only be hacked if they have our information, login details or private keys. And if you will not enter any of your details into a not familiar website you are fine and also don't just click any unfamiliar links.
2342  Economy / Services / Re: Want to work for a Bitcoin company? on: October 26, 2017, 08:08:07 PM
Are you looking outside USA too? In Europe maybe?

It's on the original post that they are only looking for those people that are located only on or near San Francisco.

Unfortunately we cannot do remote work at this point, so you need to be local to SF.

At first I have a big interest to join their team while reading the first sentence but on the next sentences I lose my interest because I'm not near to their place. But if they have any other job offers for those people that can work for them remotely you can hit me up with your qualifications and requirements.
2343  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc value on: October 26, 2017, 07:50:40 PM
hi all, new in here do all think that the value of btc is going up again?
With it's chart price, yes bitcoin can go up again and will keep on pushing to the top. I will still support bitcoin - original for this matter because there will be another hard fork on November and that is the SegWit2x. I don't know if people keep on pushing too much for another alt coin. Bitcoin will remain and that is going to make the price of bitcoin higher than ever so if I were you people I'll just keep on holding and will still going to push through different obstacles and news that are happening.

I think bitcoin will really go up in the next coming weeks specially with Segwit2x in November. No doubt in my mind that it will touch $8000 before the end of the year. Maybe the price is down, but if you go are going to think about it, the support for $5500 and above is very good, very strong so unlikely to go back to $5000. And with the upcoming Segwit2x, there will be a few challenges ahead but by the end of the year, we will past $7000 mark and going to $8000.

B2x is something that we have to tune in, many are worried on November because of it's real test for the whole bitcoin crowd. If many will just sell all of their B2x, alt coins and other forked coins and will use that to buy more bitcoins then it's really possible to see bitcoin's price touching $8,000 before this year ends. I'm into it but I can wait up until next year so that we can see another good floor price for bitcoin, I don't want to rush with it's price because it can go quickly if that happens.
2344  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: October 26, 2017, 07:35:05 PM
I'm here recently and did not fully understand how it works. Why do some escrow have 0% fees? Does this mean that they will not take money for their services? Thank you in advance.
It's because they just want to help those people to have a successful transaction so they offer 0% fees for their escrow service. They are known and trusted by the bitcoin community so any tip will do, that's the another term now for the fee though it's not actually a fee or payment for their service. But of course as a part of appreciation for their help, it's a good act if both parties will agree to give them tip voluntarily so that next time that you need them then you can have them.
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2017, 07:12:10 PM
Welcome to the world of cryptocurrencies where everything is possible to happen.  Cheesy Those people that are suggesting you to buy bitcoin and said that anytime is a good time to invest to bitcoin are right. Price of bitcoin are quite good and if you'll going to look at it's current price, you may say that it's expensive. But what if on the next months or years to come you'll see it at doubled, tripled or more multiplier to it's price. Do you still consider today's price is expensive? Just buy bitcoin and don't do anything with it, that's a wise move.
2346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Japan Possibly bsn ICO’s on: October 24, 2017, 06:58:21 PM
They have decided to postpone the ban after they saw cryptos has community members like you. they know users like you couldn't do anything harmful, just read your own title. Wink

Do you have the resource for this? I keep on searching on google but the queries are just like the same with the title of this thread. I know it's possible but the thing here is that many are waiting for their announcement that they'll do the exact the same thing on what China did. Because we know that there's a lot of people that are spreading fake news and FUDs to the crypto community and wants to pull some price of bitcoin so that they can buy at dip.
2347  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 24, 2017, 06:38:32 PM
Xapo owner is a well know entrepeneur in silicone valey and  one of PayPal directors. We dont own the private keys but  know to who we are trusting it.

Well its expensive but Security have a price. I never heard before about Electrum wallet to have bunkers spread around different continents to store 85% of coins on coldstorage and a satéllite to do surveillance to website.

Security is the most invested thing in this world that probably the reason why xapo's fee are increased and will never change and go back to the lower ones. I'm into security but it's still better to have the private keys, you know what I mean that we have to hold it. He may be a well known entrepreneur but still it's a normal thing that you need to have the private keys of your bitcoin wallet.

Who os Electrum wallet owner?

2350  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: October 24, 2017, 05:59:19 PM
Financial institutions around the world are embracing Blockchain technology, but Bitcoin is more or less a competitor of them. I don't think it's really possible for the government to regulate bitcoin, but it can probably limit the flow of the currency with restrictions, assuming they have a legitimate reason for it of course.

Government will play a big role for the growth of bitcoin. They may not regulate it but they can control the people who are using it, just like what China did. They stopped ICOs and they can also stop transactions coming in and outside China's territory with crypto's. Technology is the major improvement for businesses and also for the local government bodies, they will just embrace bitcoin just like we are never expecting to happen but we will see it going there.
2351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Middle East Richest Business Man, Won't Invest In Bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 05:28:00 PM
He's even rich enough so he don't want to join the bitcoin revolution and besides he's a ruler to their country so he don't want to pursue people to get into something that's not regulated. I won't blame him with his decisions regarding bitcoin but let's see if their crude and oil will be out of stock they'll finally find some other things that they can make money and bitcoin will be a good choice for them. I respect his decision but it's possible that he'll change his mind.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Burning of Money on: October 23, 2017, 05:09:11 PM
many Economists in CNBC say bitcoin is burning money and they talk about many reason which not understand  it

So what do you think about tha

Burning means losing in other easy terms. Those economists in CNBC you have watched are really exposing themselves to stop people for investing in bitcoin simple as that. Jamie Dimon did helped the price to be at dip and that's the time his company bought a lot of it. And these economists knows the real stand of bitcoin and they don't want to expose it yet because it's either they have personal agenda to buy a lot of it at dip just like the strategy of Jamie Dimon.
2353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 23, 2017, 04:56:48 PM
I have no idea on how many times I've been checking the price of bitcoin everyday. It's part of my life and it's one of my hobby to check it's price on a daily basis. And if you are a crypto person or someone that's trading bitcoin then you have to check the price everyday. This must be done by a day trader because you can't catch up the price if you'll not check it everyday. Wherever we are, we have to check it for updates if the price goes up or it is falling.
2354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Reach 10,000.00 $ on: October 23, 2017, 04:44:11 PM
Chances of seeing bitcoin hitting $10,000 is very possible. Those people who are into bitcoin's earlier didn't even see that $1,000 is coming. I have saw someone posted a throwback picture of a person that has 1,500 bitcoins and he did regret that he never sold his bitcoin at $8 because he sold most of it at $0.8 so that thing is really something that everyone should expect now. They never realized that bitcoin will be growing this fast and now it's the reality that bitcoin can pump at any price.
2355  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Steemit, is it worth it? on: October 23, 2017, 03:37:59 PM
I never had my article into steemit but I'm planning to get into with it when I've got collected most of my article about crypto's. I'm an article writer wannabe and it's a good place where you can share your ideas and in return you've got some rewards. The same site with bubblews as lumeire mentioned, one of my told me about that and I really can see that this is a good place to share knowledge while earning. But it looks like the hardship will be for real if you are really for the rewards there.
2356  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best Online Wallet on: October 23, 2017, 02:35:20 PM
I want to use an online wallet, which one is the most secure and reliable option for me?

The most secure and reliable option for you/us has been mentioned by Lucius, blockchain.info is the most reliable online wallet of all time but it doesn't accept LTC as of the moment. I don't know if they'll soon adopt LTC and make their own wallet for it.

Is there any that supports bitcoin and also altcoin like eth and litecoin etc.
You can try to use coinbase and exodus.
But the bad thing here is you don't hold the private keys for each of those wallets I still recommend you to use wallets that allows you to hold private keys except exodus.

Coinbase is not a wallet, its an exchange. It's never a good idea to store coins at a exchange

I didn't mentioned or said that coinbase is a wallet nor it's a good place to keep your bitcoin. He's looking for a place where he can put his coins and I just considered coinbase must be the one that he's been looking for. I support you that it's never a good idea to keep our coins to an exchange, everything is at risk and we may not know if they will be the next one to be attacked by hackers. I'm not being exaggerated here but it's better to be safe, we have seen bitfinex was breached before.

We are only talking about the security here. Where upcoming forks to the Bitcoin, if you are in control of the private keys you are getting the forked coin, however if you store your coins on an online wallet, they may or may not give you the forked ones. It's their decision.
Talking about the security, they've got good security and it's up to you on how you want to be secure with them. No doubts that every exchange does have their own security and as well as those web wallets but each and everyone of them is at risk. As for the fork, there are some exchange that expressed their support to bitcoin gold (fork) that you'll be getting it automatically as long as you've got bitcoins on your wallets through them. For those web wallets / exchanges that will not show support, it's clear you've got no free coin.

2358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New sophisticated scam in cloud mining, be wary. on: October 21, 2017, 08:14:47 PM
I don't want to visit the link that you have given because I'm not comfortable that they'll be mining monero through my browser and will use the power of my CPU for their hash. It's not a cloud mining, this has been rotating through the internet and if you are aware of it try to check the CPU usage of your computer so that you are aware that the website you've been visiting are trying to mine with your browser and CPU. This is now the replacement of ads, because they can see better revenue with it.
2359  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN END PRICE on: October 21, 2017, 07:57:06 PM
The way bitcoin price has been increasing has been alarming lately and I can say that no other currency has the amount of power that bitcoin has, I can remember vividly sometime during January ( I mean early January) bitcoin was only struggling to reach $1k but now come October, the currency is almost nearing $6k ($5600) to be precise, now I want to ask if there is a mark in which bitcoin will stop increasing or is there  a mark it can't cross.

I can remember that time, I witnessed that hardship of bitcoin surpassing the $1,000 wall and it really took a lot of time before reaching another new ATH. Everyone was expecting before that $1,000 will be reached at the end of December or on the Christmas day but it all happened on January. By the way, bitcoin's price now is $6,000 and there's no way to stop it unless many will pull out their investments to bitcoin which is unlikely going to happen because everyone has a belief on it.
2360  Economy / Speculation / Re: For fun Bitcoin price 6000$ on: October 21, 2017, 07:48:49 PM
I thought this was a raffle one because I've seen before that there are generous members here that are giving some prizes after guessing the right price of bitcoin on a certain date. Still I will guess that the price of bitcoin will be reaching $6,000 by the end November and it can be stable on the mid-month of December. To be specific this is the date of my speculation 30/11/2017 (DD|MM|YY).
speculation is emerging that many say at the end of november will reach $ 6000 but in december bucket will slightly decline in the face of christmas,, that even if we see in previous year and always repeated, so maybe your estimation will be quite correct if we look from price speculation which pops up at any end of the year predictions..

We did hit $6,000 last time and it's possible that we can get up for a better price. $5,000 now is a strong floor price which is good for me and to all of us. Don't expect some higher floor as of the moment but if it's good at $5,500 that's better. And my speculated date was wrong because it happened earlier and we can expect to see greater price on the next months to come and I'm so excited about that, though I'm wrong with my speculation I used to have always wrong speculative guess.  Huh
