If you want to use online wallet try https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/ just because it is one of the oldest and most trusted online wallet. It support Bitcoin and and from recently Ethereum.I use this wallet just for short time and I still have account there, have no complaints and everything is working right.

What it is important that you use unique password when creating your account and to take all the security measures available, online wallets are most vulnerable to hacking. Therefore, if you want to keep your coins safe it is better to use desktop or hardware wallet.

You can try to use coinbase and exodus.
But the bad thing here is you don't hold the private keys for each of those wallets I still recommend you to use wallets that allows you to hold private keys except exodus.

Asking for the best online wallet to store your funds is like an ill person asking for the best faith healer... Sure, there are a couple faith healers out there that can comfort you in your last dying moments, but they won't be able to cure you, any betterment in your condition would be either coincidental or due to the placebo effect.

If you want a secure wallet that support multiple currencies, you can go for a trezor or ledger hardware wallet, or if you don't care about your security, there are a couple android wallets like coinomi or jaxx that will suit your needs.

As for your "faith healer" online wallet, there are wallets like Cryptonator out there, but if you use the search function, most of these multi altcoin online wallets have at least a couple running scam accusations against them. blockchain.info is indeed one of the most trusted online wallets, but they only support 2 coins, and i'm still not recomanding anybody to use them, since they remain an online wallet...

As other recommended blockchain.info is most trusted for now, but only problem is that their code is closed source so we can't really know if they can access users private keys or not. I would recommend using Electrum. I know its not an online wallet but, you don't have to download the blockchain and that is the only reason why would anyone use Online wallets really.

I didn't mentioned or said that coinbase is a wallet nor it's a good place to keep your bitcoin. He's looking for a place where he can put his coins and I just considered coinbase must be the one that he's been looking for. I support you that it's never a good idea to keep our coins to an exchange, everything is at risk and we may not know if they will be the next one to be attacked by hackers. I'm not being exaggerated here but it's better to be safe, we have seen bitfinex was breached before.

Online Wallet are never secure and reliable because you dont have control on them, any time they can ban your account or if any hacking is their your wallet cannot be secure. Their are also limitation of uses of online wallet , some online wallet dont support gambling , if found they will ban your account without giving any reasons.

So it is much better to use the hardware or desktop wallet like Electrum, which is more safe and secure and reliable. You are in control of the private keys of each address and you can use in any way no one is their to question you.

Online wallet? I don't think their are any that are totally secure enough to use if you hold more than even a half a bitcoin in any of them.

Maybe try and go for something that is a downloadable client like jaxx or better yet try exodus.

THey are new but they do the job without having to download the entire blockchain to use them.

We are only talking about the security here. Where upcoming forks to the Bitcoin, if you are in control of the private keys you are getting the forked coin, however if you store your coins on an online wallet, they may or may not give you the forked ones. It's their decision.

It's best to use a hardware wallet, paper wallet or airgapped pc (at least from a security standpoint)...

When talking about security, it goes like this (IHO):
  • Least secure: exchange (my advice: only keep funds in an exchange during the time you need to deposit, exchange and withdraw)
  • Unsecure: decent online wallet (my advice: only keep pocket change on an online wallet, and only during times you won't be able to access your main wallet)
  • Little bit unsecure: cellphone wallet (my advice: don't load these wallets with more funds than you'll spend during a day out, and empty them afterwards)
  • Allmost secure: desktop wallet (my advice: don't keep more than a couple hundred bucks worth of BTC on here)
  • Secure: hardware wallet, paper wallet, airgapped PC (my advice: use these wallets for bulk and longterm storage of your funds)

bit coin core is the best and more secure wallet and it is first wallet to use transactions. by using this wallet we have to keep our public and private keys more secure. so most of the people using this wallet only. and some other wallets also available here to keep bit coin secure in that multibit and armory is the best wallets. they have to keep our bit coin more secure. so we can use bit coin core for always. really it is one of the best and secure wallet.not only this wallets now up coming wallets also more are their in the market so choose one best wallet and keep your bit coin more safely.

blockchain.info is actually better than other online wallets just because they do not store private keys and therefore do no have access. But you do not get the private key either so theres always a risk of you losing your password and seed.

Talking about the security, they've got good security and it's up to you on how you want to be secure with them. No doubts that every exchange does have their own security and as well as those web wallets but each and everyone of them is at risk. As for the fork, there are some exchange that expressed their support to bitcoin gold (fork) that you'll be getting it automatically as long as you've got bitcoins on your wallets through them. For those web wallets / exchanges that will not show support, it's clear you've got no free coin.

The best wallet for your bitcoins that you can trust right now if it is online is really blockchain.info since it is the widely used bitcoin wallet website that promotes better security and anti-fraud online. But I do not really trust other online bitcoin wallets especially those exchange that keeps your bitcoin because it is prone for scam and hacking activities, I prefer hardware wallets especially the most trusted bitcoin wallets these days like Ledger and Trezor. I prefer this wallets because it really secure your coins and it really keeps the private key you have the only issue of it is that it should be purchased but it is really the best to store your coins.

THIS.

I think one needs to understand that there are no completely secure online wallets (because no system is 100% secure). It's best to keep only small amounts of BTC in online wallets (just so you can use it for small purchases), but when storing your "riches," nothing beats the security of an offline wallet-- a paper wallet, or use 'cold storage' (provided that you take extra precaution to keep them secure even from your family members).

I use blockchain.info wallet and I like it so far. Also they have a mobile option with several security levels and encryption which I find very convenient. I totally recommend it. Although I agree with the former answers that also recommend hardware storage for security. That's probably even better that online wallets.

In my opinion, here in the Philippines, the best and mostly used Bitcoin wallet is coins.ph. Aside from it being reliable, it is also a user friendly application that can be downloaded in app store or play store. It also provides didfferent ways to cash in or cash out which is very convinient for the users. Additional service is you can pay utility bills as well. But if your outside the Philippines, I think there are alot options of good and reliable wallets as well.

Please, pay attention to all the advice and don't use online wallets. You need to have your own local wallet, not your keys not your bitcoins.
I would recommend to run a node, if you don't have enough space at least a pruned one. Bitcoin Core works just fine, you need a mobile wallet? Copay is my choice/
