2341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency market is currently a hot spot for whales. on: July 01, 2022, 10:44:13 AM
Whales simply use it as a playground. Even if there is a crash, you cannot rely on price movements. When there are liquidations for longs and shorts, the market takes a big swing to screw as many people as possible.
This is why we have to know the movements of whales, this can be your guide to buy and sell because as we all know, they can really move the market and if you see those trends better to start analyzing and do the necessary action according to that trend. Small investors can still make money here, just be creative and keep on analyzing.
Whale is an imaginary umbrella term used to denote big investors and those who trade in volumes that can influence the market movements. Someone specific it might not be but using that term "know the movement of whales" is a vague one and an incorrect one. You cannot know big market movements before they appear but you can prepare for them. Likewise you can buy at the low price when the market is dropping, hoping that whales will buy and raise the market while selling when it reaches the top.

Dont be fooled by what some users say on the internet, there is always a chance that market might move in opposite direction. Small investors should not get into such talks, they are counter productive, but focus on the long term gain.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you all think on: June 30, 2022, 02:10:35 PM
This question is for those that are into crypto for many years already, does low daily volume means a project is bad? A project with good use case but still very young is now plagued with low trading volume, is this the end or there is hope?.
It essentially means that the trading activity is low. To improve this, the marketing team needs to ramp up itself and start doing promotional stuff on different social media, conferences and online gatherings. Gradually there will develop a group of investors pumping and dumping the coins on a regular basis and the gradual growth of the name of the project.

This is tough for a project that has already gone down and investing in it at this point would not be something I would recommend. Most altcoin projects end up dying out a painful death for it's investors as the developers abandon it and move on while investors are left with bags of junk coins.

If the project is young and the use case solves a problem that actually exists, try to motivate their team and see if marketing can make a difference.
2343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: June 30, 2022, 02:03:19 PM
Some very good coins out there have lost 95% of their value already is it possible to see more down fall? I'm throwing this to those that are present in last bear market, marketcap and volume is over millions of dollars and price is 95% down?  Shocked :I downfall still possible?
With the price of bitcoin going back to 19k and sliding even below, downfall is definitely possible - but this is a price and not a project's downfall.

Specifically giving statement is not possible because every project is unique and prices dont necessarily indicate the current development status of any project. For altcoins, if you have faith in a coin, do invest in it at the low price, but the faith in important.

For bitcoin I am expecting further crash and therefore my suggestion is to put a hold on the buying for sometime and observe the market for further movements. Day trading should be stopped by any newbie at this point.
2344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which crypto will going to explore after this bearish market ends? on: June 30, 2022, 01:59:59 PM
especially when the market has started to gain stability again. and buying bitcoin at a discounted price as it is today is of course the best option. we can see how the history of bitcoin falling from ATH. and after that there will be a bull that takes him running. and always breaking new ATH in the next season.
however, this requires patience in the long run. so not many masters their psychology to survive in investing. The market always gives us a temptation to get out or enter.
It is a continuous cycle and running along the cycle without getting devastated by seeing price changes is the key here. Pro traders see bearish markets a the time to accumulate and newbie take it as the time to panic sell - there lies the difference.

Of course the market will recover but that does not mean that in the bear market one will start moving the new coins because the older owned asset has gone down in price. This is the mistake done by inexperienced traders and those who lack the knowledge of historical charts of bitcoin.

Patience is important and impulsive decisions taken at the wrong point will lead to bad outcomes. While currently the bear trend is strengthening, I do expect even lower prices to appear but recovery will happen as a rule.
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the story of my investment in Bitcoin on: June 29, 2022, 03:41:24 PM
Accumulating smaller fractions over time is also what I would have suggested if you had asked this question before having invested in real. But assuming you did all this in real nothing more can be done at this juncture. I hope you were not high during taking this decision.

That nice feeling you are having is temporary and it will not comfort you when you run out of liquid cash at hand which I assume you are already lacking, hence the loan.

Still I hope you make some money from this investment plan. But taking a loan would be the one thing I would never suggest a fellow bitcoiner to do.

My suggestion would be once bitcoin rises, sell the asset at profit and cash out, payback the loan once you are breaking even or profiting, rethink your strategy.
2346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 29, 2022, 03:31:17 PM
If you can hold on to your nerves and relax without getting panic looking at the charts provoking you to sell then definitely you can gain profits from btc in long run once the prices are revived. The other way is invest some amounts at these dips which will help you more but if you can't then simply hold it.
The downtrend tends to affect people's nerves and also the fact that the prolonged bear market has an effect on both the wallet and the moral of a trader. In such times I feel moving away from the market for a short period of time works wonders. By that time some of your proposed orders will have been completed and you would be delighted to see that you are accumulating the right asset in the right direction.

Liquid money crunch is the problem that one will face in such times. In such cases, just stop buying for sometime and let the market recover. After all you will make money when you sell these assets at the bigger price so you have to wait it out anyway.

The important thing is not to panic sell and exit, that is the test of patience here.
2347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about altcoin market on: June 29, 2022, 03:28:07 PM
The altcoin market is now declining. The green signal of the market is temporary. Because when the market was up, it did not rise from the bottom to the top at once. It took about 2 years to slowly rise to the top. So I think it will take a long time to come down from the top to the bottom. The next bullrun may be in 2024/2025. And the market will remain bearish until the next bullrun. So the altcoin market is likely to go further down.
The bear market reveals what lies under the veil. The truth about altcoins being nothing more than shitcoins in the major numbers and that bitcoin is the only coin worth putting money in becomes evident here. Of course bitcoin will also drop in price but its history clearly shows that it recovers gradually back to its prices and gives its investors good returns on every rise.

The lack of development and mismanagement of funds in majority of newly launched altcoins added to the fact that the mainstream market cannot be compared with altcoins in place of their fiat equivalents makes the entire thing a problem for merchants and hence the low adoption.

Even if bitcoin starts bull run, people should understand that the extent that altcoins might recover is small and hence gradually it is time for bigger and better things.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with daily usability on: June 28, 2022, 03:02:48 PM
Given that Bitcoin is considered a store of value, can you use a cryptocurrency that can guarantee day-to-day usability? How to go to bakeries, fill up the car, travel, etc? Do you know any coins like this?
This is exactly what many altcoins tried to do in the first few years of their inception. However things took a different turn which smashed their optimism. You see, you need merchants accepting an altcoin as payment for that dedicated service. Or they have to start a new chain of services under a name in order to sell their products or services in exchange of that token. Starting this from scratch is a whole different ballgame. Most companies who were raising capital in the first years of ICO craze wanted to do this but after understanding the reality they stepped back and changed their vision to something less daunting eventually dying out.

Such ventures will take time and a lot of investment from the owners to compete with the existing market leaders. Hence it is difficult for a niche group to start this. But maybe in future we will see more adoption in crypto and gradually commonly known merchants will be accepting bitcoin, altcoins and their own specific token as well.
2349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is best Coin Market Cap alternative for shitcoins? on: June 28, 2022, 02:58:41 PM
Poocion is fully dedicated for the shit token and meme token. Mostly of meme tokens were not listed on the CMC has been listed on this site. So many shit tokens creators were also using this site as coinmarketcap alternative. I think that you can try to take a look on it.
I cant believe that there is a site of that name being run on the internet for shitcoins in real. Grin

In all seriousness, these coins are never going to get quoted on CMC or CGecko which means that even searching or attempting to accumulate them over time is a futile venture. Only the bagholders who got those coins at very cheap prices will dump their coins one fine day and the enthusiastic owners will be suffering the losses.

The reputation of poocoin among the shit token users were good enough.

2350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best time of the day to buy Bitcoin on: June 28, 2022, 02:46:54 PM
Does anyone follow the same this practices? or would you mind share your own practices if you have, to help us get an idea where is best time to buy bitcoin.
I am not sure about the "afternoon" part, because this is not like the stock market, bitcoin is traded 24*7 for 365days and hence somewhere or the other it is afternoon.

But I do see differences during paydays and weekends, the former showing a slight bullish trend and the later showing stagnancy or even a bear trend.

To be honest, time of day is not that much applicable to an asset that is traded every second in my opinion. Some others might think otherwise - but I feel it is an oversimplification of trying to fit bitcoin into the already existing fiat asset classes.

For me the best time to buy bitcoin is when it is in the bear market, that is what newbies should keep in mind.
2351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about altcoin market on: June 27, 2022, 02:46:56 PM
Is polka-dot a good price at 7 dollars? This was its price two years ago, do you think that polka-dot can still go down or not?
The main point here is faith and belief in the vision of the creator, if you partake in those, do invest in it at the lowest possible price. It does not mean that the project will give you a profit but your support might be what the creators need. But again do assess the fact that 99% of shitcoins are scams or failures from the start and the creators only hype it to gather the money and bail.

Quote
Have we met the bottom for altcoins or all these are just fake outs? What do you think about altcoin market.
My honest opinion is that the altcoin market is a bigger Wild West than bitcoin is. Almost every coin you find here seems like a shitcoin which is designed by a bunch of 10-year olds and hence does not impart any mature economic visions for me. Furthermore, majority of these are made with the intention of "testing the crypto waters" or plains scams. Hence I stay away from the altcoins as much as possible. I find investing that time in bitcoin has given me much easier decision making and peaceful nights.
2352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: June 27, 2022, 02:39:01 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?
My opinion is that
1.It is a market and there will always be someone buying and someone selling.
2.No price is forever here.
3.The bull nor the bear markets stay forever, but they are continuous cycle.

Hence the above question in the OP title becomes a null one. When we are going to recover from the dump the bull market will gradually start again. But the strange thing is that during a bear market the attention towards that asset declines but again rises during the bull market. It should actually be the opposite if everyone was to make profit.

Truth is that if everyone joined in during the bear market, there would not be so many rekt people. Grin
2353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 27, 2022, 02:35:23 PM
I am not so sure about the altcoins though, their track record is bad and although the top 10 will survive a bear market, how their long term value unfolds is not worth speculating on.

But for bitcoin, one can say with certainty that the future price will be bullish and this bear trend is already seeing a reversal because of the constant movements happening at 20k USD range. We might see a break from these movements towards one direction, whatever it might be, we can handle it like a pro trader if we know how to approach the market in general.

Obviously newbies will panic during a bear market, but knowing that every dip is a opportunity to buy takes time to sink it and so this is nothing different to the veteran traders.
2354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops vs Bounties on: June 26, 2022, 05:19:56 AM
Merit is the main obstacle for members to improve their rank. You need to make a lot of posts and threads in good quality to get enough Merit. For years doing that to rank up from Full Mem to Sr Mem or from Mem to Full Mem. So a lot of users don't have any choice but to stay with sign campaign, earning pitiful rewards with their rank.
Getting involved in the forum discussion will gradually lead to accumulation of merit, it is a grind indeed for many users but the point of coming to this forum should not be ranking up to join a campaign, but to discuss and learn about crypto in general. I can see this from a newbie's perspective to be a daunting task, but merit sources are generous enough and do identify quality posts with tact. Read and try to get involved, it takes time and you might not like it but it works out gradually.

Worse, the bear market also influences the price of bounties and airdrops to drop further even before they are rewarded to the participants.
I will say that bounties have always been like that and airdrops even worse. The only thing that does not change with bear market, is the bitcoin price and hence should be the one being being aimed for.
2355  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation seem like the only option left on: June 26, 2022, 05:13:19 AM
Luna was a horrible mistake - Two of my friends made the same mistake and they have lost trust on crypto.
They are not ready to invest in crypto ever again - they say they had no idea that they will end up in such disaster. But that is how gambling works.
Bitconnect saw its stud days too and then crashed as well. It was promoted like anything specially among low income countries and became a very popular topic of discussion among the common users in the casino trollboxes too. Then there are these social media friend circles where such coins become circle jerk topics and then all buy it like anything.

Eventually they will all lose and the same cycle will repeat after a few years in another name and in another form. The winner is the person running these scams and not the investors. Chit funds and HYIPs/Ponzis exist in real life while LUNA exists in the internet. No difference between them at all.

Regulation will not stop such projects from being popular. If someone willingly wants to get scammed without doing research on the project they are investing in, why will the government force them to stop?
2356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: June 25, 2022, 05:21:42 PM
I will disagree on your last statement. Not every dip is an opportunity. Some dips never recovers.
Altcoins have the habit of not recovering from dips not bitcoin. You can confirm this by looking into bitcoin charts and comparing them with altcoin charts. History will speak for itself.

Quote
So, it depends on the coin in question. If you say a dip for BTC is an opportunity, I may agree with you but the question is, can you tell the dippest dip.
You dont need to find the deepest dip. When the price drops, everyone will flock into to buy, so catching the lowest price is never possible even for a quick trader due to a lot of factors. But buying at a low price near that lowest point is important. You might completely miss the dip, in which case just wait it out. Trading is not about being the best, it is about being consistent with trades.

Quote
What if you buya dip, and it keeps dipping?
A likely scenario during a bear market. If you already bought and spend all your allocated budget then just wait for it to go back up. If you havent spent all your money, keep buying in smaller fractions as it goes down. Note these in a personal chart so you know when you sell how much profit you are making.
2357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing projects before launch on: June 25, 2022, 05:07:38 PM
What platforms or websites do you use to track projects before your ICO? And what criteria do you use to invest in them?
During the crazy days of altcoins which was around 2015-2017 ICO tracking sites became very popular where they used to list upcoming, running and closed coin offerings and there used to be tabulated info about the projects. There also used to be a review and a personalised rating given to each of these ICOs from the site itself.

What they lacked is transparency and legitimacy - these sites used to be paid by ICO teams to hype their projects and get "premium" tags on their website so as to get attention from the incoming traffic.

Hence never use such sites to drive your investments. Do your own research and by own I mean initiated by you, not available elsewhere like questioning the advisors on linkedin yourself. Only then you will get to know how many are just pumped by these advisors and how many are only faking about their advisors.
2358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops vs Bounties on: June 25, 2022, 05:01:42 PM
Both are death now so currently answer is no more money airdrop or bounty. My advice don't spend huge time for participate bounty or airdrops programme and beside follow your real life business or study. Your rank is to low so you can join only social media bounty so 95% bounty is death now. Although try to others way for making money from internet.
Some users of the forum have been attempting to get into every bounty and airdrop possible, this only leads to a waste of time and electricity because these coins will be worth dust in the next few years and they will only be inflated with big but fake promises.

Still such users will not learn their lesson from older members of this forum and continue to do so. The craze behind bounties has currently reduced but it is still there. I dont get why such users dont attempt to improve their ranks gradually and then go for bitcoin paying signature campaigns.

Getting rich is not easy, but needs a clever approach, which is not going to be through bounties or airdrops.
2359  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 23, 2022, 02:25:51 PM
It is impossible to make the regulations of all cryptocurrencies today, which number more than 20k, a month New Listed Coins can reach 1000, maybe an easy regulation is like what Dex does, namely with liquidity, with large liquidity it will make the scam project will decrease.
A government can regulate the amounts coming in and out of an exchange and thereby tracking the KYC of the accounts running those trades. From that a lot of information regarding owned assets, taxation and possible tax evasion could be checked. But for that centralized exchanges need to run under government reins which has not started yet. DEX and how they operate is also vulnerable to government crackdown. But these things should only instill fear in the minds of criminals, average Joes like the major number of users in this forum need not worry.

This is what I feel how regulation will start. In my opinion any change is good for the future. While some people might argue otherwise, the number of scam coins on the market is way more than the number of legitimate projects.

Therefore in future some middle-ground needs to be reached and a type of regulation may happen. How? we have to wait and see.
2360  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 23, 2022, 02:17:34 PM
I would play on a no-KYC casino or those who have a less strict KYC implementations.

Deposit bonuses and cashback are not that important for me since I am not a chronic gambler. Therefore those things are out of the question but I am sure many addicted gamblers depend on these for their quick shot bets when they run out of cash and hence they exist.

Again giving my KYC documents and getting identified with a casino in the future could be bad for any person depending on their local government rules, in that sense I dont think this group will be a large one at all.

After all, the anonymity of crypto gives the advantage to gamblers who want to hide from governments or worse, their spouses. Grin
