2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road bitcoin auction - Australian edition on: November 02, 2014, 01:53:32 AM
I still remember during the last open auction had the btc price tanking. It's like suddenly you introduce so much supply into the open market
2367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Personallized bitcoin address? on: November 02, 2014, 01:49:36 AM
Very tempting. I've always wanted to create one of my own but have avoided till now. Like they say if you know what you are doing then go ahead, else better not
2368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will just atrophe? on: November 02, 2014, 01:09:55 AM
Bitcoin might not earn a niche in the retail part but it sure has its place in the money remittance business. On the accusation to completely  labelled as it scam i think that was rather harsh. 6 years is obviously too long a period especially if you have seen he growth taking place. The recent price drop should also not be taken advantaged of to launch an attack.
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The good bad and the ugly of Bitcoin pseudonimity. on: November 01, 2014, 02:36:24 PM
Nice one. I always maintain the belief that bitcoin is never 100% anonymous, and this article reinforce that statement that i hang on until today
2370  Economy / Economics / Re: German retail bank announces negative interest rates on: November 01, 2014, 02:25:40 PM
This is the first time that I have heard about negative interest rates. I would accept zero but no way it's going to the negative side. Even if you say you have to pay for employees, electricity, paper and other cost to maintain the transaction, i still can't figure out. If the money is lent to a business owner who can invest that would at least turn in positive figure. Unless the currency is already trash and the money can't even be used for anything.
2371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: it happened 6 years ago - Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System on: November 01, 2014, 12:41:39 PM
Why and why didn't i take it seriously back then. Oh never mind. Time to look forward  Wink
2372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNNMoney - Where did bitcoin go wrong? on: November 01, 2014, 12:19:22 PM
Can we take that as a buy signal?
2373  Economy / Economics / Re: 2014-03-02 MoneyNews - "Warning: Stocks Will Collapse by 50% in 2014" on: November 01, 2014, 10:23:15 AM
Yeah we have been talking the same thing all year long. Comes 2015 we'll be again repeating the same issue. I'm not saying that I don't believe that a crash is imminent.  It's just a matter of time but I don't think anyone can precisely predict when it is going to happen.
2374  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: November 01, 2014, 10:18:17 AM
Because the majority of people want to lead a peaceful life and mainly also because we don’t have any other choice or alternative. Fact is fact and this is what we have been taught and programmed into our mind
2375  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: “A Better Store of Value” than the Currencies of Mismanaged Economies on: November 01, 2014, 10:13:51 AM
I dont think anyone right now is saying its "vastly better."  Yes its an alternative, but for the time being its future is very uncertain.  Price could go way way down and stabilize at $100 for all you know.  Until then, its price increase has been in large part due to fraud and manipulation at Gox.

Couldn't agree more. The paper money system is in a mess, we all know that. Since there is no way out, Bitcoin presents another another good option. I wouldn't trust my entire savings into but would rather diversify. Real estate and gold would be the other alternatives
2376  Economy / Economics / Re: This "news" article about printing money is scary. on: November 01, 2014, 10:05:16 AM
When the entity is in a huge mess, sorry to say this is the only way out. The bulk of money ended up with the already rich and the poor get peanuts.
2377  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btcguild being bought out. on: November 01, 2014, 09:38:52 AM
First i thought it was forced to shut down by certain agencies but at least for now i know it's being bought out. I'll just wait for conformation on the news.
2378  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we give respect to Rich and no-respect to poor? on: November 01, 2014, 09:03:40 AM
Not necessarily true. If the rich earns his gain through proper and legitimate means, we respect because of his hard work and wisdom that earns him the wealth. If the rich earns via illegal means through harm caused to others then he don't deserve any of the respect.

Likewise, if one is poor but is hardworking but because of limitation due to education but is humble, kind, caring and giving, then he deserves all the respect, same like what the rich deserves. If a person is poor due to his laziness, then why respect him?
2379  Economy / Economics / Re: The dow will hit 30k before it falls below 10k again. on: November 01, 2014, 08:56:19 AM
No doubt. Else how do you explain why there are so many rich who practically has money come falling down from the sky for doing almost nothing.
2380  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible at all for a bank to be honest on: November 01, 2014, 08:51:36 AM
One main reasons why banks continue to dominate over bitcoin is that it gives interest rate for your deposits and you can use the money to invest in trust funds. For bitcoin this area is lacking. Other than that bitcoin wins hands down in terms of security. So despite the question on whether honesty is there people will still continue to use them
