2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Fails ? on: March 29, 2022, 11:48:44 PM
Before the question, what if Bitcoin fails there is a need for a question will internet fail. With the world each and everything is connected to internet and happening through the internet. Once after the pandemic even the people who doesn't have much knowledge to use internet services have begun to make use of internet.

As few users said everything used to fail, but when and why it happens need to be noted. Here if bitcoin wanna fail, then this will happen because of failure of internet. According to the stats internet services were getting updated with advancing technology which means the chance of bitcoin to fail is very narrow.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 29, 2022, 10:49:46 PM

Among the three so BYJU'S been chosen= thats sad.! It was the latest update so this one is legit.

I do have able to read that there are 3 major sponsors
https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1121199/qatarenergy-qatar-2022-fifa-world-cup

So Byjus able to get the spot. Crypto.com might able to get on next year hopefully.
I don't understand how this happened, because it was mentioned crypto.com have got the sponsorship for an undisclosed sum of money. From the above article it is clear that Byju's have got the bid. My doubt is on the sponsorship amount, because to rename an arena crypto.com have spend $700 million and Byju's getting the FIFA deal for just $40 million according to the source makes it unbelievable. Anyhow this time it is Byju's, the official sponsor for FIFA.

Quote
Byju’s partnership comes after FIFA announced on Tuesday that it had signed a sponsorship agreement with Crypto.com of Singapore for the 2022 World Cup, which will take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
2363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: March 29, 2022, 10:37:25 PM
We are still in bull market because real bear market is when all coins loses 90% of their value but I'm still confused why we are still in bear market, if I have to use past bull and bear chart we should already be in bear market right now, I've stopped buying alts for now.
It is a matter of perspective I say. For some people who bought at 60k, this is a bear market, but the ones who bought at 10k it is still a bull market but less than the maximum possible one.

Altcoins though always are in bearish accordingly to me. Not worth putting money in compared to Bitcoins.

But it is true that majority of buying of Bitcoins should be done in bear and not in bull otherwise you get into a net loss condition. Only then you can profit from the long term rise in price.
Well, its hard to know if the market is still bullish or bearish. But as long as you start buying bitcoin following DCA and hold them, then you will never have to worry regarding the market conditions because you are only selling them at a high and reasonable price. However, if you want to go all in buying, that may be hard on your part as the market value suddenly goes up or down, but as long as you intend to buy bitcoin, it will be a sure win game in the future.
Unlike the market movements, making use of the DCA will help with buying bitcoin at the best price overcoming the market volatility. When you keeps adding bitcoin to the portfolio at specific time interval, the buy price on the average will be low. Wealth making out of cryptocurrency is out of holding. The bear market gives an opportunity to buy at a lower price, but most of the time people panic to invest when the market is bearish. People always intend to invest when the market is volatile or moving within limits.
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is There any other country except El Salvador using BTC as legal tender?
 on: March 29, 2022, 09:45:57 PM
More countries are on the queue, but we haven't got any official information regarding the same. Quite often there used to be some proposals of considering bitcoin as legal tender. The recent one being the proposal from Malaysia and Honduras.

More other countries are into legalizing the usage of cryptocurrencies and haven't come up with plans of considering it legal tender. In such a way Vietnam which has been showing interest on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies since 2017 have started to create framework of cryptocurrencies usage.

2365  Economy / Economics / Re: US warns India over oil deal with Russia on: March 29, 2022, 06:29:16 AM
In a weeks time the trade on rupee - ruble trade confirmation will be done. This will help India spend less for the imports against the usage of dollar. The rupee - ruble trade mechanism will help lot of Indian firms to make businesses with ease. Maybe this can affect the relationship of Western Nations with India due to the trade. Some say India is selfish, but every country on its own tries to benefit. India too doing the same while USA is making it an opportunity to make them more powerful.

2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Russia to legalize Crypto Mining Soon on: March 28, 2022, 11:27:29 PM
Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Evgeny Grabchak revealed statement about introducing clear regulations for crypto mining in the country. His statement served as a support for the cryptomarket and the miners within the country, because back in January cryptocurrency mining was banned in Russia.

During the first national conference of legal crypto miners  Grabchak called for introducing a regulatory framework for the sector at the earliest. In his statement he added

Quote
"The legal vacuum makes it difficult to regulate this area and set clear rules of the game. This legal vacuum needs to be eliminated as soon as possible. If we want somehow to get along with this activity, and we have no other options in the current reality, we must introduce legal regulation, adding the concept of mining to the regulatory framework".

2367  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the impacts of Digital Dollar on cryptos such as Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2022, 09:39:16 PM
Digital dollar, the term itself indicates it to be a digital version. Paper currencies are into inflation, and how does a digital form can rescue it. There will be similar value of physical currency in circulation. The users won't have the benefit, when people start using digital dollar it give governments the easy access on taxation and having control over people's money in a better way than using physical cash.

People who are using bitcoin will never think of digital dollar just for the reason it is digitally tied to the physical currency printed by the government.
2368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 28, 2022, 09:23:58 PM
It is always said that don't save your holdings on any exchange, try to keep it secure on the non custodial wallets. There are traders who follow it, because the trading amounts will be high and the transaction fee won't affect the withdrawal and deposit.

With low volume traders, they think of the transaction cost and this mostly makes them hold it on the exchange itself than making withdrawal every day and deposit the next day. Some exchanges like Binance gives cent percent trust, because even at the time of hack it paid from its reserve to the affected users.
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Malaysian Ministry proposes cryptocurrencies as legal tender? on: March 28, 2022, 05:37:36 PM
Meh, the MOF rejected the proposal over the following reason:

Quote
Malaysia’s Deputy Finance Minister II Yamani Hafez Musa says that crypto is not a suitable method of payment for the country.

“Digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum are not suitable to be used as a payment instrument as these assets do not exhibit characteristics of money,” he said

Source: https://beincrypto.com/crypto-does-not-exhibit-money-characteristics-says-malaysia-deputy-finance-director/
Malaysian Minister Yamani Hafez Musa failed to give something specific that bitcoin and ethereum lacks to be used as a money. Just attributing volatility with ethereum and bitcoin stating these assets doesn't exhibit characteristics of money is simply a way to escape from adoption and support the development of country owned CBDC.
2370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: March 28, 2022, 06:26:58 AM
Right now the price is around $47k which is much close to the $60k mark. We've been coming across more and more news relative to adoption of bitcoin and it's legalized usage than security breach and other issues. With the ongoing trend we can expect more progressive growth than decline in the market if there is no big disturbance in the world economy. Some may ask, why should we think of the world economy. The inflow and outflow depends upon the money circulation with the common man. When the economy isn't good this gets affected and the same impact can be experienced on the cryptomarket.

The price that stuck between $40k and $42k haven't fallen back to the $34k which is the year's low price, but has moved forward reaching above $45k. This means the market is bullish and ups and downs happen relative to the Russia Ukraine situation along with the global market.
2371  Economy / Economics / Re: The ruble is going to hell on: March 28, 2022, 03:36:06 AM
This method is used by Putin to retaliate against all the sanctions they get. Europe relies heavily on Russian gas and oil but other news says that this would violate existing contracts due to regular payments using Euros or USD. If Russia insists on accepting rubles only for countries that are not friendly to them then they will also lose the income that they also still need to pay for this war and all the costs in their countries, so in fact this condition gives european countries and Putin in confusing conditions.
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russian-demand-rouble-gas-payments-would-be-breach-contract-eu-leaders-say-2022-03-24/

I'm not exactly a Putin fan but I partly understand. It is a retaliatory action against the retaliatory actions that the countries that buy from him have taken.

When there is a breach of contract by the other party, what you can do is to consider the contract as broken, which in practice in this case would mean that they don't have to buy gas from Russia. But if they want to continue to do so, they will have to pay you in rubles.

This has another implication, and that is that Saddam Hussein was killed because he wanted to be paid for his oil in euros instead of dollars. With Putin they will not be able to do much, at least not that easily, and he is not the only threat to the hegemony of the dollar at present, but this would be the subject of another thread.

Putin stands strong without taking into consideration his people. Right now he wants to throw away the Ukrainian government and establish his Moscow regime in Ukraine. After several bilateral talks there is no conclusion on the war due to varied demands. Amidst this Ukraine have applied to join the European Union and how far this gonna happen.

Russia's oil wealth is the one that can help Putin overcome the ruble fall. In the recent announcement of paying ruble for oil and gas made small changes in the ruble. Maybe his plan is to extend the war until his things get settled in his country. Since then we can see different approach from him to overcome sanctions.
2372  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The EU May Vote to Ban Anonymous Crypto Payments on: March 28, 2022, 03:03:48 AM
For what reason Europe Union have taken the decision is an agreeable one. The world has tried all ways to stop the war, but Russia is strong in its decision and finds alternate ways to overcome the sanctions. This voting will restrict Russians as well as affect the European Union countries. Already few countries like Singapore, Japan, have set their limits and this isn't out of voting, but sticking to the rules and regulations framed by the government.

Canada have got the same limitations of requiring recipient details when the amount is above $800. I find this as a beginning point to have track of the cryptocurrency transactions, as the money inflow is quite high and governments doesn't have a proper frame work to tax.

Taking measures on the usage of centralized exchanges is fine, because majority of the CEX support trading and other activities only after fulfilment of KYC. This affecting the non-custodial wallet transactions is the negative thing that should not happen.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: March 27, 2022, 06:10:45 PM
Hey guys it was a lucky day for me. Locked the winning of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in a comfortable manner. The outcome of both the matches were the same as my prediction. Both were tough match, and the end turned all of the sudden from a narrow win towards a comfortable win. With the Punjab match once after the wicket of Livingstone I thought it is the day of Royal Challengers Bangalore. But things happened different with the performance of Odean Smith.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 27, 2022, 07:49:35 AM

275 is a good enough collection to win. But I have no confidence in Indian bowlers. They may be talented. But I don't think they are experienced enough. Despite giving a target of 278 runs against Australia, India lost badly. South Africa is also in great form now. If the Indian bowlers do not play well, South Africa will easily win today.

At the end of 19 overs, South Africa scored 95 runs. They lost only one wicket. South Africa needs 180 runs in 31 overs. India will lose if they can not take the wicket of  Goodall and Wolvardt quickly.

Indian's have taken key wickets of Goodall and Wolvardt but they have done the damage by scoring 49 and 80 runs. The match is very much balanced as SA need 93 runs of 84 balls with 7 wickets remaining. If India can take 2 or more quick wickets then match can certainly be shifted towards them. West Indies are also supporting SA to win this game.
Myself too expecting the same. Two more quick wickets is needed for India. Mignon du Preez, the captain along with Marizanne Kapp is creating partnership. I'm expecting India to win the match, and we don't know how things gonna change in the upcoming overs. Required run rate have reached 8RPO which seems to be positive for India.
2375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: March 26, 2022, 10:34:40 PM
Right now if Reliance industries or Adhani group of companies have preferred using bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, then we might not be having such a big tax. The present government is always in favour of the corporate networks and never think of the middle class people or the lower bottom who somehow finds a way to uplift his/her life.

Tax over the cryptocurrency is high, beyond that is the tds of 1% which means the government wants ones entire profit out of cryptocurrencies. When more countries adopt bitcoin India might face pressure to lower the tax on cryptocurrency.
2376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $100000?! on: March 26, 2022, 06:20:22 PM
More positive news relative to bitcoin is taking place around the globe. Even at the worsened war situation, countries used it according to their need to overcome financial difficulties. The price which fell once after the start of the war started to progress then after specific time period. Now after a month of war the price have broken several resistance barriers.

Today the Russian Prime Minister have revealed a statement, it is time to integrate bitcoin and crypto into our economy. This will turn to be controversial as well as a key factor for bullish move. More of the positive things increases the chance of $100k at the earliest.

Ruthraj Gaikwad with convoy opens for Chennai Super Kings. Umesh Yadav opening for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Very first ball is a no ball and given a free hit. Umesh keeps the swing and Gaikwad is getting closer to lbw. Chennai Super Kings have lost the first wicket of Gaikwad at the extra bounce ball from Umesh Yadav. The beginning itself looks like a struggle for Chennai Super Kings.
2378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India proposes 30% tax on crypto and NFTs income on: March 25, 2022, 12:13:34 PM

  • 30% tax on capital gains proposed as Crypto Tax Legislation Becomes Crypto Law today
  • India’s crypto taxation law will now take effect on April 1.
  • The government has not accepted any suggestions of the crypto industry to tone down the crypto taxation
  • The opposition members reacted strongly to the bill, calling out the lack of clarity in defining crypto in the bill
  • The finance minister said, we have been very clear that consultations are going on as to whether we want to regulate it to some extent or really very much or totally ban it.

2379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Russia May Accept Bitcoin for Gas Exports, Lawmaker Says" on: March 25, 2022, 10:04:03 AM
Zavalny, Russian Federation Energy Chief revealed the possibility of accepting bitcoin payment for oil and gas from its friendly countries like China and Turkey. Along with it he mentioned they can also pay in Rubles, Chinese Yaun, Turkish Lira or bitcoin. He added, unfriendly countries had to pay in terms of Rubles or Gold.

Russia explore all the possible ways to overcome the sanctions. Oil and gas is the major export from Russia and the trade have profited $119 billion during the year 2021. Europe gets 40% of oil and gas from Russia which amounts $200-$800 million per day. With this Putin intends to play the sanction or pay in Rubles to recover the economy.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 25, 2022, 07:44:44 AM
Really surprised with the aggressive stance taken by Australia. They set a target of 351 runs, which is clearly not enough in batting friendly conditions. And Pakistan has got a good start, and they just need 278 runs more. Right now, I would say that Pakistan are the favorites to win this match (and the series as well). The Australian captain made a mistake here, and he should have also remembered that his spinners are not performing well. And now Pakistan is going to end up with some valuable points in the WTC table.
It's clear that Australia is taking an aggressive stance. Pakistan now has a realistic chance of winning the match because Australia declared the innings earlier than expected. Throughout the series, Australia dictated Pakistan on their home ground. Isn't that right? On the final day of the decider, Pakistan needs 278 runs.  With Pakistan playing like they did in their last game, they have a better chance. For Australia to win, they need 10 wickets.
Pakistan collected 100 runs, they lost only one wicket. They lost their first and most important wicket by 77 runs. Abdullah Shafique returned with 27 runs on 80 balls. Only 251 runs are needed to win. Pakistan still has a chance to win. However, after watching the first innings, the Pakistani batsmen cannot be relied upon.

Pakistan lost their second wicket. Imam Ul Haque and Babar Azam are in the crease now. If Pakistan wants to win then these two players must build a good partnership. Although I don't think Pakistan will win. Most likely to be drawn. However, it is not surprising that Australia won. The Australian bowlers are very experienced.
End of the first session majority have voted for the match to draw. There is little chance of getting results on this match soon after the second session begins. If Australian bowlers take few wickets, this will pressure the Pakistan batsmen. Same time Pakistan too can give a try, 215 runs out of 61 overs is possible.
