It makes a great headline but meanwhile VISA (or something comparable) enables me to make fiat payments with crypto (pre paid TenX card). The VISA’s of this world continue to have a place for the foreseeable future.

I am waiting for the days that it will be $1,000 a day added to the price. Only then we know that we are reaching the end stage of this imminent spike upwards. Are we making the shift from early adopters to early majority? If so, a multiplier 10x is warranted and within a breathtaking short period of time I would say. After all, this is the Digital World.

Bullish or too bullish aside, the trend upwards has shown increasing acceleration the last years. So a monstrous blow off top would not be extraordinary. The difficulty is in the price range. Looking at historical extremes (like in the BETI indicator thread), the top mania point could be placed (in comparison) at $41k currently.
So no, I wouldn’t get out too soon. Learned that from 2013.

Yes, it will become interesting once price doubles in a week. You keep saying that, even at this point? I say this (and continue to repeat it) as a reminder that we are slowly heading towards a blow off moment. The doubling-in-a-week indicator would serve as a gentle but strong warning that it may be time to dampen the hype a little. And yes, the run-up this year is great but to me it is hardly exciting compared to 2011/2013. But then again, 2013 may not repeat after all. |

This part of your comment really looks a bit uninformed. As if there have not been continuous forking battles over the direction of Bitcoin and that there is a quick and simple solution for the scaling issue. Perhaps you should consider rephrasing your question. |

But I can imagine that the lack of updates makes people restless. You do not get guarantees in this game so you always run the risk that the money is gone. If you cannot stand that heat, stay out of the kitchen.

I think you will have plenty of time to sell. The local top is hard to predict at the moment, but I will be looking at $15-25k, than a 50% retracement, then $90-100k+ target. The retracement might bring us back to 0 BETI or below.
These numbers are almost exactly the same as masterluc's (fits both the first top, the bottom and the second peak). There must be something in the air  [...] I'm ready for this scenario. |

As long as the new rules help spreading the coin better, the better. The DeepOnion forum is very active, not in a small part because of the introduction of DeepPoints. It keeps the mods very busy but that is what comes with the job. Meanwhile, price has picked up beautifully. Not that price really matters right now, but it gives some confidence that we are on the right track.

I could be wrong but if the Devs deliver a working product timely, this project may have just about hit rock bottom in terms of price. I think I will keep an eye on this.
