... snip ...

I'd trust you, if you cared to explain what business you had with TradeFortress.
You two seemed like you were sleeping together a few month ago, then something changed - when TF removed his trust towards you.
Anything we should know?

I like the idea of having AlternateTrust list, though, but I'd rather have it displayed below my own, something like that:

Comparing my own trust list to default/other people's trust lists could be really useful, actually.
For now, I really don't like your "AlternateTrust" puppet idea, as you're the one knowing the account password and thus decide who makes it there or not.

PS : Notice my godly editing mspaint skill. Grin

I don't trust TF anymore. I trusted TF back then.

Your alt trust idea sounds good, as long as it's not edited so badly. Wink

And yeah, the system isn't perfect, but there's not really any way to decentralize this thing - there has to be a point of centralization. Someone could make a better system, and if they do, that's great.

EDIT: Epic HTML skills resulted in this concept:

If you dislike DefaultTrust, but want to have trustworthy ratings automatically be shown to you, then I'm proposing a new trust list called AlternateTrust. It's obviously centralized, but it has much more community input.

You can use DefaultTrust and AlternateTrust together if you like, remember.

I've already created the username, and if you like, you can replace DefaultTrust with AlternateTrust right now, and build your trust list on top of it, like:

Code: (Trust list)
AlternateTrust
user1
user2
user3
user4
user5

or simply:

Code: (Trust list)
AlternateTrust

People are added to AlternateTrust if their public application gains a support. "Support" isn't defined per se, but you can ask to hear the reasoning if you like.

Nothing forces you to use this and if you dislike anything that starts happening to it you can remove it from your Trust list. I recommend you use AlternateTrust with a trust depth of 2, so it's something like:

Code: (Trust list)
AlternateTrust
-user1
--user1.2
--user1.3
-user2
--user2.2
-user3

Requirements to be on AlternateTrust:

  • At least 5 trades/loans completed
  • Support from the community
  • Demonstration that you give accurate trust ratings
  • Demonstration that you hold an accurate trust list of people who give accurate ratings

That's all. To apply, simply post on this thread with proof of the above and why you should be added. If people support you, you'll be added.

This is largely experimental, and it may or may not work, just remember that.

If you want to donate to me for making this, send some coins to 171717Lqgyi88sqSqRtToFYUYmJqeq5Bui Wink

Note: I wouldn't recommend using only AlternateTrust right now, because the only user it contains is me.

New offer 300$ (I don't want to scam anyone)

I don't even know if an offer of $1000 would tempt me. I spend so much time here.

Maybe $10,000, and you have to state that you bought the account. Wink

Pretty sure Gox isn't reliable due to the USD withdrawal problems, so it's price is inflated. I think Bitstamp is the best price indicator.

2368  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinabul - 16BTC / 3oz order, no response on: November 10, 2013, 09:01:15 PM
I placed an order on Nov 6th, and have had no further contact other than the automated confirmation email. I've attempted emailing contact@coinabul.com to check on the order but there has been no response. Has anyone received an order or even heard from the owner recently?

Man, I can't believe people are still placing orders with Coinabul. Does he have a forum account?

Yep, I can't believe it either. Especially with...well, this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=42204

Yep, you should really avoid ordering from Coinabul at the moment. Undecided

It's rare and it's a nice round number. What more could you want when you go on an epic betting spree, or want to flaunt your wealth in JD chat? Wink

I'll sell it for 1 BTC 0.9 BTC. PM me. Thanks. Smiley Can verify that I own this in JD chat for interested buyers.

If you find someone to buy this ID, I'll give you 0.05 BTC. Just PM me after it sells with proof. Smiley

Uh, this forum is shit.

Page takes 5 seconds to even start loading properly. It's ugly and it looks like a "special" version of Discourse.

No thanks.
