2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether USDT On TRON Network Transfers Is Not Cheap - Better Use TRON on: June 07, 2023, 04:23:26 AM
Nowadays if you transfer Tether USDT on TRON network, it will cost you around 30 TRON ( 2.35$ ). It is not cheap, if you, for example, transfer less than 10.00 USDT. So just TRON transfers are more cheaper - free for up to 5 transfers per day.
How is it possible? I rarely make transactions using the Tron network. However, if we do the USDT "Tether" withdrawal of the Tron network in the Binance Exchange, it costs only 1 USDT.

Binance must have lots of staked TRX to get free resources, so transfers are technically free for binance and even this 1 usdt will go into binance's pockets while if you directly transfer usdt and pay fee via TRX it will cost as op pointed out.
2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In-chain Games on Ethereum: Are They Still Relevant in 2023? on: June 07, 2023, 04:17:47 AM
Do you play a free game on Ethereum by paying only transaction fees.

I don't, transaction fees are put-off for me on any chain, but Ethereum takes the cake.

Knowing that you can sell town shares when you reach a certain level?

Depends on price, and this often depends on popularity of game, or are you saying players can sell town shares for definite price determined by game design?

2385  Other / Off-topic / Re: A post about telegram scams on: June 07, 2023, 03:48:23 AM
I used to block and report those telegram channels that sent me unsolicited chats in the past until I realized I was getting banned by telegram from private chatting anyone. Each time I got such chat I would reply them first by telling them their scam to their faces and then report and block them. I didn't know what went wrong. So, I stopped responding to them before blocking them. Now, I just block the hell out of them straight away without response to them.

Lol, exact same thing happened to me and I had no choice but to resort to instant block rather than responding first.

2387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: doing extra effort will help a lot on: June 06, 2023, 02:59:15 AM
Every time I see people doing crypto then complains that they have done everything but still does not work for them.
The reason behind why they wont succeed is because they are counting the hours they have done the work, while they are complaining others are hustling and doing things extra mile.

Things workout if you are really interested in them, those who are interested in particular field won't even realize they are 'hustling' and might wonder when others point it out to them.
2388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you learned about open and close source wallet? on: June 06, 2023, 02:50:53 AM
many people still do not listen. Thinking people are becoming wise with their coins. People do not want to learn from what they have seen.

I don't think it's because people don't want to listen, it's just that there is always new fish in pond who don't know stuff, plus some must have assumed non-custodial means secure. Won't be too far when some open-source wallet gets hacked too.

People have lost huge in this hack, recent reviews on Trustpilot are saddening.
2389  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ad sales down 59%, company valuation down 66% on: June 06, 2023, 02:25:23 AM
At this rate Twitter will either file for bankruptcy or will be sold for 5-10 billion to new owners. Or maybe Musk will double down and will start using his Tesla/SpaceX money to support Twitter, although if that happens, the shareholders of those companies will be very unhappy. Another way how Twitter can survive a bit longer is if it will secure funding from foreign governments. One of the buyers of Twitter together with Musk was a Saudi prince. Maybe Musk will start offering censorship/propaganda/data harvesting service to governments for a large fee to offset his ad revenue losses. Because blue checkmark sales are clearly not enough.

...or may be he will manipulate Doge /s

Seen, according to the referenced post, there seems to be address connections between 1xbit and 1xbet which is a solid evidence.

So, to summarize: they use the same software and the same game provider, matching third-party verification tags, matching deposit addresses and wallets, matching terms of use...
2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Stats and other Data on: June 04, 2023, 11:43:42 PM
Of the several categories that you want to see, of course it belongs to the project, for example "revenue", they must first publish the data they have before we really know. But, to see some important data on a DApp, I suggest you to use DappRadar, they can give you data about Unique Active Wallet (UAW), transactions, volume with 24 hours, 1 week and even the last 1 month time frame.

Even after omitting 'revenue', DappRadar appears unreliable to me, I check stats of dcity game which is one of most active games of hive blockchain and this is what it shows.

Also you thought you may have been smart by knowing the promotional was a scam but what of the other chances of you getting hacked by using that bot to download your music.

That's quite right, I indeed considered channel to be quite trustworthy.

To correct something here, 1xbet is not a known scam here, I can't speak for everyone in their personal encounter with the but here its 1xbit that is notorious for scam, the fact that they took up the name 1xbit which is very alike with 1xbet is already a red flag. TBH, I am still not certain about the relationship between  1xbit and 1xbet here in the forum. 1xbet seems to be genuine site unlike scam 1xbit. I could be wrong also.

I know 1xbit is notorious here and not 1xbet, so for confirmation I searched up and came across this post, evidences are posted there, read comments.

Why I seem to be confused is because I have seen many celebrities use their channels to promote and advertise 1xbet. Could it be that the celebrities are not aware of their scam activities if they really scam.

I don't think most people care much as long as they get money, or maybe I'm just projecting my own psyche.  Tongue

This is pretty normal in Telegram, you can even subscribe on other's bot and advertise anything you want.
... I never thought that Telegram can be used for downloading music. lol.

Music + other pirated content can also be found here.
2393  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 04, 2023, 05:25:34 PM
This should make us all aware that closed source wallets should be avoided at all costs even though they might be promoting themselves as a non-custodial wallet.

I saw posts on Reddit saying this could be an inside job as well.

Atomic wallet devs were warned about security risks in their wallet long ago, check out this coindesk post [1].

2394  Other / Off-topic / A post about telegram scams on: June 04, 2023, 08:58:54 AM
I use this bot called deezload on telegram to download music, days ago, there was this promotion as you can see in image below.

Private premium channel shill, I thought why not give it a try. So we click and next moment I'm greeted with this personal message, shilling 1xbet which is notorious for being scammer here, and I was joined in" premium" channel where there were already 76k members, lol.

Takeaways:

— Channel creators don't care about you

— They will show huge payouts and praises in their channels to allure you

— That 48 number remained as it is even after I clicked it, a popular scamming technique to make you do something fast.

2395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: June 04, 2023, 08:20:25 AM
What you said is quite right, in bull market, everything pumps and can be said whatever one may invest in will yield profit however in bull market scams also tend to run high, that can cause you loss if too much heedless, just do necessary due diligence.

Remember to take profits, paper profits are not real profits. Good luck!

Is the proposal has been approved yet?

It's in RFC (Request For Comments) stage, yet to be posted in Osmosis governance.

2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AVAX] Avalanche Speculation - price movement tracking & discussion on: June 03, 2023, 06:46:33 AM
I honestly do not understand purpose of so many evm chains, including Avax. Most of them pop-up because of congestion problem on Ethereum, meanwhile these same chains also get congested when they see bit of activity.

2398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most significant trading sacrifice you believe you have made? on: June 03, 2023, 06:39:05 AM
...He did this because the mentor said people do not appreciate free things, and if he were not making the sacrifice of paying out of pocket, he probably would not be serious and would take it for granted.

I agree with this based on decisions I took in my teens, gave up plenty of money handed to me on a silver platter just because my needs were met through my parents, I somehow refused to look further than that. It was sheer naivety, and I regret not looking for my financial future.
2399  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 02, 2023, 06:11:00 AM
I'd add this Subreddits to cut costs on food, remember to sort by year/month/week to find quality posts: r/EatCheapAndHealthy, r/Cheap_Meals, r/BudgetFood.

Note: I've added Troddit (One of Reddit front-ends) so you don't have to register/login to check-out stuff.
2400  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we improve our country's economy by on culture or ecosystem? on: June 02, 2023, 05:41:36 AM
There is a problem in the ecosystem or culture in Asian countries where children are taught to save their money while in European countries children are taught how to invest their money. This creates a complete culture shock.

I don't know truth of the statement, but if I were to remark considering it to be true, these 'saving' in Asia and 'investing' in EU could be attributed to education because EU contains developed nations whereas Asia developing ones. It's fact that saving devalues money whereas investing does not, and this knowledge doesn't come without financial education.
