2381  Economy / Reputation / Bitcointalk and Reddit accounts Seller on: April 03, 2021, 05:57:07 PM
I found this Full member account (Dazedconfused11) tempting to sell Bitcointalk, Reddit and social media accounts were probably hacked or compromised accounts and asking Ethereum as payment.  And also, this user most likely used in bumping ANN thread before based on the account seller's history.

Another case might, I presume there's no real accounts to be sold and might trying to scam users and those will take a risk would fall on this scammer's trap.

I already gave a negative tag, is that user deserved to have a flag too? if so, what kind of flag.

Did you know that selling Bitcointalk accounts are strictly discouraged here and this was found here in forum rules?

This activity isn't trustworthy because the account that you've tempting to sell is might hack accounts and even on Reddit, ain't know but for sure this is also against their rules.

Otherwise, this is a scam attempt and likely there's no real account to be sold.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BSC on: April 03, 2021, 04:50:17 PM
IMO, the Ethereum killer was now found and would be a BSC.

Yes, it could be possible that Ethereum will be losing interest by most traders and switch to the BSC networks since most concerned now is the transaction fee of Ethereum which is very high.  As you can see, many Defi protocols are now moving and considering shifting into the BSC network.

We had heard that Vitalik Buterin promised to fix the issues of the high fee of Ethereum, but when the Ethereum volume 2.0 will happen?  It's how many years passed we're still suffering from the Ethereum high fees.

once ethereum gas fee goes lower in near few months?
Anyway, how sure you are that the Ethereum gas fee will low down by next month?
2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best mobile wallet for BNB? on: April 03, 2021, 04:32:25 PM
When you open an account in Binance, they give you a preferred wallet to choose from when you click the "wallet" button.

I don't know those other wallets suggested if they support the android mobile wallet like Safepal and Trustwallet which are very common wallets that have been used by most Binance traders.

There are some android wallets that didn't suggest Binance that support BNB coin.
Just like:
  • Coinomi Wallet
  • Atomic Wallet
  • Guarda Wallet
  • Edge Wallet

Much better if you will do your own research and don't rely on other's opinions.  IMO, the best wallet is a hardware wallet and I saw Ledger wallet supported BNB there.
2385  Other / Meta / Re: How can I delete my forum account? on: April 03, 2021, 03:39:45 PM
His posts could be kept, but the username could be changed "deleted" or something like that, similar to what Reddit does to deleted users.
Interesting idea!

If theymos could be changed the profile username and put a word "Guest" under profile name by request like on these threads 1 and 2, that could be a way to delete the account for private purposes or any reason that could be lead to negative circumstances to the users.  Or, ask to change your username and leave the forum might also another option.  But if theymos wouldn't be granted this request, there's no way to delete your account and follow the suggestions above.

I'm thinking a possible negative outcome of this idea above, might not good for the forum if there are too many deleted accounts in the future.
2386  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mycellium vs CoinBase?Whats the difference? on: April 02, 2021, 11:59:15 PM
I am currently using Mycellium wallet and all the people around me use Coinbase and boast about how there are no fees, should i consider switching to Coinbase?
What is the difference between the both, which one would you recommend and which one do you use?

There are no fees for both Coinbase users and shouldn't exceed the limit which is I think 0.01 Bitcoin, IIRC.
And yes, that is off-chain for the microtransactions, but if you exclude on the limit, you might not able to transact any transfers you want.

If you're going to ask me, I'd prefer to choose Mycelium wallet compared to Coinbase wallet.  Because that Coinbase wallet is custodial wallet while Mycelium leaves you complete control of private keys.  Otherwise, you can choose both of them but not storing your coin for a long period of time in Coinbase but if you have microtransactions to your friends, using Coinbase is a good choice, it's upon you.
2387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fake app in apple app stole his life savings in bitcoin on: April 02, 2021, 11:49:24 PM
There are common ways to steal our crypto, as long as we are connected to the internet, we are vulnerable to hack or even attack any phishing sites.

There are too many cases of fake apps or clone websites in Scam Accusations board, the worst thing is most commonly in Google Playstore and I don't know if the Apple apps store do the same with the Google store.  The problem is, why they didn't filter those fakes apps instead, there should be a verification of the legitimacy of apps before they will accept to be downloaded by the users.

Those criminals for now are very desperate of making money, especially most people who are unemployed due to the pandemic.  We should extend our diligence upon storing our digital assets on the internet and always verify the apps that we install or even the website that we use, verify first and should always on the official websites, not on the modified ones.
2388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I hold Tron for better earn?is it a good idea? on: April 02, 2021, 11:30:51 PM
I am very new in cryptocurrency but i always try to gather all crypto-currency news, tron started with $0.001091 in September 2017.I Think when CEO Justin sun started partnership of south korean Electronic giants Samsung, After those time tron price run for the future. Many predictors, predicts tron reach $0.08 by 2025. The price of Tron is coming to the market earlier than expected. Can I expect more in 2025 then? That's why i want to hold it.can it profitable  for crypto holders?
It's possible that TRX is good for holding for a long period of time.

There are too many predictions of TRX growth, if you're looking into how it's used by the economy and makes the coin will grow, you would definitely start on the usage of the coin.   First, we're most likely adopting the decentralized system and TRX has a good network for the decentralized one and in fact, due to the large adoption of dApps and TRX has the biggest power among all decentralize app or(dApps).  In that case, it will increase the demand and supply in the future and it would be better to wait and hold for another four years.
2389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading books recommendation on: April 02, 2021, 11:19:09 PM

I am starting reading now and I hope there is something absurd in my mind regarding trading.
These books are worth reading but of course, you can't see how it works if you never applied it.

I usually spend my free time reading books, watching YT trading tutorials but we notice that it has a big difference in live trading. Actually, you can use all the learning that we got from those things but we have to analyze the market carefully because not all the things that we have read and shown online are similar to actual trading.
If you're willing to learn everything is around you, you can seek information on the internet and there are too many books in online merchants that you could learn in trading if you are a newbie.  Just keep reading and searching if you want to learn, this is the most important before stepping into the trading field because it required knowledge and great skills on how to analyze the market price flows either it's a fundamental or even a technical analysis would be fine as long as you have a source in forecasting the market price.

Technically, ain't even good in trading that's why I prefer to invest and hold a long period of time to maximize losses.  If I have enough funds and full my bag in the year 2018 when the Bitcoin price or the entire crypto market was down, it might be good to cut your profit now. (sigh  Sad)
2390  Other / Meta / Re: [Compilation] All pranks that was made by theymos in every April Fools Day come. on: April 02, 2021, 10:50:47 PM
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination when users try to log in to Bitcointalk.

Ah thats a class idea and you may have spoiled his plan Pmalek,
a COVID prank would have been a great one!

We're both wrong, it's not about the vaccine, it's about fNFTs that everyone could be rich in just 1 day.

I already added to the OP's list the year 2021 theymos prank.  Now ask theymos where is the hundreds and thousands of Bitcoin and who is the richest user on this forum.

BTW, it's a nice prank theymos, 'till next year.  Cheesy
2391  Other / Meta / Re: Introducing NFTs for forum members on: April 02, 2021, 10:33:48 PM
Too bad it was only one day. Luckily I took a screenshot before the fNFTs disappeared.
Great!
You took a screenshot before the fNFTs disappeared.  I wasn't able to capture a screenshot yesterday because I'm so busy and I'm thinking yesterday but I found out that it's too late, it's already disappeared.

Please allow me to use this image on my compilation thread in all April Fools prank of theymos.

Thank you.

I bought some, it might good to hold for a while.
2393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have a few beginner questions regarding crypto trading on: March 30, 2021, 11:51:56 PM
1. I'm currently using coinbase as my main crypto exchange. But I keep hearing from a lot of people who have been trading/mining crypto for years say that they don't use coinbase anymore. Why is that? Also what exchange is the most popular to use right now? Is it still Coinbase?
Probably because Coinbase has higher fees compared to other exchange platforms.  They had charged about 0.5% for the crypto buy and sale on their site.
You might read this for the update of the Coinbase rate trade, https://www.nerdwallet.com/reviews/investing/brokers/coinbase.

Quote
2. Is it normal to make several purchases on coinbase (using your checking account) as in purchasing portions of several different types of crypto, for those transactions to be pending for a little while before your available balance reflects the amount that you actually purchased? How long does the pending phase usually take on coinbase, if your checking account is in the United States?
I heard there's no pending transaction upon purchase in Coinbase and they are also regulated by the US government.  As long as you pay a tax you're always fine.

Quote
3. I've heard mentions in forums and youtube that people who trade prefer to store their crypto in wallets outside of an exchange for security reasons. If I'm understanding that right, that instead of storing their crypto in wallets that you can make on your coinbase account, they store it in a paper wallet or something. Am I understanding that right? And if so, what security risk am I taking by storying the crypto that I've invested in, in wallets that I created in my coinbase account?
That's right, never leave your money on an exchange you don't have full control but as of now, Coinbase has a good reputation, but what if someday they will be scammed and probably will shut down.  That is very risky on our part, it's better to purchase a good hardware wallet for safe storage on our Bitcoin, and cold storage is the best and secure place.
2394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin adoption isn't stopping on: March 30, 2021, 11:05:28 PM
First they ignore you.... then they laugh at you.... then they fight you.... then they start buying Bitcoin!  Cool
Lol, I can relate to this when I start talking to my friend regarding Bitcoin investment back then about two years ago, they'd laugh at me.
But now when the price pumped too much, they ask and asking a tip how can they earn through using Bitcoin but sorry I already ignored them.

I tend to agree the OP Bitcoin adoption won't stop, there are big private companies and big institutions or even single investors who want to ride this great opportunity of making a profit in the long term of holding.

I don't know if it's a coincidence when a pandemic hits the whole world and everyone needs to use a digital currency to avoid physical contact and Bitcoin is one potential that can be used and until now there are many people who keep using it.  Otherwise, some of them thinking that storing value is more appropriate when looking at the profit of Bitcoin.
2395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading books recommendation on: March 30, 2021, 10:47:38 PM
There are tons of trading books selling on Amazon and to be honest, the one that I wanted to buy is the book of Mark Douglas, I like this author and his book is worth it to read.

In addition, there's a book of day trading that might be interesting to read too.

(more books to find)

The most that I liked is the book of Mark Douglas, The Disciplined Trader.
2396  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockzone.com scam?? on: March 29, 2021, 11:45:55 PM
Is this exchange platform what you mean? https://www.blockzone.com/en_US/

At the first glance, it seems not a professional website, there are no Terms and Condition and even the FAQ.  It's a little bit lousy website to me.

Why did you fall into this kind of unknown exchange in the first place?  I didn't dig more regarding them because I'm not interested but as I can see in the screenshot, it's a little bit you're being arrogant to them, whatever the reason for blocking you from their group is we don't know the whole story.  I'm once a moderator of the Telegram group before, most cases of blocking members were that insulting the admin and being arrogant or harassing the admin.

Well for sure, we have different experiences.

That's a red flag though but even though what's the reason it is, you should try to be patient, a moderator in the group is most commonly different from the dev team and it will take time for them to pull out your documents as you've asked.

Just move on and find a better exchange.
2397  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fees for bitcoin mixing? on: March 29, 2021, 05:12:00 PM
My question is exactly about the network fees. Is this the right method to do it, the one I mentioned above? I have seen that you can "sweep" the chips into Electrom - are there any fees for that? Thanks!
You can use this site to determine the current transaction fees of the Bitcoin network, https://mempool.emzy.de/ and use this Bitcoin Fee Estimator/Calculator for you to identify which fee has a faster transaction speed according to what you want, the higher fees the fastest transaction will make.

Probably you mean Electrum wallet and make sure you're on the official website, https://electrum.org/#download, and verify this as the instruction on the site.  Yes, all wallet that supports SegWit address will modify the fees and reduce it to the cheaper one and it varies to the transaction speed.
2398  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fees for bitcoin mixing? on: March 29, 2021, 04:56:29 PM
Probably this what you're looking for, 2021 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites.
It's a full list of Bitcoin tumblers including the fees, the minimum amount, and most important is the official link of the website, because there are too many clones and fake websites of Bitcoin mixers that lead to users lost their fund.  It's better safe than to say sorry.

But first, heads up to this ⚠️ List of Bitcoin Mixer or tumbler SCAM/CLONE websites ⚠️.  As I said above, there are a ton of cloned and scam Bitcoin mixers out there, so better to watch them out.

Also, is this 100% untraceable?
Not sure and not totally, IIRC, but it will definitely increase your privacy which makes them difficult to find.
2399  Other / Meta / Re: Is there an app for this forum? on: March 29, 2021, 04:48:44 PM
Is there an app for this forum? I seldom use computer  😭
Thx  😊
First, this question shouldn't here, just move to Meta or Beginners & Help board.

This thread of yours and your concern is the same on this thread and this thread, and the user TryNinja suggested one but in the end, it will not work because of the log in a captcha feature upon accessing of this forum.

Using the android phone is hard for me especially if you have lazy fat fingers, it's very difficult to touch the screen on the web, it needs to zoom in and then zoom out.  Therefore, the android app for Bitcointalk isn't necessary when our phone has a chrome app, Firefox app, or Brave app browser that we can able to open websites like Bitcointalk.
2400  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Crypto exchange listed on Coinmarketcap on: March 29, 2021, 04:17:38 PM
I don't know if there's someone here who owned a crypto exchange listed on CMC that doesn't have a volume.  The best thing you can do is manually check the CMC ranking exchanges and contact them that you want to buy their exchange.  I saw, there are 6 exchange platforms that have no volume within 24 hours and it seems abandoned by the owner or not being active.

I tend to agree with the suggestion above, why you're interested in buying exchange platforms that don't have volume, it likely risky on your part because that exchange might have a bad reputation or turn out into an exit scam.  Instead, alternatively suggestion, you can buy a crypto exchange domain name and build your own crypto exchange.  Here is the list of 300+ cryptocurrency exchange domain names for sale including the price.  This will make sure that you're not most likely wasting your money.

Otherwise, you can have your decision at all times because that is your money.  Think twice before you will act.
