1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small general trading place? [I wouldn’t know as I’m fairly new to this] on: April 27, 2024, 05:30:23 AM
Hello people!

I would say I’m fairly new, so my knowledge of recourses regarding crypto are low. I was wondering if there is a general place where people trade small amounts of crypto. Like I was thinking about just purchasing 1$ worth of Bitcoin or Litecoin, but I’m not sure where to start.
If you want to learn trading and increase your knowledge for free we have plenty of trading exchange platforms that offer demo trading.
It uses virtual funds that you can practice and enhance your knowledge using different techniques and analysis, unlike actual trading which uses real money that could be a reason for losing it.

That's a very small amount in trading, it could be eaten by the fees, remember in trading there's a corresponding fee that you must pay.
1$ isn't worth it to try.  It's ideal to try above my suggestion if you don't have yet an idea about trading.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? on: April 27, 2024, 05:01:06 AM
I keep investing regardless of the time - buy the dip and the high. Also, I continue to HODL because I have faith it will cross 100k, if not in a few months then by the end of the year and will probably continue to hold till it crosses 250k.

What is your average buying price ?
IMO, which is the best idea is to focus on consistent investment by using DCA rather than trying to time the market.
What I mean is that grab the opportunity when there's a market correction because it can influence the average buying price of investments that can be made through DCA, with the potential to lower it during periods of declining prices.  This is one of the benefits of using DCA to determine the buying point.

Don't make things more complicated by making such a decision.
Just invest and hold it for the long term and aim for a target amount of profit.
3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can what happened to Samourai Wallet happen to Electrum ? on: April 27, 2024, 04:42:08 AM
I guess this has made users of this wallet unsecured.
People who used Samourai didn't lose their funds, if that is what you think or mean. It is a self custodial wallet, and even if they can no longer access their funds in the Samourai software, they can use their seed phrase and import their wallet into another recommended software in order to access their funds. Electrum is not a privacy solution and it is not a target of the government.
Exactly, it doesn't affect the Bitcoin that you have as long as you have control over it.
The reason is that our Bitcoins are stored on the Bitcoin blockchain, not within the wallet itself.  As long as you have your private keys or seed phrase that you can access, you're safe, you can still access your Bitcoins using alternative wallet software, even if Electrum or Samuari wallets were banned.

Speaking of Electrum, IMO, it's impossible to be banned, they aren't the same as Samurai.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅🍅 wintomato.com 🍅SCAMER Dice 🍅 SCAMER Slots 🍅 SCAMER Sport Betting on: April 25, 2024, 10:40:51 AM
I found last two years you have had a post against them, this one, and this.

Is the same issue on this?
The user used multiple account for Dep. bonus , faucet and fortune wheel farming; We identified them and blocked;

You'd received plenty advice in your previous thread, just present a valid proof on you accusation against them.
As I saw, many threads marked "resolved" on the accusation board.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 25, 2024, 06:50:44 AM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it? Although USDT can facilitate transfers and cross-border payments, thinking about the fluctuations and risks makes me feel a little panicked! It can’t be used everywhere in daily life, What do you think? Come and chat!
Why not if the purpose is to accept it as your salary?  But it doesn't mean you will hold it for a long time.
Though the USDT was designed to be a stablecoin, still there's a risk behind it, it could be de-peg or lose value.

Yes, the changes in supply and demand of the market within the cryptocurrency market could also cause USDT's value to deviate from its peg.
It's inflation risk that can't protect against inflation in the market.  If the US dollar experiences significant inflation, the purchasing power of USDT holders could decrease over time.

This is only if you meant for holding, but if not, you can receive it as your salary and convert it to fiat if you want to have your fund.
6  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: I miss Faucets on: April 25, 2024, 06:37:21 AM
I'm glad Bitcoin has become so main stream, but I do miss the days of being able to type your BTC address into a random website and then *POOF* some BTC pops into your wallet.  I should have listened and kept my coins off the exchange but here we are.  Just happy to be back in the space again    Cheesy
Nothing that I can say, forget the past about the Bitcoin faucet.

Yes, we still have a website that offers faucets but it requires it large amount that you can able to withdraw.
So, IMO, it's useless or wasting of time if you're still looking for a good faucet right now, it's different than before.

But instead, you can invest in Bitcoin through DCA way so that you can manage the risk.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay alert and keep suspect of when someone is helping you out of your wallet on: April 19, 2024, 06:49:28 AM
sending me a wallet that's not mine and asked me to paste at the relevant place where I'm to direct my fund to because the process was so technical of copying and pasting of my wallets, going front and back.
I smell fishy here.
Remember the golden rule in crypto "Not your key, Not your coins".

First, may I ask a question?
Did you trust this friend?  Do you have contact with him?
If so, that sounds safe but don't trust it at all.

If your fund or crypto is stocked on the exchange, you must pull them out to the wallet that you're the only one that has control over it.

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 19, 2024, 06:32:24 AM
It's as simple as that, there's no successful trader in trading.
I disagree. If you are actually trading, you can make profit in the long run too despite some losses and mistakes here and there.

The problem is that many people "gamble" and call that trading! For example they listen to the fake hypes on the internet, in social media, etc. and buy a shitcoin without knowing they are buying into an already pumped garbage that is about to be dumped. Obviously sometimes they make a profit randomly because they were lucky and the pump lasted a little longer but most of the times they lose because they get dumped on.
This is not trading. This is gambling and you are right, there is no successful "gambler"...
Well, I got your point there.

From time to time in trading for sure you'll learn from those mistakes in the long run and this makes you strong in trading and of course, it will sharpen your knowledge and ideas in trading as well.  But I can't imagine how much you'll need to lose before getting such a point.
So the idea of successful trading isn't something yet convincing me at all but yes, you may earn profit but we can't call it successful.  Because IMO, when we talk success, there should be no loss at all, it should be consistent profit that trading won't promise at all even how knowledgeable you are.
9  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Market correction thread on: April 19, 2024, 02:58:04 AM
Ito yung mga project na balak ko mag enter if ever magcontinue ang downfall ng market:

$W
$OP
$TIA
$ENA
$SAGA
$TAO
$TNSR
$OMNI
Thank you for sharing at least may idea tayo kung saan ang may potential sa new project na ito.
Behind na talaga ako sa mga potential new projects which is need talaga ng research before mag invest, para kasi sa akin basta new altcoins na paka risky mag invest lano't hindi ka nakasubaybay sa kanila.

Sa tingin ko, give a large allocation on Bitcoin instead of these new altcoins.  Kasi para sa akin mas safe mag invest doon kaysa dito sa altcoins.
But if you got lucky sa mga altcoins na ito, maybe tiba-tiba ka din balang araw.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Focus on knowledge, build up belief, then investment plan, success will come. on: April 19, 2024, 02:42:15 AM
The most important thing is to have fate on whatever investment they are making...
I highlighted the line above because I think you nailed it.
That's right, we should have this fate and of course, a deep narrow research to know what you invested.
People should learn that investing in crypto shouldn't be a quick scheme or it's not a quick fix, rather, it's a long-term commitment that requires perseverance and foresight.

All investments require knowledge and skills, even in a business, you should master that field before putting your money as an investment.
I remember one of the investment influencers said, "it's a journey that rewards those who tread wisely and diligently".
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 18, 2024, 12:28:53 PM
It's as simple as that, there's no successful trader in trading.  You might get a profit today but you'll never know what will happen next.
In terms of money, many people are willing to deceive other people by offering their fake services since they know there's someone to believe them because they call themselves "influencer".

But teaching about trading is not scam. But you have to let your student knows that trading is risky and that you are only teaching them the basics.
I consider it most likely, especially if they are misleading others with false promises or unrealistic expectations about trading success.
It's disheartening to see that still they fall prey to such schemes, with few, if any, achieving the financial independence and success they were promised.

Mentorship isn't wrong if you don't rely upon them, you should make your own decisions in trading and make them one of your references.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price action strategies on TRADING on: April 18, 2024, 06:35:32 AM
In the opposite direction,

Thank you for the wonderful technical analysis chart explanation.
It seems like this kind of analysis gives me a headache, a lot of drawings and candle sticks so that's why I stopped trading for a while.

But the one I quoted above makes sense to me when there's a bullrun of course for sure there's a correction of the price that will follow.
Trading is very risky because there's no way how to predict the price accurately, it seems all predictions and speculation will always be there.

In fact, it is not just the chart we looked at but so many factors to check.
Exactly, FA and TA should be the best combination to consider.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term holders now have about ~1.8M BTC on: April 18, 2024, 06:11:58 AM
Ain't know how we measure the long-term or short-term holders during these short-term buyers because when Bitcoin is in a bullrun, people trying to make a profit or we don't know who are those aiming for a higher profit than possible we can call them long-term holders.  On the opposite side, those people see a small profit and then quickly sell.

So there's no way to know them either short-term holders or long-term holders, as long as Bitcoin gains massive adoption the pace of buying will also be there.

I'm sure that there will be FUD news and panic selling in the next few months, so the rapid growth shown on this chart won't be sustainable.
Pretty common scenario and let's see who are those true long-term holders.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: bullish & bearish community !!!! on: April 17, 2024, 07:31:55 AM
So sometime green will be bull trap or red will be bear time need to take deep knowledge about technical and fundamental.
That's how volatility in the crypto market works.
It's always unpredictable.

But IMO, we shouldn't ignore the FA and TA on trading and understand the chart coloration because that's the key and it guides when to buy and when to abstain in trading.

OP was right, altcoins follow Bitcoin's market sentiment, so why would I waste time on altcoins?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Leverage on: April 17, 2024, 07:01:29 AM
So my question is why do exchanges still offer them. They keep pushing it to traders like favourite snack?
Because demand is high. That's simply just it.
Exactly and I tend to agree.

These should be the main reasons.
  • Profitability, it's all about money.
  • Increase trading volume, when the demand is high.
  • Attract more traders which means for them more profit.

Traders trying to have a minimal risk on leverage trading by using stop-loss might still be hoping that they can manage the risk in this kind of trading.  As they said, a high risk means possible high profit.
16  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 15, 2024, 01:30:42 PM
I haven't heard of that wallet at all, why did your friend choose that wallet since doesn't have a seed phrase?

Upon searching I found this on Reddit posted last month, they're talking that this wallet is 100% scam.

I tend to agree above, if there's no seed phrase given so there's no chance your friend recover his locked Bitcoin.

18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Give us referral, we'll give you your withdrawal on: April 14, 2024, 02:47:26 PM
Contacted their customer support, they said if you give us referrals we will give your withdrawal. Lol.
First, thanks for the heads-up for this obvious scam, because it belongs to HYIP.
If you give referrals for sure, another victim for them and the victim will blame you of course.

This is very common in my country but not in crypto, it's an app that you can invest in and has promised return but when you request a withdrawal there's a lot of alibi.

It seems they'd a lot of victims since they registered in 2020 as who.is said.

20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Analysis - What's coming Next? on: April 14, 2024, 02:11:48 PM
About this speculation I don't fully believe there is any deeper correction then it will be considered reasonable to consider bitcoin volatility, yes now just be patient waiting for bitcoin to recover.
I tend to agree with this.

It might be just a coincidence about the war between Iran and Israel or it could be there's a small impact but I don't believe that's the main reason why Bitcoin price has a correction this time.  IMO, it's pretty normal that there's a correction after hitting the top when the price surged to $70k.

People shouldn't worry about the correction but instead, use this as an advantage of having the DCA method for purchasing Bitcoin.
