2381  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: February 01, 2018, 04:14:50 PM
The merit system is not working, look the merit points of people on the forum, it does not move (even for the more relevant posts), the forum established a system which was suppose to penalize newcomers flooding the forum with useless post, but the forum penalize itself, good luck everybody, If you think people will give you merit points for free you are mistaken.
Merit is given to those who deserve it. Did you make a thorough study on the current merit system that made you conclude that the system is not working? What is your basis or its just because you don't get merits on your posts that's why you concluded that the merit system is a failure. Its not even more than 2 weeks, give it a chance.
2382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Money on: February 01, 2018, 03:57:23 PM
How exactly does the money making process work?  You buy some cryptocurrency for a certain price then sell it for a higher price and the difference is the money you've made?  This would mean that the money you've made is still in terms of cryptocurrency.  Then can that money be converted into the whatever kind of cash your country uses?  How does it work?

Depends on the Country if there is a local exchange for BTC to their local currency but if there's none, there are other ways to cash out you BTC since USD is acceptable world wide. There are exchange sites out there that accepts BTC to be converted to USD, then USD to Western Union, Money Gram or Paypal.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum vs NEO on: February 01, 2018, 09:24:34 AM
While Da Hongfei says they are not a competitor of Ethereum, people dubbed NEO as Ethereum of China. NEO still have a long way to go to at least get close to what Ethereum has accomplished but this is the advantage of NEO, they have plenty of room to grow, whatever Ethereum fails to achieve, NEO can try to work on it so NEO can avoid the same mistake or even do better.
2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin green and bitcoin lightning on: February 01, 2018, 08:40:26 AM
are the coins Bitcoin Green and Bitcoin Lightning from the same guy?  They just released the two masternode coins and they look so similar.  They are selling on stocks exchange with the same amounts of volume.
I checked Coinmarketcap and both Bitcoin Green (BITG) and Bitcoin Lightning is not listed yet. What exchange site has listed Bitcoin Green and Bitcoin Lightning pair? Here is the announcement page for Bitcoin Green https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827989.0 I don't think they are developed by the group or person. I can't find anything about Bitcoin Lightning or maybe you are talking about lightning network https://www.coindesk.com/little-bitcoin-lightning-project-has-two-big-implications/

THE UPDATE IS OVER.

VERY GOOD NEWS FOR SOME PLAYERS :

All the accounts which had at least 0.0005 BTC during the BCH fork on Bitsler, have now received the equivalent in BCH.

What a way to start the year!
22 Billionth Bets promo!
New Coins added!
BCH to those with 0.0005 BTC in the account during BCH fork!
This is a very surprising move that none of us expected.
The generosity of this site is never ending!

Now I'm excited to know if there will be a new game will be added this year.
2386  Economy / Lending / Re: Can anyone lend me 150$ BTC paypal for 10% intrest on: February 01, 2018, 06:30:38 AM
so should i have like 150$ eth to get 150$ btc? I m confused.I have https://ccrb.io account with over 250$ as refferal earnings which can be withdrawn after the airdrop ends.Is it valid?
The collateral that you need to offer should have 120% value over your loan so lets say your loan is $100 USD, your collateral should be worth $120 USD, reason why its 120% is because if you don't pay after your loan expires, lender can easily liquidate or sell your collateral to recover the loss. If you read the link that I posted, account like those are not valid, it falls under 10th bullet point and you also mentioned that you will get $250 USD on that account after the airdrop, that falls under the 4th bullet point.
2387  Economy / Lending / Re: Can anyone lend me 150$ paypal for 10% intrest on: February 01, 2018, 05:56:28 AM
I know i m new but i can give my listia account with over 600 feedbacks as Collateral .I can pay back on first march.
Sorry but no, accounts like that is not a valid collateral since it can be easily recovered by declaring that its hacked. Offer other form of collateral and you may get higher chances of getting your loan request funded. If you have no idea what are the valid collateral, read this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.msg6311902#msg6311902 and lock the thread if you don't have any in the list.

Since you asked for it, click the link, it will bring you to the post of Vod and it will educate you on what are the accepted collaterals in this forum, same with what is not accepted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.msg6311902#msg6311902 if you don't have any of those mentioned in the list, close the thread, theres zero chance that you'll get any from lenders.
2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IGNIs and Bittrex on: January 31, 2018, 02:02:57 PM
Ignis Also on UpBit !! wow  Cheesy
I think both Bittrex and Upbit added IGNIS at the same day but I was more surprised to see the volume in Upbit is higher than Bittrex. Does that mean Koreans bought a lot or they heavily participated on the airdrop? Price is getting lower and lower every hour, but I will still hold on to this token. Token price is cheap now.
2390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading noob want to learn on: January 31, 2018, 05:40:32 AM
Your first lesson would be "Buy Low, Sell High" and you need to repeat that over and over again because when the price of the coin or token you bought dropped, traders forgot that "Buy Low, Sell High" line. They panic and start selling even below their Buy price. I know it's easier said than done, but I have been there and I've had a lot of regrets in selling too early because of panic or following someones advise.

Don't follow the pump. That means if you see a token or coin that is currently pumping, don't jump in right away to join the party, because maybe they are already midway or almost done and you'll be left holding a bag of high priced token or coin.

Set a target, a target that is reasonable and achievable. I would rather earn 3% per day than loss 20% of my investment because the price dropped all of  sudden.
2391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Chart Time For Day Trading? on: January 30, 2018, 09:23:43 AM
I think today is not a good day to trade. We can see that bitcoin prices are falling slightly to $ 11,000, and other pennies are falling. Due to unfavorable news from Korea and China, bitcoin prices have dropped and investors are hesitant. At the moment, I recommend buying a lot of Tether to prepare for the coming storm.

I also think that this is the right time for you to buy tether hoard, because the price of Tether is currently very cheap you take advantage of this opportunity to buy fast to wait until the bitcoin and other copper prices increase. we can go shopping.
At present bitcoin prices are tending to decrease slightly and according to my analysis, bitcoin prices are having strong resistance and breaking the threshold of reversing price increases.

Did you even read the post before replying? I don't think he is asking if its a good time to trade. What he is asking is the settings for the chart if its good to use 5, 15 or 30 minutes.

I change the minutes interval depending on the volume of trade, look at how fast is the of transaction, if the volume is high and there's a lot of exchanging happening then you need to have an updated chart based on the exchanges made in shorter period of time because if you wait for another 30 minutes for an update, it maybe to late to decide once you see the status of your investment. I guess 15 minutes is the ideal for day traders.

Where i can get invite to bittrex exchange for register new account?
You don't get an invite, you need to send a request try this link https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=114093958552
Choose Corporate and New Account Requests. However, sending a request doesnt guarantee you an account in Bittrex, it will only put you in the waiting list to be served by Bittrex. They call it a "waitlist form".
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IGNIs and Bittrex on: January 30, 2018, 02:08:57 AM
Yes I confirm I also see IGNIS finally in Bittrex but it says "IGNIS wallet is under maintenance". At current price of 0.49 cents based from coinmarketcap, I think once Bittrex completed the wallet maintenance, price will drop further as usual behavior for airdrops is once listed, sell right away but for me, I will hold and see what the developers plan for IGNIS.
2394  Other / Meta / Re: BCT is now a "Government", mod and legend are all Cabinet ! on: January 29, 2018, 08:52:35 AM

The admins of this forum have all the right to change the rules in this forum. They also have all the right to assign anyone they want to be moderators and staff. The admins use their best judgement on all their moves in this forum and they do that for the advancement of this forum. If you have any suggestion send it to them and let them have a look and study. But for now lets embrace this merit system and see how it goes. This is just new, not even a month implemented for us to judge that its not good. Its either you are part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

I think the sentiment here is that people are disappointed at the management capability of the admins, including their way of communicating the inevitable pain in such process. For sure this is a private forum and admin can do whatever they want. They started building this community from 2010 and they have every right to destroy it. The truth is that people can vote with their feet and if the system is bad enough, another forum will replace bitcointalk.org. Then merit or level on BTT won't mean anything.

Governments tries to ban bitcoin but they can't, even those are their (sort of) private countries and the rulers can do whatever they want. Deploying a new Trumpester system to see how it goes, being completely ignorant and insensitive of how most people feels, while every single hero/legendary members in this thread has some signature campaigns going on, is irresponsible, incompetent, and is a bad sign for the forum.

Everything has its time in history. Even bitcoin might eventually die to give place for maybe a better designed value system. Now could be the ending of the beginning or BTT, but it could also be the beginning of its ending.

Way back 2010 this forum doesn't have this Merit system because everything is still running smooth, but eventually things get out of hand as there's a lot users who wants to register in this forum and they want a lot of account to control so they can join campaigns and because of that quality of posts suffered because most of them are just posting just to meet the dead line and not because they want to join a healthy discussion or share their knowledge about the topic. Way back 2010, I guess its not even an issue, but now it is. And the answer of BCT is you don't rank up if post quality is not good based on the merits awarded to the user who posted. We don't want the admins of BCT to just say, lets re-start all over again, new forum and implement the merit system. Lets give the merit system a try.
2395  Other / Meta / Re: BCT is now a "Government", mod and legend are all Cabinet ! on: January 29, 2018, 08:03:48 AM
Sorry for my English, but hope you can understand what I mean !

----------------------------------------------------------------

The new Merit system is a new weapon ruled by "bct government" ... and all those mods and legend members are now cabinet..

they can choose to give you merit or not !

1: Quality post?
what is quality post? Is BTC a pure technical forum or a economic forum ? or both ?
I have asked the same questions under many other threads, what is "quality posts" in BCT Huh
The cryptocurrecy will die without tech support, and also BCT will die without those new projects, even it's shit coin!

2: Are you sure those mods and legends will give you merit?
I believe some of them will... and also believe that most of them will not !   Just my opinion, selfish but true!
Some of the mods and legends in bct contributed a lot , but many others never contributed, they are legends just because they'v been here several years ago !

3:  Mods and legends now monopolized the resources!
It's not new members fault... they are new, but also need to be treated fairly! Mods and legends can join bounty freely, and have the ability to control the whole projects now !
The merits' source is now been controlled, the rank upgrading is rule by man, not by law!

Merit is not good way to make BCT clean...BCT need a good rule for airdrop/bounty program, but not a monopolized rule for new members !

2396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the best platform for trading bitcoin? on: January 28, 2018, 03:22:18 PM
What's the best platform and why?
Which ones are reliable and which ones are scams?

I notice that a lot of binary options companies have switched over to offering bitcoin trading opportunities, but these for sure are a scam.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I have 3 trading platforms in mind and I use all of them for a reason.

Binance - new kid on the block backed by not a new kid in the block in term of running a trading site. This trading platform listens to their users and they even run contests which I never heard of from other long time running platform. They also give commissions thriugh referrals. Their support is responsive.

Bittrex - unfortunately this trading platform stopped accepting new registrations but for me this platform still is a good platform with a lot of trading pairs to offer. Their user interface is very user friendly and easy to understand. Support is not very responsive but according to many old time users, reason why they are slow in processing requests and responding to client queries is because of the congestion of tickets filed multiple times by those who cant wait for response from the admin (I don't buy that alibi).

Poloniex - i started to trade using this platform and from time to time I still go back and trade using this platform. They also have a lot of trading pairs to offer and some of them are not available in either of the trading platform that I mentioned above. Like Bittrex they have a problem with answering client queries through tickets but they also have the same reason given by Bittrex, Congestion.

There are other good platforms out there like Cryptopia and KuCoin but I dont use them as much as I use Binance, Bittrex and Poloniex.
2397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price estimation on: January 28, 2018, 03:06:50 PM
how will I estimate when the price of bitcoin or any altcoin will rise up.Is there any technique??
For trading Altcoins I use RSI or Relative Strength Index, it tells you if the Altcoin or Token is Oversold or Overbought. You can read all about it here but if the price breaks the oversold line or overbought line it doesn't mean that's a signal to Buy or Sell, it just tells you that its more likely that there will be a reversal of the trend.
2398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading experience on: January 28, 2018, 11:00:58 AM
I am not an expert in trading, I am just a part time trader that trades when I have extra BTC and trade for a short period of time but let me quote a part of your post to let you see your mistake.

Invested all of it at TRX when it was Pumping.

Then i saw BCD!!!!!! Pumping so fast so I acted like a dump and sold all of my assets and invested in BCD.

You chase the ones that are already pumping, which is very risky. You bought when the price is still high then price dropped and you are holding a bag of expensive coin. Learn to use the tools available out there like RSI.

Don't put all your money in 1 basket, distribute your money so if one fails to give you profits, other coins may help your recover.
2399  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: January 28, 2018, 10:51:13 AM
Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary do they need a merits? These rank should be exempted on merits systems instead they are the one who will judge the lower ranks by giving merits.

These could benefit the forum members as a whole;

1. Newbies that work as a spam will be controlled.
2. It will give an opportunity those newbies that really working hard to rank up in fair time.
(I saw a lot merits just given to the the higher ranks which a post is not really worthy of a merit. majority of the merits just dwell in their realm. Lower
    ranks just gets the crumbs)
3. Merits will be distributed fairly to the lower ranks because higher ranks will not think of their merits anymore.

'Hope this post can get crumbs.'
Those who are in the Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary ranks still needs merits because as you suggested, those ranks will judge the lower ranks by giving merits. If they (Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary) run out of sMerits to give, how can they judge those lower ranks? It's a cycle, they can't give if they don't have receive any.
2400  Economy / Lending / Re: seeking .043 btc investment for poker bankroll on: January 28, 2018, 10:38:25 AM
Hello, today I would like to offer you an esoteric but potentially very profitable investment. I am looking for a someone to invest .043 btc in my poker bankroll. At the present moment I am grinding PLO $25 and looking to advance more rapidly to PLO $50.  In order to play PLO $50 I need a $1000 usd bankroll but right now I have only a little over $500 in my account.

About my background in poker, I have been a professional player for over a decade. The last six years I have been a plo specialist.

About poker.

Poker is a game with a very high skill cap, just like chess or Starcraft. Most of the people who play poker do it for fun. They don't study the game, they aren't intimately familiar with the math and they don't use a HUD to keep statistics on their opponents. Imagine if Magnus Carlsen (reigning world champion) played some random dude on the street in chess. Margnus Carlsen would win 100% of the time. Now in poker it doesn't work that way, because there is variance. Actually the variance is the beautiful thing, because if the losing players just lost every time they would never play. Because there is variance a bad player can still win pots and even book big winning sessions. But in the long run they lose. That is why poker is profitable, and that is why you should invest in my bankroll. I am not the Magnus Carlsen of poker, but I am a dedicated student of the game who has been playing professionally for over a decade, and when I play I make sure there are a good number of fish at the table so that the game is profitable for me. Presently I play five tables at the same time and I put in around 3000 hands of volume in a full day (8 to 10 hours a day but not all at once I segment my sessions).

The deal would be roughly a 75%/25% split. Please note I am putting up half the funds and doing all of the work and providing the expertise, which is why I get 75%. You would be able to cashout at any time. This is not a risk free investment, because there is variance involved, but there is significant potential for profit here. You can also invest more than .043 btc if you want and I welcome multiple investors.

I tried to find the word "collateral" in your very long post but unfortunately I didn't find the most important part of asking for a loan in this forum and that's a collateral. If you don't have any, get one or lock this thread. If you don't know what are the valid collaterals that lenders accept, here's a link to educate you about collateral's https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.msg6311902#msg6311902
