General update:

I did not create this coin for profit. I am still currently working on AXR RMKT, when time permits, as I have a full time job at my company.

Sounds like this coin is going nowhere fast.

how fast would you like it , maybe 20k sat in two hours or 100k in 20 minutes ,your expectations are unreal ,

it takes time for any coin to grow in price , have some patients or try some other coin til then

You talk like there isn't 20 other coins trying to do this exact anonymous market thing. Only the first 1 and the best 1 will succeed. Some guy with a full time job isn't going to do anything here.

Can someone tell me why people are buying this coin? The guy admitted he is a fool that has no time to work on this.

Is there a block explorer? I lost coins from supernova to trex.

http://explorah.net/axr/
Thanks. The Bittrex AXR deposit address that I used to transfer from supernova was not found on the block explorer. I hope that bittrex or supernova can help get my coins back.

You shouldn't have deposited coins directly from the pool! It doesn't work that way, Pool->Wallet->Exchange
I've been doing this with coins for last 2-3 months, and it has always worked. I started direct transfer from pool to exchange because I here about some bad wallets that steal btc and other alts.

And now you finally learnt you lesson.

Nobody likes people like you who mine and dump on the exchange. Support the coin. Install the wallet and keep it running you fool.
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THC][1.7] The Hempcoin (THC) ✿ UPGRADED POW/POS ✿ Spread the Seeds ✿ EPIC on: August 29, 2014, 08:50:52 PM
So this afternoon I printed off some of the Hempcoin paper wallets, from hempcoin.org.  I noticed that the public key is much longer than any key I have encountered before.  Then when I tried to send coins to the address from my qt-wallet it wont let me enter the full address I am trying to send coins to.  Has anyone else had a problem with the paper wallets?? Or maybe someone can point out what I am doing wrong.  Thanks in advance,
Dan

Hey,

Sorry about changing the paper wallet style from the style every other coin uses. The key on the front of the wallet is the private key. The public address is angled vertically beside it. I changed it so that it was smaller and used up less ink. I printed out a bunch of them to give away. I have better plans for the paper wallet but they haven't happened yet.

P.S.
If anyone wants to improve the paper wallet, I would be fine giving you the github account. The graphics on the paper wallet are really old now.

No need to apologize, I really appreciate that you, and others are working hard to make HempCoin more robust.  What I was actually referring to was the length of the actual "deposit key"; it is 51 characters long, which is longer than a Hemocoin public address appears to be allowed to be.  Basically it doesn't work for me.  There is no way to deposit to the address that were generated for me.

Am I doing something wrong?? how did you send coins to the paper wallets that you printed out to give away??

It took too long to send coins to all the paper wallets. Paper wallets are also difficulty for a normal person to import. The HTML5 wallet is going to handle promotions 100x better than the paper wallets.

Paper wallets are useful if you want to securely store coins.

I just tried out the paper wallet and can confirm it is working. It took a long time to importprivkey, like 5 minutes. It did work though.

I am 100% in favor of a switch to x11. I would be very sad if this switch didn't happen. I would probably sell all my coins and ignore this coin if they don't switch algos. A switch to NIST5 would probably be the best. x11/x13/x15 ASICs are on the way in 2015. NIST5 runs stable on my miners and uses a little bit less electricity than the new x11 optimized miner.

A full POS coin is risky but it would be unique this the marijuana coin niche. None exists yet. There are many POS coins now and they are stable/working so far. I am in favor of a full POS switch but only 75% confident in that decision.

I don't like how CannabisCoin switched algos, send in your scrypt wallet and your new x11 wallet address to get coins, but if that is the way CannaCoin has to do it then it is fine.

No one is FUDing CANN. I am letting them know that they should be focused on getting into Cali. Cryptocoins have no barrier to entry. They should get growers/dispensaries in Cali to buy CANN and be apart of CANN instead of creating their own coin.

It's not only on the devs though. The community has to get this going. The devs are only a few people. We need everyone going to dispensaries and selling them on CANN. Cali is the biggest market. It's probably a 50x bigger market than Colorado, Washington St. and Arizona combined.

Don't be losers. Go out and get people to buy CANN. Once they own it their impression of it changes.

I think you are wrong with your slow and steady growing ways. Any coin could easily copy the pegging system. It's nothing special. It's all about growing as fast as possible and marketing.

I have all the cannabis coins so I would be in favor of all of them working together. None of them are large yet. Anyone can copy them and catch up in a matter of days. I would want them all to work together. Have them actually create a barrier to entry by having 10,000 users united and 50 developers all working on different projects. Make it as hard as possible for a new coin to come into this niche market. You want people to all work together instead of everyone being on different teams thinking they are battling the other coins.

Either way is fine with me though. It's fun to be a part of all the crypto + cannabis stuff.
2390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Trees24 situation explaining on: August 28, 2014, 07:24:11 AM
marada, thanks for your help.

What is the functionality of this tree trading platform? C-Cex merchant API works well for accepting cryptocurrency as payment for your products.

Maybe the point is to promote the tree trading platform. Your point was to use C-Cex API "under the hood" of the trees website?
Giving out mobile number - I admire dev's transparency efforts. I hope something great will grow (pun intended) from here.

Yes, use c-cex for the payment acceptance. It works well. You could build your own code to handle payments but that would require a lot more work.
2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][420] Some Clarity on: August 28, 2014, 05:13:50 AM
Quick Note

Clarity for some who didn't know (still),  almost every coin out there is not built by any ONE original developer.  It's all open source and built on a collaboration of multiple devs helping and contributing either free or paid.

Litecoin, Potcoin, Hempcoin, dope, BOOM, URO, etc, etc are NOT built from 100% scratch. Surprised?

Ask yourself this, what have you been investing in these past couple of years?  Coins with just a good name, hype, technology?  A funny meme like Doge? Kanye? Ron Paul, etc.

That's all fine if you are just a trader and want to see your profits go up from hype etc. To some, trading is a way of making a living, so it's understandable.

A lot of Devs out there, release their coins for the sole purpose of just trading and dumping on you for gains.  Surprised?  You shouldn't be.  look at the pattern.

Wake up people.

CannabisCoin is NOT a trendy, funny, meme based, pump and dump, get rich quick scheme, coin.

It is a serious coin with a serious team.

A coin without a good team, a good community, and a good plan = nothing.

CannabisCoin =

- real patients, real plans, and real commitment to the community.
- real advocates, real industry medical marijuana experts, real world plans.
- real collaboration with supporters and community
- real medical marijuana developement

CannabisCoin is the medical marijuana coin of the community and is spearheaded by actual medical marijuana experts doing it for the good of the patients.

Surprised?  You should be.  It's rare.

YesWeCANN!

Exactly! This is why CANN should be putting tons of energy towards getting into California. Sooner than later a person is going to copy the CANN idea and make a coin that gets popular among growers/dispensaries in Cali.

There is very little barrier to entry.

I am thinking from a coin owner money making point of view. We want this coin to go to a billion $ market cap. It benefits us for this coin to be used all over. We do not want other coins coming along and in the end having 10 different marijuana coins that all together = 1 billion $ market cap.

From what I can tell:
POT = Colorodo & Montreal
CANN = Arizona
CCN = Washington St.
DOPE = Somewhere in Europe.
THC/HEMP = I think they are going more for hemp so they aren't really competition in this niche market.

CANN doesn't have any technical skills at all. This doesn't seem to matter though. They are showing that social value is just as important as all the technical stuff that PotCoin has developed. I personally would love to see a merger with PotCoin and CANN. All the technical stuff will be open source soon and no coin will have an advantage on that front. I think the social aspects of a coin will be an important thing in the future. I see many new marijuana coins coming out copying CANN really soon. Probably one for every locale. I would press CANN to start taking over areas. It is only a matter of time before all the marijuana hot spots begin to have their own coins.

Anyone buying this coin is stupid. The dev admitted he sucks and has more important things to do in life than work on this coin.

cryptoasian.com also looks like a scam now. There is not point in buy coins that have 5* rating on cryptoasian.

What does cryptoasian prove? Nothing... of course we know someone made this coin. Thanks cryptoasian for letting us know a real person made this coin! You're the best.

Hello,
I stumbled across this coin, looking to mine and possibly invest.

One point I'd like to make, I don't care if it's been addressed in the past since it's still in the wallet:

OP states:
"We chose not to boast the hemp leaf as it has become synonymous with recreational cannabis smoking and not hemp as a product. Although the leaf symbolizes the liberty that we should have around the world (but are still not given, primarily within bank practices), we have created our own symbol for the movement. The symbol is meant to represent "THC" as a currency symbol."

But yet there are burning joints and potleafs in the wallet. I won't take this coin serious until that's fixed, and neither will the hemp industry. Can smoking pot be an underlying, unspoken theme? Sure! What hemp farmer doesn't smoke? But if Hempcoin is a business as all coins are, get rid of the schwag.

There is a new wallet coming out soon. I also hope all the smoking/drug images are gone.

You don't automatically make money mining these new garbage coins. High risk, high reward. The miners/investors are trying to get anything that they can for their coins before they are only worth 200 satoshi.
