Bitinfocharts says there's over 42k nodes. That chart says there's 6k.  That is saying it has found 42k nodes total that ever existed and were at one point peering. The 6k is the number of nodes currently online and active. Thanks. Kind of alarming the number of nodes keeps dropping. Not really, you only need to run a node if you are invested in keeping the protocol from changing otherwise you can just use an SPV wallet. What is problematic is just a fiew Core developers like Luke-jr can force their will on us knowing full well transaction costs will go to their lighting network and sidechains. I would say you're incorrect. A network with only a few nodes would be susceptible to a cyber attack. All the nodes are the same in that they do the same base stuff. They are different as they have added features that become real once enough miners uses that node type. |

What about the people who feel $20 is a big amount of money to go in on a coin with. Everything should be open. No details on posv, but I do like the project! Any and All types of activism like this that supports the Cannabis community is a positive thing. Hopefully some more and clear information can come around about the 420JFA because it was pretty hard for me to find any info searching through your posts. Maybe an updated OP would be helpful. We will be initially launching using potcoin but who knows what the future holds, that's why I added a 3rd spot on our logo with the question mark. What makes you think this is supporting TRON? Unless this new exchange can somehow prove they aren't delisting TRON for 5 years, I would consider this not supporting TRON and most likely going to hurt TRON when all the coins get stolen/delisted. Here's a tip for a new exchange. Give value added to coins. No one wants another exchange. Add in features for a block explorer, merchant API, etc. Until then this is just a garbage exchange with a high risk of losing all of your coins. |

I don't see this store idea benefiting any one coin over any other coin.
What it will do is bring in more users, supporters & developers who like marijuana and never knew cryptocoins were a serious thing.
CANN and POT are the best today. They are also set up to benefit the most from this store. It would be impossible for this store to somehow influence which coin is the most popular.
Just like users before this store opens are impressed by CANN and POT, new users created at the store are also going to be impressed by CANN and POT. CANN because it's pegged to CANNdy and has a mobile app. POT because it has ATM's and a web wallet. New users are not going to be impressed by the other marijuana coins. The majority of new users created at this store will continue to chose CANN and POT, just like they chose to today.
... Of course this could change if a different marijuana coin does something huge! but that is irrelevant of the store existing. Any marijuana coin could do something huge to take over today.
This store does not take away. It gives a HUGE platform for only these select few coins. I could see this store making world news headlines if it gets super popular.

I'm afraid Joint Force that I do not share your enthusiasm for associating CannabisCoin [CANN] with run-of-the-mill "weed coins". CANN is unique in purpose. Rather than some vague "let's give a coin a marijuana name and make some money" aspiration CANN exists to facilitate getting medical marijuana to medical marijuana patients, preferably at subsidized rates. It is perfectly true that part of that facilitation involves a means of cashless electronic transactions so that dispensaries may operate safely, because it is part of getting mmj to patients. It is also true that delivering cashless electronic transaction ability for dispensaries is likely to deliver significant profit for early adopters of CANN, the "investor" segment, if you will. CANN is backed by the 1:1 peg, the Yes We CANN movement's promise to supply approximately one gram of CANNdy medical marijuana for the cost of one CannabisCoin [CANN]. While it takes considerable time to establish legal grows and deliver the CANNdy supplies you will note that the Herbal Wellness Center has been honoring the peg since last October (I don't know but suspect they are donating product into the CANNdy inventory themselves during the long establishment period and nothing prevents other dispensaries doing likewise). No other coin is focused on this charitable endeavor. No other coin stands to deliver such extraordinary profit virtually as an accidental side-effect of charitable endeavor. At risk of sounding like a coin snob I feel that associating CannabisCoin with "weed coins" significantly diminishes CannabisCoin. I have no idea who @CryptoJohn or @B4zz4 are but I can assure you that @JointForce is in contact with D9 of CannabisCoin and D9 fully supports the idea. D9's goal is helping patients. He supports the idea as it brings more attention to CANN, giving him a better chance of helping more patients. BTW... This idea does not combine all the marijuana cons. It actually makes them more competitive against each other. Instead of all the marijuana coins competing in the 5,000 different altcoin space as they do now. The marijuana coins would be given a platform to be above all the other altcoins. They would then compete against each other to be the biggest coin in the marijuana niche with the winner potentially being as big as bitcoin. It probably sounds a bit ridiculous to be bigger than bitcoin, but bitcoin has no dedicated physical store only selling stuff for bitcoin at a 50%+ discount. Signing up users constantly all day long. A million users could be created from 10 store locations within 2 years. Being tech people, we could easily dominate social media to turn that 1 million users into way more users. |

This coin is doing a coin swap? If they are doing a swap they should try to follow some sort of transparent coin swap guidelines. It would set a new standard if someone could do it. If the guidelines above aren't followed this coin will be a possible scam. All transparency will be lost. One of the cool things about an automatic transparent coin swap is that it can be used to create more premined coins. This allows a coin to bring in more funds and continue work on the coin. At some point initial ICO funds get used up. Diluting shares by 5% for more work on the coin isn't that bad. I would rather the dev be honest and dilute shares over stealing every ones coins and giving some of them back to the currently active members. |

Since all the bullshit like OpenEx and BitQuark I was tired of further developing this coin and decided to focus on school again. Since I see there are still people who support the BinaryCoin, I'm asking you guys your opinion on what and how we as a commmunity should do.

Not yet, but definitely a good idea! To create a cold storage address yourself: run a local wallet, disconnect from the internet, create a new account and log in. Write down passphrase, pubkey and account id, log out. Get back on the net and use the faucet to publish the pubkey of your new secure storage account. I have all my coins on bittrex. It's a pretty dumb move. I better figure out how this coin works. Thanks for the tip on how to create a secure offline wallet. |
