2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 21, 2021, 10:31:13 PM
It's difficult to tell just from that short testing window, but Mercedes do seem to have some problems, which could certainly give Verstappen a chance.
From what I've seen though it doesn't seem to be the engine, the issue is about stability at the rear of the car... difficult to tell also, because testing was in Bahrain, how much of this is due to the Mercedes usual weakness in the hotter countries. But as for Honda 21 engine being better than Mercedes 20... I'd imagine the Mercedes 21 engine is likely to also be better than Mercedes 20.
Who knows, though? Just guessing at the moment... but we will get an idea very soon, with the first race of the season. Can't wait Smiley
If Verstappen has any chances, I think it will only be in the first races of the season. Then I think that Mercedes, as always, will solve all their problems and again go into the lead; D Although it seems that there are conspiratorial versions that all these pre-season problems are just throwing dust in the eyes of competitors Wink Although of course I would like to have a healthy competition until the very end of the season. All the same, it is not worth making any far-reaching conclusions from the tests, and a more or less serious picture will be drawn in a few races of the championship.
2382  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: March 20, 2021, 11:58:53 PM
By the way, there is nothing surprising in the fact of the correction itself, because in market conditions, growth cannot continue indefinitely. There is nothing wrong with the fact of a correction, because a healthy correction is better than a collapse in the exchange rate price. Of course, the correction is mandatory, but unfortunately there are no reliable benchmarks that could show when the correction goes into a collapse, and therefore everyone has to rely on their previous experience and their feelings. Everything can change in the course of an eye, but it seems that there are no prerequisites for a collapse yet. By the way, if now the market again can not gain a foothold in the area of 60 thousand dollars, then probably again a correction will follow in the area of 50 thousand dollars.
2383  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden planning first tax hike(major) since 1993 on: March 20, 2021, 11:23:59 PM
Years back, some said the united states needs a great firewall of china. They said america would benefit by emulating CCP policy. I never agreed with their proposals to build an internet kill switch, great firewall of china. Nor did I agree with plans to implement surveillance or other measures which could infringe upon privacy, rights or freedom.
China's tax cuts however I support 100% wholeheartedly. This is the type of policy the US should pursue and implement to its fullest potential.
Just the pendulum swings in the other direction and after the tax cuts by the Republican Trump administration, some tax increases by the Biden administration should follow. Moreover, as far as I remember, this was one of the election promises of the new administration in economic policy. All these great firewalls and restrictions on the freedoms and privacy of citizens can eventually lead to a decrease in the economic activity of citizens. Yet China and the United States have slightly different political and cultural traditions to try to replicate the Asian traditions of government.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 20, 2021, 11:07:03 PM
Both Brighton and Newcastle are underdogs so it's not surprising to see that bookies weren't so hyped about the fixture. But prior to the game, Brighton was the favorite because they're higher on the table compared to Newcastle. It was a case of anybody wins it with Brighton being a slight favorite. Anyway, I'm not too concerned with such fixtures. Everton tried very hard to keep City at bay but it wasn't enough. I'm now convinced that this city team can penetrate any defense even those it's made up of parked buses.
Just a couple of more wins and the title is theirs to take.
Well, bookmakers need to focus on something and a place in the table, as well as the last matches are quite a good reference point Wink Although, of course, anything can happen in a separate match, especially with English clubs, which are famous for presenting surprises in the results of matches, regardless of their place in the standings. Manchester City may lose points in a separate match, but the momentum gained should not allow them to lose the title in the fight for this season.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Artur Beterbiev vs Adam Deines Unified Light Heavyweight Title on: March 20, 2021, 10:46:49 PM
^^ I have seen some snippet of the fight in youtube, and I would say that  Adam Deines is not a bad boxer, and he is winning the 1st round actually until he was caught with the right from Beterbiev in the last seconds of the fight. It was not a solid punch, he was just touch and he fell, that is the power of Beterbiev. But Deines really shows a lot of heart, even hitting Beterbiev with his power left but it Artur has a solid chin and keeps moving forward. Good showing by Deines but not good enough.
I would not say that he won the first round, just the first half of the fight developed according to the scenario when Deines tried to attack in the first third of the round, and then Beterbiev with his tight punches seized the initiative pinning Deines to the ropes of the ring. Many times it happened when Daines seemed to miss a lot of punches and then exploded with a punch or a few punches in return. Deines deserves respect for his resilience, but his only hope lay in some random stray punch that could lead to a knockout.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 20, 2021, 10:28:08 PM
And match ended 1:1. On 94th minute, Sevilla goalkeeper Bounou scored a goal and let Sevilla to take 1 point from this game. Goalkeeper scoring goal - it's something what doesn't happens every day.
Recently Sevilla aren't playing very well. Today I even got impression that they don't want to qualify to Champions league, they want to go into Europa league and win it again lol. Seriously, I think international break now is good thing for Sevilla, considering that they won't have any players in Spanish national team.
It is not necessary to immediately get into the Europa League, first you can earn a little extra money in the group stage of the Champions League, and then, according to the old worked-out scenario, win the Europa League Wink The rescue of Sevilla was incredible, not only that the goal was scored by the goalkeeper who came to someone else's goal, but before that the ball almost went out of bounds and after that it also hit the goal post from the side.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 18, 2021, 11:58:42 PM
For the European Champions League, Liverpool still has a good chance to be qualified. At least, we can see the chance of Liverpool to be back in the top 5 on the table. I really hope that Liverpool can be consistent to get maximum points in the remaining matches. Moreover, if the injured players can come back soon to the Liverpool squad. They will be a big support to rank up on the top 5 again.
No one denies that Liverpool occupies an inappropriate place in the standings for last year's champion and the team undoubtedly has reserves to improve the game and, accordingly, the results due to the return of injured players to the main squad. The most important thing is that Liverpool is unstable in results in its current state and all the anti-records for losses at home are broken. But I believe that even in the current squad, Liverpool should do the result, because in lost matches, poor defense is mixed with a vague game in attack.
2388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 18, 2021, 11:49:56 PM
It's true that only Manchester United have managed to score a goal from all the British teams, Manchester United deserved to win and qualify for
the next round. Unfortunately Ibrahimovic has just recovered from injury, so he cannot play from the start of the match and can only enter in
the middle of the second half. Regarding the Arsenal match, it was very clear that they were more focused on defending and trying not to concede
2 goals, boring match from Arsenal. Very different from Arsenal's game when they beat Tottenham in the Premier League.
Every team has successful and unsuccessful matches, but as they say, just for a beautiful game, victory is not given and the score on the scoreboard is the most important thing that happens in football. Ibrahimovic said after the match that he was disappointed with the outcome of the game, but urged to think about the next match. I was disappointed with Tottenham, who did not play with due responsibility and left the Europa League.
2389  Economy / Economics / Re: I wamt to know everybody know that collapse amd finamcial crash coming on: March 18, 2021, 11:39:47 PM
Financial and economic crashes happen all the time. It's not like it is something new. Unless it is something really serious, the crashes are just short term and usually recovers really fast. Just like last year. Look at what happened to the economy due to the pandemic, but right now. It is very much stable.
The problem with the theory is that you cannot predict when these economic crises are serious until it hit them and if it was easily predicable everyone would have been cautious before the global financial crises hit. We are aware that the pandemic has created an economic slowdown and it further put economic burden for everyone and it will affect the economy in the short or long term and you cannot print money and overcome these and the speed of crises depends upon the economic policies they undertake during these hard times.
I absolutely agree, all experts in this industry and just sensible people already see perfectly well that the global economy has been experiencing crisis phenomena for quite a long time, but thanks to the economic measures in the policy of quantitative monetary easing that the authorities of the leading economic powers are taking, it is possible to delay the crisis itself. Everyone is well aware that it is time to curtail quantitative easing, but they are afraid of the consequences for economic growth, and then there is a pandemic with lockdowns.
2390  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: March 18, 2021, 11:31:13 PM
In my country Covid-19 impact is so bad. My country is not a developed country. Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the economy in my country.  The price of each commodity has increased 2 times or more. The situation of poor, middle class and lower middle class very bad.  If such a situation exists, I think there will be food shortage in our country.  Besides, as a result of Covid-19, also the value of my country's money has decreased.
Everyone is literally struggling with the pandemic and even with vaccines there are new strains coming out and we have no clarity whether these vaccines can help when the virus is mutating which means we need to wait much longer to go back to normal. I am not having any food issues but my salary is cut in half but the expense are still the same which is making things difficult and hence i am forced to sell some of my cryptocurrency assets.
It seems that the absolute majority of vaccines present on the market should still cope with coronavirus mutations, and it is not for nothing that many vaccines use two-component compatibility. According to the vaccine developers themselves, if the vaccine is already developed, then it is much easier to make adjustments to it due to mutations. The most important thing is the scale and timing of vaccination of the population, and without this it will be difficult to improve the standard of living of the population that has fallen due to the pandemic.
2391  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: March 18, 2021, 11:21:24 PM
$60k to 30k drop or simply 50%? Actually the market could really give out this kind of crash but of course that would really be corresponding with some negative sentiment
or new or events that do happen in the market.Im not saying it is just healthy but these kind of price crash does indicate something wrong. If we cant see any possible
reasons after that event then you would really have those kind of doubts which you can tell that it is way too manipulative. So when you do deal into this market then
be sure that you are ready with the possibilities because it can really happen even people do day that it is impossible.
Those who have been engaged in bitcoin for a long time or at least from time to time are interested in it will not be surprised by such a scenario, because the events that took place in the market in the past years have already accustomed players to taking into account the most diverse and incredible scenarios of development. Negative aspects are always present in any phenomenon and this cannot be avoided, but in the bitcoin market, such moments can lead to disastrous consequences for the exchange rate due to the relative youth and immaturity of the market in relation to other traditional market sectors.
2392  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 18, 2021, 11:11:20 PM
We do not know if the Nigerian government actually has cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, perhaps it disqualifies Bitcoin because it does not want its people to emerge towards a totally deflationary economy and achieve their financial freedom, in every government it is convenient for them to have total and absolute control of each economic movement, if cryptocurrencies enter they will see it as money laundering, then it is not appropriate and if a country that has inflation problems is unsustainable, I see it from that point of view, perhaps it is wrong, but it is simply a assumption that it can be real, and that is why it disqualifies it, the more ignorance it is sown, for them the better.
I think that the main role here is played by concerns about the impact of bitcoin on the monetary policy of the state through the central bank. The financial authorities of the vast majority of countries in the world have already formed effective tools for monetary policy over the years, and therefore are very wary of new things like bitcoin. Therefore, some confidence on the part of such structures will be present, but the most important thing is that this does not lead to prohibitive measures.
2393  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 18, 2021, 11:00:22 PM
Indeed, there are newcomers owed to this pandemic. I have the same experience last year. My colleague suddenly contacted me about how to transact with bitcoin as she knew that I was into crypto even before pandemic. I usually don't approach first explaining what crypto is or how to transact with crypto, because normally, they won't listen to you. But times has changed. A lot have had time last year to learn more about bitcoin or crypto because they were stuck at home and they were reading some good news about bitcoin. And the good thing is, they have seen its rise and up to what it achieved today. So yes, this pandemic brought a lot of positives in crypto. Even financial institutions and large companies are now involve in this industry.
I would not say that financial institutions and large companies have started investing in bitcoin precisely because of the pandemic. It's just that the time has come and the big players have begun to mature for such operations. Any new thing must first win the trust of the market and only then can we talk about the scale of the phenomenon. If earlier the main role in the market of crypto assets was played by private investors, now they began to add large players such as financial organizations and large companies, and by the way, for this period of time, I have much more expectations from entering the market of large financial organizations.
2394  Economy / Economics / Re: "Looks as if #Bitcoin is eating #Gold". Good idea to buy some Gold now? on: March 18, 2021, 10:53:21 PM
Yeah bitcoin has definately gained ground.  There will always be a space for fine metals and gold is king.  For me I always think buying any long term investment amongst a nice dip is always smart.  Buying multiple asset classes is smart.  No need for full exposure with just one asset and leave yourself apt for some wrecked years.
The classic rule that you should not keep all your eggs in one basket should be the law for any investor  Wink It's just that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have now been added to the classic market assets such as bonds, stocks, and precious metals. One thing, of course, will not replace the other, and you should not have any illusions about this, so the diversification of the investment portfolio and the determination of the shares of assets in the portfolio should be the main task of the investor.
2395  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: March 18, 2021, 10:46:47 PM
Everyone thought that a year after Covid 19 strike, everything would start to look normal again. No one has anticipated that this will be longer
LOL I dont think that was the case. But when vaccines started coming out people were really seeing light at the end of the tunnel. But reality is that those vaccines needs to be produced and people vaccinated fro that developed vaccine to have any affect. 70% of all world population will defiantly not get vaccines this year. Hopefully next year. Catastrophic would be if even next year we would not be able to protect everyone.
This is always the case when you plan to do something one thing and in one time, but in reality everything turns out completely differently and in a long time. It is true that at first it seemed that the situation would be resolved quite successfully in a year, but reality always makes its own adjustments. Now, if the situation with vaccination is bad in your country, then the most important thing is to endure until the summer and the natural improvement of the epidermal situation, and then by the fall to be fully armed and make a large-scale vaccination.
2396  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: March 15, 2021, 11:49:19 PM
Some of the information that I got from people, the most fatal effect of the vaccine is death and I got the news that some people have died from it. The news spread among health worker and made some of them refuse to be vaccinated. But they have no other solution when the government force them with threat of being kicked out of work.
The most important problem with some vaccines is that they are new in nature and with all the necessary trials, the scale is still quite small. It is also worth considering that just by virtue of the law of large numbers, accidents are much more likely due to the use, but this is a problem with any drugs, because there are no absolutely safe drugs. As for tough measures against doctors who refuse to vaccinate, the reaction of the management bodies is understandable, because doctors themselves contact a lot of people and if they do not agree, then as responsible and decent people they should resign themselves.
2397  Economy / Economics / Re: This last rally Leg has been also bought by retail? on: March 15, 2021, 11:39:43 PM
It is interesting to see the charts around 2012-13, 2016-17 ans 2020-21. See the stock to flow chart in black feature, it clearly states the period when bitcoin halving happened after which bitcoin has been raised both in the price and market cap very swiftly and like a straight wall. Best to notice huge amount of USD inflow happens during the year end and its multi-fold just before and after the halving happens. I am going to take the reference of this for my next investment plan during halving which is around 2024.
Whether the last leg is bough by retail or large pvt corporation for the investor like me they are big bone and motivation. Number one thing they will not allow the bitcoin market cap to fall down so yeah the whole analysis is cool.
I am not sure that the tools of conventional market analysis are applicable to bitcoin due to the fact that the market is new and immature and the influence of many additional factors that do not and cannot have an impact in other market sectors. We can and should draw parallels with previous periods, because we need to focus on something, but no one will be surprised if everything happens contrary to previous experience Wink Personally, I'm not surprised by anything and I'm ready for anything, because it's bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
2398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 15, 2021, 10:47:56 PM
Although there is still a chance to win the Scudetto, in my opinion it is quite difficult for AC Milan and Juventus to catch Inter Milan's point while at the peak of stable self confidence. They managed to get away from AC Milan and this is a great opportunity for them to make it even easier. No longer hope that AC Milan will be able to overtake Inter Milan, it is really difficult to achieve. Whereas previously they were strong candidate. Lastly, they lost to Napoli and have made me give up hope in him. AC Milan is currently really missing the opportunity to win the Scudetto this season.
Oh, yes, Milan's defeat made it very difficult for the already difficult task in the fight for the league title, and not only that, it now gives Juventus a chance to beat themselves on the lost points. By the way, Napoli now plays Juventus in the next round and can also take away points. I don't think Inter will avoid losing points in the remaining matches, but both Juventus and Milan in their current state do not look like teams that are capable of producing such a long winning streak. Although I personally would like to see the intrigue in the fight for the title Wink
2399  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: March 14, 2021, 11:59:24 PM
Also there is an expatriation tax related to renouncing citizenship, and the amount of Americans who live abroad who renounce there citizenship is around 0.06%, suggesting that it's just not worth it financially to undertake such an extreme measure. U.S. citizenship is worth a lot, which is something people who gripe about taxes don't appreciate fully.
People may complain a lot about the taxes, but very few would take drastic steps such as changing their residence or even citizenship. In many of the Californian cities, the total income tax (federal+state+local) easily amounts to more than 50%. But I haven't heard about large numbers moving away from these cities to take up residence elsewhere. People tend to flock to places where they have the potential to earn big, even if the tax levels are high.
People will always complain about taxes, because money is always small and it is human nature  Wink Let's not forget that with a progressive tax system, the level of taxes is proportional to the level of income, and if a person earns not so much, then accordingly not so much and loses from the level of taxes and vice versa can even receive social assistance from the state. A much larger part of the population moves to other regions of the country or even to another country not because of the level of taxes, but because of higher earnings.
2400  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: March 13, 2021, 11:59:10 PM
Well, to be honest, if digital money is created in the world, that is, the USD is put with Blokchain technology as China intends to do it, it is a way in which banks would begin to be displaced, because people they would like to have full control of their money without going through third-party permits, in this case only a wallet would be used and they could make the money movements that the person wants, that way if we could think about living without banks.
All this speculation about a hypothetical life without banks is based only on the role of banks for storing money in the account and conducting transactions, which does not show the whole picture. It is one thing when you manage your own money and quite another thing when the available amount of money you do not have enough to make an expensive purchase or to conduct business. But here special financial organizations such as banks come into play, which accumulate funds and are engaged in issuing them to those in need of money and take on all the risks associated with this.
