2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: May 24, 2023, 07:23:57 AM
How will a "Survey" help to prevent those actions?

Most people lie on surveys, so you are not getting accurate data from those surveys. The ToS specifically restrict certain countries from playing on those sites, so people are not just breaking the rules that are stated in the ToS, but they are breaking the local laws of their country.

So, if people stick to the rules, then situations like this will be prevented. The sites must just make sure that the users specifically acknowledge that they have read the ToS and that they will abide by it.

I see Stake.com have recently forced people to "tick" that they have read the ToS, before they can enter the site.  Wink

Survey to me is nothing but a waste of time because of the work load that would be lay on you and the stress and time taken before it ended, yet it's not encoura by any means because it's not a measure good enough to tackle gamblers into a good moral conducts, passing through survey will make them loose interest in gambling on a particular gambling platform, gamblers hardly cope with the KYC challenges and introducing this again will not help but discouraged many from enjoying full access in gambling, some casinos may lost gamblers through this.
2382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: May 24, 2023, 07:10:21 AM
You should always remember that no player has unlimited resources to gamble with.
And we're no celebrities that has got millions on bankroll and they don't even attempt to do this strategy. Or if they do, they can afford to do it as they've got a lot of money.

But then, it all goes with how much we've got even if someone who's careful has got millions ready to be gambled. It's still unsure if this is gonna be the strategy that he'll do.

Well, if you want to lose quickly, this is the way.

I imagine you’d get banned or asked to leave from casinos if you were using this strategy as well. They might let you go for a bit, but if you’re having any sort of success then I can’t see a casino allowing you to continue playing. It’s just not a good thing to be doing in general. Even when you win there are possible ways for you to still lose.

It's a matter of choice, being a celebrity or not, being poor or rich, gambling using martingale strategy is what we develop interest with individually while some gamblers don't even admit such pattern to be used all because they believed it's very risky and hard to win, but even if you make use of the common techniques and patterns as well, you will still discover that gamblers looses while gambling, aren't something wrong with those patterns as well or is it the gamblers that have something they have to prove on while gambling using a particular pattern.
2383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: May 23, 2023, 03:42:23 PM
Bitcoin futures are actually very difficult to predict even if the investment is very optimistic, it will take a while to get to $80k. Despite the dominance of private investment in cryptocurrencies for several years, the market has not seen any boom in cryptocurrencies in recent times. Many predicted that the price of bitcoin would surpass $50,000 by the end of the year, but even though it was not predicted at the time, the price has dropped significantly. If you wait patiently you will see something new.

Just as no one expect the bitcoin price could go dip as $15,000 this year, same way we cannot predict what may happen tomorrow or before the month ends, bitcoin is very volatile as we all know, the demand and supply can not be quantify accurately thay our own prediction goes along the real state of the bitcoin market, knowing this alone, we can believe that before the end of the year, we may not get to the $68,000 all time high but we can get close to it, the only event that can take us further this limit is when we are close to halving or after the experience which is believed to be next year 2024.
2384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Family is the bedrock of the society on: May 23, 2023, 03:34:24 PM
OP has emphasized the importance of parental influence in shaping children's behavior and values. He highlights the need for parents to set a good example, provide guidance, and correct their children promptly. By prioritizing strong family bonds and actively parenting, we can raise children who contribute positively to society.

Our parents have acted their own part, now left for me and you to choose on what we want, where we want and how we want to go through the whole process in life, we also cannot undermine the role of our family in our lives because they are the ones that stand for us in times of trouble when friends and other people have left us alone into agony, what they will enjoy with us are the good moments but run away when things turn around bad situation for us.
2385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: May 23, 2023, 03:27:40 PM
Parents that are of age, what do we think about then? Do you think they're eligible and learned to learn about bitcoin? Talking about ageing parents of 70, 80, and 90s. Looking at the current world parents don't like their children to be exposed to internet maybe because of their past experience of scam threats or they've trade something similar to bitcoin in the past.

What benefit does bitcoin have the senior citizens than to use their money to feed themselves and invest it for their children to inherit, when someone is going old, he should be conscious that things he once do before can no longer occur again because of the rapid change in nature due to old age, by then they should only be considering the investment into bitcoin as a safety means to hodl their asset down for their children to meet and not for themselves any longer.

Do you think our ageing parents are into crypto investment or trading? Some of them are sound and intelligent and they can comfortable operates their tabs while relaxing. If they're probably into crypto why are some of them advising their children to diseased from internet?

Older people aren't into bitcoin trading because there will be lots of errors and mistakes they will be doing which may cost them loosing their money or develop a heart attack through fear of missing out or lost of asset, there's also ongoing scam that can set a target on the old ones because they may not know how to defend themselves from any of these form of attacks while coming, if you want your older ones to live longer, don't even bring them close to bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
2386  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is every body absolutly responsible for the outcome of his or her future? on: May 23, 2023, 03:19:34 PM
Is every body  absolutely responsible for the out come of his or her life,

Everyone will be made responsible for the way he or she had lived their lives because we are no more babies that needed to be spoon feed in anyway, we are matured and can think for ourselves what's right to do from what's wrong, no one will see fire and wish to stuck his hand into it and get burned, so also are we expected too in taking care of ourselves because we have this life in us as one and not two and wouldn't want to live by regret in some of our decisions today and later in the future.
2387  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: May 23, 2023, 03:00:45 PM
65K Last year record price ever !

I think this year it might be full 100K Final bullrun for the coin.

Everyone is targetting the next year halving and we believe to see more coming through this on bitcoin price, since we have $68,000 as the all time high ever, there's more possibility that during the next halving in the year 2024, there will be more opportunities for the crypto market to rise higher about the ATH and many have even predicted that bitcoin is going far above $100,000 this time around, this calls for more investor to choose and hold bitcoin on or before this season for their maximum profitability on investment made because bullrun is certain.
2388  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All bad - like the main one? on: May 23, 2023, 02:53:06 PM
Just like oil and water, good and bad don't mix well. That is why when the leader is bad, most of the people already expect that the team members are also bad since the good members won't last or stay good for long. They either get detached from the team or get influenced by the majority and then turn into something bad as well. The same goes for the teams that have good leaders. Which is why we always need to be mindful of the people we surround ourselves with because we can only end up getting isolated or getting influenced if we choose the wrong company.

But there will always be a way out through a separation techniques that will distinguish the food from the bad, the shaft from the grain, it may take a little more longer for the process to be achieved but it's not going to be denied, bad people are everywhere, you can find out that it's the leaders that are bad in some situations while the peopleay be the ones being bad in another settings but our stand being upright will judge right and vindicate us if we did not join them in doing the right things the wrong way, because there's always a recompense to everything we do in life.
2389  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Food dragging at events on: May 23, 2023, 02:47:12 PM
Anywhere you go and see people dragging for food is not an avenue to laungh at them but rather a challenge to help them because they are in hunger, if you look into the society today and see that rate people are stealing and was oppotuned to ask one or two people the reason that led them to doing such act, they will respond to you that it's hunger and nothing more, frustration in huger will lead to desperation for looking for a survival means, an average citizens must at least in a day have access to good food and clean water, but everyone was left on his own to find a survival means both the good and the bad means, those that can't steal are the ones found in this category of begging for food in ceremonial events.
2390  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: THE CONTROVERSIAL INCIDENT BETWEEN SEUN KUTI AND POLICE OFFICER on: May 23, 2023, 02:34:47 PM
D police for our country don reduce themselves to almost Man O' War becos I see how some people dey happy sef say the guy slap the police man becos Dem don dey on the receiving end for too long.

The ever first mistake one could do this time is to allow the public see the dirty secret of what you've done in the past being exposed to them, they will take advantage of it and further expose you in some areas you least expect, add more additional allegations on your case just in other to shame your disgrace in the public, the police inbthe country cannot be trusted in making the right and necessary action as required, their personnels have been found lagging in this area of their behavioral conduct, this was part of what led to the police brutality saga on END SARS nationwide protest 2020

Seun na big man pikin and had it been say dem nor record am, him family for use their influence sweep everything under the carpet. Wetin dey pain me pass be say these people when dem go Yankee, dem nor go fit para for police like this o, dem go behave themselves but wen dem come back home where them Sabi say dem fit do any how na so dem go dey buga.

His mistake here is that he allowed the public to get a video clip of the incident that happened, if not there could ne er be any means they can charge him to court without an evidence for the assault, now they are detaining him the more by adjournment of the case in other for him to linger more in custody, what a politics.
2391  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: US Don Knack Visa Restriction on: May 23, 2023, 02:21:10 PM
Finally US don impose visa restriction for all those politicians and other people wey dem catch say dem try scatter our presidential election for February1. Wetin dem do, dem intimidate voters, dem follow to manipulate the results, dem carry thugs to go snatch ballot box, kidnap INEC staff, bribe the electorate etc. Most of these terrible people already get family for US or dem like to dey go there go run one or two matters. As e be like this sef, we never see any list and dem nor go release the list to people wey dey affect. These people go know when dem go embassy wan to apply for visa.

Taking Steps to Impose Visa Restrictions on Individuals Involved in Undermining the Democratic Process During Nigeria’s 2023 Elections Cycle
The United States is committed to supporting and advancing democracy in Nigeria and around the world. Today, I am announcing that we have taken steps to impose visa restrictions on specific individuals in Nigeria for undermining the democratic process during Nigeria’s 2023 elections cycle. These actions are specific to certain individuals and are not directed at the Nigerian people or the Government of Nigeria as a whole.

Under Section 212(a)(3)C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, these individuals will be subject to restrictions on visas to the United States under a policy covering those believed to be responsible for, or complicit in, undermining democracy. These individuals have been involved in intimidation of voters through threats and physical violence, the manipulation of vote results, and other activity that undermines Nigeria’s democratic process.

The decision to take steps to impose visa restrictions reflects the continued commitment of the United States to support Nigerian aspirations to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.

As much as I like wetin the US don do, e go still make sense if other countries like UK, France, China, Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Korea and all these other nations fit do the same. But e go hard because even some of these other nations dey benefit from these guys big time. E go also make sense if the visa restriction fit touch their family members as well -  their wife, children too.

Shey una agree say visa restriction nor dey enough. Which other measures una feel say dem suppose add to this visa restriction?

https://ng.usembassy.gov/taking-steps-to-impose-visa-restrictions-on-individuals-involved-in-undermining-the-democratic-process-during-nigerias-2023-elections-cycle/

The United States cannot make such law enactment into action because they also realized what they will be loosing at the cause of this, by now we should be familiar with the economy and political propaganda they make to the media but were not being made effective in the reality, it is not possible for the United States to lay restriction on the country base on it internal affairs since we are no longer under colonial era, this sanction can't be effective because they will also loose part of their economy progress realize through international commonness and relationship, when I heard the news I'd thought about it that it may not be effective because they will be affected through the international ties we had together.
2392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 23, 2023, 01:44:46 PM
If it's a project I'm willing to hold for years I will read the white paper, look at their dev team, roadmap, historical price action before buying.
I also look at coins with promising tech and a strong community. I mostly invest in alts that I find interesting.

The question here is more about the parameters you take or how you conduct your own research before choosing a coin to invest upon, just as we all know that there are many ways we can conduct our own personal research while ensuring that we beat down the risk level to the least and bearest minimum of possibilities before we go for one, we must ensure that we make adequate consultation on any coin before investing on them in other for us not to risk loosing our asset of investment in those coins we've chosen, we shouldn't hold as well for too long.
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: May 23, 2023, 01:10:15 PM
The main criteria for me to avoid scam project is we need to increase our knowledge about "Crypto" and not ashamed to ask people who are smarter than me (expert or the people who has more experience than me). And if the project offers something that doesn't make sense it's definitely a scam.

There's much expected of us to take as necessary steps against falling their prey for any projects we are moving in for, even though everything is al about taking risk but we shouldn't as well see the risk and purposely go for it, we have to narrow our research on them, know the kind of developers they are, their mission, what they are offering, their duration of contract project, their financial situation, liquidity, market cap and other past records on successful delivery before we go for them.
2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask Implemented Crypto Tax on their ToS on: May 23, 2023, 12:46:06 PM
So is anyone seen the pop up on their app regarding the newly changes terms and conditions services?

A post here on Twitter emphasized that metamask would withhold taxes on users. As a decentralized non custodial wallet, I think this would break its concept means they are gonna do kyc to identify wallets for taxation or they just gonna cut some tax based on trasaction made on metamask swap? Have anyone tried or seen an option when using it? Its not also clear on how they are gonna do this per country with different taxation regarding cryptocurrency.

I think many would be alarm on this but Im thinking they are doing this to suffice their partners on the industry to avoid being targeted to violations by SEC.  Anyway metamask is a business after all. Any thoughts?

Alot of things were already happening these days giving us more concern about their authencity, how could a decentralized wallet be active ing like a centralized one, or maybe this same thing is what others have been milking from is in every of our transactions unaware to us, there need to be a revision on this and we must take it very serious that the trust and privacy confide in them are not brieged upon, but this tax of a thing is a big contention now.
2395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT OR MEMES on: May 23, 2023, 12:11:38 PM
I don’t think either have long term viability as good investment choices if I am honest. I do however believe that NFT’s are going to do nothing other than trend downwards from now on. Meme coins have the chance to occasionally pump due to FOMO & VC’s artificially pumping them. It’s possible to profit from them if you get in & get out at the right time. I don’t think either are good, long term investments though.

Then should we call it an over curiosity or lack of understanding that males some venture into NFT these days when the scsm is fast increases in tokens unlike before, they are just a temporary showcase of the project overview yet to come into an establishement, some of their developers only uses them to test what's coming or that they should expect, some of this projects fails, even some memecoins fails as well not to talk about the tokens.
2396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 23, 2023, 11:09:17 AM
Gambling is mostly ban in some area which is not practised except it is done without the awareness of the government or people knowing about it. Whatever results we get from gambling, we should be ready to admitting the result since we are not forced to go into gambling. Those that are making money from gambling are doing that because they are prepared for whatever outcome the get from it whether is for a lose or it's for s gain.

On the other hand, luck smiles on newcomers. About bans - bans breed illegal casinos, which can be bad enough for players. Illegal casinos can lead - due to their criminal nature - to various serious problems for players, including non-payment of winnings.

Gambling ban is not common in most countries because it depends on the government in place, some of th support gambling while few does not, we also have the challenges from the individual gamblers who cannot maintain peace and orderliness in gambling than to cause violence and fight at the cause of gambling, all these are what the government look into and put i consideration to ban it in other for them to reduce the rate through whic people abuse the use of gambling the negative way.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 23, 2023, 10:39:49 AM
One thing we should settle with is the fact that self control a lot of aspects of our daily life and one needs to know the right time to apply self-control to avoid losing out, one of the major factors that aid addictions is the inability to users to make up their mind to quit when the going becomes tough.

Someone who is not taking his life seriously cannot gamble responsibly, in fact it will now get worst in gambling because such person is the type that have no self-control, while that is very important and needed in gambling, we need to be serious with our lifestyle and how we behave in general, too much of everything is bad, also which means there's moderation to how far we can go in doing things in other for us not to loose our relevance at the cause of its pursuit.
2398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: May 23, 2023, 10:08:28 AM
It depends on what an individual interpret gambling to be in his own understanding, some make fun and I'm doing this during the leisure time, they bet on something after which they have sustained alot of argument from the discussion, which is also a physical form of gambling as long as money is involved and they have made a bet to seal it up, if money is not involved, it would be termed only an argument but once you argue and put money on the outcome anticipated for, it's a form of gambling, that's why you will not see a gambling platform that will not require from you a staking amount for your bet, wxce it's not gambling at all.
2399  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: May 23, 2023, 09:53:30 AM
Now there is a lot of cheating in live games in the casino. It would be nice to create games with fairness control so that everything is transparent.

This depends on the kind of gambling platforms you're using, most of them have built a wall of resistance against any attempts from the gamblers in cheating them, the system will definitely fish out such user over time and they may be sanctioned, the gambling casinos also need to maintain their security network with a food financial backup and the type of operators they have employed to monitor their system also matters, because experience is a perfect teacher and if it's the casino that you're not trusting, then try to closely observe them before concluding on the decision to take.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 23, 2023, 09:40:31 AM
So a Politician who is also a great businessman then decided to be part of the most trending market in the world as of now, what's wrong with that?
Who is stopping you to own a share or part of a gambling company if you are licensed and paying all your taxes. I don't have any problem with this.
I don't see anything wrong with a politician having there own casino or having there own gambling platforms. It may be very wrong or against the law in some countries but here, there is nothing wrong. What I know is that the politician would not want the public to know that they have shares in a particular casino or owns it. A politician that is a business man would not mind creating there own casino, allowing gamblers to make bet and earn if they keep making winnings.
This is a private enterprise and a politician have the full right as a citizen of a country to have shares or have there own casino ones they are paying there tax.

Anyone can have a gambling platform fully operational as long as he has interest in doing such and have the experience needed as well, irrespective of the profession we are handling, we can still own a gambling platform but that doesn't mean we should have one through an illegal means by making government funds diversion on our own personal interest and business than directing them to the appropriate chanels for national building, money embezzlement is common with the politicians but that doesn't judge the fact that all of them were involved in this kind of corrupt manners.
