~ If wallstreet history and culture are portrayed accurately, it could make for an interesting learning and entertainment experience for the public. Similar to Leonardo Decaprio in Wolf of Wallstreet. Is there anything that Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX bring to the table that hasn't already been covered by Wolf of Wallstreet? They have a polygamy angle and league of legend until you pass out binge sessions. What aspect of the story are they planning to focus upon as the most compelling component. Will Sam Bankman be portrayed as a sympathetic character or a misunderstood superhero given that they hired producers of the avengers.

I get the feeling that hollywood has tried to transform stories like FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried into blockbuster hits in the past. Although I don't remember specifics atm.

I think in an 8 episode series they can cover everything, his biography, his personal life and, of course, the business. I am a big fan of Everything Everywhere All at Once, a film produced by  Anthony and Joe Russo, so, I'm already expecting the release of these series, I'm sure it will be well scripted and produced. And since it's currently unnamed, I want to suggest a name for it. I would call it "FTXed".

~ This kind of gambling is always fun because these animals fights in the circle of human, have you been involved in this kind of animal gambling or have you watched such game before. Can such game be in the casino?

I respect other cultures, and I think it's none of my business what they are doing in their countries with their animals, but I personally would not be staying among people watching animals fights because this scene isn't something I'd like to watch. I hope such game, I mean, betting on live animals, will not be presented in any casino I'm playing in.

2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: November 25, 2022, 09:28:13 AM
~ I do not think it should be public knowledge, because sensitive financial information like this... should be protected.

I agree with this. Once a big casino declares its funds, it becomes a target for criminals around the world. Info like this shouldn't be public.

I would want to see a trusted and independent financial audit be done on the casinos, to validate their holdings... even if this was only done to establish trust that the deposits are safe.  Roll Eyes

Something like this is done all the time, no? I think online casinos are constantly audited by government authorities and/or other 3rd parties, but I'm not 100% sure of it.

In any case, there's no "Domino Effect" for online gambling industry caused by the current fud is happening now, nor will be happening in the near future, that's what I'm sure of.
2386  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Games' RTP, variable?? on: November 24, 2022, 10:16:42 PM
~ But I've been always thinking that that's what regulators are doing. They have both, time and money, and it's their job to verify the fairness, in our case the stable, unchanging RTP, no matter what.

For example, I heard that licencing authorities use an algorithm to predetermine the result of all spins on a slot, within, say, 10 million spins, to make sure the RTP is the same as stated by the slot provider. Was it just a rumor, or are they really doing this?
It would mean the RNG of the slot is not truly random and the game can be cracked somehow, so I really doubt about that. A good entropy/randomness is also a protection against players, to avoid being tricked and exploited by them or by anyone. Anyway I don't think casinos would accept a slot game where you can guess the result of the next spins. As ultraBTC said "Any past event doesn't have influence on future event. In other words, if your chance for a jackpot is 1:1000000. On every spin it is still 1:1000000, no matter if jackpot has been won seconds or months ago by other player.", in other words it must work in the same way as a roulette where the same number can be drawn several times in a row.

I will try to explain how I see it.

Imagine you have a physical casino called "Coin Toss", and what's going on there is people betting on either heads or tails, and you claim that your coin is not rigged, and that it's always 50/50 and stuff.

A guy comes to your casino and loses a lot of money because of betting on tails and martingaling and getting 13 heads in a row. He claims your coin is rigged, making a complaint to the authorities, and they decide to conduct an inspection. They take your coin, they toss it 10 million times, and see that it's not rigged, that the result is 49.9999% heads and 50.0001% tails, and they leave you alone. Now it is proven that your business if fair, but no one can take advantage of this information. You can't abuse it, right?
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 24, 2022, 10:46:14 AM
~ Don't expect free spins will give you a good reward since that was free after all.

But if you are playing slots with your own money and trigger the free spin while you are playing, expect good rewards from it and even big multipliers and bonuses.

I'm not aware that there are sites that give free spins, I mean literally free? Am I right about what I understood in your post?

Actually, there are many gambling sites that are giving away free sips, and those spins are "literally free": whatever you win from them is yours with no additional wagering requirements. Check out twitter accounts of the established gambling platforms, subscribe to their telegram channels, Reddit and stuff. As I said above, you won't make a living from that, but it's a nice bonus. Wink
2388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: November 24, 2022, 10:17:38 AM
Hello guys, as an attempt to protect new or old users on this forum , I think its mandatory for gambling sites to show proof of money they are holding in reserves  . ~

Gambling site is not a bank, nor it is an exchange. Most gamblers, more than 90% of them, deposit on a gambling platform only what they can afford to lose. They are not like "The more money I invest in it, the more profit I will get." Only sick people think that way, only so called "problem gamblers" see gambling as some sort of a business, and, fortunately, there's less than 10% of them among gamblers. So, can it be mandatory for gambling sites to show proof of money to those people, to problem gamblers? I don't think so. Those people need professional medical treatment rather than "proof of money", something that will likely only worsen their condition.
2389  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China playing with fire on: November 24, 2022, 09:41:54 AM
the reality is even worse. they are actually attempting to devolve to the communism era where they nationalise everything and you own nothing but nothing good is actually distributed again. if you dig a little bit onto the way China tries to stop COVID, it's not even within its intention, instead, all about absolute control for the regime. what's even more frightening, is that some countries are trying this way under the narrative of environment.

The ruling elite may want to return to "communism" because it's very convenient to rule over many millions of people, or should I say "slaves", with that system of governance. But the thing is that it is too late now. People of China have been enjoying all the delights of the Western civilization for too long to be withdrawn from that easily. If the Chinese government wants to play this game of a formally communist state it's one thing, but if they will try to "nationalize everything", people will rebel against them, and they know it.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: November 24, 2022, 09:03:30 AM
I am expecting as everyone that price to hit 100000 dollars a Bitcoin for sure. I am expecting some new adaptations with crypto through world. In 2024 I think crypto adoption will finally increase a lot, many people will start to use crypto in everday life. Possibly 3x more than today. I also expect some exchanges to fail through this time even if Bitcoin keeps going up. Fraud exchanges will definitely keep dying.

The industry is being cleaned from malicious actors as we speak. Slowly but surely, crypto will become a trustworthy place for investors and traders to "hangout". New things just need time to mature. By 2024, it's expected Bitcoin's price will increase as the number of coins earned per block will be cut in half. Just because there was a major collapse from the world's second-largest crypto exchange, doesn't mean it's the end of the world.

Of course, there's also the issue of the Russo-Ukraine war and the COVID-19 pandemic. But I believe crypto (especially Bitcoin) will emerge stronger than ever after the tide is over. The future holds many surprises, so we can only hope for the best. Just my opinion Smiley

And yet for some reason many people see FTX's collapse as something similar to the world's end. Don't they know what happened to the first, to the number one Bitcoin exchange at the time, Mt. Gox? What was the price of BTC at the time of MtGox's collapse, and what was happening to the price during the following years? If they don't know, they can google about it, and all the info will lead them to conclusion that they have all the right to be optimistic about the times of the next Bitcoin Halving.

How many points you get so far for the World Cup Predictor promo guys? The current leader has 24 points already and many other participants with 17-22 points. I get 11 points only, what a bad start for me. Of course the chance to win something is still open for anyone, because there are bunches of prize to grab in this promo including the daily prize. Hope to see some of you manage to win something in this free promotion and dont forget to submit your prediction on time, dont be late Smiley

I don't know, it doesn't look that bad to me. I think you are doing great, actually. I myself got only 6 points

But I'm not losing my hope. Smiley As I see I missed 2 rounds already. That was really bad of me. Only got my points from this prediction of mine:

I will try to not miss more rounds in the future(if Russian rockets won't kill me. hearing huge explosions right now.)

2394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: November 23, 2022, 11:16:53 AM
~ in essence, no technique is truly effective. so the important point is, one must know when to stop and when to start again and the most decisive factor is luck.

Luck is not the most decisive, but is the only factor in purely luck-based games like dice, roulette, slots and such. In poker and sports betting, on the other hand, luck, according to many gamblers, plays a lesser role than skill.

On the contrary I agree with rahmad2nd that luck is the most decisive factor.  Ever watch a boxing fight where the least favorite got an upset win via lucky punch?  Also, basketball game where the leading team loses due to missed free throws while the opponent got the loose ball and sink in a basket in a long throw shot.  Even in blackjack,  a guy beating a 20 cards due to him getting lucky to get a card that will make his card deck 21, and poker with initially good cards.  Luck is the most determining factor that can change the result of a game.

Before reading your reply I made a post today about luck being a big factor in sports betting. I don't think it's the most decisive one, but it's definitely significant. And I just read the rahmad2nd's post again, and I still think that he started from sports betting and then moved to purely luck based games. Therefore I replied the way I did.

Overall, if we think we can apply some "techniques" to games like dice, we are doomed.  Cool

Not at all  Grin.  If we know when to stop, we certainly can avoid that doom.

True that. As @South Park has pointed out below: "The only strategy that works on games that are completely luck based are money management strategies". I totally agree with this.

I am also not a fan of Money train, I never had a good win from that slot, the first time I got a persistent collector (was playing MT2), the bonus game died out after 3 rolls lol, not even a single save.  On the MT3, I watch streamers often get rekt.  And most of the time if they buy the highest option, they were given the persistent collecter and when they got a sniper, the bonus round often ended with just 3 spins.

Well, that's surely not my experience with MT2. As I said, I'm a huge fan of this slot. Not trying to say that it's a money-making machine, but I personally, just because of luck, in profit from playing MT2. My highest multiplier was around 700x, and I had lots 100x+ playing this slot.

~ That is the most hated point of Money Train bonus rounds, it just dies after 3 small multipliers without opening new room for more multipliers. Buying the highest bonus means one of the persistent multi features stays during full bonus round but the disgusting part is it can go dead for 3 or 5 rounds. I usually prefer to spin slots instead of bonus buys, MT3 is volatile so I stop chasing bonus after 300 spins usually.

Yeah, me too. It is more entertaining to actually play the game than to watch a flick about you losing money. Smiley

It is well known fact that a lot of Twitter employees are leaving the company. Now the news that Tess Rinearson, who was made the head of Twitter crypto team has made a tweet stating that he is leaving the company. Many other people in the crypt unit of Twitter space also followed her and announced that they will also be leaving the company. What impact do you think this will have on crypto space in general ? I am sure they must be working on crypto inclusion on the platform in some way and now when they have left the decisions will be delayed in this matter.

It will definitely have a bad impact on the crypto market, just like any other negative crypto-related news. The question is, what crypto enthusiasts can get out of it? Well, they can be buying at the prices no one could even dream about when BTC was around $70k. Once again we find ourselves in this situation:

$20k - I'm not buying, the price is too high.

$3k - I'm not buying, it's going to zero!

$70k - ...

Hello guys,

As the World Cup is about to kick off this weekend, I've gone through the football-themed games on Bitcasino.

Here are the ones I thought you might enjoy Smiley

Table

Slot

Did I miss any? Have you played any of these before?

Also, which team are you rooting for? Cheesy

Cheers,
Karl

Hello, Karl

Yes, you did miss at least one football-themed game on Bitcasino platform. Smiley

It is  Football: Champions Cup by NetEnt
It's a fun game to play. At first it looks like your basic slot game

But once you get 3 of these guys , you can start doing penalty kicks and being on the place of a goalkeeper by turns,

with that nice sound of a big audience rooting for you. Since the only skill you can apply to this game is luck, I wish you more of that, guys. Smiley

I even invented  a slogan for this bonus game: "Save and Score, Get Chips Galore!"

I feel like stake is such a famous place that when there is a scammer who would like to steal money, they may end up using Stake to whitewash that money away, deposit here, gamble a bit, and then try to withdraw somewhere else, which would be sort of like a semi mix of bitcoin basically, and of course there is no KYC here neither, which would be easier to confuse others, but of course Stake could just say "the account that deposited from X withdrew that money to Y" and it would be all over for them.

It’s just a fame issue, not anything else, Stake is too famous to be ignored when there are things like this going on, not saying it is true or not, but it wouldn't shock me.

You nailed it, mate. Stake is a very popular online casino, and for a reason. Not only they can promote themselves effectively, but they also have an amazing reputation among gamblers. When you mention Stake in your article, you are likely to get more attention, that's it. I stopped being surprised by seeing the name Stake in an article quite some time ago.

I heard that in some countries smoking scenes in films (even the old 60-70s where everyone smoked in any situation) are subject to the effect of "blurring". That is, you do not see a cigarette  Grin
Sounds like complete nonsense! At the same time, the scenes of the murder and other things remain. Such censorship is very funny, since the movie is supposed to reflect life, but when I see a "blurred" cigarette in the bandit's hand, I want to laugh.

I hope it won't come to that with gambling streaming. Imaging seeing slots blurred on Twitch, or wherever, when streamer is going "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! I need another Scatter!!!". It's like listening to porn on the radio, innit? Smiley But seriously, it would be ridiculous, let's establish that.

After those words I would like to add that I would be happy if they found a way to prevent minors from watching those streams.
