2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: September 20, 2019, 12:19:14 PM
I profited in Dice game since I started again this year 2019 but not all the time when I play Im lucky they have time that i lost. I used strategy in Dice and im still losing sometimes,  I thinl Dice game is base on your luck and you don't have luck on Dice game so your money already lost. I really love dice game but I think you need to have a decision if you still play or leave.
What was that strategy that you have used? I know one strategy that's being applied on dice game but it has been proven by majority that it's not very effective and riskier than we ever think. So, I'm thinking that it isn't the strategy that we know.

Results do vary and those gamblers that can make it on long term are really into it and knows how to manage the risk. All sort of factors must be taken care of into consideration including luck.
You have a very good point. When it comes to gambling, I think results vary and it is always falling back to luck especially in Dice games. I sometimes wish everyone can be like me, I mean I enjoy gambling without applying strategies and I feel this strategy stuff is always like a distraction.

Strategies has a way of making one so relaxed believing that the game would definitely turn out well because something unusual has been applied to the game and in most cases, it turns out the opposite way because it is never guaranteed and at the end you would realize that this is all still tied to luck. But gambling without strategies makes our hearts even well prepared for the uncertainties that is attached to gambling and in a way, we agree with ourselves that the game is based on luck and this way, luck is drawn to our favor.
2382  Economy / Economics / Re: The Bitcoin Giveaway Project on: September 18, 2019, 11:31:00 AM
You don't really have to do a giveaway to convince people to make use of BITCOIN. To me, it's a waste of time and money. Those people you give that money are just going to look for ways to sell it and get the money, that's all they are after. I will advise you to just give them lessons on Bitcoin and allow them to make their choice. Whether they want to invest their money or not , it is up to them to decide.

Majority of the people that joined Bitcoin is just because they are looking for free money and when they don't see it, they quit. I have seen a lot of them, just like my friends, all they needed was money and they couldn't get it. So, now they have all lost interest in cryptocurrency. You don't owe anyone, just tell them about Bitcoin and you can also tell how useful it has been to you. If they want they can do more research on it and also decide for themselves.

Your thought about giving popular people or celebrities to create a video of their experience using it is good.
Yes, I have seen some celebrity-comedians do skits on bitcoin, just like Hannah Stockings. The skit shows how a lot of people view Bitcoin as an investment and she on the other hand was trying to convince them that Bitcoin wasn't meant just for investment. You really need to check it out on YouTube.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When altcoin price increase on: September 17, 2019, 04:38:30 PM
This incident is due to the influence of investor confidence. when the price of bitcoin rises, many investors only focus on the coin, and altcoin is not attractive to them. Moreover, market conditions are not yet clear, so investors prefer to maintain the security of their funds. when bitcoin goes down, of course a lot of panic of altcoin holders, because when bitcoin goes up, altcoin doesn't follow the trend of btc
It was not like this in the past until we lost the security in the altcoin market, you know that apart from speculation, one more thing that use to affect the price of altcoins is people's mentality, in the past, when altcoin was still booming, people believe that when the price of bitcoin is rising, altcoin will also rise and when the price is dumping it also dumps.

What you see before is when altcoins starts to rise, people also quickly put money in altcoin, thereby actually making altcoin to rise, but ever since people lost interest in altcoins as a result of scammed projects and the attitude of some team to the projects by allowing it to die, they all relied on bitcoin as the only secured asset to have now and hold, as it is not being controlled by anyone, which makes it kind of independent.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 17, 2019, 08:37:45 AM
when we gamble the fact that most of the time we already accept before playing that losses will be on us so accepting this are already cause for not computing our losses
Anyway when we are newbie in gambling we tend to think something like this but not on the long time specially when maturity in betting is on ours
We always accept defeat and winning is purely celebratory and no time for bad reminiscing
Not everyone plans to lose before gambling maybe e you should see that as a point of correction. I particularly hate to lose and regardless what I win, that loss which I consider as failure continue to linger and this might really take me so long before I get over it.

This is the reason I always get myself well prepared before I begin a game. I hate to lose, if peradventure I loses once, I might take me over 10 wins before I get over the previous loss. Money aside, there is probability of winning an amount that would recover the old loss, but that feeling of a loss remains with me, till after some months but it takes some period of time and its usually Months. I think the only people that ignore loses and move on too quickly are those who are prepared to loses.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 17, 2019, 07:23:51 AM
If gambling is forbidden in your country, obviously you will not be gambling.

You are not just neglecting your responsibility in your religion but you are neglecting the belief your family and your society has shown to you.

Don't gamble if you know that it is not an activity you should do. If an Islam wanted to gamble, better quit being an Islam so he can do what he wants. It is not just dirty money but dirty personality you will be having if you commit that forbidden act.
Yes. Like my religion will say, you cannot serve God and mammon. If you are for gambling, then stay for gambling and if your religion is against it, then flee from it. There is no point living a double standard life and living in confusion.

If the reason to play is for money, there are other ways to make money, mustn’t be on gambling alone. I dislike it when people live a confused life. If my culture or belief was against gambling, I would not have any reason to be a part of it. The above poster has explained better on this, that will be like a stain on your personality, so you are advised to quit and focus on your religion.
2386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Less than 0.3% of the world population owns more than 1$ worth of BTC on: September 17, 2019, 05:16:39 AM
There is one great phrase that explains the crypto trend today. It sounds 'Money makes the world go round'. That's why people just hold coins to sell expensive and forget about the true purpose of cryptography. I am afraid that this trend will not kill the main mission of cryptography - freedom
It would take regulation to really make the real reason why cryptocurrency was created to manifest and I don’t  really see the government doing anything about that for now and I think the reason why government has even gone a bit soft on bitcoin or cryptocurrency is because they have seen it as a system that people are  just using for asset purpose and for trading which feels like it's no longer of a threat to them when it comes to cryptocurrency because people are not really using it for the utility purpose of it.

I think that we need to start encouraging most business owners to even first of all accept to integrate bitcoin payment system. That is the way to start because many people are complaining now that there is no platform for them to spend the crypto even if they want to.
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of Bitcoin is starting to weaken, is it now the right time to invest? on: September 16, 2019, 09:10:29 PM
As it stands now, bitcoin price is unpredictable. The steady fluctuation of price is affecting altcoin to skyrocket. But surely bitcoin will hit $20k before this year end. You can invest now, if you wish to
I reserve my comment, you have to tell me things that you have seen that makes you feel that bitcoin will crossed over to the all-time high of 2017 because most of the project that are major ones  which would have contributed to the growth are all scheduled for next year, and the halving also would be next year, I have not really seen any significant factor that I can vouch for and say this will surely make the bitcoin to surge this year, and the end of the year is just months away.

I know that the last quarter of the year is always a very great year, but no matter the goodies in it, the highest they can help bitcoin push up to will be $15000 and I think that is still more reasonable as I dint see much things that will make bitcoin hit bull run this year.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: September 16, 2019, 08:37:20 PM
I think that the wealthiest people usually hide their personality. Bitcoin gives them privacy so i don't think that we will hear their names.

Naturally, most of them will stay incognito. Most of the heads on the leading projects like Ethereum, NEO, Binance are among the richest people that have cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, the crypto market has such people as Tim Draper. He started thinking about cryptocurrencies fifteen years ago when he met a guy in South Korea who bought a virtual sword for his son for cash. Draper bought BTC for the sum of $ 250,000 while the price was at $ 6. Now he has about $ 500 million.
I am not even sure that the main people that have money in cryptocurrency is even known because just recently, I saw some threads on how someone moved about 1 billion dollars within the market and that would surely be a transaction that belongs to one person, or it could be group of person anyway, but people really have money in cryptocurrency and they are extremely rich people which you would not even know.

I would not also be surprised if we have some government money in the bitcoin market also because we would have some that would believe in it but will have to carry out the transaction is covert way where it would not be much known to people. I hope that one day, I can also join the group of richest people in cryptocurrency.
2389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you buy National Lottery tickets with Bitcoin in your country? on: September 16, 2019, 08:07:20 PM
I  cant buy almost anything legal with bitcoin in my country
Sorry to intrude into your privacy, which country are you talking about because with the little that I know about cryptocurrency, you still cannot buy much with it because there are no much vendors or merchants that has integrated the payment system, we are just beginning to have few big merchants like newegg, shopify and some coffee shops using it around the world, so statement of buying things legal with bitcoin anywhere is strange to me.

If that is true, then we have found satoshi, and satoshi must be the president of your country to have gotten that legal backing for everything to accept the payment of cryptocurrency. Before we would be able to attain that stage where we can buy everything legal will be when the government has passed it into law.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: September 16, 2019, 06:33:03 PM
Thats true no govt has made Bitcoin transactions illegal. Even China where BTC mining has been banned I believe people are doing BTC transactions. This may be a big manipulation. BTC value is stable for last many days after touching year's low, there is no new money flowing into BTC, any statement in favor of BTC can increase its value drastically and there may be situation which may get out of control. Bitcoin will not be declared an illegal asset I believe.Lets see what is written there for its future.
China only did that just to play politics like the way Facebook played politics with most of us as regards their own Libra coin, and they were all against every advert on cryptocurrency in their page while they were actually planning on their, when china came up with that idea of banning miners, I knew they were really up to something and I guess they are doing that to limit the strength of mining other coins since majority of the mining was from their country, while they give chances to their own coin.

If they ban mining, how do they intend to mine their own cryptocurrency that they are working on, because they cannot show that sign of being biased to ban other mining while there is going on within the same country.
2391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is successful? - this one statement sums it up! on: September 16, 2019, 04:50:40 PM
Bitcoin can be successful because whales support it. People with economic potential, dreams of changing the investment trend of the world. Those who have created Bitcoin's success can be known as heroes of Cryptocurrency.
I think the most important aspect of the success about Bitcoin is that of it decentralized process of existence among all other cryptocurrency. Its just a project with success and never attached anyone to the success, no controllers, no intimidation from owners, a technology that give freedom for all to be their own self bank and have full control over their wealth. Sometimes, Bitcoin wonder me about it success when I see other coins struggling with the regulations and government, like Libra coin.
That is a false statement, whales do exist but the popularity of bitcoin is not achieved by whales, bitcoin is famous for many things, rapid user growth, makes prices explode and that's what makes bitcoin more successful. Whales does not give any contribution to succesfully of bitcoin, but they can actually worsen bitcoin itself because the action is only concerned with their interests.
Although whales have their own positive side also, but the damage that they later cause to the market is something that cannot be comprehended. If there were no whales, the market would have been growing without seeing much panic sell that usually do pull the price of bitcoin down.

Whales started this problem since 2017 when they suddenly entered the market to make some moves that was not in line with how the market should have moved, they pumped money in which made the value surge and most people fell for it out of fomo, and that was the weakness that they saw in us that made them dump the coin and many of us panicky sold into their hands, but despite all their manipulation, bitcoin still manage to survive and that is the success story.
2392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is happening now? on: September 16, 2019, 11:00:00 AM
After 2017, people lost a lot when they invested in altcoins. Now people have become more cautious and prefer to keep money in bitcoin.
Now it's just that people believe in Bitcoin more than in alts, so Bitcoin's dominance is high, so I think next year the situation will change very much
That is the key because I have seen that people likes to  dwell in past glory a lot and they like to always attribute the present to the future. Majority of us need to start analyzing the market critically so that we can understand what happened in that 2017 and how that is missing now.

I know the drive for 2017 which was the ICO hype then, and this made a lot of people worldwide to know about bitcoin even to some villages, but because many were new to it, they invested at that peak time, and this till date is still discouraging people and shifting them away from making more investment until their previous ones is being recovered, and coupled with the fact that ICO market has now become fully bad in terms of bad project which is also quite very disheartening.
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: September 16, 2019, 09:51:59 AM
I hope there is a possible chance for BNB to cross its value more than 50$, due to Bitcoin fluctuation the price of BNB price is going up/down. Binance is launching different platform in order to improve their standards as well as Binance reputation and this makes many people start believing BNB coin.
Let us wait for the last quarter of this year first before we conclude, you know that most of these coins that are within the top 50 usually follow bitcoin in its growth, and binance had already reached 435 before bitcoin dominance pulled it down, so within the last quarter of this year, I expect bitcoin to grow to some value that is higher than the previous once and or back to the last $13800 we saw as the last high for this year so far which will make the price of binance return back to that $35.

This same quarter is what I expected that bitcoin will go on consolidation, which will give the altcoins their own privileged of dominating the market and once they start their bull run, it will be obvious that binance coin will even grow higher than that $50 we have as doubt in our mind.
2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is other altcoin value on: September 16, 2019, 07:38:22 AM
a lot of altcoin will has no value in the future my friend
because people's will always focused on bitcoin,
only a good altcoin with strong team and community will survive buddy and the other will gone
What it makes things sad is that some of us think that altcoins are dead already and they are jumping into Bitcoin. But not totally it gives a huge impact to Bitcoin price cause it is still at low and never saw it moving high above $14k this year.

We could say that investors today are different from those early adopters, they are quite considering for a long-term investment which until now many of them are still holding altcoins. They don't lose their hopes cause they believe that there is a perfect time for altcoins which they may be right and this is I'd see in new sets of investors today.
These early adopters believed in the project because satoshi pushed the project to an extent where it became independent, most of these altcoins didn’t push the project to the level where it can become independent before they leave it and allow investors or users to do the rest to extent of leaving the users to do the publicity for them meanwhile it does not work that way.

You will not blame investors that are complaining and given up, they gave them chances to prove themselves by staying but all in the end was disappointment, is it not the same investors that invested in other coins that are still in binance? How come they have no dumped binance and still with them waiting for future development and growth before the think of taking out their investment.
2395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 14, 2019, 06:01:29 PM
Even investing on Bitcoin itself doesn't guarantee profits because no one can predict on what would be the future looks like but somehow

looking at the current situation of bitcoin which is mainly being supported as the main crypto then we can presume that it would really have that
bright future for longer runs.As an investor it isn't really avoidable not to think about alternatives to have the possibilities on earning more that's why
we do end up on risking into other choices of coins in the market.
I don’t think you know so much about Bitcoin if you do and if you have followed the history, you would know that it the best, safest and most profitable form of investment.  The only requirement for Bitcoin is patience and this is where a lot of its investors miss out. Bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme, you can’t put in your money today and expect it to have multiplied in the next few weeks, only few people get lucky with such, when they buy low and it starts to increase immediately.

Smaller coins are risky, I would prefer to buy the smallest of Bitcoin than to buy coin that I cannot be sure of its tomorrow. Bitcoin might be volatile but profit is always guaranteed.
2396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 14, 2019, 05:17:29 PM
That is usually the case in PH because we are more of basketball enthusiast here. Football is not that hype as we all know that these sports can't just be played at the backyards or streets. Even with the popularity of Azkals PH in Asian tournament, it didn't really give much of a boost in terms of football popularity in PH.
<...>

You’re right. It seem to be that PH has the finest or more on in sports of basketball that’s why it’s my first guess that slipped in my mind. Me in myself I don’t know that football has the most popular sports in the world this thread just happen to help me and make myself to do research on it.

One also reason why football soccer isn’t popular in PH is lacking of soccer field to played with. Like what you’ve just said we can’t play football (soccer) in the backyards or streets. So yeah, atleast I know now what’s the most popular sports. Tongue
That there is no soccer hype in PH does not me you are blinded to the fact soccer is well dignified worldwide. The only game that brings the world generally together is soccer, how can you not be aware that football is the most popular sports in the world? Have you heard of fans calling themselves a particular club member and they get the jerseys and other items for recognition from other member when they meet outside. This is how big and united soccer supporters.

I have long known that soccer has the most supporters, it also has more players compared to other betting games and didn’t need the thread to make me understand.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 14, 2019, 04:37:58 PM
Livingston is known for his injury and his very good midrange jump shot but nobody really remembers the connection between those two. If you ask people they will tell you that they remember the injury and know his injury but they have no idea about his past.

Before the injury Livingston came into the league as a guy who drove inside very well, quite athletic, dunk like a mad man and also pass very well, he played point guard at his height because he was a great passer, nowadays they make people play SF and call it point forward but at that time he was a point guard. After the injury he never got his hops back so he worked on his midrange like crazy, he locked himself to the gym and made thousands upon thousands of shots every single day until he was recovered, so when he came back he may not have the dunks he used to have but at least he got that wet midrange we all love him for.
2398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think of the next crypto wave/pump? on: September 14, 2019, 03:14:28 PM
Honestly, I am still confused on what will be the push factor for this next bull run that we are expecting and without that factor, we may never see the bull run because it would not come naturally expect something triggers it, we all know what triggered the last ICO, it was as a result of the platform that Ethereum gave to many project and many projects were able to utilize the opportunity to raise fund for their products until scammers came for it and destroyed it.

Binance is still trying to come up a bit with their IEO idea, but the hype is not strong enough to create the pump. Let’s see what the bakkt would do, if bakkt have no effect, then we have to wait for the next halving of bitcoin next year and when Facebook would release their own coin also, let's see if that would trigger the alts market.
2399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: charge fee for IEO listings on: September 14, 2019, 02:29:27 PM
I think they are asking for a huge amount of Money if they are respectable enough like binance, gate.io or kucoin.

But for other small exchanges probably way cheaper.
Yeah, small exchanges are far cheaper and this is the tactics that binance and all those big exchange too are using to attract genuine projects to themselves, you will notice that major of these small exchanges re full of cheap coins ,because even an ordinary student could just come up with an idea now and feel like raising fund, it would be easier for him to do so because the amount is cheap on those low exchanges, but with big exchanges, only genuine projects can afford to list on them, although we have some of those exchanges that their fee is just too much, and I think that they are just exploiting, but for binance, I think the fee is still fair enough and is worth it for the services that will enjoy from whatever platform binance is giving to them to work with.
2400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance maintenance, the market lost 25 billion dollars on: September 14, 2019, 01:40:31 PM
I know Binance is the largest cryptocurrency trading platform in the world, but is "Binance offline" the reason for losing 25 billion dollars of the market?
In years to come, if they have such issue, they would even loose more than that, the losses we are talking of is the profit that they ought to have gotten from the trades that would have happened within that space of time they were down, and binance is not only the ones loosing, there are people that would lose their trade too, those who are using binance platform to trade or have money inside binance wallet and linked to another trading platform.

What binance would even loose would be nothing compared to what all traders would lose at that time, but unfortunately, they can never avoid things like this because there would always be need to carry out Maintenance at a certain point, and because the market runs 24/7 unlike some sites where you have to do at midnight when people are sleeping.
