2381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upliftment of Crypto Ban of Nigerian Banks on: March 13, 2022, 10:51:47 AM
Upon the ban of the currency, Nigerian youths still use the currency effective.

To my greatest surprised, Nigeria is one of the first five countries in the world having the highest number of bitcoin users and yet it government haven't come to the realization of this huge population of crypto users and think a way out to adopt it or reinstate back the access to transactions by it financial authority.  While their E-Naira digital fiat is nowhere to stand before the mass adoption of bitcoin in the country among the teeming  youths.

It's obvious that their government really didn't know what will be the impact of bitcoin and the rest of crypto to their economy. Just look at the numbers in Nigeria, it's getting traction since 2017 and yet government are trying to ban it? Doesn't make sense at all. Anyhow, for sure those statistics will continue and maybe if some liberal are going to sit on some higher and influential positions, their could be a change of stance.

Maybe they know but they don't want their people to get a better life because those corrupt cannot use them when election came, we know this types of politician always use the poor people for their own gain so I guess they will block all of things which can possibly make other people advance and they maybe hate crypto because they can't control it.

We should all try to make sure that we are doing this to have fun. We may win and have more fun, or we may lose and have less fun but there is no situation where we try to aim for just profits and try to find a way to beat the house which is mathematically impossible and still get out victor.

Of course, slot and in-house games are just for fun, and a player should control the risks and avoid gambling addiction. I am more than sure that many understand that. At the same time, it seems to me that every player still dreams of finding a strategy that would allow him to beat the casino.

Only newbie believe that there will be a working strat for them to beat the casino but in reality its hard for us to find this since for sure we will spend a lot of money first before we can find any suitable gameplay for us to enjoy the game. And also addiction will only occur for newbies but once they got experience and already see the huge risk for sure in long run they became more cautious about their bets and be more careful upon believing on certain hyping.
2383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happened to my motivation on: March 12, 2022, 01:55:05 PM
CONCLUSION
I guess my issue now is, where to find my motivation or enthusiasm for cryptos because, most of it is gone. If you've got any story or clue on how you got back up after falling in this regard, please share. Your thoughts on how to stand would be helpful and you can be rest assured that I would be paying a keen attention to this thread. Its my hope that others in the same predicament can learn and be encouraged by the thread and the responses that would follow. Thank you.[/left]

You are just upset on things which you didn't understand because its really hard to understand how people survive on their start up as well how we can earn faster on it and also you don't have any supporting people around you that's why you get demotivated. Maybe for now since youe are on demotivated stage best to research back again those informations you needed and go back on those things where you made a mistake since from there you can learn something useful to you. Also find a group of people which have same interest with you since this will be fun more fun if we find friends online which share the same likes and ideas.
2384  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency is too small for Russia - Binance CEO on: March 12, 2022, 11:56:03 AM
CZ makes it appear as if their decision not to ban Russians in Binance is because of their commitment to fairness, freedom, or crypto. No, it isn't.

The truth of the matter is that CZ is not imposing a blanket ban on Russians because there's no legal order to do so. Such sanction is not in place right now. Should there be one, however, or "if governments introduce new sanctions that include off-boarding users then we will apply those aggressively as well."[1]

Be warned!
Good take, I honestly thought that he's giving the benefit for Russia because he has decided not to ban users there. But with all of those analysis and facts that I've read, there's really no need for him in doing so. Thus, there's also the right information about him being half Chinese and China is an ally to Russia.

though we don't know the absolute truth about his decision. but most of these Russians are against with Putin. and if the crypto exchange will turn down these regular Russian users, then, how can they cope up with the impending crisis in their country? they are also humans who want to survive after this war. and one option to store their assets right now is via crypto.
but it is true, there is no legal sanction towards these crypto exchanges regarding acceptance of Russian clients, so why would binance or other exchanges block these russian users?

Putin is just worried about future war that might happen against western countries that's why he really put a hard action towards the decision of Ukraine to join NATO. Putin doesn't want to see Ukraine will be the entry point of western country if there's a war will happen.

For having this implementation I guess it will not help nore can hardly bother the government but instead it will just add the fire that might back fire to them so cz is doing good for his decision and its best not to lock the accounts of Russian citizens because its so unfair to them.
2385  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 12, 2022, 10:43:07 AM
~snip~

You see my friend, Russia was prepared else they would have stopped their troops when delegates were sent to make peace but even within that period, they were still penetrating the Ukraine. I'm really looking how this sanctions will end though it doesn't make sense for the innocent business to suffer because a leader was mislead by his factions.
Many people depend on their business to feed, give sanctions to the persons holding power and not the man who see politics as a dirty game.

They know how they can create impact to the world that's why their government is so confident about their action towards Ukraine and look what happen to gas price now its sky rocketing and if this war continue for sure the influence of Russia will dominate this and maybe we can see the inflation rate of many countries will became more higher because the gas price is so high and uncontrollable at the moment. I do hope those sanctions will not create another huge conflict between other country so that we will see this war ends.
^ It is now getting worst, they cut down their global internet access.
This should not happen if the Russian president is not a selfish leader, look at their citizens now it suffered from this decision that they even don't like or don't know. It is becoming expected that the economy get worst and worst when the war will continue and Putin will not lower his pride. People, there should boycott against this leadership, everything has been affected, businesses like the gambling industry and the entire economic growth on each country.

There are group of hackers are attacking there system so maybe this contribute on their decision to disconnect in the world. And I don't think this will really help because its like their citizen is slowly living like north korean life. Also they cannot boycott their government right now because Putin is so strict imposing the law which is favor to him. Maybe both countries should lower down their prides so that they can return back the freedom of each countries.
2386  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 11, 2022, 11:57:30 PM
FUDs have always been campaigned since I got to know cryptocurrencies since 2013, when the bitcoin price skyrocketed from under $100 to more than $1000 and many FUDs said that bitcoin was the biggest speculation of the century so that the price dropped again below $100 and I also became a victim of FUDs for selling all bitcoins i own and not active in bitcoin till 2016 or more than 2 years.
I guess we will only feel that FUD if we are not so confident with what we are doing, like the weaker hands, they can easily be affected and they'll drop. It's a very effective strategy for the whales because they can cause panic to the weak hands and that would be a good day for them. However, we should not give up easily if we make some mistakes, our maturity will lead us to access, and that will only happen if we learn from our past experiences, especially our mistakes.
FUDs are only affecting those who have less knowledge on the market and would turn into FUDs and hypes to look for go signals to trade or invest. Though we also need some hypes in the market to make the coins pump, but relying on them will actually bring us into more losses than to have real gains. If you tend to believe in every FUD that comes out in the market, then you are no good for nothing. Learning should always be our top priority so we will never fall into FUDs and lose everything we have.

Many have less knowledge about how market will go that's why we can see that if there's a fud the market will easily get affected and go dump just like what happen these days and for its past happenings, but the advantage of experience people is we can react accord to what will happen next and we can take position to earn when pump is happening so this should needed to learn by newbie who's starting to build their trading career since if they always get affected with the fud for sure end the end they quit and think about they are been scam by crypto.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: March 11, 2022, 01:57:02 PM
There is a possibility that the NFT trend has started to fall if you look at the results from Google trends and another trend may appear to replace the NFT trend. It has happened many times before and if this is indeed the end of NFT and Metaverse, maybe we need to get ready for a new trend to emerge.

Maybe it's time for bitcoin and altcoins to bounce back while waiting for a new trend to create a stir like the previous trend. But if you look at market conditions, it seems the market has also moved down. Is it possible the current downturn in the market has caused the NFT and the metaverse to also go down?

The NFT trend definitely is not going anywhere anytime soon, as far as I can deduce from my subjective point of view. We see trends go up and down however I think most financial or finance-connected trends will definitely be going down during these times. I think the world is in a state of panic with what is happening in Europe, namely Ukraine, right now, so its not out of the ordinary that NFTs are not as popular right now.

As far as the world of gambling goes, the near-future Industry definitely has a lot of potential regarding NFT's. I think we haven't even seen the beginning yet.

Time will tell.

NFT is at baby stage at the moment and many institutional investors, celebrity and other whales see a huge potential especially they see that there's a lot of money in that category so for sure we will not see NFT hype end up soon as for sure many will adopt the system it introduce to the people. Also with gaming industry for sure many game dev are looking to create a game in line with blockchain technology.
2388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 11, 2022, 12:17:05 PM
Are new investors patient enough to wait that long? I doubt that. That's why they are mostly in the meme section.
They are mostly in a hurry to make that big profit like they are being chased by whoever they took the loan from. Banks or their friend.
I like the idea of that long term thing but there could be changes in the strategy midway or even as early as possible if the bull market starts showing.
Selling to accumulate more.

I can't say every new investor doesn't have the patience to wait that long because one of my friends just invested a lot using his cold money to BNB one month ago and he said he will hold it for around five years. But yeah most of them just want quick profit or quick big return, I have a brother who wants to learn how to trade but when I ask him why he want to trade he answered me because he want to earn quickly in a month. In the end, I won't guide him from trading because of his bad reason.

If we base it on our own experience as a new trader we cannot really say that we can wait for long especially when we see the market is having a bad run which affect the whole cryptocurrency and for sure we will also get drag by the emotions spreading on the market. But if we experience the major high and lows then most provably we can take those challenges then can able to wait for our set timeframe for our investment son some coins out there.
2389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What newbies first crypto step should be on: March 11, 2022, 10:33:40 AM
Every newbies first investment plan is buying coins and tokens but imagine how better things will be if they can change that to buying hardware wallet first, Ledger nano s is 40$ while nano X is 149$, I know some will say it's too pricey, how pricey can it be when you lose all your BTC or other coins? Consider hardware wallet as your first crypto investment step.

You don't need to buy a ledger wallet since you are newbie just use the legit wallet providers around and safekeep your funds by not clicking any unknown links also avoid phising attempts.

Instead of buying a hardware wallet use it on other investment and once you grow your capital and increase your portfolio then by that you are ready to buy and store your asset safely, we know safety is main priority but you don't need this if you are starter since for sure you will spend a small amount just for your test investments.
2390  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 10, 2022, 10:18:07 PM
Russia is in deep trouble now. There is so much else for the Russian government to worry about than on the gambling industry. The sanctions and bans from all over the world is a stab in their chest. I wonder how the government is bearing all the pain of international sections and the trouble they got from around the world. The economic sections are going to affect a long way. I wish like the war has been cursed and the world tries to cool the situation down, the same would happen for other countries in trouble.

2391  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Aid/Fund for the needy people in the Ukraine/Russia War on: March 10, 2022, 04:01:23 AM
I was thinking that wouldn't it be good if some reputed members of the bitcointalk open up a fund for the needy people in the Ukraine/Russia War. The collection here can be sent to the ones who become homeless or have lost the means of earning money.
However, the trusted local Ukraine/Russian can verify the right usage of the funds and if this is started, it must be started by a person whom everyone could trust.
Let's discuss the possibilities and if this can be a good initiative?

Even reputable members can possibly scam people since money can change the stand of anyone and possibly they can think about bad things especially if they hold thousands or even millions of dollars if the donation campaign will became successful. Remember there are reputable members from the past who scam people here so I guess its really bad idea to do this and repeat this history again.

Better go on legit channels since there are so many foundations already conduct a charity works in the aide of Ukraine.
2392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading should be supported by goverment on: March 09, 2022, 10:52:09 PM
Trading should be supported by goverment
Also should be some kind of reward or insurance kind of system if you lose you dont lose your own funds but they are free this way more people want to trade.
Goverment can easy support traders with traders social support allowonce i name it tssa allowonce monthly to spend like 1000-10k or if you have business account then even more support

Nope there's nothing like this will exist since this could make a business creator lose their money since for sure many people will end up losing knowing trading is not totally a win game to everyone. That's why I guess we need to be settle on what law they give to us, for sure the only thing they impose is taxation and not the on you think right now.
2393  Economy / Economics / Re: Can crypto help Russia mitigate sanctions? on: March 09, 2022, 01:09:44 PM
As you know, the entirety of the Western world has been hitting Russia with an increasing number of sanctions. SWIFT, VISA, MasterCard, and so on. But, could crypto be the tool that helps Russia mitigate the effects of these sanctions?

They could use crypto if they want to escape those sanctions to mitigate the sanctions around the world but the question is how long they can use this option as government can also interfer this if they discover that russian government use this as their alternative. Maybe their best option for now is gold since no one can bother them to use this as gold can be use or exchange everywhere.

2394  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency is too small for Russia - Binance CEO on: March 09, 2022, 11:50:49 AM
He knows everything on that area as he can check the number of users in certain particular country and its good decision to remain neutral because if you cannot harm them with the action you do then for sure it will all back fire to you on what you did to them and its good that CZ will not impose this sanction to there citizens because this could ruin his business in long run if government will also do their action towards Binance. Crypto should remain nuetral on this discussion it needs more adoption so engaging on this kind of activity will just delay things or will result to banning.
2395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 09, 2022, 10:36:08 AM
Heartbroken parents say Hull teacher was victim of 'predatory' gambling industry. Whom to blame for this sad incident ?

Why not try to find the root cause here first. Where were the parents when their 16 years old son was addicted to gambling ? They should have monitored his activities and this situation would not have raised. You cannot blame the doctors on insufficient medical treatments when the son could have be taught at home to avoid excessive gambling. I would consider it a negligence on parents behalf as it was their first duty to keep an eye on their children.

The only one who's to be blame on such unfortunate incident is the gambler itself because he will not go thru that situation if he just moderate things. We know he's minor but for sure he can think already for his self if this is bad or good. And for continue to participatinf on those risky games even if he know he's not gaining anything also this already affect his daily activities in life. We can't blame their parents on this case since we don't know if they have other things needed to take care to as we know our parents is busy working or taking care of something important to provide the daily needs of their children but since this case already happen maybe its good for them to seek experts advise on this situation.
2396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 08, 2022, 01:16:06 PM
But seriously, it would be good for the organizers of the competitions, like Roobet to reconsider the concept of the competitions. Indeed, it is almost impossible to compete with strong artists. Maybe evaluate the idea (or other parameters, for example, the atmosphere of the art or the emotions it evokes) of the art more than the artistic performance?
The art competition is open to all and why would they set such perimeter which restricts good artist to participate? To contrary the best one should actually win the competition and if the team liked his art then it's completely fine. There are total of ten winners and you could see many different one on the list. You can also try giving something really cool and have a chance to win the rewards.I would also say the real competition comes with great artist and it will improve your work and provides motivation to be better.

Giving some restriction will just defeat the purpose of the contest, maybe its good to see how it currently run because for many months this contest running it always end up successful and we can see beautiful artworks came from good artist here. And for this I think there's nothing to be change unless many newbie account spam this contest and submit multiple or almost the same artworks.
2397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Share your costly lesson about cryptocurrency.. on: March 08, 2022, 11:53:11 AM
Been greedy way back year 2017-2018 to much token believing that they can pump more but suddenly all went down badly which I can't even imagine before and instead of gaining I earn zero because majority of the tokens I hold (ICO) died. Lesson learn from those experiences is never be so greedy upon holding especially those tokens in the market learn to take your profit whatever percentage it is and always think about profit is profit.
2398  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits Russia on: March 08, 2022, 10:52:14 AM
Russia knows the consequences yet they push it through just to prove to the world that they are powerful, but it looks like they are slowly failing. The inflation will rise more, expect a more sanctions and Russian people will suffer a lot. We already heard the news about panicking in Russia, I feel sorry for them since they can’t even protest to their own government or else they’ll face charges.

IKEA announced yesterday to shut down all stores and stop all production of furniture in Russia and Belarus. As a result, there was a panic buying in IKEA stores. Similarly, other Western companies will withdraw their business from Russia. It will be a dark time for the Russians. I have read in various threads that many Russians are now betting on China, but China may be able to cushion things a bit, but certainly not prevent the collapse of the Russian economy.
I don't know what Putin was thinking when he started this big war. It was foolish to hope that the Ukrainians would simply surrender without a fight, but that seems to be exactly what Putin was hoping for. The current 150,000-strong Russian army that invaded Ukraine had a dry ration for three days. Before that, this army was dangling near the border of Ukraine in the mud for several months and now it is a hungry, tattered mass, armed with the latest weapons. True, more and more often they leave their equipment without fuel and run away, or surrender. There are already more than 2,000 captured Russians in Ukraine, and their number continues to grow.
Russia's open and absolutely brazen attack on Ukraine caused an unprecedented condemnation of the countries of Europe and the whole world, as well as the most severe sanctions. Large current inflation is flowers compared to what awaits Russia in the future.

He knows what he is doing since he have experience in terms of going to combat but maybe he's down playing things regarding on those sanction that's why we see them suffering in some cases. But I don't think this will end up the war because it looks like this action taunt him to do more counteraction until Ukraine didn't surrender to them.
2399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 06, 2022, 10:23:10 PM

There's still a long way to go for this year to end and then 2023 will come. I'll save as much as I can and would buy bitcoin at the dip when the bear has hits  it again.

This year and 2023 don't look like bear is taking over. This year with what is happening with news about making bitcoin as legal in some countries, it is seem that if bitcoin is acceptable to the level of legal status, then many investors will buy and bitcoin will increase. The halving is also getting approaching by next year, the volatility will increase and the price may go more highs. Buying now maybe a good buy  Grin Cheesy

It looks like a bear but if we look at it this is short term only not the same like past years which heavy correction happens since now many legal matters happen and more institutional investor are now pouring money unto bitcoins so its good for majority to not get panic on some situation especially by now where war happens and it affect the global economy.

For newbie they should learn almost the basic and let those learnings sink on their minds because all what they go thru may be the learning experience to them.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 06, 2022, 12:11:42 PM
Really wish we can just finally see Spence fight Crawford.  That would be an epic fight.  Expecting Spence to take care of business here.  Hopefully they can work out the fight details to get the Crawford match done.  Would be one of the fights of the year if they can make it happen.

The possibility for that to happen is high if Spence will win this fight. There's no other opponent left for Spence to unify all the belts but only Terence Crawford. They can do it in September after the April bout between Spence and Ugas.

But I don't hype anymore with Crawford vs Spence due to lots of delays that happened to make that official.

Rooting for Ugas to win the fight as it's more entertaining to see an upset.

I think even if Spence will lost this fight they still have a huge chance to negotiate and make this fight to happen since we know Spence still one of the most anticipated fighter and pairing him up with Crawford will be a huge event in the making. For sure their promoters want this also to happen since there are huge amount of money can they get for that fight.

For now Spence need to stay focus on his fight since Ugas is a big threat for his career.
