2381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can NFT be used as an investment? on: May 08, 2022, 05:56:34 AM
Joke and crashgrab indeed which i do see fit the most precise definition out of this nFT hype on where i dont see these arts could really be that relevant or do give out good results in near future. Yes for some art but the odds on getting the right one is unknown and it all matters with hype and some sort of shill before you could potentially acquire good stuffs but in overall or the rest then i dont see any significant or usage just like on what most people been saying on here. Its a totally shitty thing which you cant really ensure or even treat it as a good stuff to be hold for long term.
If you notice carefully, the trend for NFT has died down as quickly as it started. The main motive of such ideas is to generate a huge hype to catch majority of the susceptible population and then milk their money as long as possible while they remain in oblivion as to what they paid for and how it is devaluing.

It will be worth watching if the NFT craze starts again in future and how it grows in future.

Pixel art and all that seems like a waste completely. Maybe someone can prefer buying them over renowned art, but I find that pretty low compared to what we trade on daily.
2382  Other / Meta / Re: OP posting easier idetifcation system on: May 07, 2022, 10:03:55 AM
I think such a system can be useful, specially in sections where the spammy replies outweighs the number of informative replies.

Often it can be confusing to keep track of the OP's actual replies in the thread because the number of posts replying to the First post is more than a single digit number. Some of the threads in the "Bitcoin Discussion" and "Altcoin Discussion" are made with genuine "coffeeshop-debate" idea in mind but ends up being a influx of a Black Friday sale. Cheesy

Hence I would support the "OP's" idea here.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How low can BTC go this time around on: May 07, 2022, 10:00:21 AM
I think there will be another retest at 40k and if it was a successful and the price goes above 40k then we can expect it to reach up to 50k it is surprising that in just a matter of month from its 60k peak it is now below 38k the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency really are volatiles.
Both sides are possible. It can be going down because of the dump induced panic selling or it can go up because of the bulls taking over. Usually the first one occurs faster before the second one comes in to correct it midway, so expect a dump back to 33k at which point bullish trend starts again. All this is from my own experience but dont use this as financial advise.

These are the more volatile times but the average yearly volatility remains between 10-15%. These are also the points where you can make a lot of money if you are knowing how to catch the buying drop and sell the rising wave.

I think the worst value in 2022 is that the value of btc is only around 35k$, but if it's below that it's difficult for btc to go up to 50-60k later, just my prediction sorry if I'm wrong
I would not use the term "worst" - but maybe "lowest" - because there is nothing bad about a price, it is just a number; an opportunity which you can seize. Like I would like a four digit price, so I could buy more, but someone else might not like that at all. Grin
2384  Economy / Economics / Re: Looks like markets are crashing ! this is it ...it's the big one ! on: May 07, 2022, 09:52:44 AM
Price of bitcoin did crash from 40k to 36k and is now holding at 36k. I guess this dump is temporary due to changes in some banking systems and nothing more to worry about. This could be a good position to buy but dont go all in right away, prices could dump below. I would personally like 30k to be reached so that my buy orders get executed and I am sure some weak hands here and there have started panic selling.

Whatever happens in the world stage, treat these as just numbers and buy/sell according to those numbers so you can remain in profit. That is the basis of making profit of this. It does not matter what is big and what is small, you have to profit off the movement.

2385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Signal to Start Trading and the Signal to Close Trading on: May 05, 2022, 02:39:32 PM
Trading is not so difficult as it was told. But the difficult part in trading is when to enter the market and when to Close the market. So when do you think one can buy or sell (enter) the market? Using the candle sticks to predict.
Supposing you buy at 30k and the price reaches 50k, you sell and get your a profit of 20k times your volume traded, does that really seem to be a complicated thing? Nope. But what is complicated is the timing for buying/selling and holding.

Most traders get washed away in the steps in between. Either they cannot hold for long for they back out too early or they sell at loss to stop the panic.

Point is that when you are entering into trading, take only that money that you can afford to lose. Then place the long term order with patience at hand. Allow it to be executed in time. Your range may be smaller like 40k buy -- 45k sell, but do that often by checking the price. You dont need to day trade but dont lose patience.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Lending System on: May 05, 2022, 02:35:03 PM
GM crypto fam, wanted to ask you about your favorite projects on this regard. In the past years some projects have tried to lend while having the handicap of liquidating the borrowers or having interest rates. New projects are emerging recently, such as Lendscape that offer zero interest rates and no liquidation. Do you know any other projects with this features?
I have seen ETHLend and SALT and another probably failed project like Meridian and Debitum capital which got sold off. If you ask me, all these projects failed to get enough attention because there already exists lending platforms in the fiat market which cater to majority of the population both borrowers and lenders.

Personally I like being a loan shark myself and have interest in such companies and therefore have been watching them for sometime. Least to say, I was eventually disappointed by the way they crumbled. I think the only legit and feasible op is running your own P2P lending scheme on a site/forum, get some regular customers and grow from that to a bigger operation. Sharks are already doing that in this forum and other places like Reddit.
2387  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentinian Government Ready to Take Advantage of Crypto Holder on: May 05, 2022, 02:29:38 PM
Argentinian Tax Agency As expected, The government will do the best they can to milk money from crypto holders.  This is the first time I read about the government creating a centralized record of the registry of the crypto holders in order to get tax on whatever profit the crypto holder has.
I am not sure how much of the Argentinian population actually pays its taxes but if the government is cracking down on it, there must be another side to it. Of course this is not implemented yet just that it might come in reality in future.

Quote
It looks like this is the start of the crypto tax collection exploit of the government.  I am sure after this one becomes successful, many countries will follow this example.  So we better expect that in the near future our very own country will do such a thing.
This is why I said about the currently tax-paying population, in most countries which are considered less-developed, majority dont pay their taxes properly. If the government suspected that people are using cryptocurrency to evade taxes they will take strict action.

Currently Indian government imposed 30% tax on transactions. This move was probably done to hinder people from taking part in crypto.

Quote
Cryptocurrency blockchain may be decentralized but the government seems to have its way of breaking its shell.
This will be interesting to observe. In my assumption they will work with all the locally running exchanges to collect capital gains data and tax people on the basis of that against KYC.
2388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop phishing: what is it, and how is my cryptocurrency at risk? on: May 05, 2022, 02:24:46 PM
Airdrops should be completely avoided by every newbie. The smell of free money is too difficult to ignore but it is a key emotion to control in order to be a successful bitcoin investor in future.

Some airdrop sites are made to scam people by asking their private keys and it is surprising to see how many people actually fall for this simple yet full-proof scam, not knowing that giving the private keys means handing over their coins right away.

Therefore any newbie who reads this, should put this in their heads, airdrop = immediate ignore and avoid. Anyone bugging you to participate in some airdrop, ignore them - remember that friends only exist in the real world, here everyone is trying to eat away your money for their own gain.
2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look what I've found on: May 05, 2022, 02:19:37 PM
Nice set of one-liners, do keep adding more to them when you come across them on the internet, I guess memes are the current form of such lines and not the old list that we used to see on newspapers. Lips sealed

About the "A lot of crypto" - I think people need to rethink how much allocation of a base currency has happened on each - in other words, the weight-age of every asset. Then only they can decide how and when to sell them. After all, one needs to accumulate bitcoin not altcoins.

About the months, I get the joke, every month is risky. You just have to flow with it. Cheesy And the telegram group line is apt.
2390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can NFT be used as an investment? on: May 05, 2022, 02:11:42 PM
Only few but not all. Did all of NFTs minted even get sold? No man but only some. You can imagine when you need urgent money and how can you sell your NFTs if none interested with your NFTs? Unlike the token that can give huge profit for anyone who can sell it anytime when the price reached the top. In NFTs even when the price floor is pumped but none interested with your NFT meant you won't be profited.
NFT market is completely unregulated and pixel art being sold for thousands of dollars seem like to a joke of a cashgrab to me. Definitely over an asset like bitcoin, I would never choose an NFT to be the store of my savings. They are ill-liquid and hypes pieces, not worth giving attention to, unless you are looking for the short term gain in selling a hyped NFT.

The idea that NFT could give power back to artists could have happened but not in an unregulated market like this. Innovative tech like this could have gone a long way but nobody in the industry cares to do that but attempt to set up get-rich-quick schemes based on them.
2391  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Scammer In Forum Who Want to Steal Private Keys From New Users on: May 04, 2022, 01:53:43 PM
He  isn't targeting those users who are much aware. Basically he is targeting the bounty hunters where most of them are not so conscious and their habit is to join any bounty what is posted in Bounties section. So it is common that any bounty hunter can easily get into this trap.
Moreover it is the bounty hunters who come in with half-knowledge about crypto, its nuances and different types of scams going on. They are easy to fool with a feeble scent of "free money" and gullible enough not visit this section of the forum often.

I do feel bad for those learn their lesson like this, but we can only make people aware and not stop them from getting scammed. For anyone who got scammed and now feeling shy to post in this thread, dont worry you are not alone, but let this lesson be the last of them all.

Flag supported from my end too.
2392  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: May 04, 2022, 01:49:58 PM
between the two have weaknesses and advantages in some views but in fact for novice investors who want to avoid high risk, then gold investment can be the right choice while crypto offers high returns / high returns so high risk
Gold is more or less safe if bought at low prices, which many of the older generation have been doing over the last few decades in many less developed countries. The good thing about this is the gradual and steady saving of money to avoid over-spending that money on things that they might not need. To them crypto is something new and truely it might not yet been in a green legal light there. So it is diligent of them to focus on things their government does not frown upon.

Also bitcoin is more or less within the 15% volatility range when trading every year. So it is also safe if you know what you are doing and not buying when the prices are high.
2393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What have been your crypto trading experience on: May 04, 2022, 01:47:20 PM
One of lessons I have learnt in trading crypyocurrency is to be dead to your emotion and use numbers and historical chart to your advantage not to your disadvantage. The moment you master your attachment and emotional triggers as regard your trade, your profit will start to grow until you reach your set goal!
Traders are supposed to treat currencies as tools and not something to get attached to. But this differs on the basis of long term or short/mid term. While coins kept for long term purpose will be there for sometime and one may get too attached to them, those in short or mid term have to dealt with quickly and decisively.

In reality what most newbies end up doing is buying or selling at the wrong time and not just make the mistake of getting attached. This is more true when coming to altcoins. Every trader should know that any altcoin needs to be traded quickly as soon as profits are seen and as soon as they break even on ROI.
2394  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: May 03, 2022, 09:57:36 AM
life is not a puzzle but a reality in order to be able to live in a decent way which depends on where we direct it even though in the end fate decides and what we are looking for is actually peace and happiness because what we want is not just a job, wealth and women but serenity and happiness in old age when life is meaningless
I said this previously, life is a tour, not a puzzle, just that it is not a guided tour. There is a excitement of mystery that remains in every puzzle and a satisfaction of solving the same. Life can also be the same, if one looks inside and eliminates things that stop them from being happy.

It is not a puzzle of money if you know how to manage your money. Be diligent about investments, know the fiat markets and get involved in them. One reason why some users of this forum have gone down the endless holes is because they went all in on crypto knowing fully well that it was still not legal in their country. Be open to options already available to you because not everyone here lives in the US.

Lets not be philosophical and ask questions that have no answers to them. Rather savor the moment and continue spending with limitations to make sure we can spend the rest of our days in peace.
2395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The trend is your friend if you know how to identify it)) on: May 03, 2022, 09:48:12 AM
If you are aware of the trend, like if it is going up or down, as soon as it starts to happen, then you could definitely make some money.
Though I would not bet that each trader will be able to identify this correctly and in time. Neither is that necessary, if you are going for the long term game. In the short term it becomes a race against time, wits and speed. Cheesy

Quote
The small moves of crypto is common, so if you think that it is going down, and catch it right it drops 0.1% or something, then get out at 3% drop, then you could make profit, same thing when it is going up. Doesn't mean that it would have to be very well designed, it could be a bit different and difficult but at the end of the day we are going to see the momentum change so you will have to catch that quickly. I am not saying that you can't, but it is not that simple and it will require a lot of talent.
It sounds simple but it is easier said that done. Small movements are better not to trade on, you might end up losing more on crypto exchange fees than what you get in return. Rather place orders of buy and sell at longer ranges and with a mid-long term goal.

Trends are mostly for day trading. For them running bots to monitor trends is a common thing. This should not be done by every trader, because everyone has their own type and class. The long term hodlers only need to buy/sell at a difference.
2396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project success on: May 03, 2022, 09:43:11 AM
Well, idk but I really wanna ask this question here, as we all are seeing lots of new alt crypto roaming around the crypto market. what are the factors needed for successful crypto projects, does anyone know?
There needs to be an intrinsic market making capability for that coin. In other words, this can be from being able to spend your coins to get some advantage over others inside the project being developed, like a utility token. If this is present there will be daily "burn" of certain coins drawing them from the liquid pool of coins and thereby making the coin more scarce. The project owners could use the burnt coins to dilute the market if required again in future.

This comes with the drawback that the owners can manipulate the market, but then hey - you already got bitcoin? Why look for an altcoin unless you have some motive of making money yourself?

What most failed projects do is they hype the marketing and outreach too much than actually developing a working product. All these factors need to be worked on and it is therefore not a piece of cake that any random noob can do.
2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading question on: May 02, 2022, 03:45:33 PM
I am not so good in forex trading, but all I know is that many OG in forex has transitioned to crypto trading. Its all basically the same knowledge you apply. For me crypto trading is more profitable and I stick to it.
I would not be so liberal about such statements by some people. Those who have been veterans in one try to remain in that. Mastering one takes time but once its done and is profitable to them, they usually stay in the same. Of course there will be exceptions but this is less common.

And the knowledge is never "basically same". Both have their own nuances and things to keep in mind. So both need practice and a proper mindset to approach.

This high risk also available in cryptocurrency like Future and Margin trading where one can liquidate and loss all money and recovery is not possible. Same as with meme coins and new coins where one can loss big and project can be failed. The only trading is Spot trade which is safe but you should choose top 10 coins if you did not want risk.
Margin and Future are more of gambling without any possibility of recovering the money that you are putting in. It is easy to get attracted to those easy gains but difficult to actually get some profit. Spot on the other hand is the most grounded and basic while being profitable at the same time.
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin staking a thing? on: May 02, 2022, 03:31:41 PM
You already mentioned it that you have some spare bitcoin which your not using and besides is an increment to you. I would actually say you should try look into other trading platform, I mean other exchangers to know their APY maybe you could have more value over there to Binance exchange.
Spare bitcoin seems spare only for some time until money crunch comes in. Cheesy

I am sure the OP already knows the problems of giving the control over coins to a third party. Staking is something that became popular in the post-ICO era parallel to stablecoins. To be honest, I have invested in the cryptogames bankroll investment with coins that I could spare at one time and the return was good, unfortunately I could not continue because CG has shut down this feature.

I would say that if one is feeling like taking the risks they can go for it, but invest only that much money that they can afford to lose. Freebitco.in is a reputed site with a long history, but the chances of getting hack are as good as Binance has. This is completely a personal choice.

On this forum it might seem like most of the users are red-pilled to not invest in this. But in reality, this service is being used by many users, who dont visit this forum.
2399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: May 02, 2022, 03:23:46 PM
Traders are big risk takers so everyone should know what he or she is trading on so that when you loose which is normal, you will learn more.
This does not apply to all traders. Most newbie traders end up as risk takers and most of them get washed away. Those who survive are the professional traders who know how to manager risk and not go all in.

It is not necessary to always profit but important to be in the game. For this prior knowledge of speculative markets is important and knowing the different modes of trading like spot, margin become important. Doing a mid-long term spot trading has low risk and decent gains, but requires patience.

Quote
I have lost but I have gained more in trading with the help of research and mentorship programs.
Not necessary at all to go for mentorship or such. You can learn a lot of trading on your own, the key being patience and timing. Learn how to analyse charts, observe S/R levels and place orders according. Do dummy paper trading at first as well to get a feel if you are new.
2400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which utilities will survive the bear market on: May 02, 2022, 03:10:59 PM
What type of crypto utility do you think will survive in this coming bear market? Some are saying most layer 1 blockchain projects will fail what about the likes of launchpad platforms, or we should just focus on metaverse only? Since metaverse isn't even close to perfection yet I think 💭 they may actually lead the way in future, what is your thoughts on this?.
The buzz around metaverse died out pretty quickly from this forum because they have become mainstream now and probably what social media are going to apply in their apps. Although I dont think I would ever use it, because I have never been a fan of social media, I think the buzzkill already means that it has a long way to go for now.

Truth is that the community likes new buzzwords and will catch onto those for sometime before moving to a new one. Previously it was DeFi then NFT and now metaverse.

Either way, whether worth investing or not, I prefer to stick to old time tested assets like bitcoin before going for anything else.
