2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 27, 2022, 02:21:01 PM
That may or may not be true but I can say how it goes in my country. Most of the females in my country are the ones who run the household.
So basically they are in charge of the house budget which the males give them to run the house for that month.
So if females have a habit of gambling then that might be a risk since it might occur that they may end up using the money to run the house for gambling.
So that's a risk nobody would wanna take and hence they frown upon females who gamble.

However, this raises one question on my mind about the Casino and their management regarding prices. I mean when we have money on the casino we see it in fiat value (btc, eth etc as crypto). But how do they manage it when we wager and increase it in the fiat multiples and withdraw when the prices for crypto are high or low? Getting my question ?

They do it just like how the normal exchanges do. They keep track of the price and whenever we withdraw they deposit the cryptocurrency in our wallet according to the current price of that particular coin.
They can easily check the wagering requirement since once we deposit the cryptocurrency, corresponding fiat value is credited in our gambling account and then they track the wagering requirement.
But that is for the other casinos which implemented the fiat based gambling. There are other casinos which directly allows to gamble from the coins.
Just like how freebitco.in allows to gamble in BTC.
2383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: March 26, 2022, 02:37:20 PM
I usually trade when holiday or week end, I'm not too focused on learning trading such as trading indicators, analysis, graphics and so on, a few years ago I ever tried various techniques but the results did not guarantee the profit, it is better to choose a new listed To skyrocket in the short term then install the selling price of at least 50%.

Nothing is actually guaranteed when you are trading. So if you think technical or fundamental analysis should give you guaranteed profits then you are wrong.
These analysis just gives the probability of the price to move in that direction and nobody can accurately predict how much a coin can go in one direction.
Basically, nobody can predict the top or bottom of a trend. Investing in a new coin is definitely a risky thing to do.
We can't say if it will hold it's value or people might dump it or it might turn out to be a scam coin instead.
So trade only with well established coins.
2384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips and tricks for day trading on: March 26, 2022, 02:29:07 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie and I would love to receive from you all of your tips and suggestions about doing day trading.
I want to understand strategies, websites, people to follow for doing shot term investments.

• Could you explain to me a good strategy?

• Which websites are the best for analysis?

• Who should I follow on Twitter or Reddit to read about their analysis and predictions?

Thank you for your time,
Samitto.

The first thing I would advice is that don't follow others to make your trading strategies.
You can of course refer others and analyze their techniques but at the end you must learn and create your own trading strategies.
While beginning to trade just trade with very small amounts and try to make profits.
Continue learning by taking some trading courses and following Youtube channels on how to trade.
Keep learning and practicing but don't blindly follow others and repeat their trades.
Do this for a year and then start trading with money you can afford to lose.
2385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 26, 2022, 02:21:59 PM
If I were a day trader then I would only store a particular amount of my coins on the exchange which I want to day trade with.
If the amount is huge I would split it up into multiple exchanges by carefully researching that the exchange is reputable.
The rest of my coins will be staying in a non custodial wallet and all the profits that I would get will be withdrawn to these wallets on regular time intervals.
2386  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 26, 2022, 02:19:06 PM
Although Jake Paul might be a good fighter I don't think he stands a chance against Conor McGregor.
Apart from that what is the point of this fight anyway ? Exhibition fights are losing interest from real sport supporters.
It has become more like an entertainment these days. I don't think this fight will happen anyway.

Less volatile? 7d eth price movement is +10.86% while btc 7d price movement is +7.86% at the time of writing according to cmc but eth could be rallying soon too though

I guess its my perception bias since the price gaps between both are quite huge (Bitcoin moves by the thousands while ETH by the hundreds) :p

That is also because of the price difference these two cryptos have with each other,if ETH moved in thousands it would make quite a huge number of people happy, the miners I mean,as they are the ones who have the more of that coin and it would increase the profits by a minimum of 200% if it moved in thousands.I think Bitcoin is quite well known for its huge volatility, this is the case from quite some many years now.

I would we one of those happy people. LOL.
Of course the price difference is huge between ETH and BTC. We shouldn't be looking at how much price is hit by the volatility but instead the percentage should be taken into count of volatility.
Bitcoin will have to move by $4400 to show a 10% change in price while ETH will just have to move by $310 to show the same 10% change.
This is one of the reason why the price betting in freebitco.in has a price range of hundreds in ETH while thousands in BTC.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing the previous bear run of Market on: March 25, 2022, 04:37:31 PM
I would like to follow the market trends with great interest and compare the current market price movements after the end of 2021 with previous bearish trends such as the 2018 bear market. I think the cryptocurrency bearish trend may have changed the pattern and took another dimension. . If you've been following the market trends, you've probably noticed that what's happening in the market right now is different from the 2018 downtrend, but yet another sign of a bearish move. What is your opinion

Yes the market has matured these days because the number of investors and traders have grown a lot.
Also, we don't generally have the same kind of people so may be new investors and traders have joined in this time causing the bear to be less effective when compared to previous bear trend.
Also, I particularly don't think that the bear trend has started quite yet. In fact we are seeing signs of slow recovery these days.
If things go well we might get back to the 60s soon  Smiley
2389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian individuals are using crypto to bypass sanctions on: March 25, 2022, 04:23:48 PM
Not only Russians but pretty much every person will be able to bypass the middleman and their restrictions if he is using the P2P trading.
Russians were able to bypass the sanctions since there was no middleman to restrict them.
There were rumors that someone even bought a car with bitcoin which is indeed surprising.
So as far as we have bitcoin, we will keep hearing such news. People have finally realized the benefits of bitcoin.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is a way to getback all your lost or stolen Bitcoin ! on: March 25, 2022, 03:46:18 PM
If you are thinking to use quantum computer to get back the lost bitcoin of people then you are basically cracking the bitcoin blockchain.
This will not only allow you to get back the bitcoin from the hackers but will make you eligible to hack the bitcoins from any wallet you want.
Ofcourse this is just a imagination for now because currently there is no quantum computer that can break the bitcoin network as of yet.
We don't know how long it will take for that to become possible but may be then a better protocol will be implemented on the bitcoin network to make it more secure and private.
2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why offline casino go online? Thoughts? on: March 25, 2022, 03:02:04 PM
So I came through the article concerning the fact that a lot of crypto casinos at the moment are going online. The offline casinos are moving towards the crypto trend. The following article states the following reasons that might be going:
1. Pandemic
2. Innovative industry, cryptocurrencies
3. Moving to New markets
4. Mobile friendly
https://igamingbusiness.com/company-news/why-offline-casino-operators-go-online/

Do you think it's profitable for the casinos to go online at the moment since considering the amount of competition that there is and considering how many sites have shut down, even some old ones.

Whereas the traditional casinos continue to provide a sense of fun and adventure in the moment for most people. Therefore should the online casinos do extend their administration futher and go offline as well? What if most amazing crypto casinos went offline as well !? You think that would be a profitable industry?

Of course it is profitable for casinos to go online because of the vast amount of population they can attract while hosting the casino virtually.
Now we all know the amount of hassle involved in operating a physical casino.
Right from the rent for the casino, physical games, staff to operate games etc... there are many things that might become problematic.
Going online will eradicate many of these hassles and will attract people from around the globe thus increasing their overall revenue.
So going online is quite beneficial.

I don't think UserU will have placed equal amounts to both ranges as otherwise it will always end up in a loss. But we can't forget about the time multiplier also; so if the bet was placed early in the month than the final odd will be a lot higher than 1.64.

Yup, I placed both bets of different amounts as such either one would still be profitable Smiley

That's what i wanted to know how to place bets that in case we lose one and win one, we are still at profits. If i could know this secret formula i can apply it on sports betting too. Betting on both the teams and still managing to win in the end  Wink

There's no secret formula because it's just basic math. I don't think that you can apply it to sports betting though since the odds will be on one side most of the times.
The sum of all bets you place should be less than the lowest return of all your bets.
Thats how you stay in profits just by winning any one of the bets since the return will always be higher than what you have invested.
2393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Satoshi was dumb on: March 24, 2022, 04:03:06 PM
I can't tell if you are trolling, are sarcastic or serious. The tone is not being conveyed in text form.

In case you are serious is there is anyone thinking this way, I have to tell them that not everyone is doing everything for the "money". You don't necessarily have to be rich to not want money, one can be not-rich and still be content at the same time.
If you can't understand this, it means you are not and will never be content in your life even if you had all the money in the world.

That was a mind blowing reply indeed. I would have given a plenty of merits but you already have many. So I will reserve it for other posts  Smiley

What you say is very true. Being rich definitely doesn't mean one should have lots of money.
It simply means he should have enough food to survive through the day and happiness in his life to be satisfied with what he has.
Satoshi didn't seem to care about money and cared about his privacy because if it might affect his life and also his loved ones' lives.
So he pretty much didn't care about the money and vanished for good and I respect him for that.
Calling him dumb for this seems like a preposterous act.
2394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2022, 03:55:11 PM
If Bitcoin is a better and higher currency than fiat, why then do bitcoiners hurdle it?
I think money is best used for buying and selling not hoarding, we get to see the value more when using it.
This my thoughts, wby?

This is basically because bitcoin currently serves two purposes. One is to act as a currency for payments and the other is to act as a tradable asset.
The reason why people hoard bitcoin is because they treat is an asset which has high increasing value.
There are others who don't hoard bitcoin and rather spend it for payments because they treat it as a currency for method of payment.
There's no right or wrong here and it's just how a multi-value coin behaves I guess.

What if BTC crosses $45k by the end of this month ?  Shocked

Lol, just kidding. I hope you win the bet. But at the same time the odds for the range of $40k - $45k are very low.
Even if it lands in this price range the returns will be comparatively low. So I hope you have done the math and wish you all the best.

Also, didn't you think ETH bet would have made more sense though ?
2396  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 24, 2022, 02:30:28 PM
8 more hours for BTC, uh, I have almost missed that.
Range 40-45 has now odds 1.64. 37.5-40 - 3.88 and 45-50 - 5.97.
I think this time I will be (too) optimistic and I will bet on 45-50. Let's hope it will go that way.
The main range with odds 1.64 seems too easy Wink

I placed bets on the 35 - 45 range.

Nothing huge happening for now so better be safe haha.

Where did you place the bet on 35 - 45 range ? Is there any other site that offers so wide range to bet:Smiley

Freebitco does not offer this 10,000$ range to bet. They are offering three ranges between 35 to 45K.

1-$35,001 - $37,500
2-$37,501 - $40,000
3-$40,001 - $45,000

Which range do you think could be the best bet?

He basically means that he has covered all the ranges in the price of $35k to $45k.
Currently there are the above 3 ranges which covers this price range and he has basically bet on all of these ranges.
Freebitco.in provides the flexibility to place multiple bets in multiple price ranges and hence this might benefit us if we do the math right.
2397  Economy / Reputation / Re: Finally in the Hero club! on: March 23, 2022, 03:18:51 PM
Ever since Bitcointalk introduced the Merit system, I was stuck on being a Sr. Member for a few years. I was having an up and down journey, becoming inconsistent, making mistakes, etc. It was not easy to rank up these days. There are no shortcuts, I've got to earn it even if it took me a long while to get there. I remember the day that I've applied the "law of attraction" to myself that there come a time that I'll finally become a Hero Member.

snip

I know that feeling because I have lived that moment myself. Even I had turned Hero just a few months back and the feeling was literally good.
Although I didn't care much about the merits myself the satisfaction of ranking up was immensely great.
As you said, we should definitely just focus on trying to contribute more towards this forum and care less about ranking up and merits.
That way we never have to worry about any of those things while still enjoy being around discussing and sometimes debating with the geniuses around.
The one thing I like the most about this forum is the immense amount of knowledge that it freely provides and I am thankful for that.  Smiley
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becomes priority alternative when cash fails on: March 23, 2022, 03:07:32 PM
bitcoin has proved time over time that it is more than just a cryptocurrency. It is something that people trust at time of emergencies.
It is more like a safe haven for many people and as time goes by more number of people will start believing bitcoin for what it is and what value it brings to them.
US has also started the preparation of regulating cryptocurrencies. Many other countries have also realized the fact that its impossible to completely ban cryptocurrencies so why not regulate it instead.
Good times are only getting started.
The fact that you could even tax it makes it even more illogical to ban it as well. Like if you could just tax it, get money from the people who use crypto, that means we are talking about making a good income. I have been paying crypto taxes for 4 years in my nation right now, and I have to say if they banned it, they would have lost out on all of that income from me, and that is just me, there are over 1.5 million people investing or at least in one point owned crypto.

It means that even if they all paid just one thousand dollars overall (some paid A LOT more, some paid less) that makes it 1.5 billion dollars yearly, and in the last 4 years (since we started legalizing and taxing crypto) that would have made it 6 billion dollars. Seriously, why ban it when you can make that kind of money?

Ofcourse they can. Generating income from taxing income from cryptocurrencies is a great way for governments to grab a decent amount from the citizens of their country.
But at the same time if they are taxing cryptocurrencies then they will also have to come out with laws and policies to regulate cryptocurrencies to protect funds of their people.
This is where many governments are struggling in my opinion. There are no clear laws in many countries for cryptocurrencies including my country India.
2399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 23, 2022, 02:34:20 PM
Please! Is there any gambling site that I can easily sign up? I tried Gamdom.com but it is not opening either it is only loading since morning...so, I need a site that I can access easily.

Well there are many gambling sites which you can easily access and create an account on. What's the issue when you are opening gamdom ?
Reading your previous posts I got to know that you are from an area which as a poor network.
Since gambling sites require a decent network may be that's why you are not able to access gambling sites properly.
You can also try visiting freebitco.in , bc.game and duelbits to check out if they work for you.
2400  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 23, 2022, 02:18:40 PM
I guess you are like me then because even I prefer to place multiple bets in different ranges which accumulate to a net profit.
That's definitely not the case this time but yeah I would say that both the ranges are tempting.

$37.5k - $40k = 3.77x
$45k - $50k = 6.02x

Yeah, multi-range betting is an effective strategy. However, it seems to me that the range of $37.5k-40k no longer looks tempting because BTC has risen from $40k to $42k today. So it's definitely going to be difficult to predict the range this month. Although I'm leaning towards placing my main bet in the $45k-50k  range and placing another small bet in the $40k-45k range.

At this point, it all boils down to whether you are going bullish or bearish towards bitcoin.
The person going bullish should opt for $45k - $50k range while the person going bearish should go for $37.5k - $40k.
There's no inbetween because staying in $40k-45k range is not really so profitable now.
I will prefer to skip the BTC price prediction this time since I can't really make it where to go bullish or bearish for the price prediction.
Nor do I dare to give a prediction, since the price of BTC is becoming more and more uncertain, on the one hand I have a bullish feeling, it is something that I cannot avoid, but seeing that anything can change the direction of the market that many times $37k - $40k is already somewhat risky, of course I'm not saying that the price is going to fall to $30k or close, but that the market is having more volatility, I don't know if the conflict with Russia and Ukraine also influences so much, they are fundamentals that can change the whole picture in seconds.

The market is indeed showing some volatility these days. Right now BTC is over $42k which feels good by the way.
Can't wait for it to go back to the 60s. But the odds aren't that good to be honest and personally I don't think BTC will go beyond $45k as of now.
So as babygun said, the odds of betting into Ethereum are more convincing and if you want to go for it then ETH price betting is a better option for now.
