You can give this a try.
Read a little about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5143544.0

242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallets on: October 04, 2019, 07:22:42 PM
Download the QT wallets from the github page of the coin itself.
There are many clones of wallets in the wild and downloading even one incorrect can make your system susceptible.

Make a text file with all the private keys of the remaining small coins and then encrypt the text file with notepad++ and nppcrypt.
This will provide an extra layer of protection.

Did you flash modified bios in your cards?
After updating the drivers, did you patch it using ATI Pixel Clock Patcher for AMD?

I'll recommend removing two cards which are not working and then trying with just the two cards. After they work fine, then cycling it with the remaining ones.

Is there a exchange for this coin?

where can trade

As of now, there seems to be no active exchange with this coin listed as tradeable.
Even CE is shutting down which seems to be the last exchange for it. https://www.coinexchange.io/market/KOI/BTC
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: October 03, 2019, 07:23:25 PM
I keep reading about VEIL project from some time and have a question about the review which was or should be made by the PROOF OF REVIEW service.

In the Op is clearly written that:

PROOF OF REVIEW service provide a full list of available reviews and I can't find VEIL between them.

Where to find this VEIL review?

True that even I'm not able to find the review for VEIL on the proof of review website but their twitter handle clearly has a tweet for the same. So, I guess, it's better if we ask proof of review website for it.

246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Linux based OS and scrypt mining on: October 03, 2019, 06:42:34 PM
As ASIC is the territory of the Scrypt algorithm so there won't be any pre-fabricated Linux distros available which will support it out-of-box for GPUs.
Anyway, you can pick any mining oriented Linux distros such as
Simplemining OS
Hive OS (Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2350786.0)
nvOC for Nvidia (my personal favourite, Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5129295.0)
and install the required miner for the same.

If not the above, just do a barebone Ubuntu installation, install drivers, download miner and start hashing.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A question about mining process on: October 03, 2019, 07:52:57 AM
Thank you for your answer. So this means that if you mining with power of 100 Ghs (and difficulty will not change) then, system will give "time to find block" always fixed amount for example 2 hours and this amount will not change even after 2 hours of your mining but meaning that "with this power usually will takes to you to find block after 2 hours".I mean after you start mining, your past mining work is not calculated and not stored in any memory to continue on it later. It is just an indicative number ?

Yes, it is just an indicative number.

To find a block there are a few parameters depending on it:
1. Block time (BT)
2. Total Hashrate (TH)
3. Your Hashrate (let's say this 'x')
4. Luck

Now, the time to find a block with x hashrate is : (x/TH) * BT

But that time is just an estimation.
For explanation sake, let's say with your hashrate it takes 4 hrs to mine a block but it could take more or it could take less than that.
Now here comes the factor of luck, if you are lucky you may hit blocks successively under the estimation time and your luck will be above 100 for that time period.
If it takes more time to hit blocks then it will be less than 100 for that time period.
But on a larger time scale like a month, the luck parameter will average out to be around 100%

Now about your question for work saved. The work is not at all saved and it will start calculating hashes again and it may take the estimated time to hit the block.
I definitely recommend watching this video for a better understanding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBC-nXj3Ng4
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [PoW] [RandomX] DERO will implement RandomX! on: October 03, 2019, 07:28:13 AM
I have tried mining algo randomx for several days, and my conclusion is that it is not profitable for the current coin price.

It's the classic demand vs supply problem bud.
The requirement of hash rate to be profitable for all the coins that support RandomX is low whereas the supply of the hash rate for it is quite high as there is seriously 10 to 40 times more CPU miners then GPU miners which is really good for decentralization but not so good for profit now.

So, until and unless big coins like Monero and others make a successful switch to it. We're going to need to hang tight for the same to be profitable.
249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What applications do you need to download to your smartphone? on: October 03, 2019, 07:11:11 AM
Authy if you have an iPhone, or Google Authenticator on Android - necessary to use 2 Factor authentication

Do not forget to keep your secret key safe for Google Authenticator too.
Just save them in a text file and then encrypt it with notepad++ and nppcrypt.
Archive the file too if you want another layer of password protection.

Also, do not root your Android phone or Jailbreak your iDevice where you are going to install the trading application.
It literally makes the smartphone so susceptible to malicious programs.

NOTE

If your RX580 cards have dual bios then you are fine and have a secondary backup if things go wrong with flashing bios.

If not please check this out.

I did not keep a backup of original bios for my RX 580 and RX 570 cards. So, I wanted to revert it back to original bios before selling them.
This is where I hit a major problem. I downloaded which seems to be original bios from the techpowerup website.
I flashed the bios in 14 of RX 580 cards and 2 of RX 570 cards.
10 of RX 580 cards were all fine and working perfectly which I sold but the remaining cards are all soft bricked and I am still trying to revive them.
I have 6 cards of this series that is non-functional now just because of not keeping the original bios.

Please don't make this mistake that as I did.

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: advise seeked: what should I do with my miners (28x gpus) on: October 03, 2019, 06:41:09 AM
This is my story when I was in the same situation as you are right now.
After the bubble burst, followed by not so good profits for a year, I made a decision to stop and just sell everything that I can but I hit the same roadblock as you.
I saw many people who were already selling their rigs but people who bought second-hand GPUs were reluctant to buy cards that were used for mining.
So, I switched to the second step here. I started selling GPUs one by one after cleaning them up, testing them rigorously and then selling one by one.
Let me tell you, it's such a time-consuming process but it was worth it as they were selling and I was getting a bit better price then I would have to sell the rig completely.
It also helped that I kept the boxes, all the original items and also that cards had 2-3 years warranty left on them.

It's been eight months now and I have cleared around 90% of my inventory already.
I sold GPUs mainly to gamers, motherboards and CPUs combo to people who want cheap PC for office work, PSUs to enthusiasts and so on.

It takes time but It will be done and I must tell you, start today because in time the older GPUs will lose its value very quickly.

OverdriveNtool donīt work after installing the new Adrenaline Drivers.. needs some Library or so..
LAter i try to install new windows and check again..

I'm using Adrenaline Drivers 19.5.2 and OverdriveNtool works fine with my Vega 56 flashed with 64 bios.

Now i set the 1200 to 1250 in Wattman.
Result: ETH from 32,2 Mh/s to 32.4 Mh/s @ 110 Watt and runs stable since 3 hours..
Hope now itīs the right setting..

Freeze after 4 Hours Sad

That's an amazing hash rate for a RX 580 but the power consumption can be reduced a bit. I had my RX 580 do around 30 MH/s with 75W in claymore.
Just reduce the core clock & core voltage as much as you can & reducing memory voltage without affecting hash rate is the way to go.
Also check for the ASIC quality in GPU-z, this will provide you with a rough estimate as to how aggressive undervolt you can do with the card.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Brick After Flashing ROM! on: September 07, 2019, 06:11:41 AM
get occasion to learn to solder Smiley

It's the only thing that I haven't tried.
I'm going to get a basic tool kit for soldering, watch some video tutorials as to how to get started with it and try the 8 + 1 Pin method again and hope that it will work.
If I can save even two cards out of the three bricked cards. I've going to be happy about it.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Brick After Flashing ROM! on: September 06, 2019, 06:05:13 AM
SPECIAL: If you receive the following error "Failed to read ROM ERROR 0FL01 : press '1' to continue"

You need to unlock the rom of the chip for writing, OR The flash command was not typed properly and the syntax is incorrect.

Code:

atiflash -unlockrom X

edit: It looks Pulse have a dual bios switch at the back of the card. Try that before.

I'll keep that in mind but I'm not able to get the card detected at the first place.
I tried 8 + 1 Pin short method, DOS flash method but it always throws the same comment, "Adapter not found" thus GPU not being detected.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Brick After Flashing ROM! on: September 06, 2019, 06:01:51 AM
and you are sure there aint no dual bios switch in the rear end of the card?

atleast its at the rear end on my 570 pulse cards.

Yes card seems has dual switch, just flick other side and it should work, after the system is booted flick dual bios switch back. And flash the card as usual.

You have v2 cards of the same model where all of them had two bios, gaming + compute.
I have v1 cards which are pretty old and doesn't feature dual bios in any of the model series.
This is the picture of Sapphire RX 570 4GB Pulse:

This is the picture of Sapphire RX 580 8GB Pulse:

None of them have dual switch bios, if they had, I would have been so grateful.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Brick After Flashing ROM! on: September 06, 2019, 05:33:17 AM
I tried the 8 + 1 Pin Method to get the card detected in Windows or in DOS.
I didn't have any success with it though.
The card just doesn't detect and there seems to be no way to force flash until and unless the card is detected.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Brick After Flashing ROM! on: September 05, 2019, 06:15:30 AM
I've had this happen before. However this usually happens AFTER you restart the computer and never right after a flash, very strange.

To fix this you will need to use the onboard GPU and put the GPU in one of the slots and remove the other GPUs inside the motherboard. You can try and putting it in a bootable Win98 USB flash drive to boot into DOS and use ATIFlash from there but most likely your GPU won't be found.

You will need to take a paper clip and short 2 pins while attempting to start the computer and it will force it into a type of "Limp mode" and you flash this way and it usually recovers your GPU.

Try the DOS method first and if it doesn't work i'll send you instructions on which pins to short.

And if you got dual bios (probably not) then use that instead. Might be a switch near the PCIe connectors.

You're absolutely correct.
The card is not being detected in the DOS too, with ATIflash it just says adapter not found.

Please send the instructions, I am more than willing to try anything at this point to recover the cards because now I'm facing this problem in two more of RX 570 cards.
