Anyone have any idea if those rumors of Vega hashing(in the future) 70-100MH/s has any merit?
So far - no. Best I've seen is mid 40's which has been unstable. There are a few folks working on it now and making progress. You can search around for yourself and find plenty of hints.

Ive only tried SIA but it seemed to have a massive impact and dropped me to 31MH on ETH.
Ive been hashing at 43.3 to 43.4 now for about 8 hours
43ish mh/s ain't too bad. Wattage is going to challenge I bet. Hopefully still some room to improve with better drivers and potentially adjusting mem timings/bios in linux. I have two at home that I will try and getting working tonight on 9.8 with your wattman changes. Some mentioned different modes on the card - power saver / standard / turbo - Did you mess with those at all?

Can anyone post suggested Wattman or Claymore core and memory settings for Vega (without bios mods) using AMD blockchain beta driver? Thanks, much appreciated.
I am not very familiar with those as i usually not even bother, but would like to do it with Vega since peeps say that it overheats otherwise.
Ive set all mine in wattman Ive set my GPU to -30% underclock and voltage to 80 80 My memory is set to 1100, if i go 1105 it becomes unstable. Memory voltage is set to 80 Fan i turned off auto and set minimum to about 75% and target to 100% and its running stable at 73C for about 8 hours now Good stuff Jell. May I ask what you're hashing right now on eth? Also, is it true Vega won't dual mine eth and lbry?

Currently have a very small btc and eth investment. Very happy with the site and if my dang mining returns hadn't been hit so hard, I'd still be gambling a bit every now and then.
Nothing but good things to say.

False. It's not encrypted, it's just signed. Second, I posted a workaround.
There was somebody at chiphell who reached 44mh/s with vega, do you think is possible to reach 50mh/s? Should be child's play once Linux drivers are fixed - the memory timing formats are all new, but since I know them, I can do custom timings long before even a shitty "timing copy" tool like PBE comes out for Vega. Added thread to watch list. Good luck Wolf0. Appreciate what you do and can't wait to see the results.

So 1060 and 1070 still better than vega 56 Ozzy, are those your stats? If not, could your provide a link to the source article. Not the best. I'm more disappointed in the power draw... Jesus. Wonder what the resale market is going to look like. Stocks of Vega 64 were very limited around town today. My microcenter only got 5 in. I'm thinking the demand might still be there for a bit. Edit - Source website showed up when I quoted your img post. Thanks!

Well let's hope miner optimization (looking at your claymore ) and either some bios changes or memory tweaks help... I got 3 orders to go through today. Hopefully they all ship. A couple orders of my orders got cancelled due to the 1 per household limit. Thankfully ebay prices are currently through the roof. If I get them in hand, I may dump them...

I want to say my crypto portfolio is like 65% BTC 25% ETH other alts 10%
Based on that, I seem to prefer BTC. I think BTC will stay relevant for a long time. All these articles calling it the gold of the internet? Not sure i'm fully on board with that but BTC clearly has the most faith/support of any of the crypto currencies currently.

Mine the coin you're interested in. If you're just interested in returns and plan on selling immediately - https://whattomine.com/ -See which is most profitable coin to mine for your system https://www.nicehash.com/ - Is great for set it and forget it. Especially if you're just interested in collecting straight btc. You pay a higher fee for this service (4%?)

I hold btc, eth and xrp. I mine and trade a few others. XRP I mainly picked up because it's cheap and there seems to be some momentum in banks using the ripple system. Some people see it as a bridge gap tech between banks and blockchain. Now whether or not they will use the token and/or the value of xrp increases is another question
Sounds like I need to look some more into STRAT

In general, I always want more investment options in my 401k and would probably put a small percent into BTC. Already done. Took a large loan against my 401k to build my mining mini-farm several months ago. No matter what happens now I am good. Crypto is the future. My 401k managed by some firm who are paid no matter if they win or lose is not the way to retirement or financial freedom for me. I will be riding this train for the next 5-10 years which after that, hopefully the train will no longer even be needed! Interesting way to do it. Risk is definitely there. I wonder if people will start rolling old 401k's into Self Directed IRA (IRA LLC's) and purchasing. I had a couple buddies roll old 401ks into IRA LLC's and purchase property a few years back. Those types of deals were all the rage. I think the IRS even classifies virtual currencies as property so it might not be beyond the already gray area of an IRA LLC. **Not a tax professional - Terrible money advice in this thread...

Sticking with ETH at the moment with the occasional switch over to lbry for a day or two. I even throw a rig over onto Nicehash every now and then for some unknown reason.
I'm also looking for a new coin to mine. Will give DeepOnion a look.

Looking for some guidance. Was running fine for a week and started having issues.
It appears I can't hold a connection to either the servers or the stratum? It will bounce around servers looking for a stable connection but constantly drop. The gpu's run and my hash rate is about what I would expect.
Types of error seen:
ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec... Cannot resolve eth-us-east1.nanopool.org ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to eth-us-esat1.nanopoool.org:9999 ETH : Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec... Socket was closed remotely (by pool) ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec... ETH: Received Error :{"jsonrpc" : "2.0", "id" :4, "error" : {"code" ; -32700, "message" : "Worknotfound"}}
The last one feels odd?> Any thoughts?
I do have another miner that uses the same settings and runs fine.
