241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is better than Cash. on: September 25, 2017, 05:11:22 AM
What are the reasons, why people use Cash or Credit Cards / ATM / Banks?

Look at the benefits of bitcoin.

* Works online 100%, 100%transparent for private and commercial use. Total control of private or public money for it's holder or holders, investors, governments etc.
* As It's works online there no need of expensive steel safes or bank deposits to keep your money safe. Any password or time code can be used.
* No fees. Unlike cash, hasn't 2%-3% of inflation every single year.
* Accepted for Food Shopping & Micro payments via electronic card.
* 0 confermations time, with introduction of "instant pay" function.
* 0 exchange risks in use of proper securities and competent insurance.
* any entrepreneurs is able to understanding of the value of payment.
* No need for pay terminal for small businesses. For small entrepreneurs it's a high expense of 70 bucks every month.
* Theoretically it's would not be needed to have an expensive licensed cash register, for small entrepreneurs, as every transaction is totally transparent. So cases of black money flow would be easily found and proven.
* Banking and gambling. No need of any verification for CFD,Stock,Currency or gambling services.

Becuase if you hold bitcoin for a long time maybe you will get a high amount of money or bevome double becuase bitcoin stikl increasing as far as now so thats why many people compared bitcoin to cash and bitcoin is better than cash.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: September 25, 2017, 04:04:19 AM
Weeks ago, I am discussing Bitcoin to my sister and my future brother-in-law (then) When they got married recently, both of them were unemployed and have been trying to get a job immediately after their marriage. Up until now they have no luck. My sister then decided to talk to me about how do I earn Bitcoins. I gladly explained it to her and then she decided to do it too. She was so happy that she is already earning bitcoin and had some extra budget while they are both unemployed. And now, she is so eager to learn more how to earn more coins.

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins. Maybe some people are like this. They grab Bitcoin when they are in need of money. And since that these people are now engaged in Bitcoin, I am sure that they will stay in Bitcoin and treat it as an investment even though they will have a decent paying jobs in the future.
Ofcourse yes like me im unemployed peolle becuase im still a student but bitcoin will help so much becuase bitcoin give me a hope to live because it will give me a opportunity to earn a lot of money in my future life.l

244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: September 25, 2017, 01:42:30 AM
Okay, I am just making that headline short and sweet. What I mean is: What is one big dream that you want to realized out of your Bitcoin income? No matter how small or big it is, please share it with us here.

As for me, I have a big dream of having my own 10-hectare farm somewhere here in my locality and I want to stuff that area with all the fruits I can find here and with my main products which are cacao and coffee.

I guess I have this special connection with the soil and the land that is giving us the food and sustenance daily. And who knows maybe years from now I can be able to issue tokens out of that farm...something like AgriTokens or AgriCoins.

Please share your dreams!
If i'll became rich or get a lot of bitcoin i want to help my parents to our poverty and want to buy a  house ,car, gadgets and i want to travell in all parts of the world eith my family becuase that is my dream. Smiley
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: September 24, 2017, 12:46:56 PM
Bitcoin is something radically new. Nothing like Bitcoin has been possible until now. I would go so far as to consider it sui generis; "in its own class".  This makes it important to understand what Bitcoin actually is before we try to describe it to others.

We're getting a good handle on the code, and of course on Bitcoin's function and utility, but what words should we use to describe Bitcoin itself? There has been some debate in other threads [mostly my doing] over how it is like/not like money, cash, dollars, etc. I'd like to start this thread by focusing on the term "money", and play Devil's avocate by asking for your best arguments that Bitcoin IS money.

My legal dictionary states "In usual and ordinary acceptation it [money] means gold, silver, or paper money, used as circulating medium of exchange, and does not embrace notes, bonds, evidences of debt, or other personal or real estate." [cites omitted]

Wikipedia says "Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment." [cited omitted]

Webster's Online Dictionary defines money as:
    • 1. The most common medium of exchange; functions as legal tender; "we tried to collect the money he owed us".
    • 2. Wealth reckoned in terms of money; "all his money is in real estate".
    • 3. The official currency issued by a government or national bank; "he changed his money into francs".
    • 4. A piece of metal, as gold, silver, copper, etc., coined, or stamped, and issued by the sovereign authority as a medium of exchange in financial transactions between citizens and with government; also, any number of such pieces; coin.
    • 5. Any written or stamped promise, certificate, or order, as a government note, a bank note, a certificate of deposit, etc., which is payable in standard coined money and is lawfully current in lieu of it; in a comprehensive sense, any currency usually and lawfully employed in buying and selling.
    • 6. In general, wealth; property; as, he has much money in land, or in stocks; to make, or lose, money.
    [links omitted]
    [/list]

I maintain that per these definitions, Bitcoin cannot possibly be described as "money". And further, I think that those who do describe Bitcoin as "money" are doing this community a disservice.

But that is just my point of view. Are there any that can convincingly argue otherwise, that Bitcoin IS money?

Yes bitcoin is money becuase you can convert it into real money and then you can use this to buy anything and many people use this to transaction with other and i see many people became rich becuase they doing workhard everyday.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: September 24, 2017, 11:35:50 AM
for long term purpose, which is better to invest in , Bitcoin or Ethereum ? Lets discuss that ..

247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: September 23, 2017, 04:41:01 AM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

Coinp.ph is the best wallet in my country here in philippines becuase coin.ph is so much trusted but sometimes  like my password in my account i always save it into a private place that no one can see except me .
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: September 21, 2017, 02:51:14 AM
The miners mine and hold, other mine and sell.

Investors and speculators buy, hold and sell.

You can buy random items in auctions and through the forums.

What are the reasons for the bulk of the bitcoin transfers? I read an article underlying the "dark side" of the internet and TOR network, and they seem to point out that bitcoins are now nearly the exclusive currency for the online "black market" (Note, they are not saying bitcoins are exclusively used for black market transactions)

What have you used bitcoins for?

    Miner
    Investor
    Black Market
    Other - explain

First of all , iwant to helo my family in financial problems and  i want to earn a lot of btc to become rich or to use this in our daily needs and i use this becuase i want to learn a lot of knowledge about bitcoin.
249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: September 20, 2017, 01:19:16 AM
    Please forgive my cynicism.
I was offered bitcoins in I think 2010 when they were 50p each.
I was tempted to buy £200 worth but had been just lost £200 to a ponzi money scheme so decided against it!

I have seem recent reports saying they are now worth £2,500

    Are these the same Bitcoins?
So would I be able to actually sell for cash or money in the bank?

Sorry to ask, but I see lots of people saying they are millionaires but don't think I have seen anyone with the actual money banked.

I mean, my 400 bitcoins would now be worth £1,000,000 and I could actually sell them for £1Million less commissions?

    You gotta see I'm sceptical.
Please tell me I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life?
Yes it is real to become rich by using this . becuase many people have a courage and workhard here become rich now. So we need to keep workhard everyday to become rich like others  or become top billionaire in the world . Smiley

253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is btc mining still profitable or is it just a big cover-up scam? on: September 18, 2017, 06:55:58 AM
talked to a guy who bought 25 antminers and lost all in 6 months. He said he did calculation and analysis when decided to do this, but all his calculation is purely theoretical. But it is nearly impossible to reach an ideal state in reality. Plus, as mining difficulty increases as time progresses, it takes about 2 months for a miner to be outdated. So he suggests just buy bitcoin and give up mining. He even mentioned that btc price on exchanges is manipulated as a way to stimulate the sale of miners...
Yes mining is profitable and mining gives you much better profit and so very fast. But many mining now are scam becuase many people have evil plan to create a scam mining so be carefull.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: September 18, 2017, 05:11:55 AM
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

Im a new here in forum i hope someday i can get a lot of bitcoins like others but i have a plan if i have a coin . as my friend say the best wallet is coinbase you can store you salary here for a longtime.

257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise up or fall down? on: September 14, 2017, 05:13:41 AM
What do you think? China banned BTC? And btc price goes to 4,069$ today Smiley
You think to sell or it can rise up again, some rumors said that btc will fall down to 2000$
I am sure that the bitcoin will rise up again even though the china banned the bitcoin. I can say that it is impossible that the bitcoin will go down again.
