241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US government tax on bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 08:50:20 AM
Well taxation on bitcoin is feasible. Bitcoin is not as anonymous as it is. It may hide identity but still traceable. It is called pseudonymity which is still attractive to many users that value the privacy.
Contrary to the possibility for it to be implemented is that taxing bitcoin is not as easy as it looks.
It is hard to tax the value of bitcoin profits because it is too volatile unlike any other currencies.
242  Other / Meta / Re: Vital Facts and Figures about Merit Point System.(Answers to your Queries) on: January 25, 2018, 06:15:46 PM
If I may ask some question,
So the rank up system is now connected to the merit system, four days from now updates for activities will happen.
For those who are about to rank up, will it be postponed because of not having enough merit?

Another thing is how would anyone manage to give sMerit to everyone who deserves it without getting sunked in threads?

Sorry if ever I have bad English.
I know how bad you guys are feeling at the time but believe me with time spammers will be out of the game, account farmers won't able to manipulated things anymore. These things will benefit the loyal members of the forum, members with long relationship with forum able to acheive new landmarks.

Starting merit system  is beneficial to everyone especially to the forum and I clearly see the point of implementing it. I was just a bit excited that few days from now I will be SR. Too bad. I won't be expecting it this week Sir.
Well thank you for confirmations and I am glad that even if we can not help bitcoin develop, you try to limit crowding.
Hope this go well, though I know it would.  Grin

You will not rank up unless you meet the activity AND merit qualification for that rank:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
Brand new00
Newbie10
Jr Member300
Member6010
Full Member120100
Sr. Member240250
Hero Member480500
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

What do you mean by "sunked in threads" ??

I meant those quality posters that are not even noticeable because of spammers.
I think even with the merit system, they would still try to build up words just to post something.
Sorry for the term I have used Sir.

245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Woman Busted sending BTC to ISIS on: January 24, 2018, 11:45:50 PM
Bitcoin is maybe always used in illegal transactions and that is for sure.
When decentralization is made possible, more crime is too.
More or less we can't do so much about it.
The thing is, maybe that is the reason why government is aiming to  be in the system. Not just to control it I guess. Taxes are good as long we know where it is going.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain technology or pure speculation? on: January 24, 2018, 11:41:50 PM
Are you interested in BTC for the mere fact that the price has been going up since its inception and you think it will enable to make a huge profit or you are interested because you know that the technology behind BTC (blockchain) will change the way the financial world works?

I was here before pumps even started. But honestly, at first I was here for quick bucks. I thought when I can start signature campaigns, I can cash out it easily and I will be  satisfied.
Further I realized that there is more in bitcoin. Decentralization and not just monetizing.
I am still hoping for developments
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why media against bitcoin ? on: January 24, 2018, 09:35:39 PM
Because negative things should be reported for the knowledge of people. We need to know what are the underlying causes of every circumstances.
Yet most of the time it is used negatively, some spreads FUD and trolling. News should be for prevention and not the one that would cause trouble.

On the contrary.
Not all news are negative mate. There are news about Japan actions involving bitcoins as an example.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 09:26:59 PM
Absolutely disagree with you. Bitcoins has instances or usually pumps during midyear and end of the year.
But still no assurance, there might be developments or another tearing down of bitcoin in some countries.
Jumping to conclusions sometimes lead to FUD. We need more positive ideas instead of asking if it will come to an end because clearly, bitcoin won't end that quickly. As long as there are users, bitcoin will live and can fluctuate.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammed on: January 24, 2018, 09:03:36 AM
Are you already scammed? How? Can you share it so people can learn from your experience?

I think running away without giving incentives to workers is considered as scam and hell yes  I was scammed before already.
It was a 3 weeks work without any payments. That small amount of BItcoin might have been doubled today and still depressed me when I remember it since its getting harder and harder to earn crypto everyday.
I think that the whole project is a scam.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: my prediction is always wrong on: January 24, 2018, 08:44:23 AM

You are just frustrating yourself. Short term investing is not wise for now since bloodbaths are having longer duration than pumps. If you panic too much, you might lose your capital instead of gaining some real profits.
Small pumps doesn't mean it will rise continuously.
Try to calm and be patient. You are in control of every cent you put as an investment in cryptocurrencies. That is why try to  be patient and read more. If you have more knowledge you will feel less fear.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tactics When Market is Falling on: January 23, 2018, 09:23:58 PM
Holding is very much effective. Yet you should not forget another important thing, you need patience. If you know why we need to hodl then you will be calm and it will trigger you wait until prices recovers.
Hodl is for hodlers.
I truly admire those to buy cheaper bitcoin during dips. And those who knows how to predict when will it actually rise and fall again. Traders are awesome.
Also, try keeping your coins in safe wallets. Don't want to lose anything before pumps happen.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Countries' Strict regulation and Ban will kill Cryptocurrencies? on: January 23, 2018, 01:16:48 PM
That is the only aim that governments can do. I honestly don't believe that a country would easily ban it. When Chinese government said that bitcoins local exchanges as well as mining, they were a bit harsh to those who this for their living. Since China is a communist country, I haven't doubt that they can make it possible.

Regulation is the only way that governments think of to engange themselves in this industry or to be in the circulation. Taxes are abusive by the way.
253  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why are people hiring crypto writers nowadays? on: January 23, 2018, 09:24:52 AM
Recently there have been many threads in the services section for hiring crypto writers.I even applied for one and that guy paid me $15 for an article on a particular altcoin.I am really curious to know where do these people post my/our crypto articles.
If they are paying $15-20 for a simple article then they must be earning more by posting our crypto writings.
I w knould be glad if someone could enlighten me about this platform where we can earn by posting altcoin articles.

I guess you are eager to know where exactly they directly send articles because you want to earn more. I think greed is the pilot for your curiosity.
You see ,articles you make are just like other articles that Google gives. It's not having any reliable source but only based on opinions. In short, not everything is true within the internet.
This articles boosts coins for people to trust them.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi Nakamoto will reveal himself one day ? on: January 23, 2018, 08:55:17 AM
I think revealing himself will just get himself into trouble. I do agree that it would not raise the prices. No one would care unless it would help them earn bitcoins.
Though I respect the great creator of bitcoins I think it would be safer if no one would know who he is. I think bitcoin will be easier to destroy if that happens.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ICO will take off on: January 23, 2018, 08:17:09 AM
ICOs are the one saturating the crypto industry. There is no doubt that any coin created can be successful one day. But it's not also a secret to any users that most of the coins made are just dumped.
Even though ICOs increase in rate, some projects are waste and some are just in to scam other foolish people especially noobs.
I suggest that there must be stricter requirements too in creating tokens and projects. Like what we are having in this forum. Jr+ are just able to advertise sometimes Full member+.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: trading or faucits on: January 22, 2018, 09:59:45 PM
Well, it's easy to find different faucets but hard to know if they really pay. Also, too much of your time will be wasted that way. I think you will just end up cursing bitcoins like those who are trolling around and spreading FUDs saying bitcoin is not worth it anymore.
While in trading, will will be needing a capital. And there are higher risks today since prices moves too unpredictable and drastic.
But if you know how it goes, it will be profitable.
I don't know about you mate, it's still your choice if you wanted to start trading. I won't recommend any faucets.
In this forum you can find many ways to earn. Suite yourself. Sell your capabilities.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail. on: January 22, 2018, 03:34:54 AM
How in the world you have come to a conclusion that there   40% of the world population can access computers.
Any reference ?

Secondly, I think computers are not the only way to access bitcoins. Mobile phones are developed every year for crying out loud.
Though there are still remote areas in some countries, they can know how to adapt to changes.

Also, Bitcoin doesn't aim to be mainstream but just to be accessible, for convinience, less fees. It can not replace fiat ever. One reason is currency discrepancies.
258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto faster and cheaper?? on: January 22, 2018, 02:57:20 AM
I just made a purchase using Bitcoin today.
The receiver has yet to receive the Bitcoin sent over an hour ago.
And...I was charged $17 in fees (using Coinbase) to complete this transaction!!
How is this digital currency the "thing of the future"??
If I had paid with credit card, my purchase would have been final in seconds with no additional fees.
What is the real advantage of this voodoo currency??

As we know bitcoin, it does what it was intended to do, yet  because of increase in demand and conflict in acceptance really affects the present situation.

I think that the workload added to miners needed incentive  and that causes high fees.

Using bitcoin in purchasing small items is not practical today. I prefer for luxuries is much better than like coffees and candies.

It's your money, use your head. Your in control. Do try other ways to lessen fees your own way.
Complaining isn't going to help the current problem.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Price stabilization on: January 22, 2018, 02:47:32 AM
Stability is not possible. Even fiat is volatile in some sort of way even if the government can make an infinite supply.
In bitcoins case, adaption is still Hold by many countries. I do agree if bitcoins are accepted wide with an authorization from government, volatility maybe less aggressive.
I think that the larger the population involved, the grater the chance that prices will be manipulated. Which less likely to happen because of people's needs.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you do a pump and dump with little money? on: January 21, 2018, 10:28:06 PM
Nope, I guess you won't be moving the market with that little of a money. The movement of prices will be depending on how much you would be placing yourself in the market. The greater the percentage you give in the greater the possibility that you can affect the prices or you can easily manipulate it.
I think it's a bit harder since investors such as businesses are involve now. A single person can't or an average person can't allocate even a near to one percent of investment.
