241  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Electrum - Lightweight Bitcoin Client on: June 22, 2013, 09:39:48 AM
All my balance has 20+ confirm but I get this when trying to send a transaction:

Any idea what is happening?

Using Electrum 1.8

EDIT: Realised those are newly generated coins... Maybe I need more than 20+ confirm.

"Coins generated aren't considered confirmed by the Bitcoin protocol for 100 blocks. It is advisable to wait some additional time for a better chance that the transaction will be propogated by all nodes. The classic bitcoin client won't show generated coins as confirmed until the 120th block."

Found this on google : http://download.electrum.org/

Scam ?

Have lunch the last portable nighlty build in a VM and nothing happen  Huh

I would call 1 out of 47 a false positive. Slush hosts the binaries since Github stopped offering binary downloads.

What is the difference between slush fork and official ?

I don't find the slush repo on Github

245  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / miner-scr v0.8 BETA (A screensaver using phoenix as backend) on: June 20, 2013, 06:32:56 PM
Hi,

I'm not the owner of this project but I think is still interesting to post it there

This can be easily updated since I think the owner has stopped the development and ported to litecoin mining with the available source

Quote
When system is used, mining is performed with low aggression, to prevent screen lags and performance issues. When screensaver is running, mining is performed with high aggression.

Both, CPU and GPU mining is supported.

Screensaver either shows mining statistics or just a black screen. (This is useful for some displays such as LG E2750, which turn off the backlight on black screen without turning off the HDMI sound output.)

252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bitfury is looking for alpha-testers of first chips! FREE MONEY HERE! on: June 17, 2013, 11:23:11 PM
You can buy ASICMINER USB powered stick with 300MH/s performance.
When bitfury will release his chips you will be able to build 5GH/s USB powered stick.
Which one will be giving you more profits?

Is Bitfury going to sell his chips directly to the public? I thought he was supplying chips only to 100TH and MetaBank.

maybe only at start Smiley wait and see

"that pays whom holds"

I don't understand. (...)

Let me try to explain it a little bit more:

I just suggested a kind of bomb that you get paid the value accumulated in jackpot only when the bomb explodes (countdown times up) and you are the last holding it.

Example of reverse coinbomb (10% Interest & 1.25x Multiplier & 1 BTC Jackpot):

1) McCartney first buys the bomb for 0.1 BTC;

2) Lennon buys the bomb (before 24h countdown) for 0.125 BTC (McCartney gets paid back 0.11 BTC);

3) Harrison buys the bomb (before 24h countdown) for 0.15625 BTC (Lennon gets paid back 0.1375 BTC);

4) Starr buys the bomb (before 24h countdown) for 0.1953125 BTC (Harrison gets paid back 0.171875 BTC);

5) Ozzy buys the bomb (before 24h countdown) for 0.244140625 BTC (Starr gets paid back 0.21484375 BTC);

6) 24h countdown finishes without any additional purchase and the bomb explodes. Ozzy wins the jackpot prize of 1 BTC or + (there could be a progressive jackpot that increases itself with every additional buy)!

That's it!

nice concept ! but 1 BTC is too much for the looser in your case need to be adjusted
254  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinBomb.com has just launched! on: June 17, 2013, 04:21:24 PM
I tried to buy a bomb last night but my money was too late.

However, now I've lost the BTC - a fraction under 0.07 - and no response to emails.

Maybe the guy is busy.

Hopefully he'll respond to my email or this post. Better still, he'll send my refund to the address below.

If not that, I would appreciate the option to place my stake on a bomb of my choice.

don't worry coinbomb have a very good support, you will payback for sure Wink

 "that pays whom holds"

I don't understand.

A good idea too for remotivate players because a lot have gone recently, see ltc players.... is to payback 25% or 50% of the price bomb when exploding as a consolation prize

I've fate on you ! Already bought 2000 visits on bitvisitor and 2000 visits on honeybitcoin advertising Wink
