241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 14, 2019, 05:24:04 PM
Can you involve money for you to stop gambling or a gambler can really stop after he promises that if he wins this jackpot he will stop?
This is for the big-time gambler or those who gamble habitually or even those who have the urge to gamble when they have available money.

Yes we can but sadly most pf the time when a gambler wins the jackpot they tend to become greedy and they will forget what they have promised of stopping, the usual mindset is why stop when you are starting to get lucky and they will think that if they will stop then they lose the opportunity to win again. If a gambler really wants to quit they will quit may it involve money or not.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 14, 2019, 04:46:32 PM
From my last post about Bitcoin investment,  following the valuable contributions of members of the forum,  I learnt that Bitcoin investment is not just something that blossoms in a few days,  rather it takes patience.

That gave rise to my new topic.
Bitcoin isn't just an investment, but it is the future...

Let's all share our thoughts about this, in order to encourage ourselves and build a stronger community of users.
bitcoin does exist for the future, bitcoin is 10 years now so it hasn't really died yet, honestly i'm concerned that many people hold bitcoin in their wallets but they don't introduce bitcoin to people around it, i think bitcoin will get a lot of adoptions if bitcoin continues being introduced in public spaces or people closest to you, so don't expect bitcoin to be the future if the above is not done and holding bitcoin in the bag won't help anything

We are already aware that Bitcoin is the future currency, not only in Bitcoin but also all other cryptocurrency, and because of this fact people begun to invest in the crypto world especially in Bitcoin as they know that the value of this will eventually go up beyond our expectation especially now that we know that the adoption is there.

We cant say that for sure because I heard a lot of her says that Facebook Libra will have a mass adoption by storm and when that happens then it could be that it will greatly affect bitcoin’s price but on the bright side bitcoin was here first and stayed long so I guess it will stand it’s ground and prove everyone wrong.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin rise by the end of this year on current time? on: November 14, 2019, 04:34:12 PM
Hmmm that’s quite difficult, I think bitcoin will rise by the end of the year but I can’t say it is 100% accurate because to be honest, I haven’t predicted accurately before, I was able to get lucky at times but there are also times that it is not what we really wanted but i’m sure it will be soon.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 12, 2019, 12:48:14 PM
Any type of addiction may it be gambling or not are all the worst because all addicts can do something horrible to the point that it cost there life and others. I gamble but I made sure to gamble moderately because I don’t want to be addictive to gambling so much and so far I haven’t done anything as stupid as what OP mentioned above. Gambling should only be treated as another way to have fun and enjoy to avoid serious addiction.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bobby lee predicts Bitcoin price to reach $1 Million in a Decade on: November 11, 2019, 03:49:29 PM
I mean, most of us here are bullish on bitcoin long term, but seriously, price predictions are getting really really old. It's a shame that these "crypto news sites" are giving them too much publicity.

This will just be added to the ever growing list of failed price predictions.

Price predictions really are getting old to the point that it is not believable anymore. We all want the price to go up or same with the cliche that it will skyrocket to the moon which would be good but I think these types of predictions are already getting out of hand, yes it maybe true that will be in perhaps reach $20k - $50k soon but $500k within 9 years is way too much. A piece of advise, don't trust fully on other people's prediction because you might only be disappointed.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% guaranteed no loosing sport betting method on: November 11, 2019, 02:54:31 PM
A 100% risk-free? Does such thing exist in gambling? Because as far as I know, when you bet or gamble, it's a risk already.  That's why it's called 'bet', you might lose or win. And when you bet, you're already risking your money. I'm just being skeptical here but I didn't say nor intended to say that it's a bad site. I'm just saying my opinion though. When it comes to gambling, I don't believe nor expect there's a "100%" thing just like 100% guaranteed no losing.

There’s risk in everything we do so if he is saying 100% risk-free that’s just not right because nothing is risk free when it comes to betting. Once you do bet it’s also a gamble and when you gamble there’s risk of either win or lose the battle and no matter how well you think in analyzing things, it is not a guarantee that you’ll win always.
247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Sad news - Coinbase is leaking your information on: November 08, 2019, 01:50:24 PM
It's not surprising that Coinbase would be involved in these sort of services, and they are one of the companies that are all about the bottom line, and maximizing their profits, even at the cost of the customer if it's necessary.

Some of this is unnerving though, I can't believe they would give these "credit check" companies this much information about their customers, but to be honest, I don't think any of them would bother with doing verification themselves, it'll be much too expensive and this is likely why they are working with all of these obscure companies.

It’s just sad that the only thing that matters to them is business and they don’t think about their costumers welfare. They forgot that it was all because of it’s customers that they are able to succeed as a business and that with this they might lose customers and worst it they will lose the business because I think no one would want thier information exposed to any third parties.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Experiences on: November 08, 2019, 12:14:01 PM
I first knew bitcoin through a friend but at first I didn’t put any attention to it because I think it was like some sort of a Ponzi scheme that they just want to invite people for them to get money, as the days went by my friend is quite persistent about investing and that’s when I said to myself to try it but i’m not really expecting to much about it, I also entered trading but I wasn’t lucky or should I say I don’t have much knowledge yet about it so I lost couple of times and about to quit but then one day I came across this forum and i’ve met people as well that helped me understand how bitcoin trading works and now, I can’t say i’m already good at it but I managed to somehow lessen my losses.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: November 08, 2019, 11:56:48 AM
Yes, I understand the message you want to send to the community. but I have many friends, have great trading knowledge but the psychology is not stable. he trades like gambling and keeps losing money when his mind is out of control.
It is the biggest problem that makes many new traders lose. This is also an additional message.
Its just shows that if you want to be a trader you have to be prepared mentally and emotionally.

Gaining knowledge is not enough if you cant set aside your emotion when you trade because you cant apply everything you learn if your emotions dictate you on what to do when you trade.

Trading is not easy especially if you are greedy to earn. Take it slowly and have your own plan and understanding and dont rely to signals or in the analysis of other traders.

Trading does not only require knowledge but a trader should also be prepared emotionally because your knowledge will be useless if you let your emotions do the decisions. If you got to be very emotional in trading tendency is that you make mistakes, your strategies begin to fail because your mind is to focus on your emotions. Trading is not as easy as what most people think so one should be ready mentally and emotionally.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: November 08, 2019, 11:41:35 AM
There is a possibility that it can happen since I guess by that time many people are patronizing bitcoin but we don't know for sure because $50,000 is a bit too far to reach and based on bitcoins performance in a span of a year it doesn’t spike thousands of dollars in a year but we will know for sure once we get there, what is important now is today let’s not focus more about the future because we can’t really predict the future.

No one knows really what the future will look like but I think all of us wanted to have a very bright and good future for bitcoin. However, the future is still far so it is better to focus on today and enjoy what we have today while we can because we don’t know if the future will be the same or better of what we are experiencing now, $50k is a very promising number and hopefully there will really a time we’ll have that amount per bitcoin.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: November 08, 2019, 11:30:11 AM
Definitely the major source of money comes from my daily job and it is not a lot of money but I really glad that early understood that investments it is absolutely important. When I was talking with my friends or colleagues I realize that a small amount of them invest money in assets. Especially they don't think about financial independence and often buy unnecessary things.
Obviously it is a waste when we only spend money on something or goods that are not needed, but when we can think for the long term or for the future then indeed, investment is the main thing to spend your money. So in this case I don't think money from anywhere will be a problem as long as you get the money in a good way to invest, because the thing to worry about is when someone invests from dirty money.
I have source investment money from my job, I working hard every day and save my money to invest with bitcoin, after reach more than 2004 with working a month I use for investing with bitcoin and hope my can increase my money at the future, I pass with many time profit and lost with my bitcoin and altcoin investing and keep working again if my investing have lost.

Investment does not all the time all good there are also times that it may not work the way we wanted but what we really have to make sure is if that investment is worth investing for and that it can provide you profits in the long run. I also have a job and if I have spare money I invested them in bitcoins and now i'm planning to invest not only in bitcoin but also in stocks you know just to have another form of investment but i'm still trying to study more about it and once I already have the money then i'll go for it.
252  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 08, 2019, 07:21:14 AM

253  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Is Why Bitcoin Price Could Hit $55,000 Next Year: Crypto Zombie in Trader’s on: November 08, 2019, 02:23:01 AM
That would be great, but I doubt it will happen.

It just seem to good to be true, it is great if will reach $55,000 next year but it's kind of impossible knowing that the price isn't even stable yet @ $10,000 mark now, the price fluctuates rapidly and I don't think it will soar high to $55,000 in a span of months. Also, consider the FOMOs, panic buying and selling of coins, I think these will just make the price fluctuates even more but let's see.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: November 08, 2019, 01:55:00 AM
If it’s someone I know personally, I would have told them to stop, but if it’s not then I’m gonna mind my own business and just watch their world burn in front of their eyes. The shittiest thing to do is to interrupt someone trying to recoup their losses and clinging on that ray of hope that they’re going to win, and you might get punched in the face for being so nosey even if you’re just being concerned. Looking out for a homie is a good thing, but to gambling degenerates, it will be taken as something negative and will net negative reactions for sure.

It would be safer to mind your own business regardless if it is a friend or not because I think if they are so into the wagering they won't listen anyway, despite your warnings they will still go ahead and do it so let them be besides they will learn their lesson once they lost the money. It's not that I don't care but gamblers don't have the sanest mind at times so they might see you as someone stopping their happiness so just do your thing and mind your own business.
Always at the safe side. if the gamblers have it's own way of thinking then you can't pushed things for them, you have to let things to go according
to what they've think and allow them experienced things that would change their mindsets regarding to this activities. gamblers have it's own way
of realizing, most needs to suffered big loss to understand and stop.

Well, you have a point, gamblers are not typically the most understanding person when it comes to them playing so it is better to leave them that way but if it is a close friend then I think giving an advise or warning is not bad at all, just say it in a nice manner that he would understand and I think he will not take it as a bad thing.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: November 07, 2019, 04:32:48 PM
In my life, complete devastation. A debt hole formed. The family is disappointed in me. Banks do not give loans and debts must be repaid immediately. The only person who stayed with me is my wife. I love her so much. I can’t cope with these problems and only my wife holds me in this world. Is it possible to receive a donation or a crypto loan without collateral online? And how is this best done?
One BTC is around $10k now. It's too expensive and valuable. Those who are holding Bitcoin, they know they have a bright future. No one is going to help you with a fraction of BTC unless you have a collateral.

They question is why would anyone will help a stranger like you?

Exactly, aside from OP being a stranger and also by looking at the account it's new so people here will not trust you easily besides anyone can just tell a story but turns out it was just a lie. I'm not judging or saying his a liar but lets be honest, with all the scam going on in the world may it be in crypto or not no one will right away trust anyone, most especially if there's no collateral.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 07, 2019, 03:59:36 PM
There are a lot of ways to introduced bitcoin to other people, you can use social media, you can also introduce is to your group, co-workers, friends and relatives but educating them maybe difficult most especially if they never really heard of it. Also, most importantly if you will introduce crypto/bitcoin to someone make sure you will disclose everything even the disadvantages so that they will understand completely what they are dealing with and will be investing into.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Newbie looking for advice on: November 07, 2019, 03:29:56 PM
Bitcoin is a very good investment because it can give big profits once the price is high but it is very risky, the price is so unpredictable and it is not right away that you will get profits so I would suggest you use your spare money to invest or the amount that you can afford to lose. Though we are all expecting a bull run it we don't know when will it happen so if you invest all your remaining money it might only stress you out but if you are determined enough then go ahead and invest ay your own risk.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 4 on: November 07, 2019, 02:51:31 PM
Have never had a dream like that, so do not know what to do, maybe when I experience it later I would prefer to leave it because I do not believe in dreams.

If someone dreams about winning lottery or gambling and the dream going real for me it is just a coincidence.

Dreams are most of the time the opposite of what is going to happen so might as well just leave it and don't think about it too much. Also I think the reason of this kind of things is if that is the last thing that your thinking before going to bed or you think too much of how you van really win in gambling or whatever. Anyways, no matter how we look at it, it is just a dream so it would be better not to put attention to it.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach $100k within 5 years from now on: November 06, 2019, 04:15:36 PM
The five years time is to short and I just think we will be able to reach the 100k price in just 5 years, look at what we are now, it's been 10 years that bitcoin existed but we hardly even step on the $20,000 mark, i'm not trying to be as negative as it can be but even if we consider all the factors affecting the price $100k is just too far to reach, I would go with $50k perhaps but $100k, I doubt it.

What you say is true that bitcoin existed for 10 years now but we have not reached $20,000 yet but bitcoin is way popular that it is before which means that a lot is becoming interested in bitcoin unlike when it first started. Also, the supply is almost to it's limit, only a few hundred thousands left to mine and if all coins will be mined then the supply will be scarce and once supply is scare the price tend to go higher so the $100k price in 5 years is possible. The most important lesson I learned from investing in bitcoin is that, nothing is impossible with bitcoin.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: November 06, 2019, 04:00:48 PM
Bitcoin is unexpectedly becoming a recognized payment method. There are loads of different places or websites that will accept payments in Bitcoin and if this continues people will recognize it be accepted but it still depends on the government

That's true, it seems that bitcoin is most widely use online since a lot accepts payment through bitcoin online and bitcoiners also use it to do exchanges from one person to another and I think it will continue to be in the future and I believe it is just a matter of time until a point where majority of the people are using bitcoin.
