241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 14, 2017, 06:40:59 AM
ETH+DCR

Gigabyte WF 1060 3gb 23mhs/304mhs
Asus dual 1060 6gb 23.5mhs/310mhs

Both with samsung memory

Core:+125
Mem:+900

-dcri 40

the tdp?

i have your same cards samsung memory and after i am mining after about 20 min one card goes in block and disappear
if i mine just eth its all ok just i have hasrate drop sometimes.

Did you guys made the calculation what you gain from dual mining? (also considering the higher fee on ETH in claymore)
What I read here is that people face stability issues, cards run much hotter and problems of that kind. Also you stress the cards more which reduces their lifetime.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 13, 2017, 07:19:17 PM
With my first I could run +900 memory clock, but now with 2 GPU im running them with +600~700 memory clock, both with Samsung memory.
Silicon lottery. The overclocking potential is individual for every piece of GPU.
You might have bought 2 identical GPUs - same model, same memory, same production batch, yet one will handle +900 and the second +600.

Also putting +200 on the GPU clock and lowering the PL too much will not have an effect as the card doesn’t receive enough power. Worst case it will even create stability issues.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine and hold? on: December 13, 2017, 07:44:41 AM
Nobody can and should tell you what to mine. I always suggest to build a small portfolio, first mining more reputable and established coins like ETH, Monero, Zec and continuing with newer but stable projects like Zencash, ETC.
Later on you can mine newly released coins too and take some risks.

I wouldnt start to mine sth completely new and hope it goes to the moon - take a look at signatum for example  Cheesy

I just cannot understand how a pool with the majority of hashrate finds just every 7th or 10th block?

I was asking myself the same question. Are there any serious solo miners out there?
Do we have list of pool their hashrate and the global hashrate?
I browsed through all the listed pools and they never account for the entire hashrate.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ellaism: Ethereum network with no premine and no contentious hard forks on: December 12, 2017, 08:33:38 PM
interesting Reddit post, this is nothing but a personal point of view (based on some research though), anyway it's worth reading
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7jch3s/ellaism_ella_is_a_sleeper_and_has_massive_upside/

Interesting thoughts especially the addition to cryptopia intrigues me. No way this founded out of the community donations/pool fees.
Regarding the return better be cautious but it certainly doesnt huet to have like 1k Ella in the wallet. Building a good and diversified portfolio is key.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: December 12, 2017, 01:36:28 PM
So according to cryptopia, bulwark is getting around 0.0002 btc (so that's around $2.5usd per coin, unless my maths is wrong). How much can you get with an NVidia gtx 1070 and 1060. For whatever reason can't seem to find the algo on whattomine? Unless Nist is shorthand for one of the other algos already up there.

gtx 1070 can do around 45 mh/s
gtx 1060 can do around 25-28 mh/s
i think it is very profitable to mine as of now

I was mining BWK just to quickly sort out how my cards work on nist5 and can confirm the numbers. I dont run my cards at full power they consume around 115W each.
The GTX 1070 Ti is able to do 50 MH/s with 125W

50 MH/s on 1070? can you please share your OC setting? are u using alexis miner? thanks.

As stated above this is the hash rate of a GTX 1070 Ti. So it is hashing around 10% higher than the regular version which is basically exactly what one can expect from it Smiley
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 12, 2017, 08:29:55 AM
Let the picture speak for itself Smiley

First Miner - 192.168.2.101
MSI AfterBurner:
Core: +150
Mem: +500

Second Miner - 10.98.0.182
MSI AfterBurner:
Core: +100
Mem: +300

Both machines are completly identical in hardware.

nVidia 1060 6GB Inno3D - Single fan

Any opinions? Suggestions?

Seems to be a appropriate difference in the hashrate when considering the different memory clocks.
I find that your cards are running really hot for ETH mining. I dont even reach such temperatures when mining an Equihash coin. How did you setup the rig? Maybe cards are too close.

Interesting - tagged for myself to look into this.

Cryptopia is working fine so far. No issue with deposits and withdrawals, really fast service. Just trade volume kind of low.

Yeah, same here. I did already multiple purchases over Cryptopia and wired the coins to my wallet later on. Transactions were lightning fast and so far I never encountered any issues with buying or withdrawing BTX.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Volta PCI-E GPU shows up on: December 11, 2017, 08:31:42 PM
@Marvell2: thats a killer price, that what you pay for a 3gb version in europe i reckon. In your case i would probably also expend a bit Cheesy

That's 3gb price here too. If I could get the 6gb for that price I would be swooping them all up for sure.

13gpu motherboards are out of stock here too so it's a no go for me at the moment as the costs rise too much on a 6 card rig.

Yeah I get that wie the rig costs. I have also one board for 11 GPUs not fully utilised as I want to keep some room for good GPU deals. Thinking already about replacing one of the 6 GPU board with an 11 GPU board.
But well thats for the future I guess Smiley

Does it make sense to accelerate a transaction twice? I posted one ID yesterday but unfortunately I dont see any progress so far. If this is not the way how to run this just let me know and I won’t post it a second time.

I find it suprising that even with all the advertisements and guides on how to register your wallet to become eligible for the airdrop, the weekly airdrop is still relatively small.

Do you have a summary on how the airdrop evolved?
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA GTX 1070 TI - Error code 12 on: December 10, 2017, 09:54:54 PM
No need to reinstall windows. It's definitely a BIOS setting as Windows is detecting the card but cannot allocate sufficient resources to properly enable it.
Two things that you need to check:

1. Try different PCIE Settings - for me Gen 1 only correctly detects 5 GPUS switching to GEN2 alone solved the issue
2. Make sure that you enabled the 4G Decoding

If it still doesn't work - try to disable the device and restart Windows. One of the 2 options should actually solve the issue.

Hi there

Can you maybe take a look at this transaction?
https://blockchain.info/en/tx/c6f111197b672a934c740e23c8a14857cec922ee080bf83f69c40abb26536c1c

It's stuck there already for 5 days and starts to seriously annoy me Sad Many thanks in advance!

Difficulty and Nethash going to the moon right now. If it continues at this rate it will soon match the XMR Nethash.

Do you guys keep your ETN? I mostly sell them especially with the current price. If it goes below 500 Sat I will keep them until the next pump.

I’m preparing a short blog post to introduce BTCz and spread the word.
I only have 2k views in the last 2.5 weeks but every bit might help.

I’m mainly writing it for a couple of miners here in Switzerland - they are usually mining bigger coins but maybe they give it a try.

Could you give me the address of your blog? I really want to visit you. EDIT:No need, I've already visualized it in your profile. Smiley

Great Smiley
Finished the short blog post - it's just a short summary nothing special but I will share it in two local FB groups and to some fellow miners.

https://swisscryptominer.blogspot.ch/2017/12/bitcoinz-btcz-mining-opportunity.html

Feel free to add it to the opening post if you thing it is worthwhile and I am more than happy to receive constructive feedback.
A small note: The chart picture doesn't look that bad compared to what my gut feeling told me, I would currently rate BTCZ as neutral.
