Im just glad hes stepped up to carry the torch

Thank you for the community support!

Those of you who are old enough will realize that the explosion of the new coin networks over the last month has something of the intensity of the early days of the internet in the nineties.
From that perspective I found it intriguing to support one of the networks in this embryonic state. So I decided to jump in and provide some technical and business expertise to this venture.

I think its fair to call Titan the luckycoin Dev at this point

Or the luckycoin big holder.. (or both) Wink

I am certainly not the biggest fish in the pond...

What is it?
Network alert - All users must upgrade to Litecoin 0.6.9.1

Its because the creator of the coin forgot to remove something from Litecoin coding it happened on FTC and they now removed it. It was something left over that should of been removed and it also needs to be removed from Lucky however theirs no sign of Lucky creator anywhere seems missing in action

Thanks for the hint. The Luckycoin client uses still the public key of the Litecoin network to check alert messages.
I will replace the public key in the next security update with a new one for the Luckycoin network

These seem to be some messages from the Litecoin network.
I've been already looking into it how they enter the network.
Likely someone messing with the network.

Still overall the Luckycoin network runs quite smooth now with the checkpoints in place.

There is no user action required at this time!

So I applaud the effort but don't see any windows binaries so probably not going to take hold. Unless you have them hiding somewhere.

BitJohn,

The updated GUI clients will be available soon. The initial release of the unix client was of highest priority.

Nice work, although I have to say that adding more checkpoints do not completely prevent the attack, anyone with 51% power can alter the chain from the last checkpoint. Though they can not change anything before it.

arlington, you are right adding some checkpoints does not prevent an attack. Although it is the most basic first step one can do.
I am currently looking into more advanced security tweaks used by other networks and working on realtime network analytic tools to better see whats going on.

so the dev just created this coin and left? is he even developing anything for this coin

The original developer has not been active for quite some time and most likely is not interested in the coin anymore.

Still, there are ongoing efforts by a new group to support the Luckycoin network.
Announcements will come when things are ready.

In the meantime please secure the network!

Dear Luckycoin Community,

The Windows Luckycoin QT client with all security updates is now available on GitHub.
https://github.com/LuckyCoinFoundation/LuckycoinQT

A new security update for the Linux Luckycoin client is also available on GitHub.
https://github.com/LuckyCoinFoundation/Luckycoin

Changes:
1) Alert messages have been disabled.

Please delete the "peers.dat" database if you see too many litecoin nodes with port number 9333 in the getpeerinfo output.

Please report any issues with the clients on GitHub or via private message.

What is use of this forum since people that are registered not able to make posts on desired topics nor to send messages to other members?
Is not easiest to make private this forum than to accepts new members that have no any right?
Is there other OPEN forum that is related to BitCoin FPGA development?

You can request a fast track. Look up the thread: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?)

I like that statement!
