241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing number of altcoin (Good or Bad)?? on: June 16, 2018, 05:03:39 AM

I'm just curious if what are the effect of increasing number of altcoins in the market is it good or bad in crypto currency? Do we really need a lot of altcoins in the market ?.

I think increasing the number of altcoins in the market is not actually bad because it is helping to increase liquidity in the market. These altcoins are emanating from different ICO projects with different utility so they don't have negative effects on the market. It also help to break the monopoly of the market.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I do not panic when the market falls on: June 15, 2018, 04:00:26 AM
For some reason I am sure that the price of the crypto will rise, so I hold it, I did not see any analyst who did not have the same opinion as I do, but thing that motivates me the most — is when I start comparing the whole current situation with the Dot-com bubble, the fact is that this bubble busted reaching 6 trillion dollars, the crypto reached only 830 billion yet, in its peak. During Dot-com bubble only middle and rich class had opportunity to invest but not all, in the crypto everybody can invest, regardless of country and day time and it also can be done anonymously from jour home computer, so I think that this is all just the beginning and the real bubble is yet to come, it is not known when it will come — in five or 10 years, but I hope that it will.

I think for me for the record crypto is not a bubble like the Dot -Com because crypto is based on the blockchain technology, Also crypto price will rise no matter the current situation now because more and more people are adopting crypto in their daily lives.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't cryptocurrencies successful as a medium of payment on: June 15, 2018, 02:46:28 AM
The global economy is nearly 80 trillion USD per year.  Payments using any type of cryptocurrency as a medium of payment is a tiny fraction of this total.

What are some of the reasons preventing cryptocurrency from being more successful as a medium of payment?

I think some of the reasons preventing cryptocurrency from being more successful as a medium of payment is the so many regulations coming from government. Many governments have failed to recognized cryptocurrency as a legal tender in their countries and this is hindering the progress of cryptocurrency globally.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oyster Pearl just scammed us on: June 15, 2018, 02:39:01 AM
People come on to the forums to discuss and share information, both good and bad. Thanks for all the info here about oyster pearl. This is why you have to do your own research before getting into a coin.

I think you are right in your advice, it's today I am hearing about Oyster Pearl scamming people. This is absolutely wrong for Oyster team because so many people trusted them. I would also support what my friend has advice about carrying a due diligent search before engaging in any project ICO.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to the Facebook ban on crypto ads on: June 13, 2018, 03:50:34 PM
It's no news that Facebook has placed a ban on crypto ads on their platform due to scam
What do you think is the solution to this?

Crypto adverts would have generated Facebook more money but if they decided to remove it I think they know the best.  I think there is an underground tone in what Facebook has done which we might get to understand it later. The alternative is to look for other social media networks that would accept crypto adverts.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are altcoin dumping hard at the moment on: June 13, 2018, 02:55:05 PM
Bitcoin and altcoin are on a downward trend as the moment, there is  No FUD or negative news at the moment yet everything is going down. What could be the cause of this?

There was one negative news some few days ago about a korean exchange been hacked, the news gave ripple effects on the crypto market. However the market is trying to correct itself, so soon every thing is going to be normal again.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: June 13, 2018, 02:50:23 PM
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

Really it's very terrible to see such things happening to bounty hunters. KYC has actually defeated the doctrine of anonymity in the crypto environment but there's nothing we can do now because many bounty hunters are already complying with the standard set by these people because of our desperate human nature.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I go for? on: June 12, 2018, 04:31:37 PM
I want to invest  $500 in crypto market. I have studied a little bit about the market. As I am not experienced in this sector, I am a little bit confused where should I invest?
I know my capital is too little.
Would it be wise to invest in Alt coins?
Or should I go for the ICOs?

To me I know an almost completed project that you can invest your money. It's not an ICO but Project that has already entered the crypto market. This project is https://Nexty.io. Nexty is already in an exchange where you can buy and sell it. The exchange to trade Nexty is https://idax.mn. You can invest your money in Nexty.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Law around Privacy Coins (Traveling to Tokyo) on: June 12, 2018, 04:25:54 PM
Is there anything I should not be looking at online outside of the normal stuff for North America? Specifically private crypto currencies? I read a few weeks ago that privacy coins will be illegal as of June 18th. What does this mean? I mine privacy coins in Canada and naturally will be checking my rigs online. I also have tshirts with privacy coin logos on them. Would either of these be illegal? Not planning on spending or mining privacy coins on Japanese soil. Any insights would be appreciated.

Where can we get the news about the illegality of privacy in June 18th because we also want to read about it. I think owners of privacy coins are not suppose to be known because of the nature of the coins so how can government be able arrest offenders. Thanks
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What’s your prediction? on: June 12, 2018, 04:18:22 PM
Hey guys. What situation will be on cryptomarket by the end of the year? Do you think crypto market will recover or not? What price bitcoin will reach by the end of the year?

I want to predict that the cryptocurrency market perform very well by the end of the year because I can see an increase in adoption in the near future. So my prediction about bitcoin price is $16000 at the end of 2018.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your plans with your Altcoin? on: June 12, 2018, 04:12:29 PM
Hi guy

Are you still holding your altcoin?
Have you sold all your altcoin?
You are looking for oppertunity to buy more altcoin?
You are waiting for price to go up?
Which altcoin you are holding?

May I know what are your plans with your Altcoin in the future?

To me there is no way you can hold all your altcoins forever, also there is no way you can sell all your altcoins in a day. The decision to sell is based on certain critical factors like price. For me such decisions like waiting for price rise is the best, however sometimes I sell when the market is in the dip because I want to use the proceeds to buy some other coins. Thanks
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top alt coin is WANCHAIN on: June 12, 2018, 04:04:52 PM

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid getting scammed. on: June 12, 2018, 03:52:11 PM
im a newbie here i really want to get much experience in cryptocurrency and i myself want to learn a lot about it but since im new in this industry everybody warn me to be careful in trading, i really dont know what trading is and how can i get my money stolen from that thing can you guys explain to me?

Trading is a risky business that you have to be careful about it. Before you start to trade you should learn about trading from experts. You should learn how to read charts and candles to analyzed the market situation. You also need patience as one of the basic qualities of trading because without patience you will make a lots of hasty decisions. Thanks
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy time for ETH from 300$ to below 400$. on: June 12, 2018, 03:45:38 PM
If you have ability to hold some coin I believe that ETH will be more profitable from other. I know many alt coins are very low price now. But for me eth is better to hold a little bit. I believe you will never loss.

Holding Ethereum for a very long time does not mean that you can never loose. Investment is a risky venture, you can only measure your risk but you cannot predict what will happen in the future. Most undervalued coins are also very good to invest on.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my ETH and bought ADA on: June 12, 2018, 03:39:09 PM
ADA is worth 1/10th of ETH in terms of market cap, but has so much more potential. Completely lost my confidence in ETH as new ICO's on decline, unknown inflation etc etc.

There was no need to lose confidence in Ethereum because of ADA because there was no need to put all your eggs in one basket. You should spread your tentacles to other areas of investments. You should have a portfolio of different assets class not one for risk security sake.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization of Ethereum: myth or truth? on: June 09, 2018, 07:10:03 AM
Decentralization is an integral part of any crypto currency?
Invulnerable decentralization is a myth or reality? What do you think of this?

Decentralization for Ethereum is not invulnerable because there is no centralized ecosystem, its an ERC20 smart contract blockchain that is completely decentralized from different computer nodes. Its decentralization is completely realistic with the EVM machine.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 best altcoins in 2018 on: June 09, 2018, 06:44:47 AM
nowadays there are so many altcoins in circulation, if we look at coinmarketcap, there are already thousands of altcoins, I want to ask you all, what are the best 3 altcoins in 2018?

One of the best altcoins in circulation is https://nexty.io, also Fluxorin ICO is going to produce one the amazing altcoins in the crypto space; its a decentralized gaming project. Also Ethereum to me is also doing well recently.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are investors looking for in an ICO? on: June 09, 2018, 06:35:17 AM
Hello Everybody,

Could you please share, if familiar, what are investors usually looking for in an ICO?

I am part of a team managing ICO (soon it will be announced) and it would be useful to know what the investors are considering when investing in an ICO?

Thanks in advance.

Investors are looking for a strong and powerful team with lots of experience, a realistic project/service concept, a project/product with large market, a decentralized governance structure and lots more.

260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IoTex on: June 06, 2018, 11:56:23 AM
IoTeX is a IoT oriented platform for the next generation of block chain, depth in scalability, privacy, independence, etc, all have their own characteristics, tried to breed new Internet applications and building block chain ecosystem to provide comprehensive support.

The biggest goal of IoTeX is to solve the problem that the Internet of things is difficult to go mainstream. The first is interoperability. IoTeX is trying to make the Internet of things connected and interoperable through its own solutions, not only that, but also to scale and expand. It will allow IoT to be interoperable, without the need to worry about limits on power, storage, and so on. Ultimately, IoTeX to be a iot enabler, give iot extension ability, make the Internet of things true availability, low cost, ensure privacy and security, interoperability, etc.

IoTeX to become enabler of Internet of things, is to provide service for the whole ecosystem of the Internet of things, including IoT equipment manufacturers, IoT equipment control system, intelligent household, supply chain data integration, data crowdsourcing suppliers, self-driving car manufacturers, etc. By providing the block chain basic technology for the various subjects of the Internet of things industry, the development bottleneck of the Internet of things will be solved, and finally the Internet of things will be promoted to the mainstream.

This IoTeX blockchain development vision of yours is a good one and very innovative. If the project implementation is carried to the letter it would revolutionized the crypto- blockchain technology. It's a welcome development; solving issues like scalability, privacy and independence?. Anyway, Can you trough more light to the issue of independence. Thanks
