241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Devil's Advocate: How to stop Bitcoin on: November 17, 2013, 10:30:56 AM
Let's say the a government wanted to completely shut down Bitcoin's use. How would they do it?

How would a single person or group of persons, potentially with unlimited funds, shut down Bitcoin?

Just make new law making using unverified coins (ID validated) illegal. Simple + cheap + probably will happen
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Trade My Silver For Bitcoins? on: November 17, 2013, 10:26:44 AM
SO, this is my question: Should I Trade My Silver For Bitcoins?

Depends how many Bitcoins you already have. If none, then sell part of your Silver for BTC. But if you have at least half value in Bitcoin compared to Silver, do not sell for BTC..
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1,000,000 usd on: November 17, 2013, 10:00:09 AM
impossible

thats why

21 millions btc  *   1 000 000 dollars equals 21 trillion dollars.  its not reasonable lololol

The US national debt worth $17 trillion.

The American financial markets, derivatives and unfunded liabilities exceeded $1 quadrillion.

However all that can be paid off by minting a quadrillion-dollar platinum coin.

No need for quadrillion-dollar platinum coin, steady inflation will do the trick and interest from quadrillion-dollar debt can be payed. This inflation trick is cheat, but you should never ever save USD as investment  Smiley
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many BTC is enough? on: November 10, 2013, 12:22:12 AM

246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Will Bitcoin Reach $1000?? on: November 10, 2013, 12:08:11 AM
The way the price is skyrocketing, the market is bound to face a crash!

I would say correction. I feel the correction is almost comming. No $1000 this year I believe

Coinchat will probably take a bit longer since inputs.io just got hacked.

Thats true, I miss Coinchat as well. Fortunately TF reimburse inputs.io stolen balances
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How anonymous is BTC.... on: November 04, 2013, 09:36:57 PM
I dont worry about anonymity of my coins, it is not important for me at all. Fortunately most users fail to this category I guess, because just using Bitcoin-qt + exchanges = no anonymity
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Mass Adoption of BTC on: October 29, 2013, 06:48:22 PM
A store of wealth for the coming years, but still used for blackmarket transactions.

However eventually mass adoption will occur and an increase in micro-transactions. Though i don't know the block chain can handle so many transactions at one time. We shall see.

Depends what you mean micro-transactions. If normal shopping amounts 10+ USD, should be not problem. Currently minimal amount to send is about 5500 satoshi, its not even 1 cent !

Also, I like the sidenote that, if not bitcoin, then its successor will (probably) succeed.

I dont believe this. The most used wins no matter of the flaws it has, look at Microsoft Operation Systems.

259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you do with your coin ? on: October 18, 2013, 07:46:45 AM
i am looking after for a site pyramiding something that you can invest for hash power

Pyramining was good months ago. Now there are better options to invest for hash power but even those wont make your BTC back most likely. So better is hold BTC
260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: October 18, 2013, 07:41:08 AM
The question is not whether btc will reach 1000 USD but whether that 1000 USD will buy one hamburger at that time...

It is just 6x bigger price than today. If you look at recent years increases, there would be no big surprice if it hapens next year
